I've participated in the premier league pools and similar and never won, so I'm very glad to be here where there's a fair chance for everyone to pocket some BTC, sort of works like a piggy bank too where the $ value only increases  Cheesy

You shouldn't be here, I would say I've won quite a bit of every League Pool at some point and your generous donation has never gone unnoticed but however you always manage to scoop some Yellow cap victories often in a very very unique way, because in those specific weeks nobody comes close Cheesy

This probably the first time ever that I would send my answers and never looked back on them nor even do any follow before the deadline, I didn't trust Djokovic from the get, I didn't anyone at but my bias for Alcaraz is a flaw glad he's still there though, feels a he stands a chance bar the probable Jannik barrier  Cheesy

Arsenal feels like I let down for to be honest, I was stuck between them scoring from first half or going overtime/penalties, I felt If Arsenal should get a goal in first half which they eventually, there should be nothing stopping them from winning with -1.5 handicap, apparently I was wrong, glad my rival never got the point for that either.

Snip...

The questions for Round 2 are here!

The deadline is the usual one, Tuesday March 12th, 18:00 GMT.

Hey there bosses,

I don't know if the maximum amount of characters per post would allow for a suggestion of mine to work out fine, but I would suggest that since Trofo does post the complete results of the fixtures for the concluded round just below what the new league standings looks like, it rather would be cool in my opinion to include the next round of fixtures schedule as well, alternatively it could be be more appropriate that cryptofrka does it in his own post, Just right below the link to the new round question form and deadline announcement.

I just jinxed it, Liverpool with a penalty!  Angry

Well there is a saying though, Liverpool doesnt lose in Anfield hence draw is the most likely outcome according to me. Well yeah it was a lucky penalty that save my ass in this round and I kinda had a doubt on Mcallisted taking the penalty. Anyway was Salah unfit to play or what? I kinda didnt expect him to start on 60th minutes especially on a high tension game against City.

It is Done!

Thanks to Falcons, they ousted BetBoom completely, 3-0 in a BO5 finals, I don't think BetBoom does go out like that often, but the Falcons never gave them any form of breathing space or chance to try any kind of come back attempt.

I have caught up with buwaytress by coming from behind. The e-sports question will determine the winner of this week. Even though both of us predicted the teams reaching the finale correctly I chose Falcons as the winner team of the tournament. As for buwaytress he chose BetBoom. Even though Falcons were 2-0 ahead in the final match BetBoom's having a potential to make a comeback scares me.

This is yours. How BB are going to win 3/3 I have no idea. It could have been so different if Liverpool scored just one of their 6 shots on target (though to be fair, City also had 6).

Lamentations, but you and Arsenal are the biggest winners of tonight. Congratulations on finally beating me before the end-season slip.

I have seen BetBoom come back in several tournaments and matches but, today isn't going to be one of those days... Let me say I strongly hope, but then because the Falcons doesn't seem like a team that will give up 3 consecutive maps with their current form.

I really need Falcons win here to secure full 3 points, as Man City have failed to win, I'm even more glad that Liverpool didn't win the game because all I'd have been chasing now would be a draw.

If the second round or second chance pool is actually making use of the FPL draft instead of the generic one, maybe I sure would have considered joining in on that, or if there is someone actually interested in setting up one, I'm in for it too.

Man City with the lead at halftime, Falcons have successfully secured the first map, I guess it can't get any better than this for me right now, perhaps one more goal from City after the break to solidify their stance, and 2nd map victory for would be great too.

EDIT:

I just jinxed it, Liverpool with a penalty!  Angry

Igebotz's Manager sacked...10 managers in 4 seasons.   Cheesy

Knowing you're Chelsea fan, it doesn't come as a surprise to sack your coach after just one game into the season, good luck!

-------------------------

Thanks to the Falcons for completing their comeback their to drop BetBoom to lower bracket finals, Now with just a place 4th place finish for BetBoom or the grand final win for Falcons would have needing a win or draw for Man City against Liverpool would ensure I start the new season with a W, and I don't think that's too much to wish for.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 09, 2024, 07:53:13 PM
That's about the fastest boxing match I've streamed live in my entire life, Ngannou's was rendered completely clueless and wasn't even given any chance to be considered as a worthy opponent, Anthony Joshua really made him look like someone that have never been in any kind fighting sport nor mixed martial arts to so honest, he was so defenseless.
One of the fastest losses in boxing history. Ngannou thought boxing was all about talking too much and seeing oneself as the winner. He was unaware that the fight with Anthony Joshua would not be the same as his encounter with Tyson Fury, or that it would end so quickly.

