3141  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: February 20, 2022, 04:39:40 PM
Thats really not to say that there are no vulnerabilities in gambling websites that are experienced, have good security and know what to look out for. I believe that almost every single gambling website has certain problem areas that can result in vulnerability hacks. The newer exchanges just have a much higher chance of having more of them as well as having teams that do not understand how to protect their site...

As long as it is a legit website with KYC, your missing funds will always be legally returned to you, in the event of a hack. The website bears full responsibility for that.

Now, untrustworthy sketchy websites on the other hand....Good luck getting your money back.
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still not satisfied with crypto games on: February 20, 2022, 03:25:26 PM
Getting bored with crypto gaming projects, I'd like to make money out of something fun to play but with crypto games it's really about the money you will make out of the games, I've not seen real good game Devs utilizing the power of blockchain or maybe it's my taste of games that im used to, I just still prefer spending more time on my Xbox than crypto games because it's more fun than crypto games

I think its mostly because crypto games are just way too new and underdeveloped to be able to compete with the traditional gaming market. Once we start making better/more complex smart contracts that can really integrate into good games, we will only see some better stuff.

But then again, I think the only reason they are "boring" is because we compare them to traditional games that are way more developed over the years.

Blockchain as it currently is, might just be not complex enough. Or perhaps we haven't thought of a good way to make a good, new, never before seen game with blockchain technology.
3143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 20, 2022, 02:40:24 PM
Once upon a time people thought Walker could defeat Jon Jones today proves its just not the case. Its heck of a fall for him. Its a one punch knockout. I think his legs will dance on its own if he had gotten up quickly. It'd be more embarassing. Jahamal saved him from that by throwing another hit on the ground. Lost some of my bets but sure made big win thanks to Hill.

That might be a bit of a illogical statement, if you look at the fight experience between Jahamal and Walker. Its obvious to me that this might have been a one-time, lucky win. Jahamal Hill's reaction to the "amazing knockout" on the UFC post show really just goes to show that he himself was quite surprised about the event. He was not really expecting it himself. Although, Hill's 10-1 wins/losses are nothing to scoff at.

Maybe Walker just had a bad day or got unlucky, who knows? These things happen in any sport, especially a close contact one like boxxing. Maybe its just me as a Walker fan who has the wrong notions but I still see it as a lucky fluke.

Lets see how Hill does in his next fight.
3144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: February 19, 2022, 03:10:42 PM
I can't believed that Garcia has choosen Joe Goosen as his trainer for this fight. I mean he has been with Eddy Reynoso, the trainer of Canelo Alvarez and it seems he is doing good for Ryan and Alvarez and Garcia is very close.

That's why I was surprised to see Canelo criticizing Garcia at one point. Maybe he already severed his tie with Reynoso or if this is just a one time trainer with Goosen.

There should be no bitterness or something related to that. Everything changes or unexpected things really happened. Regardless of the history or issues with the trainer, the important part is, if they will be a big help to those who hired their service.

Ryan Garcia, whatever the reason he made that selection should not be a problem.

Let's see at some point if their tandem will make Ryan a much better fighter.

I didn't say though that there is bitterness from Ryan Garcia, I'm just surprised by the move and then seeing Canelo going into public and saying things against Garcia might have been the trigger point.

@Kasabus - yeah, for sure this will be a test for Garcia, but I don't think that the rounds an be extended. I'm seeing Garcia maybe winning by less than 8 rounds?

I could support your claim that of Garcia winning by less than 8 rounds, however I think it might be cutting it tight, seeing as you are underestimating Emmanuel Tagoe by quite a lot.

And as to bitterness, I would claim that there is always a certain bitterness in the air, as this fight as any fight always has a certain amount of personal feelings. Especially with the trainer history as it is.

