321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe to trade through a Broker on: August 09, 2018, 05:12:38 PM
Hi community,

A broker contact me online and asked me whether I am interested in trading online. He will manage my account and put his knowledge to make me profit but in return I have to send me 25% of profit that he made.

He suggested me to activate 2FA. and provide him username + password of exchange (for example bitfinex). Due to 2 factor authentication (2FA) he will not be able to withdraw fund he will be able to place buy/sell orders only.

Please share guys what is your opinion, It is same to play like this? or Is there any trick of capturing fund behind this scheme?

Well that's very intriguing as if any person is making money then why would they contact anyone else that they can make the other person also some money only they have to do a few things and that's it. So it is definitely a scam attempt and if i were you then I wouldn't have been fallen for it.
322  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you remember Bitconnect? I lost 3500 dollars in this pyramid! on: August 05, 2018, 08:42:16 PM
Hi, let's remember bitconnect!
This was the most popular cryptocurrency pyramid, in which many lost their money. So, I'm one of them.
I was a fool and I believed that I could make a lot of money. In the end, I lost all my money.
I wonder how many such fools like me? Are there people who have earned on this?

I also lost a few bitcoins here and there in a few ponzi schemes when I was a newbie and thought of quickly multiplying my money but every time the websites turned to be fake and always ran away with my hard earned bitcoins. So I learned a lesson the hard way that there isn't any get rich scheme in this world and you have to work hard to make money.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid getting scammed. on: August 04, 2018, 07:26:40 PM
im a newbie here i really want to get much experience in cryptocurrency and i myself want to learn a lot about it but since im new in this industry everybody warn me to be careful in trading, i really dont know what trading is and how can i get my money stolen from that thing can you guys explain to me?
The most common practice is to use an exchange as they are reliable and also you can use them as your wallet but only drawback is that they can be hacked someday so it's very risky to store your money on any exchange. There are some Newbies who get into someone else's trap and try to break a deal without any escrow as they think the fees isn't reasonable, but the fact is that by using escrow you will be safe as it will be the headache of escrow to make the deal all you have to do is give him your side of the deal and enjoy the rest.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: which exchange you usually trade ? on: August 04, 2018, 07:08:24 PM
HI there ,

what and which exchange you guys usually trade ?
I used to trade on yobit but then there were a lot of times when I went there to trade but the website was offline or there were many liquidity issues. So then I came to know about poloniex and that was the nicest exchange I had ever used as the website was very fast to load and also it could be easily used on my mobile but only one down point was that it was not having enough coins as compared to yobit.
325  Other / Meta / Re: Is this forum bug? on: August 02, 2018, 11:28:27 AM
I'm guessing that this is done intentionally to reduce the load on the forums (Just like the User stats are disabled.)

I'm not sure how you were even able to search by rank/position, when i try this myself it simply returns this,

(Is this feature only available for Legendary+?)

Quote
My question is that isn't there any other way to search for all the members present for a single rank, as I think the number of pages is limited to 34 only.

I know that Vod has a lot of statistics about the forum on his site, https://bpip.org/.

I can't find what you want directly on his site (All Hero members/ Legendaries etc,) but you might be able to PM him, i'm pretty sure he has the kind of data you're looking for if you ask him nicely.
Isn't there any other way to see all the members of specific rank.
I have sent vod a message. Waiting for him to reply.
326  Other / Meta / Is this forum bug? on: August 02, 2018, 09:03:39 AM
I have been making a profile on all the hero and legendary members present on the forum but on a surprise not I came to know that the search function only returns maximum 34 pages possible on all forum ranks as quoted in the screenshot below.

Case #1 Legendary Members

Case #2 Hero Members

Case #3 Sr. Members

Case #4 Full Members

Case #5 Jr. Members

Case #6 Newbies

Case #7 Brand New

So this can't be possible that there would be the same number of members of all ranks.

