A number of sports stars were also interested in Crypto lately, such as Tennis Star Naomi Osaka openly interested in Dogecoin. The famous soccer player, Lionel Messi also received a part of his salary in the form of Crypto, namely the PSG Fansclub token. Previously, the NFL star Russel Okung also chose to receive half his salary at Bitcoin.
What do you think ?
There are a lot of sport personalities into crypto as of late, maybe because of the hype. I still remember Bucks Giannis, when someone ask him where he get his money, he said, "Bitcoin". I think it's good though, nothing wrong with them getting their salary on crypto or investing some part of their money on it. For sure they have realised that crypto is the best investment, although there are big risk, but it's a win-win situation for them. Maybe in the next 5 years we will see majority of athletes asking their salary to be paid in crypto.

El Salvador's action to make Bitcoin legal tender can survive as long as the government keeps the country safe from the high volatility of Bitcoin. They should already be aware of the thing that people would be in a great loss when the times that Bitcoin price dumps a lot. Bitcoin is one of their main currencies from now on in the end and they should be extra careful from now on. There are already many people who are opposing Bitcoin in the country.
How can the government keeps the country from high volatility of bitcoin? No one can control the price movement, not even El Salvador. They can only protect it if they have other investments or reserves such as gold and oil and not totally dependent on bitcoin alone. At least they have plan B in case we see the market going into a long bearish trend just like what we witnessed last time. The bear market took 3 years before we can finally see a good recovery and eventually bull run.

Caleb has to be angry so we will see a good fight, this is the last fight of Canelo this year so hopefully, he can finally find a matchup that would give him a real challenge, not the last two fights he beat this year. He suffered a little cut, that's not a big deal for Caleb, but at least he experienced how strong Canelo is.
That's a dangerous emotion to have, it can help you fuel your desire to win the fight or it can cloud your judgement that you're not able to think straight since you're so full of rage that you're only strategy is to use as much force that equals your rage. Canelo is a good fighter though, hopefully we get to see him deliver a good show. Yeah, no need to be angry or what, just focus on your goal to win the fight against one of the best we have right now in Canelo. Caleb needs to concentrate and developed a perfect plan on how to defeat Canelo otherwise he will be the next victim and going to be knock out. Although Caleb has a good chin, he was never touch in his previous fight with a power of Canelo. Not sure what the odds are for a Canelo knock out, but if it good and attractive, I might go with it.

A bit offtopic on the thread but just want to say here that Pacquiao confirms of retiring in boxing world as he ready himself on the PH coming election. His message from his facebook page. Now who will be the next legend on PH boxers? Maybe we can expect from MP promotions same like casimero That's really funny, I mean he did declare that he will be retiring back when he was defeated by Marquez but that didn't happen and here we are again. I don't get this fool, why take back the word in retirement, even though he was defeated at that time, he's still have a big legacy left behind. You can't compare the lost of his to Marquez and then declaring that he is retiring. This time, the main reason is that he is running for the Presidency of his country. So if ever he wins, then it will be a big responsibility and I don't that he can run a country and being a boxer as well. Nevertheless we will have to see, if he lost, he is still a Senator if I'm not mistaken. So whoever will be the next Manny Pacquiao from the Philippines, it will be very difficult what he has accomplished.

The thing with Monfils is that he is inconsistent in the last 2-3 years if I'm not mistaken. But during his prime years he was really that good and gave us a good tennis, even with the big 3, Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.
In the finals, it was the top seed that won the tournament, Hurkacz, in the first set it was really very close and I thought that Carreno Busta would have a chance. In the second set, Hurkacz has an early big and that is enough for a 2 set straight win, 7-6, 6-3, and it's under 22.5.
Monfils is a talent but he has never delivered what you would have expected of him. He never won a grandslam or even came close it. He had the bad luck that the big 3 was/is active in the same timeperiod. I still like to watch him as he can still deliver some crazy shots . Yeah, that's what I'm saying, against the big 3 and then showing us super and crazy shots, Lol. Those are my memories watching Monfils when he was in his prime. He can give anyone a good and hard match even the big 3. However, he played in an era wherein Federer, Nadal and Djokovic was so dominant.
Haven't check tennis matches yet, anyone betting on any tournament? Need to scratch this itch,

