What are you offering for collateral?

BTCJAM users never offer collateral.  They just scam.

There are some loans that are like 100% + secured...  Isn't that collateral?

"Secured" with a personal guarantee is worthless.

hello to all the good people of bitcointalk,

I was wondering if it would be worth my while taking out a loan to by something substantial. (Mining hardware)
Any feed back would be much appreciated.

Without collateral, you wouldn't get much if anything.
3083  Economy / Lending / Re: 5 BTC Loan with 15% interest. To be invested in cryptocurrencies, and ASIC Miner on: September 11, 2013, 06:19:25 PM
No good sitting at your house and expensive to ship.

I figured since this is a loan with many investors, I would payback in BTC. I can sell these if something were to happen, and I don't have the money.  I won't be needing to sell these items, because I receive income monthly that will cover this loan.  However you asked for collateral, and that is what I have to offer.

Collateral isn't to cover you, it's to cover the loaner. Without it, I will not loan anything close to this amount.
3084  Economy / Lending / Re: 5 BTC Loan with 15% interest. To be invested in cryptocurrencies, and ASIC Miner on: September 11, 2013, 06:08:21 PM
I have a 55" LG LCD TV to sell.  Along with an Acer Chrome book, a macbook pro laptop, and a Toshiba satellite.  Would that work as collateral?  These items can be sold at half price, and still pay off the loan.
Why not sell an item or 2 for the amount requested? Collateral needs to be cheap enough to send for escrow and valuable enough to more than cover the loan amount plus interest.

2 of these, work well for LTC. Sitting idle for a few months, were replaced with 7950's. 1BTC each, shipping to lower 48 included. Escrow is fine but you handle it.
I also have 3 - 5850's to sell, 2 are reference the other is XFX.
GPU's are starting to pile up.  Grin

650W True Rated PSU is capable of handling the 2. Cheesy

I have 2-7950's with an X6 CPU on a 650 PSU, no issues.

Looking better I think?

Much better. Grin
Now work on the Rejects. May need to keep lowering.

I have good results with 3.1.
3093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm not getting the hash rate I should on: September 09, 2013, 12:07:49 AM
HW4 and A16 isn't good. 700Kh/s isn't worth much if half are bad. HW needs to be 0.

Could please explain to me what "HW4 and A16" is and what I should change?

Keep lowering your clocks(core in particular) until you get HW 0. They way I understand it, HW = errors and A is accepted. You showed Accepted as 16 with 4 errors. Out of 14k Accepts, I have HW1.

HW:294

Yep. Lower your clocks.
3096  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need a small amount of BTC, paying with ppusd! on: September 08, 2013, 05:48:42 PM
No it wont. But charging back $13 is very petty.
Its the dumbasses accepting $100+ from an noob.
99.99% chance of a charge back.

Are you willing to escrow 6-8 months? Some will sell their mother's snatch for far less.
3097  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need a small amount of BTC, paying with ppusd! on: September 08, 2013, 04:45:09 PM
Hello,
I have $13 paypal, and could use some btc. Please pm me. Escrow if i cant verify your ratings!
Thanks

And you are the one telling others to use escrow Tongue  Can't verify my ratings?  I don't see any ratings you have. Smiley
Listen, Im aware of PP.
What i initially posted was im willing to escrow. Thats all that matters! (ratings or no ratings)!
If you could help me i will gladly appreciate it.
Thanks!

Escrow won't mean squat when you do a charge back.

You do realize people avoid PP like the plague?
3099  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to buy 3-4 BTC via Bank verified PP on: September 08, 2013, 02:14:46 AM
Don't know if the bank verified part helps at all.  I will obviously go first and would like to deal with older member if possible.  I would like 3-4 btc total for a purchase, but will buy in increments if someone doesn't feel safe.

Avid reader of the forums, only posts i have are from my horrible xp with BFL luckily though i got a refund.  I will send you a copy of my current driver's licence with name matching my paypal ect also.

PP is frowned upon, too easily charged back. Your ID won't matter at all when the charge back occurs and there is no way short of meeting in person that ID belongs to you..
3100  Economy / Lending / Re: 8BTC Loan needed on: September 05, 2013, 12:45:37 PM
I need invest in a low risk investment. I will return back every week until the loan is fully paid+ 4% interest. I will pay at an average of 0.20 every week based on profitability calculator. I do have a decent job, a house. I do not gamble much. The address is here: 15JRYStbJvetYVE4eHcmHJmw5yftBK65bB . I am willing to provide you with infomation that does not concern about my location and not invade my privacy.

So, you want 41+ weeks to pay this off? Not worth it IMO, not for 4%. Without collateral, you may be out of luck. Since you have a job, save then do your investment.

Edit: How? You need to send the lender something easily sold for $1000 USD in case you default.