In fact, hiring the trainer might have been motivated by personal feelings if anything.
3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 19, 2022, 02:24:54 PM
Hi fellow gamblers,

I live in a country where gambling is actually legal, but due to some religions that consider gambling is illegal... gambling is pretty strict in my country but it's still allowed if you play on licensed casino, that's just my story.

Well, I've seen so many online casino in this forum and it's really attract me to play. But I don't know why I can't access the casino, while I can access the other casinos. My internet connection is good and my country doesn't got blacklisted by the casino, what's the problem then? Does this because my internet service provider, what should I do to solve this?

I wouldn't play with VPN since it's breaking their rules, I'm really looking to solve this. It's really sad when you want to play on specific casino but there's a barrier obstructing your desire. I know there's an alternative casinos, but I have some personal reason to play in specific casino...

Now, I would not want to give you any faulty advice, however I am not aware of anyone getting caught or banned because of using any VPN services. So as far as using a VPN goes, it should be safe.

Is it even possible to tell if you are using a VPN unless a lot of people use the same VPN or if the VPN services and their IPs are public knowledge? Hard to tell, really. I would recommend doing some research on the VPN servers to find out whether or not they are detectable. Perhaps withdraw all your accounts funds first, make a new account and play around with at most, tiny amounts to see if you get detected.

Its risky but I think you don't have many other options.
3146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 18, 2022, 06:37:19 PM
Bitcoin has never been a safe haven. It was never supposed to be a safe haven or "anonymous". It was supposed to be decentralised, public and out of control of the governments or anyone elses hands. That makes it FAIR. And it does not get fairer than that.

Does that mean there are no safe havens? There are. Monero is a very safe haven, for example. But then again, Monero is not and will never be what Bitcoin is and what Bitcoin stands for. Freedom for the people and a sanction against the corrupt and broken fiat monetary system.

Criminals will never be safe. There will always be ways that will get them caught, sooner or later. Its the criminals like bankers and fund managers who use legal methods to screw everyone else over that we want to eradicate.
3147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine Just Legalized Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 03:42:17 PM
I somehow get the odd feeling that all of a sudden, countries are "legalising" Bitcoin without actually wanting to go full Bitcoin except El Salvador. Why not recognize it as legal tender, already? Ukraine has around 7 times the populations of El Salvador, so we could see a very nice pump. But as of currently, I only see dips. Really not so sure as to why Russia and Ukraine legalising Bitcoin hasn't had an effect on the price...

Is it the war scare? Whats really going on?
3148  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russian gov agreed to regulate crypto like currencies, not not assets on: February 18, 2022, 02:23:49 PM
From this newspaper that is nationally distributed in Russia: https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/5206307

The Russian government and the Bank of Russia have agreed to regulate cryptocurrencies like currencies, not assets

Its a bit confusing to think this wouldn't be seen as good news and yet the Bitcoin price keeps dropping, even in light of this news. Is the regulation for currency somehow of a lesser advantage than the regulation of an asset? Surely you have pay taxes on both... And if anything, the fact that it is regulated as a currency could mean a door opening for the legalisation of Bitcoin as legal tender? Like in El Salvador? Undecided

3150  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The best countries tax wise for Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 12:09:53 PM
I agree with Germany being the best country, tax wise for any cryptocurrency. But then again that only holds true if you can fulfill the expected conditions. If you hodl your crypto and do not sell/trade for one year, then you do not have to pay any taxes on the profits. You are allowed to shift your crypto from one wallet to the next, but as soon as you trade crypto for crypto, thats considered selling too.

We are seeing new laws for staking rewards that consider a 10 year rule, however, as far as I know, pure hodling is still 1 year.

3151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 18, 2022, 09:54:31 AM
I haven't really been in the loop of boxxing fights regarding professional boxxers like Kell Brook so this might be a little bit naive of me to ask, however I still feel the need to ask as I am a bit curious: Why does everyone keep saying that Kell Brook is going for Amir Khan's chin in the fight and if he does not, it would be a waste?

