321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cut losses and re invest? on: April 24, 2018, 01:13:55 PM
Why cut losses and re-invest? I don't recommend doing that, but that's your investment,

Sometimes you have to short, sometimes a project change for the worse or it's financially needed
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Class - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin Cash on: April 24, 2018, 12:27:08 PM
I see binance in the exchanges section, do you have a deal with binance?
If I remember correctly, mentioning binance to promote your coin will get your coin banned from ever getting on binance.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prediction bitcoin in the future on: April 23, 2018, 01:40:02 PM
I think bitcoin will cost more than$ 50,000 in 10 years. Also, it will no longer be the first cryptocurrency for capitalization. Ethereum will take its place because Ethereum has a working economic model. It's not just" digital gold " like bitcoin.

We can't predict anything. No one knows what will happen for the next years.  We can expect anything but we can't predict because the world is unpredictable. We can't predict anything just basing on things we see right now.  Anytime it can change.

That's why he said "I think". Thanks for explaining how we can't predict the future.

326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The existence of bitcoin is still lacking on: April 21, 2018, 03:03:27 PM
So this poll was taken by 10 people in total? Yeah those results aren't anything to go by.
Certain countries have a crypto currency adoption rate of 30% and higher amongst the youth.
327  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell ethereum or hold ? on: April 20, 2018, 05:12:19 PM
My gut feeling says holding on to ethereum for a few months longer is the better choice to make.
328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fall of crypto is near on: April 20, 2018, 05:10:27 PM
A month later and the OP has already been proven wrong..well the year is not over yet so who knows, but I predict the opposite Wink
329  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: April 20, 2018, 04:50:26 PM
Looks like everybody hopes to get rich because of btc (obviously) but I hope there will also be enough people left who actually support the decentralized technology and not only want to take profit.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking crypto-wallets on: April 19, 2018, 02:09:55 AM
im not believing for Ian Balina claim that he got hacked. I think of it as an exit strategy to bypass his TAX responsibility for Crypto on which is due in USA.
Same thing on what's on my mind, how can a big investor would let his private keys stored on cloud? Since when he started to become a crypto investor? for sure he do know that you shouldn't do that kind of ignorance. Storing your keys/seed on the web will definitely lose you.

Some say it is a little too hard to believe he would store his keys there, also coincidentally happened with tax day coming as well.
Waiting for some more news on this.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not compare Bitcoin with money? on: April 19, 2018, 01:59:30 AM
One has an unlimited supply, is centralized and controlled by the government and the other is decentralized with a limited supply (arguably for some though Tongue)
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Citizens of Japan are going all-in on Cryptocurrency on: April 19, 2018, 01:35:33 AM
If only more countries could be like Japan  Roll Eyes
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The internet is just a fad! This remind you of anything? on: April 17, 2018, 08:39:57 PM
Very similar to posts we see about blockchain today.  I think we all know how this well end.

A movie executive in the 40s said that people would get tired of staring at a plywood box every night (television). People are generally pretty bad at seeing into the future. Those of us who can should use this to our advantage.

Fortunately for all of us here, we are on the right path already Wink
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC rally started to 17k? on: April 17, 2018, 08:37:53 PM
Ive heard this point of view. I've also listened to allot of clever analyst who think it will go lower before it rises. My buy in point would be around 7000 dollars I think

Looking at the 20k to 6-7-8k drop we can conclude it already has been at that low point.
335  Other / Archival / Re: Do you believe Crypto Currency is changing the world? on: April 17, 2018, 08:36:02 PM
It definitely is, look at how many young people prefer investing in crypto over traditional investing methods already.

On chain transactions can't be compared to centralized off chain transactions.
LN will be a toy, that's about it.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need an opinion on rejecting a job offer or crypto on: April 13, 2018, 11:36:13 PM
If you can deal with it financially and if it's something that makes you happy (happier than at a job). Then you should go for it.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Companies Could Choose Btg Or Bch Or Bcd For Payment Instead Of Btc? on: April 13, 2018, 11:32:20 PM
The essence of bitcoin as a payment method is starting to change. As OP said, people wants to keep it and store it for better profit and use it as store value.

There's a big company in China that started to use BCH for the payment of their product and started to stop accepting bitcoin. The closest candidate will be ETH and not BTG, BCH,BCD or any fork coin.

But we can't remove the fact that bitcoin is still the best for payment.

Ethereum doesn't scale good, so no it's not the closest candidate at all.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: April 13, 2018, 11:26:43 PM
I believe that they will be doing airdrop through cryptopia.
How can airdrop will be implemented through Cryptopia?
I think it will be easier to make for bitcointalk members or holders Sirius.

Airdropping some through an exchange can bring in some new users, but I think dropping to holders would gain a lot more investors.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 22 European Nations Form New Blockchain Partnership on: April 13, 2018, 11:21:08 PM
Good news came today from Europe:

The countries, including the U.K., France, Germany, Norway, Spain and the Netherlands, signed a declaration on Tuesday establishing the new group, dubbed the European Blockchain Partnership, according to a release from the European Commission, which led the effort.

22 European Nations Form New Blockchain Partnership

This will be a good news to them but not to us. The European Union is planning to create their own digital currency using blockchain technology that will be used in government services as well in their economy. They are planning to use such currency as a medium of exchange for buying goods within their territory. Such digital assets I guess will not be placed on the market but it is the 22 countries who will agree on the value of the coin so they can practically use it like the fiat currency but now only in digital form.

Centralized can't compete with decentralized, it's the whole attraction of bitcoin.
