... But only question is that is our reporting is helping to reduce this behavior? I think we need to develop a system that every valid report against you will earn some black points(that can be less or more according to the offence committed and nominal points for posting on wrong section etc.) and accumulation of certain "X" number points within 3 month will get you autobanned.
This is a good idea. I used to report these kind of posts / topics in Bitcoin Discussion and usually suggested to the mods to move those kind of topics/posts to the Press section, but somehow those useless topics were always deleted in the end... So if we report enough spammer they will give up this behaviour, because if the posts are deleted they won't increase their activity, so their "work" becomes useless...

I've just quickly checked the OP's post history. It worths no merit yet, but it seems OP has already received 1 merit from someone, and it's just enough to become a Jr. member to be able to participate in the campaigns, so mission has been accomplished for OP. I think OP can lock the topic before it becomes a spamfest...

... Because I find out if my account is reported on this topic. But in this topic there is not my name
Please let me know where you have found your former user in this topic, I have checked the topic quickly but haven't found your user ID nor your username. It's also possible that someone reported you directly to the moderators, not in this topic, in that case you can't find any detail about your ban.

You should have received an email in connection with your ban into your email inbox, in that email there's a link where you can reach the mods in connection with your ban. If you start a new registration here, it could be a ban evasion, and mods don't like it. If you have doubt about the reason of your ban, read the rules first, and check that you haven't violated any of them. If you haven't violated any of the rules, you can use the email address mentioned above to discuss your ban.

The lack of education to all members here in the forum is the main reason why they fail to acknowledge the rules and regulation of the forum. The suggested welcoming protocol for the newbie and old members would be a tool for the new comers to acknowledge forum rules and regulations.
In my opinion, the lack of interest (lazyness) is the main reason why newbies skip the stickies and the rules... I saw a thread suggested form a certain user to implement a welcoming page for all the members before logging in to the forum. The welcoming page must promote professionalism when posting a topic or promoting discussions to all the members. Reading must be specified in the welcome page and should be a highlight to everyone to learn more about the forum's do's and dont's. Well this is already
You can create a really good welcome page and gather all the necessary information in one place, but if newbies don't want to read/learn, it's in vain.... Account farmers won't read any rule, because they don't mind the rules at all... And farmed accounts are the 95% of the new account nowdays... Well hope that some of the members will going to change their ways on the forum after reading the OP's post and the post of all the members concerning an issue like this to promote the welfare of all members in participating forum discussions.
As long as bounty hunters/shitposters only post garbage, they won't bother to read anything... they just post, they don't get any bounty for reading but only for writing...

Meta is for forum related problems, issues, etc... Why don't we just create a new rule that spamming the Meta is a reason for permaban? Well, if I think twice, we could just ban newbies with the new rule, who hunt for merit, but that won't help much because the farmers will just register a new account instead of the banned ones...

... So in the end, those 20%-30% are where it really matters, and if a few (hundred) mega threads would be trashed it would probably still be some hope to save the bitcoin discussion section. ...
I always suggest to just delete those megathreads and 99% of the off topic section, that would decrease the activity count of the farmed accounts.... I know that there is a lot of useful post in the spam megathreads too, but anyway... "Wo gehobelt wird, fallen Späne." (similar in engish: "You can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs")

... You have to add the topic number to your google search (usually works): you will borrow capital to start your business topic=4459454 site:bitcointalk.org Thanks, I'll try that one, I haven't searched in specific topic yet On a side note: - Since you're trying to search within a thread, just search using the search bar "within that thread" or simply use "print" or "All" options and search for the specific phrase (for threads with 25 or less pages). ...
I had bad experience with using the built-in search function, this is why I usually use google in separated tab in the browser... I'll try that one too, thanks

Maybe try you will borrow capital to start your business site:bitcointalk.org ... It's OK that it gives me far more results but it's not really interesting from my point of view when I'm searching for plagiarism... I'm looking for the exact same result But the strange thing I've posted this that google haven't found the topic itself when I was searching for a part of the post in that given topic but only found the user's post history, when I was looking for the exact same phrase

If someone deletes all his posts he becomes Brand New too? It's possible that it's a brought account and the buyer just wanted a 'tabula rasa' to start from scratch with the new account (but it's highly unexpected, because he/she could easily register a new account on the forum with the same result...) Strange anyway...