Did Khan have a chin injury or is that just somehow Kell Brook's special move? To go for the opponents chin?

Seems like a typical practice in boxxing anyhow, so is there any need to say anything much about it?

Check Youtube and use the keyword Amir Khan all losses and you'll find out why he is called glass chin most of his losses are coming from punch in the chin, the Canelo fight is very popular because it only took one punch in the chin to knock Khan out and it's a very worrying knock out because he was out in the middle of the air with his head banging in the floor of the ring.

Really? Well that does sound like something he should have learned / trained to guard for, by now. If he keeps losing because of his supposed "glas chin", then it only makes sense to build up some kind of future defense against it during his next opponents fights.

But I am guessing his opponents love that weakness very much, it must be something like a "press here to win instantly" button. The Canelo fight does seem quite interesting, excuse me while I go and take a look Cheesy
3152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investor Psychology on: February 17, 2022, 08:36:08 PM
People were willing to buy bitcoin at all time high prices and everyone was greedy. Now when bitcoin is half the ATH price, we see no buying pressure. It's strange that people are willing to get bitcoin at high prices but they don't buy it when bitcoin is available at fair cheap prices. This is strange bitcoin investor's psychology.

I can attest with this kind of scenario. I have seen so many times already different kinds of people whenever there's pump and dump happening and mostly, these people are just everywhere. Whenever bearish market enters and coins suddenly drop price position, people are fearful, they tend to sell right away. Meanwhile, when price position is low, most people still try to enter despite the price which doesn't totally makes sense. I believe this is mainly because of three main factors which are greed, loss of hope, and unchecked and lack of information.

Greed. Most people whenever they see high price value, they would want it too. I mean, who wouldn't want gains right? However, some people do it the wrong way. Instead of buying in low price position, they buy in high position. Most people are encouraged and enticed to take the risk because of the hype. And oftentimes, they were left behind in the upper position because most people, particularly the experts already took profit resulting to gradual change in value specifically decreasing manner. Some people are just too greedy to generate money and in the end, they end up losing instead of profiting.

Loss of hope. Some people are not really emotionally strong to risk whenever they see unpleasant scenarios such as seeing a downtrend in graph. They tend to be fearful and doubtful whenever dips happen. Some thinks that it may not be able to recover and they would just end up losing money if they would risk it. Which is also justifiable since not every dip is worth it to buy. But sometimes, you just really gotta take the leap of faith and trust in the coin as long as you know they have a nice whitepaper and projects in the future. I have heard so many confessions of regrets because they didn't buy in low position. Turns out, the coin they think will continuously dump suddenly skyrockets after several years. Just like what happened with bitcoin.

Unchecked and lack of information. This is one of the factors too and actually it plays a great role. This usually is the reason behind the greed and fear of investors and traders. Oftentimes, they are misinformed about something and didn't bother to have a fact-checking before delving into it. And sometimes, they just don't bother to search and equip themselves with knowledge.

Being so fearful won't get you nowhere the same way with being so greedy. So you must really know when to invest and when not to. And being so complacent to the point that you no longer check and feed yourself necessary knowledge about the things you do makes a conflict too. Let us always be a responsible investor. Let's do our part such as doing in depth research to avoid wrong timings and regrets.

Exactly my sentiment. And I would even go as far as to claim that this is the same sentiment that everyone in the Bitcoin investment world develops after their initial trial and error phase where they lose all their money from panicking, selling during dumps and buying when their fomo kicks in. Expensive lessons to be sure, but I feel like its the only way some people learn, which is to say, through pain.

What can you do, everyone is only human. Roll Eyes
3153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: February 17, 2022, 03:51:43 PM
I do sometimes wonder, when watching these egomaniacs make schizophrenic statements like "I am Satoshi" without providing any concrete proof, whether or not the real Satoshi, someday, if he/she chooses to appear in public and make himself known as Satoshi, would ever consider going against those faketoshis legally, for using his name. I imagine Satoshi could legally embarress and torture these faketoshi idiots.