Anthony Joshua had trained hard for the bout because he wanted to advance in his boxing career with a victory and he didn't want to let his guard down after losing to Usky twice.
AJ is very desperate to become a champion again that's why he will do everything to be at that stage again. That win will hype his name again and promoters will not be having a hard time to promote his fight. I think they are just waiting for the result of Usyk vs Fury, and hopefully Fury will win so they could market the fight better, AJ vs Fury, it has not happened before, unlike AJ vs Usyk where the latter had already beat AJ twice.

Yes, I couldn't agree more with you AJ seemed to have been heavily distracted in the past few years, I don't want to consider a win over a very below average boxer like Ngannou to have an assertion of whether or not Anthony Joshua is back to his best days.

I think Ngannou will seek a rematch from AJ in the future because he never thought he would be knocked out so quickly and without much pressure.

No need, he showed nothing but hype. it's very clear that he is not ready for a big fight like that, AJ trained hard unlike Fury when he faced Ngannou.. And I also don't know if people are still hyped with Ngannou as the hype is necessary for promoters to give this a go.

Ngannou should just quit the idea of being boxer, he does have the mindset of one, his defense yesterday made very obvious that he still thinks and fight like an UFC or Mixed Martial Arts fighter, he wouldn't even stand the test of time against a professional middle weight boxer, with such a defense he displayed yesterday. Joshua just threw effective punches through his face at will and with relative ease.

Good that I kept the transfer - I would have spent it on another Bournemouth player.
Will be a bit easier now to navigate through GW29.

I had Sensei before the game week but got injured in the last match so I needed to make the change, I settled for a Luton defender, because Bournemouth are going blank Gw 29, and Luton gets to play against Nottingham Forest, which seem like a reasonable fixture to me to have me some Luton players.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If I bet big I lose, but if I bet small I win on: March 09, 2024, 06:33:05 PM
Betting large amounts is always risky but these large amounts are different amounts for different categories of people. For example, placing a single bet of $10 for a poor person is very difficult and a big risk because he is not financially sound.  But a $50 single bet for a rich person would also be a normal bet. So one should always bet as much as one can afford to lose according to one's financial condition. He will enjoy gambling and will not suffer any major financial damage

That's why it's important not to be greedy in gambling. Bet with money that you can afford to lose. I think the betting amount is relative because people's financial capabilities are different. But make sure to bet a small amount that you think you are prepared to lose. I once bet a large amount and it was very painful when I lost my money. But I can enjoy gambling when I bet small amounts. I can focus on the game instead of worrying about winning and losing.

I really can't speak about casino, but from my experience in sports betting when it comes having a mindset of whenever you bet big you lose and when you bet small you win, it's not because the system is rigged or manipulation the result of the sport but rather a thing with the human mind, when betting big we often tend to tilt towards taken bets with very low risk and higher chances of winning while forgetting that the odds or supposedly less risky bet are safe proof and doesn't guarantee a win, but that sentiment changes when we are betting a low amount we often go with our guts odds based or not, and that's why it could happen that we get a larger winning ratio when we stake low.

Arsenal vs Brentford is currently on in the EPL, but a man's heart lies where his treasure is, So, I'm streaming DOTA 2 Falcons vs BetBoom upper bracket finals instead  Grin, I'd really like to see how good this Falcons team is or if it is just some hype and good run of form. I guess the Upper Bracket finals is one of the best ways to find that out.

EDIT:

Falcons lost first map after being in control and having the edge for most of the time, this is probably where experience comes into play, hopefully they can fight their way back and grab the second  Angry

decision to stay with Pickford on goal, due to feeling we can surprise United in early term backfired as early as possible
Fernandez from penalty spot to get us down

nevertheless, we had our chances so far, and would not be surprised to see taking at least a point today, maybe is just hopium

I was feeling every form of hopelessness for not biting on the Solanke's Apple, because it meant I needed to get rid of Haaland or Watkins which I'd rather not do for someone that was doubt for the game to begin with, and Morris being my 3rd striker it wouldn't make any sense to get rid of him for Solanke since they both have double game week and Morris also doesn't blank for the next game week.