In a head-to-head, Monfils has won 3 times whereas Carreno Busta has won 2 times. I think even this time Monfils will win. Monfils has been on the scene since 2004 compared to Busta starting his career in 2009. So Monfils definitely has the experience needed and though he is aged than Busta, but I feel like he will win. And Murray has left his prime time way before and now maybe he's just playing for fun. I would have liked it if he had won some more tournaments but his time is nearing very fast.
I'm sorry mate, but it seems that you are off with your prediction, in the US Open you said that Djokovic will win against Medvedev, when everyone of us thinking that Medvedev will have a fighting chance. And again, Carreno Busta prevails over Monfils in straight sets. And as I have predicted, it will be Hurkacz vs Carreno Busta in the finals in this tournament. The odds are very close though, hard to see who will win, but it's better to go for a handicap here, maybe a over will be a good one as this might goes to three sets. Yes my prediction about the Djokovic vs Medvedev was a bit off and I predicted for Djokovic as he was in insane form throughout the year and no one can deny that, but also Medvedev played very well to counter Djokovic. And on hard court, Monfils has far better stats compared to Busta. Monfils so far won 300 and lost 148 on hard court and Carreno Busta won 97 and lost 87 as per foretennis.com which means Monfils has a better winning percentage than Busta. If I understand it correctly, the vaccine would only increase your immune system fighting the virus, and these players are fit enough that they can still be healthy even if they got infected. When you are vaccinated, you will still be infected, so I understand their position, but if the rules will be that strict, I don't know how they would end this to serve those who prefer not to get vaccinated.
Local rule, not NBA rule. NBA is following a local rule. Wiggins and Irving won't be able to play at their home games because of that rule. But on other matches, they can play as other states allowed it. Just unfortunate that teams where Wiggins and Irving is playing mandates vaccine for sports-related activities. I don't know if these 2 will comply. If they don't they will miss half of their team scheduled games. True, 90% of NBA players are vaccinated as what other media states, and the rest, Wiggins and Irving are being highlighted right now. So if they don't take the vaccinate, they will surely missed half of the game. They can be tested every game and have to check with NBA regarding this close contact. I think for now that will be the solution for this two, however, it will definitely cost them money. So regardless what is their reasons for not taking the vaccine, the decision lies on them. Money lost vs their religious belief or any other reasons.

In any case, we should be ready specially in 2022, if we made profits in 2021 we can take it and then re-evaluate our investment strategy come 2022. There's nothing wrong to have a exit strategy as others have been preaching.
You have any idea or prove to say bitcoin will drop at next year? To my reason nothing is certain about that yet. Bitcoin is taking a new turn since covid-19 chased more people out of work and inside the internet People have started more investment with that opportunity that looks like opening of eyes and traders getting increased daily. I think price dropping won't be as serious like we speculate for it to go way down. This isn't advise but I'm thinking things may come differently next year against the general thought of fall. I did not specially say it will drop next year, what I'm trying to emphasize is that we should be ready by 2022. There's nothing wrong to be paranoid specially if this market wherein it's very unstable and volatile. It's not that people started to work inside the internet, is that bitcoin narrative has progress. So why not be ready for any surprises? Nothing is wrong with that attitude, be prepared for the worst and then adjust on your end. Maybe taking some profits here and there is not that bad.

Anthony Joshua let alot of his supporters down including me on the night with the way he boxed. He did not show so much vigor and determination to floor his man. Usyk was the better boxer and the win was well deserved for him. It would have been worse if Joshua had gone on straight to fight Tyson Fury. It would have ended in TKO within round 5 with alot of injuries for Joshua.
Yeah, it was in his hometown and a lot of fans went there to see a Joshua win, not just a win, but a big one like knock out or something. However, he just look so average in that fight, you might look at it as Usyk is the champion because he is the one dictating the tempo of the fight. Joshua didn't adjust, or maybe his corner didn't get him instructions after the first couple of rounds. And with the version of Joshua who just stood around fights the version of Fury who knock out Wilder in the second fight? yeah probably in 5 rounds he will be in the canvass.