I'm reading various topics in Bitcoin Discussion now, and I don't know why I can't find the posts with Google search... E.g.: in the topic Cryptocurrency Exchange In Japan Is Offering Bitcoin Loan I was trying to google this phrase: "you will borrow capital to start your business" /site:bitcointalk.org The result is: 1 result (0.19 seconds) Search Results Web results Latest posts of: CrimBit - Bitcoin Forum https://bitcointalk.org › ... › Re: Is bitcoin investors more focus than altcoin investors? I think it's a good idea to attract more people into bitcoin and also to be more involved in bitcoin. Logically in real life, you will borrow capital to start your business ... The strange thing is that Google don't find the post in the topic itself but only in the user's post history.... I don't know why this can happen but it makes extreamly harder for me to find plagiarism and text spinning.... Any thoughts? Does Google crawl this forum slower than expected?

Is the algo different now?
No but now you need 1000 merit along with the activity requirements. This means if merit is not pouring on you, you'll easily reach the required 1030 activity or even more while you will still waiting for the merits to come, so in the end nowdays the algo is not important at all... (unless you already have the 1000 merits, airdropped or earned)

Sorry but you rarely post in the Bitcoin section, and if you do, you just reply to spam megathreads. I hope you can improve your posting quality and in the future other members will give you merit.

It would be far better to have a ban appeal thread stickied to meta and insert the link to the topic in the ban message, keeping the whining in one place.
Normal that was my idea of the thread, so we have all in one thread and not everytime a new thread. Hopefuly new Users or Banned users are not to lazy to read it , but guess they are lol . And what happens if they are too lazy to read that they have to use the existing thread? They newly created topic will be deleted by the mods and they will sooner or later realize that if they want they account back they have to follow the rules...

You can remove the part with the ban appeal at that address as it seems nobody is reading those emails or they take their time doing so I don't think they work applying via that email. I'm not sure how often it's monitored if at all but if it's not or rarely is then it should probably be changed to direct people to meta instead as they're much more likely to get help or answers there.
It would be far better to have a ban appeal thread stickied to meta and insert the link to the topic in the ban message, keeping the whining in one place. +1 And also, to move all the topics to a stickied 'merit' section to have all the topics together which has the 'merit' in the subject.... Meta is really polluted now, it should have less posts if the forum works fine, but now Meta is the place for the normal discussions which is not a problem for a short time but for the future it should be used for what it's been created for...

This LEET post count scares me abit lol. I know that it is just for fun but I hope theymos could change that one soon cause basically I was just freaking out while watching to why this happens to my account's post count.
Shame on me I should have known it earlier.
Newbies please be guided and try to escape post 1337 or just don't try to notice it for your own good.
...
There are several topics about it (I know I've also opened one similar topic a few hundred posts ago ) But I doubt that newbies will get to 1337 posts without ranking up on the way But who knows, this 1 merit for Jr. rule will make this possible also, so it's OK to warn newbies about it

Thanks for all the inputs! I'm just wondering... If spammers were autobanned before the Back to school Newbie demote change, now it's possible to nuke them also. What would happen if we start to nuke spammer accounts? This would make the whole forum cleaner. I know that it's possible that a user was banned because of breaking the rules with e.g. 1 post, and all of his former posts were useful, helpful and on topic, so if we start to nuke all the banned accounts, we could potentially lose some useful content too, so it's not a universal solution...

Just go and post it in it's "official" topic (as above mentioned): Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.0Also you can check there if someone else has already posted your catch
