3021  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit.net - just 'Bugs' or Suspicious activity? on: August 18, 2013, 07:12:01 AM
Honestly it does seem pretty suspicious to me now that I've looked into it a bit. I'm not saying the owner is trying to scam etc, there is no hard evidence of that. However, I do recommend that anyone looking to invest their bitcoins does so through the various avenues available on the securities section or considers a deposit in j-d or coinlenders.

We have 1000-1500 unique visits per day, this is 6 times more than just-dice, didn't hear anyone bring it up with them.

That's the 2nd attack from you I've seen this evening.  Are you upset about something Just-Dice did?

Our visitor counts:

3023  Economy / Lending / Re: Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 18, 2013, 06:32:06 AM
Open a new thread about that, please, since it will end up derailing the thread.

Thanks for keeping this on track Kouye!  This is a very interesting concept here with 0% interest and I respect this thread... I will give you full support in the future for this idea.

Amount requested: BTC1.302

Purpose: To create DIY threads and youtube videos that may be able to help further the development of open source solutions to the ever growing rising proof of work difficulty from pre-shipping mining vs Avalon ASIC shipping delays.

This is a huge request I am making of you to "Lend" based upon my belief that some homemade rigs will still be able to mine data in the next few months.  I have been extremely lucky to receive support thus far from people like:

SebastianJu (Group buy coordinator and Avalon chip dispersal extraordinaire). He sent me one sample Avalon from Germany to the USA that fell off the back of a truck in China =D

Bkkcoins (Hardware development genius).  He is sending me one K1 PCB and two K16 PCBs with solder stencils.. re-flow paste.. small heat sinks..and pre-programmed PIC firmware that is currently mining from my understanding.  He releases all of his documents and you can find great info on making your own boards and ordering from him here...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731.0

Order site:

https://klondikedesign.com/

I should have the PCBs in about 3 weeks time.. Bkkcoins is doing his best to get PCB's and stencils made as quickly as he can.  GJ to him btw!  I have the needed components on the way... that being said here is a warning issued by Bkkcoins that I would like anyone considering sending me BTC to read about the project at hand...

"Bitcoin ASIC Miner Project

WARNING:

This project is incomplete and in progress. There may be errors, mistakes, incomplete portions at this time. Do NOT use these project files to order circuit boards until they have been finished and confirmed to work."

Full warning and agreements can be read at https://github.com/bkkcoins/klondike.

Upon receipt of BTC1.302 I will combine it with my already invested BTC1.45 to place an order for 32 Avalon ASICs @ BTC0.086 = BTC2.752

I will be covering all of the shipping costs to get the chips to my door step.  If I act quickly I may be able to get this price on a Batch order to ship early September.  There are of course countless threads dedicated to the problems Avalon is having getting the chips out so it could take much longer and "ROI" will not happen... BTC1.302 may not qualify as a "mini-loan" but if anyone is interested in investing in DIY boards... feel free to post back or PM me or contact any of the other developers working these boards...

List of all of the start up company and open source devs...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=192860

Term: This is a really good question... It has many variables.. it might take a whole new thread for me to answer this... I am willing to start skype conversations if the lender is interested in updates on project times... there is about a two month or so deadline before the difficulty rises too high to make mining back any BTC possible... to be negative perhaps or ready for the outcomes stated from previous problems listed above.

Trusted?: I am new to bitcointalk.org.  I have been active here for about month now or so.  I am trying to develop a good reputation here and do all that I can to help the open source community at large... I am open to any questions or help or interest anyone may have in Bkkcoins and DIY minners or myself! I do not expect any "loans" or "donations".  I like the idea of 0% interest this thread offers so I support it with my project of building a few K16's .  And I do not have the current resources.. broke college grad.. to populate all of my boards.  Of course if BTC mines back.. after understanding the risks involved.. I will give all of the profits made first to the lender Stunna as to pay off his investment in this project. The gratitude would live forever.

I hope this thread remains legitimate and you have luck with your future 0% loans!

