To explain my vouch, you do business quietly and respectfully whereas I've seen haploid undermine good users in pending deals in threads and try to say "don't trust him" etc and then makes his own offer saying he's a trusted hero member, blah blah blah...rather support the quiet and trustworthy. Again no business interest related as cryptology said, good luck to all here.
So why don't you quote and link exactly where I tried to cock block a perfectly legit ongoing trade? I might be unaware where this happened, in which case I'll apologize. My post was not directly targeted at Cryptology. You don't think a new account will "quietly and respectfully" PM the OP to try a quick scam with paypal? You know by now that when a new accounts makes an offer with paypal in public, he'll get called out instantly. But much higher chance of a successful scam if it was done in PM. I stand by what I said.

whirlpoolian, you're probably going to get a lot of PMs from scammers just because the naive nature of your post. Just be careful with who you deal with and don't accept any offers from new accounts.
With that said, if you haven't already accepted any offers, I'd be willing to exchange your BTC for paypal funds at preev's rate.

SaltySpitoon, if our deal doesn't work out, do NOT accept moneypaks from new accounts. Of all the reload cards (Vanilla, Moneypak, Reloadit, Netspend, etc), Moneypaks have the highest rate of scamming and reversal. These are reversed either by the person who bought the MP, or by Greendot themselves (company that makes the moneypaks).
3 weeks ago I lost $500 from a MP that was purchased with cash. Greendot initiated the reversal themselves, solely based on what they deemed suspicious.

The only thing anyone can be certain about is that his coins never moved thus far. Outside of that, everything else is speculation.

I'd really like to see a mod commenting on this, because I highly doubt that a user posting an article on a public forum is considered as copyright theft. Can we actually get banned here for quoting an article?
The real reason why dank was banned was because these articles he posted was not entertaining enough. At least all his other threads had high entertainment value. Isn't that obvious? Outside of entertainment, dank is pretty worthless.

Why does Satoshi remain anonymous?
He'll be a dead famous guy pretty quickly if it's out in the open. You cannot personally praise, nor target someone that doesn't have a identity.

Jesus Christ ....the forum got full of scammers.
Welcome to 4 years ago.

I'm looking to trade some Vanilla Reload or Reloadit cards for BTC at market rate. Cards I currently have available now for trade:
- $100 Vanilla - $200 Vanilla - $400 Reloadit - $500 Vanilla
If you need some other amount, I'll need time to go pick one up.

I have a $350 MP to trade for BTC, for 5% in your favor based on bitstamp rate. Localbitcoin is down right now, so I have to trade it on here.
PM me or post here.
edit: nevermind

You realize that only works if someone has PHYSICAL access to the device with the cold storage? With physical access, it's easier for a thief to steal the wallet file, regardless if it had internet or not.
Cracking the password to the wallet is another story.

And I have a feeling it will be like this at least for the next couple of months. Although, I've been involved in BTC for several years now, so I'm over the price thing. If you look at the bigger picture and realize what BTC can bring to the table, price is hardly part of the equation.
Unless of course you're in it only for the speculative aspect, purely for the profit like majority of the people are.

OP who do you want to stalk? I bet it's BiPolarBob. He has a bunch of "fans" (aka moochers) that follow him to get free stuff.

I trust Pirateat40 and Mark Karpeles. I'd send BTC to them all day, every day. On a more serious note, trust is relative. Someone trustworthy to you may not be trustworthy to others. There's huge variance as well since there are just so many members on here, and no one has extensively dealt with everyone. tomatocage, haploid, dannyhamilton, loureed.
I'm surprised to see my name mentioned

You should get use to it. LBC is constantly on and off quite frequently, and when it is working, sometimes there are other problems (like delays in notification, online status, hold on deposits/withdraws, etc)

All the lowly accounts in here that say they will never sell it, that's just bullshit. I'm willing to bet that if those guys get offered a small amount of cash or BTC, it'll get sold pretty quickly. As for my account, it'll actually never be sold, not because how long it took to build it up, but because that's just scummy activity. I believe this forum is the only one that openly allows this kind of stuff.

Thanks for your support. I am composing a message to submit to a newspaper in the hope that something will get done about this.
I don't want to try to sound like I'm discouraging you or anything, but this stuff happens all the time. World-wide, banks suspend or close accounts for suspicious activity or simply too many cash deposits. I'm pretty sure your story won't make it anywhere near breaking-news headlines. You can still go ahead and try to make a news story out of it, but just don't be too disappointed of nothing comes out of it.

...However, I am not acting fraudulently or otherwise illegally in any way.
It is about time that the banks were forced to accept a perfectly legal activity and stop persecuting those who trade bitcoin for "fun and profit".
It doesn't matter if it's legal or not. If banks don't like the type of activity they see on your account, they can choose not to do business with you and close the account. There's no law that says they're forced to do business with you. Take for example, banks generally will not open a small business account for people that have business central to check-cashing, alcohol, cash-for-gold, or other money service business, even though non of these things are illegal. So it's not a matter of what's legal or not, it's their choice.

cash deposit?
how would they know it was bitcoin related and not a family gift or simply depositing £100 from junk change you had laying around your house?
Even if you have a single cash deposit, if the guy that makes the deposit tries to reverse or report it, that's enough to lock up your account for investigation. Banks would know it's not friend or family because these group of people wouldn't report their own transaction as fraudulent.

I'll buy your BTC at current market rate. I already have a $80 or $120 Vanilla ready to trade. This is also open to anyone else too.
You need to send first, or we can escrow (although escrow won't matter much for Vanilla reloads).
edit: nevermind, xster just bought the remaining codes I have.

Don't confuse it with a risky loan, this isn't risky.
This is where your logic failed. Perhaps you can explain why this is a risk-free loan and how the lender will be GUARANTEED a repayment? ROI in 2 weeks huh? One more reason not to believe you. List all the mining equipment your friend has that makes ROI in 2 weeks.