Bad news for Andrew Wiggins but good news for the Warriors and its fans. NBA denies Andrew Wiggins' request for religious exemption from vaccinationThe NBA has denied Andrew Wiggins’ request for a vaccination exemption, leaving the Golden State Warriors swingman ineligible to play home games until he meets San Francisco’s vaccination requirement. So what would happen now, will he commit a sin to play with the team, or he will give up the team for his faith? A very tough question, is he going to give up a million dollar deal for the sake of his religious practices? I don't think that he can refuse this rule as he might bring everyone at risk, he can no longer be accepted to play in any game without taking the shot, he needs to comply in order to continue playing and enjoying the benefits being given to him by GSW. Actually, this is a dumb decision from Wiggins. I didn't hear what he stated about not getting vaccinated but why would he not want to take the vaccine? Religion never prevents medical treatment. Does he not know about the coronavirus & lockdown situation? Also, he won't be able to play unless he gets vaccinated. This would badly impact the Warriors season and I hope his teammate and family will be able to convince him to take the vaccine. All I want to say is a pretty dumb decision from him. I'm pretty sure that he knows about the virus and the lockdown situation and the bubble last year. But he is playing the religion card here, so what can we do? If he chooses to ignore the NBA then this will be another situation and drama prior to the start of the season. So I would say that this is really a stupid move from Wiggins, this virus knows no boundaries and worst he can be infected and he can be a carrier in the NBA wherein they are trying to clear and be back to "normal".

Oh well, that's crypto's life cycle, it usually happens in a 4 year cycle, but who knows, maybe the cycle will change as bitcoin's narrative also evolved, so we might see 2 huge cycle that ends in 2020 and then another cycle 2021-???.
In any case, we should be ready specially in 2022, if we made profits in 2021 we can take it and then re-evaluate our investment strategy come 2022. There's nothing wrong to have a exit strategy as others have been preaching.

You're predictions going true, but I did not place a bet on the semifinal match yesterday because I bet on another tournament. True, 3 sets is very possible and this time I placed 2 bets on over and ML for Hurkacz hope it goes well. I check the odds for ML, it is close, both getting a @1.89 odds, so it means still 50/50. So I agree that the better bet should be the over as this might extend to a full 3 sets because they are the top seeds in the tournament. But the over is @1.94 and under @1.81, just so confusing as the punters might think this will just go in 2 sets with that odds on the under. I will go with Busta to win, I have a feeling that he will go and upset Hurkacz.

Following the announcement of the Chinese government to ban Bitcoin; Huobi.com has issued the most tragic announcement to clear all Chinese users. Will Binance and OKcoin issue the same notification next? So will it be followed by the cruelest process of suppressing the price of Bitcoin?
Will this be like the end for Chinese cryptocurrency traders? Guess not. I believe that there are other exchanges that you don't need KYCs for to start trading and I do some worth understand that along with these changes, traders can also use VPN. Anyways, I feel for them because their government is trying to cut them off crypto but if it will bring calmness to the crypto space, I guess that's what it is. Could be, by there is a huge risk involved by using VPN or something to circumvent that ban. I guess it's better for Chinese traders to get out of country if they can and then move to a country wherein crypto trading is not being ban. The price has been affected already, we are are in the $41k'ish, however, no need to worry about this news, when everything settles down, we will bounce back from this news. Just sad that one of the biggest market is being controlled by their government.

@Russlenat - right, the blue print has been laid out by Manny Pacquiao. So Filipino boxers can follow it to the tee. On the other hand, I believed that Pacquiao is destined to be one of the greatest that came from the Philippines after the Flash Elorde.
So it's dedication and a little of timing and of course the God given talent to really propel the next generation of boxers like Jonas Sultan to follow in the footsteps of Manny Pacquiao.

~ Caleb says it was just a scratch but the pictures don't really look like a scratch. It's the cause of the sunglass he wore that time seems to have crammed down that resulted in that mark, you can't stage that kind of bruise.
They don't even have to insult each other its bound to happen. Every time two dominant males in one stage will cause a commotion, that is why there has to be someone in between when there is faceoff, it happens all the time in MMA. During that time, they were just them, who organized that faceoff? The organizers are Showtime and Dana White had his comments regarding the face off and the scuffle. During face-off the fighters will exchange words and when Caleb Plant talks about the mother of Canelo Alvarez, he should expect a punch is coming and he was dumb enough to stay there even after hurling words and that is the reason he was having a bruise to remember so that the next time he is opening is mouth to talk about family he will be having bruises . Maybe he wants to feel the power of Canelo so he can adjust in the training. That was a good show, everyone is talking about it and their fight is even more hype now, I don't know if it's scripted but if it is, then I would say that they did a great job and they should be rated with 10/10 on their acting skills, especially for Canelo. I didn't see this are acting job for both parties, if this is the case then Caleb goes the short end of the deal with that scratch mark in his face due to Canelo's slapping (yes I consider it slapping because it is not a close fist). In any case there's no stopping the hype now, boxing fans wanted to see the real action in the ring. There will be the weigh-in so for sure a lot of fans are going to flock and see what will happen next.