It just really goes to show how fake and greedy our current civilisation really is... Roll Eyes
3154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lies and critics about bitcoins on: February 17, 2022, 03:07:31 PM
Medium's a platform where anyone can write what they believe, and their audience can react to that. Given that it's basically a place with personal blogs, it's not surprising that it has both good and bad articles of varying quality. That's why I usually don't read Medium articles. But what's interesting is that even reputable media like Forbes can sometimes publish misleading information (not false, but manipulative) about cryptos, focusing a lot on sudden significant drops, and not balancing it out with info about the growth of Bitcoin over the years or how many times such drops happened before and were followed by successful recoveries.

More bad than good nowadays,,, but yes, it seems you have to curate your own reading lists at all these sites if you want a good platform for good reading material.

Personally I think the good writers left Medium and went to Substack,,, most of them have a paid service you can subscribe to but following the free content is good enough.

Much much better than Forbes.

Anyone can have a platform where "anyone can write what they believe, and their audience can react to that". That really means nothing. Even the mass media can write whatever they want and we would believe and react to that. Why? Because the writers write whatever they want anyway. As long as they get readers and viewers, thats all they really care about.

Its important to look at the sources. If there are no sources, there is no need to keep reading. Thats the philosophy that I go by.

BTC is forming Hanging Man Candlestick on Daily Timeframe

I wanted to tell you before but I couldn't really care at that time.

Anyway,

Don't look into sole candlestick patterns too much, especially when they haven't formed yet. Look at the last 3 fully formed and finished candlesticks. Thats what will give you the clue on the next candlestick.

But also other indicators can come in handy, like RSI. Don't just look, but draw trend lines and watch for repeating patterns, not just historically accepted patterns.

Your resistances and supports should come from your self drawn trend triangles and fibonacci retracements.

Everyone is looking at the same chart. Everyone thinks they can be the first to get into a trade when the candlestick changes. No, the trading bots (Very professional, non retail ones) get in first. Always. Don't waste your time chasing candlestick signals.

Trade by top/bottom probability, not by being the first to see a "signal"
3157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Biggest Scam Coins In Crypto History on: February 16, 2022, 04:18:04 PM
There are so many unsupervised fake projects out there that at this point, we could make a betting game out of which project will be the next scam project. Personally, for me, I think that Bitconnect is the most disgusting scam that has happened to date. Not only because it was a scam but it because it was something that greatly damaged Bitcoin's reputation. Had that scam not happened, we might already be at 100k.

We really need to find out a better way to weed out scams rather than hope for government regulations which do nothing but restrict real projects.
3158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thief on Bitfinex exchange caught? on: February 16, 2022, 12:18:45 PM
You know, this whole thing seems a bit suspicious to me. First of all, those are not the hackers aka the thieves but rather the people who were supposed to launder the money somehow. Looking at the personalities and actions of those individuals, it is obvious that they are idiots. Low IQ mouth breathers who do not have the ability or knowledge on how to safely launder money without being detected. In fact, the girl is such a loudmouth clout-chaser, I am amazed they weren't caught sooner.

No, I suspect the real individuals behind this might have gotten cold feet or something went wrong and they needed a couple of useful idiots to take the fall in their stead. I think thats the most plausible explaination.

Rather than solely being a better way of increasing the usage of bitcoin in betting firms and online casinos using cryptocurrency, I think its an overall win for Bitcoin adoption as a whole. Its really up to the so called influencers to spread the marketing for adoption.

Wagering $1.3 million Dollars in the super bowl using bitcoin might be a very good thing for American adoption only though, seeing as other countries don't really know nor care for the superbowl. I have yet to hear a single European being exciting for any superbowl.

I noticed that there are exactly two kinds of people in crypto right now:

1.
Cryptocurrency is the future. I can't wait for my Bitcoin to gain higher value as more people adopt it.

2.