My question is that isn't there any other way to search for all the members present for a single rank, as I think the number of pages is limited to 34 only.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people treat BTC as ponzi scheme? on: August 01, 2018, 06:41:01 PM
I really wonder to some people who think bitcoin is a ponzi scheme. It has made so many people rich and doing better till now.
But I don't understand the reason behind this type of thought?
There are a lot of people who think that bitcoin is a ponzi and it is a bubble which is fueled by the new investors which are coming late in the cryptocurrency atmosphere. But I don't think that cryptocurrency in general is a ponzi scheme as it has paid some people handsome amount of money and changed most of the people's lives who work for bitcoin or have been holding cryptocurrencies in general.
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy more and HODL!!! on: July 31, 2018, 07:42:10 PM
Over some months now BTC has seen so much decrease in its price and nonetheless its still the greatest coin of all time. I have seen people selling in escrow markets with high amounts of btc and I see them as people who are selling because they fear btc will drop down to the dip. As for me I always say that I will take advantage of this time by buying as much as I can and laugh later. I think this is the right time to for us to buy. What do you think guys? Any contribution is also accepted.
This is absolutely the right time to buy as the market have already started recovering and will recover in the upcoming months so it's better to invest now rather than being sorry in the future for not investing in bitcoin when the time was right and then there would be nothing but to cry on the lost opportunity.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin? on: July 31, 2018, 06:03:54 PM
I mean Why bitcoin? Why waste huge energy in mining. As everyone know bitcoin is useless in terms
of usability.
My question to bitcointalk users :

Is this possible that any altcoin become no 1 on coinmarketcap and bitcoin disappeare

I think this can be possible, what you think so comment below...

I don't think that any other crypto can replace bitcoin in its lifetime as bitcoin is the root of cryptocurrency and all the coin's value is measured in the terms of bitcoin so this sole argument defines how much people have their trust on bitcoin and how it will never be replaced by another crypto.
330  Economy / Speculation / Re: I need more money to invest now! on: July 31, 2018, 05:44:29 PM
I have always stated the fact that people have jobs in their real lifes that they make fiat currency and than they invest that money into bitcoin but what people are forgetting is a whole another option. If you work for bitcoin than you will not need to go buy some bitcoin.
Check out online places and how you can make money, if you just persist enough and give enough effort on stuff than you can make money online by as anything as possible. However people are looking at making money online like something incredible.

Most people get paid better in their regular jobs than working online and earning bitcoins, so they tend to buy bitcoins rather than earning them. But I am opposite I work part time for earning bitcoins then spend those as my pocket money and also run my family on those bitcoins so I am completely dependant on bitcoins.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning day trading on: July 29, 2018, 07:09:04 PM
Recently I asked about day trading tips on this forum and got really nice response. Some one introduced me to Voodoo day trading community where I found perfect atmosphere to learn day trading and technical analysis: https://discord.gg/yBmNzRm  I have spent last whole week in the free channel in the group and learnt some interesting tricks and earned a decent amount of money.

Although free channel has helped me immensely so far but it feels like to reach the next level, I have to join paid channel. I wanted to ask that is it worth to pay for learning day trading or I could found free stuff instead? This forum has been a great help to me in past. I hope I will get some valuable feedback this time too.
I prefer learning from free resources on the internet or paid course that are available for free on some file sharing websites. But if you want to pay money for learning day trading then you should first check the reviews of the course before paying the owner any amount of money. Even some websites offer a free trial of the course so first check out the course before paying.
332  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the bitcoin price rise again? on: July 29, 2018, 06:37:54 PM
a few days ago, news about bitcoin was very good, some say bitcoin will work with credit card for payment, what I ask is, will bitcoin price go up again?
Yes bitcoin price is definitely gonna go up again, all you have to is wait for it to go up again and then do whatever you want either sell your coins or keep on holding them for a better return. But the problem is that nobody knows when the bitcoin price is gonna shoot up so wait can be a little bit frustrating but the wait will pay off well, about that I am pretty sure.
333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 60,000$ by the end of 2018? on: July 29, 2018, 06:08:04 PM
Julien Hosp, the co-founder and president of TenX, believes that the price of Bitcoin will possibly reach 60,000$ by the end of this year.

