321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Abandoned low fee tx - still cant use the funds on: November 20, 2018, 10:40:31 PM
Please send a txID, or wallet address, in order to be able to check your transaction.
I've also had a quick look at the mempool, there are a hell lot of transactions in it, most of them has 20 sat/B fee or lower...
Have you tried any of the tx accelerators?

This sort of issue is not forum moderated,do not waste our time with them
C'mon... call off the dogs...
If someone tries to help here, despite of it's forum moderated or not, he/she has the rights to open a topic and reveal the problem. (After it will be decided if it needs to be moved or not).
If you feel that it's a kind of waste of your time, you're free to just easily skip this topic and voilá you'll saved your precious time, that's all. Peace Smiley
323  Other / Meta / Re: Account ban reason. Help please on: November 19, 2018, 10:58:05 PM
...
he cant create new account (evil IP as it was said on the forum, btw i cant register new account too).
...
Maybe you share the same evil IP too? Just an idea.
I've checked the post history (just the first few pages) and it seems that it's only in the Altcoin section, mostly one-two liners...
I'm not surprised that that account has been banned...
324  Other / Meta / Re: What is this forum for? on: November 17, 2018, 04:14:15 PM
let admins delete all my plagiarized posts
That's not how it works. You can't demand or suggest anything.

but I will still write until the day when admins unlock me.
Or until a mod will ban this account as well, because this can be a ban evasion...
Mods or admins won't unlock your former account but hopefully lock this topic, becasue you have already got answer to your questions, and ban evasion is not allowed here.
325  Other / Meta / Re: To Admin : Pls check the copper membership. on: November 16, 2018, 09:24:36 PM
I can see now that your copper membership is OK, it shows up under your username.
Now please lock this topic or ask a mod to lock it, because it will become a spamfest quite soon...
326  Other / Meta / Re: Merit against spam: reward spam reporters & punish spammers on: November 16, 2018, 09:15:55 PM
Most likely he is working on it. One merit for 500 good report isn't big deal for forum. I don't think new people will encourage to make report only for single merit.
Now imagine this:
-bots create 10,000 accounts
-bots start spamming "great project" with 10,000 accounts
-1000 bots start reporting the other 9000 accounts
-1000 bots turn Jr. Member and continue spamming with signature
-Mods run away screaming
And this has been discussed every month this year nearly...
I myself has also suggested this in April and realized later that this is not a good idea...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3275350.0
The thing is, that those people who are not about to abuse systems, don't even think that someone is willing to abuse the system... But later you realize that there are a lot of users who are just here to abuse this forum...
327  Other / Meta / Re: What is this forum for? on: November 16, 2018, 08:58:25 PM
Is't it a ban evasion? If someone banned it's only allowed to open 1 (one) topic in Meta about the ban, and nothing else. Usually ban evaders are banned too, if I remember well, so it's not a wise thing for OP to open numerous topics and spam Meta...
328  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, help me, please! on: November 15, 2018, 10:33:35 PM
If you are not mentioned in that thread, it means that someone has reported one (or more) of your posts, and mods decided to ban you because of breaking the forum rules.
Please read about ban evasion too, in order not to break the rules again.
329  Other / Meta / Re: Post counts don't show? on: November 15, 2018, 10:27:06 PM
The default is that the system shows only your post count, if you check the checkbox mentioned in the  post above, it will make the post count of the others displayed also.
It's quiet handy to see the post count, not only the activity, you can see the posting frequency of the user, if post count is much higher than the activity, the user posts more than 14 posts in an activity period.

Found one in the above mentioned topic (1 try, 1 copypaster..., 100% accuracy Smiley ) I have thought that the situation is worse outside of the Bitcoin section, but....

331  Other / Meta / Re: Reporter Statistics on: November 12, 2018, 11:14:22 PM
This can be risky, and can be exploited for whatever reason and can create more spam instead of reducing it.
Someone could create 50 accounts with bots and report messages to increase their number to get the reward.
Someone already paid more on some campaign for "more merit than the rank" for the green trust, and this could be the case since it give "more visibility" to the account.
They could. However, the payoff is pretty low. Its only a badge, and creating accounts, and then posting with them just to report them is time consuming when you could just find spam that's already on the forum. Its not hard. If the forum wasn't over run with spam then I would agree.
In an ideal world, account farmers would start to report thier competitor spammers, in order to strenghten their position among account farmers and to get higher prices for their farmed accounts...
But this is not an ideal world here, so we need to report, while they only spam..
332  Other / Meta / Re: „Self made” Full member thanks to Theymos? Not exactly, but in a sense… on: November 09, 2018, 10:39:41 PM

Please please pretty please... don't quote the whole OP because you'll end up on JetCash's ignore list... (I know, I know, you won't, but anyway Smiley )

OP, congrats, keep up the good work Smiley
333  Other / Meta / Re: Encouraging users to lock threads on: November 09, 2018, 10:24:51 PM
...

What I think should be standard is that a topic should get locked automatically after a certain period of time of inactivity.  Since necrobumping isn't allowed, dead threads ought to be locked to prevent people from bumping them.
...