I'm willing to approve this loan, send me a PM or post below to discuss the term of the loan and if you could place some collateral that would be great. You seem like a pretty genuine person, I like to think I'm a decent judge of character.  Ultimately I'm trying to keep this going as long as possible, so whoever defaults will simply be restricting other users from getting a loan. I'd also like to pose the deal that you cannot request other loans while owing money to me.

Thanks

Received this valuable input from a user via PM which has made me decide to Deny these two requests unfortunately. Thanks to that user, not sure if they want me to mention his/her name.

- Gone dormant for over a month since on May 5th.
- Came back to post on a giveaway thread.
- Apparently sold LABCOIN shares, in fractions (at least 500 + 2000) - but no trust feedback on his account, that is weird. He hasn't replied either to the thread question asking if everything was sold.
- Posted a warning about an obvious facebook phishing attempt that was already (maybe not the same url, but still...) posted several times.
- Not a single post since then, but he jumped on your loan offer, so he's lurking among others in the Lending sub.

I wouldn't risk any coin with him.

zeeshanblc
- Goes dormant for a month on july 16th
- Comes back and post a random "Welcome" on newbie forum
- Jumps straight to your post after this.

If I was a hacker and successfully took over this account, which is all about powercoins - check post history, I would have easily made up a credible story about trading altcoins, too.
Plus, he asks for 0.5, when you clearly said 0.2 was the limit, unless they had a good reason.

If I was you, I'd have someone confirm he's still the same guy. Maybe through NWO, which has some positive trust - meaning not much, unfortunately.

If the account owner is still the same, I'd risk a 0.2 with him, but no more.

I'll be out for the next 6 hours or so, I will consider the next request when I return.
3025  Economy / Lending / Re: Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 17, 2013, 05:01:12 AM
Both Zeeshan and John under review, if anyone has any input regarding their requests I'll happily take it into consideration.

I'll approve or disapprove your loans by tomorrow.

If by "long time" you mean registered in September 2012, then made almost every one of your posts on May 15th, 2013, and by "conducted trades" you mean entirely unverifiable trades with no record on the forums, then ok.

Please leave the decision to the op.  I'm willing to give passwords to my accounts on various exchanges and explain how its been done.

It seems scammers have left scars that cannot be healed and legit loans are affected. If you view almost all loans are scams please request thymos to close this section.

How exactly are you going to successfully arbitrage when you cannot withdraw cash from mtgox? If you provide more information and have a way to pay me even if your money gets caught up in gox I'll consider a loan. Also I'd want to see proof that you're verified on these various exchanges.
3027  Economy / Lending / Re: Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 17, 2013, 02:53:43 AM
What is mean by legitimate purpose ? Gambling is categories as not legit ?

Would basically just define that as any purpose other than simply posting to loan to gain trust or scam. Gambling is fine as long as you do so responsibly and are sure you can repay on time.
3028  Economy / Lending / Re: Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 17, 2013, 02:46:14 AM
I'm wrong or not ? You give 0% interest , mean we only pay what we lend ?

Yes, exactly. If you borrow .1 you repay .1 at the end of the duration.
3029  Economy / Lending / Re: Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 17, 2013, 02:35:54 AM
You able to loan me?

Given your track record going to have to give you a definitive no.
3030  Economy / Lending / Re: Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 17, 2013, 02:07:00 AM
Nice one Stunna.   Can we make any contributions to you for the purpose of funding this thread?

Thanks for the offer, but prefer not to risk other people's bitcoins. Feel free to make your own thread if you'd like and do the same.
3031  Economy / Lending / Re: Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 17, 2013, 01:25:15 AM
Nice! Hope you don't end up burned.

Figured I'd risk a few btc and give it a shot, I'll close if the % of defaults is too high.
3032  Economy / Lending / Stunna's 0% interest mini loans on: August 17, 2013, 01:00:37 AM
Please Read:
Have not had time to properly operate this thread, anyone who is interested please view https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=288543.0 I am not accepting current offers at this moment, if you are currently borrowing please do your best to return your loans in a prompt matter.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Status: Not lending at this moment

Willing to lend users small amounts. At 0% Interest

In most cases this is .2 BTC and under unless you give me a compelling reason to give more.