How about Solanke get subbed out now and also miss the midweek game  Grin Cheesy I would be dodging a significant bullet by that.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 09, 2024, 09:01:50 AM
And now I'm sure that Trofo will write some stuff why they probably won't be in the final to crush my dreams Grin
Falcons are by far the best team in this tournament so them winning would be sort of expected. Of course anything can hapen and there are teams like Gaimin Gladiators or Spirit that are known to raise they game as the stakes get higher. So I would say only Spirit can stop them now if they decide this is important enough to play their best game.

Did you before hand know well about the Falcons prior to setting this question or this tournament, because the name doesn't ring a bell as far as I've been following e-Sport, I know you can just get to see a new team name or notice them in a new grand or regional tournaments but I don't remember ever coming across Team Falcons but being unbeaten having won against teams I would have considered big favorites in straight maps is the motive behind me choosing to go with them.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 09, 2024, 01:25:57 AM
This is a big shocker for all of us, Joshua just knocked out Ngannou in one of the nastiest knocks out we've seen in round two, Joshua took only one straight shot on Ngannou's head to flatten Julius, I know that AJ can win the fight but I never thought this could be this easy.

This is the highlight of that one punch knock out
https://twitter.com/bjpenndotcom/status/1766261771969703957

Brutal knockout indeed. So this settles the issue now and move forward and see if we can the "Battle of Great Britain" now that Joshua has won. Time for Tyson Fury to defeat Usyk and face Jushua next.

I'm starting to lose my footing in the duel, and now arallmuus is only one point behind to tie the scoreline.

I need Sheffield Wednesday later to have a miracle performance and force Leeds to a draw or maybe an outright win.  Grin

Oh come on, you are still 1 point ahead and that is huge for now because there are chances that we both might not get any points from question #8 and #9 unlike question #7 which is 50 50. Even as of now, Ipswich is still ahead of Leeds so unless they got a draw or lose their next game then Im screwed for real. Well obviously this is the price I paid for my stupidity on question #4 by answering all YES  Roll Eyes

These really are the kind of game weeks I hate so much when there just way too many common answers between you and your opponents, and you remain nothing but spectating on the sidelines all week long until Sunday where you'd almost be having a high BP due to one or two question differentials. Knowing my fate might lies between Manchester City vs Liverpool match is not making me look too forward to the game as I would have as a neutral just enjoying what's supposed to be an interesting fixture.

--------------

Leeds looks a sealed deal already with their 2 goals advantage and 18 minutes to go, but Ipswich would have to win their own fixture too in order to get back ahead on the league table. However, just like most of the results in so far, it doesn't have any effect on my fixture.

Sainz is replaced by Bearman now, I just got the Superbru notify, apparently surgery for appendicitis so expect him to be out at least one more race after this. Doing you all a nice favour by telling you to replace him if you've made your picks, too early in the season to be nasty, heh heh heh.

Ultimately, I left Bearman in my line, just lower down the positions. No idea about him but Ferrari has a good enough machine, no?

That makes two of us, I literally wouldn't have known if not for the SuperBRU notification, maybe I need find some website with real time information or pay better attention to this thread.

I read it was going to be Bearman's debut, so I couldn't trust him with the same level of trust I had for Carlos Sainz, I had Bearman to finish in lower position than I had initially placed Sainz to finish at.

I'm watching the Qualifying race live right, oh well, I never thought I would be doing this but it seems it going to be an all season long thing for me now.

CLS63 had I known Falcons were all-stars, I'd have picked them to win, but on hindsight, I want an OG to prove themselves. Never mind, I'll consider you win DOTA and we have 3-3. That leaves Ollie and Liverpool to take me home. Books only give City the slight favourites edge but that's too much respect for Liverpool squad in tatters (Konate also got injured last night). If I were a neutral, 22/10 on City? Absolute value.

Thanks for the update, I have totally forgotten to keep tabs on the DOTA question, I think I now have a very good edge over mitchr4, because Shopify Rebelion have been eliminated, while I have both Falcons and BetBoom to reach the finals and Falcons as the winner,  I just need Falcons to at least win the first upper bracket playoffs against BetBoom.