I also like this idea (see my topic from june https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4467305.0) but in the end, the conclusion is the same, nothing will change...
Let spammers to spam and let reporters to report, that's all...
334  Other / Meta / Re: My rpi can’t connect to bitcointalk? on: November 09, 2018, 10:17:38 PM
Is there any setting you can use to let it connect to an NTP server to check and set the date&time?
I'm not 100% sure, but as I remember, it should automatically set the correct time. Is it connected to the internet while it boots up?
335  Other / Meta / Re: How to deal with spammers advertising their own websites on: November 08, 2018, 10:36:02 PM
I usually let mods to decide what to do with these kind of fresh twoliner topics with a link.
Because the content of the topic is part of an article he/she refers to, I assume that it's a kind of topic that belongs to the Press section, so I usually report these kind of posts like "This should be moved to the Press section", but mods usually moves the topic to the trash instead of Press Smiley
336  Other / Meta / Re: How to deal with bumping via fake conversation? on: November 07, 2018, 07:56:23 PM
My first red trust! I'll treasure it forever!   Cheesy

Your red trust is gone somehow...lucky goose.  Grin

What happens if e.g. a member who has given red trust (not DT) is banned/nuked/etc?
Does the red trust disappear or it will stay there until the end of time?
Just curious

EDIT:
I'm still having mine Tongue

Have you looked at your trust recently?
I don't know if I want to carry on this conversation, matey says you're a scammer....  Grin
...

My first red trust! I'll treasure it forever!   Cheesy
...
Me too, first red trust is always a memorable thing Smiley

...
Disabling bump ability of new accounts.
...
Especially in most of the Altcoin boards where such promotion with sock accounts is rampant, this is much needed.
...
There should be only allowed to bump for newbies in the Meta and the Beginner's section, because if they want to ask for urgent help, they won't be limited, but the other boards topics should be excluded. Merit is not a good option here, because if a newbie register here only to ask a specific question, he/she won't start to chase merit just to be able to bump his/her topic...
338  Other / Meta / Re: Adding a master account field to profiles. on: November 04, 2018, 11:01:49 PM
I thought I might give a bit of background to my decision to register this name, as it is the result of the major changes that are starting both in the world of crypto and Bitcoin, and in the broader global economy. Jet Cash is a long term holder of Bitcoin, and, as yet, I haven't sold or spent a single Satoshi. I started looking to buy Bitcoin when it was around $50, but I was put off by the wide trading spread and the online frauds of the time. I feel that I am a bit more competent now, and able to judge the reliability of Bitcoin sellers. The trust system here doesn't really help, as people like Vod, The Pharmacist and TMAN have got trust pages that look like a tomato press, but my gut insinct is that they are completely trustworthy. I've executed a couple of trades with JackG, and I went with my instinct with him, and ignored his trust comments. My instinct was right, and the trades were simple, fast, and trouble free. My domain registrar has stopped paying in Bitcoin when I sell domain names, so I am going to have to purchase coins directly to build my savings in the future.

Why have I registered Kuffy? I use the sobriquet "Kuffy" on several other forums, and Jet Cash is only used in this forum and Fit to Talk. Kuffy has over 5,500 likes on a major domaining forum, and I am going to have to start accepting Bitcoin directly for domain name sales. I have been using the escrow and payment service offered by my registrar, but the removal of Bitcoin as an option, means that I am no longer able to do this. I suspect that there may be some cross-over between the reputations of Jet Cash and Kuffy with regards to domain name sales. Hopefully this will lead to my introduction of some new domain name dealers as members of this forum.

I am fairly outspoken, and in the past I have campaigned against affiliate link theft, and the leeching of affiliate payments through review sites. I had a number of problems resulting from these campaigns, as the practioners signed up on various sites using my name, and made a number of posts in attempts to discredit me. At the moment I'm anti-globalism and the associated eugenics, and opposed to the actions of big pharma. I hope that by registering Kuffy here, I will be able to keep a clean reputation for both of the identities.

I'll select a suitable template for a web page for Jet Cash, and I'll list the 3 declared alts on there. For the record, they are JetAid, Talk Merit, and Kuffy. Hopefully, discvussiing them openly will also avoid any confusion in the future.
I know you hate if someone quotes the whole post but..
It's a good technique to have it quoted somewhere if you want to use it later on and you want to prove something with it. If your Kuffy account gets hacked, hackers can edit your post in order to make some trouble, so if someone quotes the post, hackers have to hack the quoter's account too in order to make the necessary changes in the quote too...
There's a similar topic here in Meta (started by Tomatocage) where you can get your bitcoin address quoted, for the same reason. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0
So this is done for you now, this is one of the rare reasons when quoting the whole post is a must Smiley
339  Other / Meta / Re: Merits for posters not making redundant quotes. on: November 04, 2018, 10:39:18 PM
Those are quoting the full OP, most of them are lazy (give benefit of doubt to few as ignorant)
...
Might be qouting OP make them feels that they are relevant or on the topic .
...
I usually think that some kind of signature spammers use this technique to make their post look more "natural" like they are involved in a conversation and not just spamming out one liners in various topics randomly. If they are in a kind of signature campaign where the manager cares about quality, they use this trick to make their post quality better (or at least looking better).
340  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion - Health index for topics to stop spam megathread/bumping on: November 02, 2018, 08:57:42 PM
Thanks for all the replies, I know that it's hard to work out a solution that solves every problem and doesn't give false positives...
I like this proposal a bit. Maybe an "automatic lock" is a bit harsh (because as pooya87 wrote there may be false positives). But instead the system could send an automatic report to the moderators and "grey out" the thread title. The moderators then could decide if they lock the thread or not.
...
This "grey out" thing seems fine for me, I just wanted to have something automated to let the other users know how to search for topics that worths reading these days...
Maybe we will stick to the merits, somehow it should be shown next to the topic's title that that topic has xx merits, so you can easily select those topics that has the most merits.