By being an investor for over a year, I have observed the pricing circle of BTC.

Last year, the price evolution started strongly from 12 August 2017 from ~ 2000$ and reached 20,000$ by the end of the year.

Will the history come back again this year?

My prediction is yes. How's about you?
Well that's quiet intriguing as the price stated above is more than 7x of the current bitcoin price and only 5 months are left before the year's end so I don't think that $60k is a possible outcome of bitcoin price by the end of this year, I believe that bitcoin price will be about $25k to $30k by the end of this year.
334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: July 29, 2018, 05:50:18 PM
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts.
I don't trust new exchanges so most of the times I trade on the older ones but there are few times that some newly launched tokens are listed on different exchanges than the traditional ones then I am forced to use the new exchange for trading my tokens that I don't want to hold for more than a few months.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your ETH until cross 1k on: July 28, 2018, 10:38:56 AM
Every body know that eth growth already start. It's long time eth was rest. Now it's time to run for ETH. I was post long time ago for buy eth. Those is buy they are already in profit. Form now eth is up trends and it will cross 1k very soon. I expect eth will cross 1.5K within 3 month. So I feel you can hold it for little time.

Note: I just share my own idea. Please research yourself before buy or hold. Every trade is risky.
I can hold my ethereum for a long time and the market is also not appropriate for selling my coins so I just have to hold my coins for a little while as there isn't any other option to choose from. And the Etherum price is also at a constant just like the other altcoin prices so I am just a little bit skeptical in holding the coins as the prices are just the same instead they should have rose just like before when ever bitcoin prices rose in the past the altcoins also rose but not the Altcoin market is constant even though the bitcoin market is rising.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why hold ethereum on: July 28, 2018, 10:01:15 AM
If I could pick one crypto that suits for holding, that would be ethereum. Do you agree that this one is good for a holder ?

It's more established than other alts in the market and  companies are adopting it.
Ethereum is good for investing in the projects, other than that I don't think there is any other good use of ethereum and I believe that there would be another coin that would surpass ethereum and be the new altcoin god after ethereum. But the wide adaption of ethereum is making difficult for any coin to be in the lime light and becoming a new winner.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you do if the altcoin price dumped? on: July 28, 2018, 08:37:07 AM
Lately, we know the market price of altcoin weakened. Whether or not the purchasing power decreases. Please explain to me what makes you interested in altcoins? And give me an explanation of what you will do to overcome things when altcoin the price dumps?

I am interested in Altcoin because I wasn't able to get in time at of the bitcoin boom and all I want now is to be a part of making of another bitcoin if possible. I always buy more coins of whatever funds I am having at that time when the market crashes and when the market comes back up again then I sell those coins taking the profit from the dumped market.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down Altcoin down on: July 28, 2018, 08:14:22 AM
Is there any relationship between the two?
Whh must the fall of bitcoin after other altcoins?
No there isn't any relationship between the two as the bitcoin prices fall first then the Altcoin prices fall and not the other way around. This also happen because the investors loose confidence in the Altcoin market after the fall of bitcoin and also some sell their coins to purchase bitcoin because of the sale going on in the dump phase of bitcoin.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in cryptocurrency? on: June 27, 2018, 02:45:39 PM
Came here to this space back in '14 because I was in need of a cheaper alternative to remittances. It was really really helpful in that sense, made my family save hundreds in remittance fees.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leaving Your Job is The Worst Idea on: June 27, 2018, 02:44:39 PM
Back in the days it was entirely possible. Bounties and rewards then was huge, and it was mostly direct to BTCBTCBTC. These days by the time the bounty's released the markets has already crashed and you're rewards almost lost ~50% of its value.