Terms
  • Must borrow for a legitimate purpose, no confidence/trust loans. To discourage this, in most cases I will not leave trust
  • Loans handled on a case by case basis
  • I have the right to decline any requests I see unfit
  • No sob stories
  • You may not take out other loans during this period
  • If you have overall negative trust or under 50 activity you will most likely be denied.
  • If you are borrowing money to arbitrage, gamble, or do anything risky then you must leave collateral.
  • NEW: You must be a Full Member or higher, no inactive/bought accs.
  • Maximum term is now 2 weeks
  • If you don't properly follow instructions or post a minimum effort request, don't expect a reply
  • Do not PM me your initial request, this should be public.
  • I will only have 5 active loans out at once, defaults do not count towards this.

Example Request
Amount requested: .1BTC
Purpose: Buy graphics for my ad campaign
Term: 1 week
Trusted?: I've conducted trades with various users, have been a long time member etc.

On majority of smaller lends (.2 and less) the collateral will simply be your reputation, I will leave you negative trust if you fail to return the borrowed amount by the end of the term. On larger amounts I have the right to ask for other forms of collateral. I'll try to approve/deny all loans within 12 hours.

Why am I doing this?
I'd consider this more of an experiment than anything. Hopefully I can help do some good without getting burned too badly in the end. I've started this in reaction to the massive interest fees in this section. Anyone reading this that supports this thread, I encourage you to make your own thread and do the same if you are willing to risk whatever you lend out. Worst case scenario, I can rid the forum of a few convincing scammers at the rank of full member+

Been on the BETA for PrimeDice Pro or 2 or whatever you're calling it.

It's honestly very good, definitely setting a new standard for dicing I believe.

But what on Earth is this about??

I assume it's just a place holder for the new FAQ for now... But my God you have a creative developer or something. I can't imagine you writing that up at least, Stunna. Haha

Very funny, our dev must have written that.  Cheesy

Wouldn't really work well due to chess-bots

If you want to make a wager on a friendly game of chess though, I suggest posting a proposal under the gambling section. I'm not very good but I might take you up on it some time.

EDIT: markjamrobin and I have engaged in a game on chess.com for a 5mbtc wager each.  Smiley

Not a bad idea, your seven wonders of the world list is pretty subjective though. Those are the seven wonders according to the American Society of Civil Engineers. Also I recommend tossing up a QR code for your address.

EDIT: Tomatocage has tossed him and his sockpuppets negative trust, thanks!

His posts:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=273686.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=267297.0

Summary: User claims to be an ebay user who sells physical bitcoins. He comes to bitcointalk essentially offering them for free after shipping and then starts a giveaway to prompt more sales. No established user has received their coins

With regards to the people who received theirs:

got mine, took 2 days from Alicante to León.

Brand new member, could easily just been an alternate account.

Received mine, thank you.

This was ordered through ebay not bitcointalk. There is no proof that the ebay user Artiqvae is the owner of the bitcointalk account.

Hi.

I sent BTC a few days ago, sent you a private message and posted on this thread. Can you confirm BTC receipt and that my round is coming?

Thanks.

Has not replied to this user who ordered one.

Users who I believe to be his sockpuppets:

Rickyrozay: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=138411

MasterMinero
: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=140247

Both of these new users provided vouches as soon as someone mentioned:
If one of the people in this thread confirms receiving the coin I will buy one.

Trade with caution, does not seem like a legitimate seller. Regardless of whether or not this is a scam, buyers always question whether something sounds too good to be true.

Definitely is some decent publicity, however the guy being interviewed from mashable wasn't very well versed in bitcoin at all. Not sure why they wouldn't bring someone far more involved in bitcoin.

Hopefully people will go ahead and google bitcoin themselves and start learning for themselves.