I just came across this news and was very surprised: ''Emma Raducanu: British number one splits with coach after US Open win''Okay, I understand that she thinks she needs a little more experienced coach but it seems to me that she could have shown a little more respect and gratitude to the current coach, who obviously helped her a lot to achieve the greatest success in life. In fact, it is not unusual for tennis players to have more coaches and a bigger team behind them, which helps them. One of my favorite tennis players, Murray, has lost a tennis match again and he is further and further away from the expected return to the top of world tennis. This is his statement after the match: "I'm not that interested in playing well and losing. I want to be winning these matches. But the consistency this week was better than it was over in the States," Murray said. "My goal's not to get in the top 100. I would want to get back in the top 10, [that] would be more something that would motivate me in terms of a goal. Winning tournaments and getting up towards the top of the rankings is motivating to me.Do you think these plans are realistic? Sources: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/58682151https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/58682569]https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/58682569]]]https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/58682569 Osaka came into my mind, after winning her first Australian Open, she suddenly switch coach Bajin, and then hired Jenkins, and then replace her as well with her father. Now look at where Osaka is, she lost the number 1 spot and it seems that she has a yoyo performance since then Not saying that it could happen to Raducanu, but switching coach might have a drastic effect on your performance. As the saying goes "don't fix it if ain't broken".

It's the monthly end of bitcoin future contracts expiration, and usually bitcoin does dump during this time. However, I'm not seeing a huge pump on Ethereum, on the contrary, they've lost the $3k price range. While bitcoin remains on the safe side around $42k-443k.
So it means that smart investors are still buying bitcoin at this price. And for those who have dump bitcoin and move to Ethereum, it will be temporary, they know that bitcoin will go up in the next 3 months. So again if they are smart investors-> buy BTC, simply as that. Forget about Dimon, and usually when he opens his mouth and spew negative things against bitcoin, JP Morgan do the opposite (buy the dip.)
|
|
|
Thankfully though, the price was not affected by the recents news or FUD coming from the Chinese. If this is 2017, we might see the price going below $40k and the dip are going to continue in the following days. So investors may have seen this news as nothing news, except maybe for newbies.
And so be it, if they want to continue to ban it then we can't stop their government. It's now up to the Chinese investors or whether to stay in the market or move somewhere else wherein crypto is openly accepted by their government.

It's really hard to give financial advises here, always do your own research (DYOR).
But I would say that there are some good cheap coins, but it's like finding a needle in the haystack. Very difficult in the beginning because they can be used by pump and dump groups and you think you find a diamond. However, after the dump, the price will go down and it might take time for the project to recover. With that said, really up to you, maybe Zero coin will be big, or maybe not.
And in any case that you are shilling for this coin, for sure members here are going to find out and it might back fire on you or the project (if you are part of the team).

If you have a weak chin and you are too aggressive, Casimero can knock you out just like he did with Tete and Duke Mikah, Butler although a former champion, I don't think he'll have a chance against Casimero. Casimero wants to have a fight with Inoue or Donaire and he'll stop a guy who will cross his path leading to those encounters, Butler will just become a tune fight and preparation against Inoue or Donaire.
Tete though was very cautious, he was a technical fighter, but once Casimero landed that big right now, it was over for him. And with the Duke Mikah fight, it was a banger, love that fight, Mikah was not afraid to go toe to toe, but then again Casimero is really one of the biggest puncher in this division. Obviously, the Rigo fight was a disappointment because of the clash of style. But with Butler who seems not afraid of Casimero's power, I'm seeing as well a good fight and a most probably we will see Casimero with a knock out win.
