Looks like the server load is getting high. DDOS?  Sluggish website and hash speed is very low at the moment.

You fucking idiots. NEW USERS SHOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH OTHER NEW USERS.

If you are a new user and wish to do business, you should only transact with SENIOR MEMBERS of this forum, and YOU are expected to take on all the risk.

But you don't understand. They are special rainbow shitting unicorns that exist in a vacuum and it being their party, they can recreate the entire universe if they want to.

Do you have something against rainbow shitting unicorns?  Grin

They killed my motherpreparetodie.

Those shitted rainbows can be powerful tools of destruction.

3206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lets Kill this Paypal Reversible Scam! Look here! on: April 22, 2013, 03:14:48 PM
If you want to buy bitcoins then *forget about paypal* and then move on (if you keep at it then it will be assumed by most here that you are not trying to anything but *use* the paypal system to get free bitcoins as has happened many times before).
i understand the risk that the seller will have. but what eating me alive is the fact that im a legit buyer that want to use my paypal, but so frustrated because some people before me use paypal as their scamming disposal and now im left with the consequences.

Welcome to reality.
3207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lets Kill this Paypal Reversible Scam! Look here! on: April 22, 2013, 03:11:51 PM
You simply tell PayPal you want a return the "epic virtual item" and get a refund for it.They won't ask you to transfer back the free BTC.
but the seller have a proof from our conversation that ive received the items.

Also, if this is the case, what happen to those people who usually buy virtual items or gold from chinese farmer? they coulda say the same shyit to paypal? is it paypal really that dumb and easy to give people refund??
i bet paypal will ask the corresponding seller about the complain first right? and the seller can present paypal about the screenshot of the conversation??
for some weird reason, ive never heard about this uproar about reversible/refund to paypal in MMORPG ecosystem.

Been living under a rock? This has been going on for years.
3208  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Power supply for 2x 7950? on: April 22, 2013, 02:05:36 AM
6 core AMD, 990 MB, 8 GB RAM, HD, 2-7950, 4 fans. LTC on GPUs, Boinc on 4 CPU cores, no over clocking=595 watts under load. GPU's are undervolted a bit.

Yup, that is why its still UP at least, and site is working even under attack. It is a merely information though for people that they may wonder why stats are off or they may see some d/cs.  Im glad you find it funny though Smiley

I left this pool because the same thing happened a few days ago and I lost about 16hrs of hashing power due to "errors crediting all to one user" and VARDIFF issues  Roll Eyes
Seems not quite ready for prime time yet but I applaud the efforts. I'll keep an eye on it for the future.

Yup, I think the Admin should just switch to a 2.5% Fee and focus on having it stable instead of adding new features, it was working perfectly at the begining before adding the improvements. If you take into account the downtimes, a 2.5% Fee is equivalent to 0.6hours, so for a regular 24/7 miner a 12 hours downtime on this pool is equivalent to 20 days of 2.5% fees  Undecided

I like the KISS strategy. Simple is nearly always better. They will get it figured out.

Still not working  here.

I am getting the pool isn't responding. What gives?

Where you get this error? Pool is up and running smoothly, currently hashing just above 450 Mhses ( 455.28 MH/s )

Pool slow down, URL or credential invalid. That's what cgminer shows. It had been working fine until now.

This shit makes me sick https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=169827.0

Not the scammer, which we are all used to, but the constant influx of idiots being suckered by them.

Please put a clearly visible warning on each-and-every-page like Craigslist does.

If you refuse to, you're compliant in the crime.

Won't make any difference because it "won't happen to me" or they will just ignore it like all other warnings.

Well, looks like this account has been abandoned. Donna seems to be a fairly large internet scammer, so I'm going to dig up some info and post it all here as I find it, hopefully it will get indexed by Google and prevent people from being scammed in the future:

Posting here so that this will show up in Google:

Nice work!
3219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best litecoin mining rig? on: March 29, 2013, 06:45:04 PM
Taco - Here is what I currently have

The Basics: 8GB, AMD FX-6100, SSD
MoBo: MSI AM3+ board w/ 2x PCI-E 16x and 2x PCI-E 1x -- http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=743639&sku=M452-6225
GPU's: 2x 5850's, hashing about 530 KH/s combined on scrypt (not OC'ed, going to push this up later today, try to achieve 600 Kh/s)
PSU: OC GameXStream 700w - http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817341002

According to what I'm reading from you guys, I would need the following upgrades to bump up to 1.5 MH/s on Scrypt:
- I doubt my 700w PSU will handle 4 GPUs... so I'll need to upgrade to a PSU that can handle 4x GPU's (any suggestions?)
- Purchase 2x 7950's (currently cheapest on NewEgg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202006)
- Purchase 2x PCI-e 1x > 16x Riser Cables w/ Molex -- http://cablesaurus.com/PCIe-x1--%3E-x16-Adapter-Extender-Cable-w-Molex-Connector

Just checking against what you guys think before I proceed with acquiring anything additional....

I would probably go with a single rail PSU, don't skimp here. Ideally you would want the max load of your box around 80% or less of rated power. Think ahead for additional or better GPUs. Weak PSU will cause many headaches.

Oh well... I have 3 of them mining away on a board for right this second. They are going back to Newegg on monday though. Wonder if they'll give me shit since I haven't game tested them?

I've yet to have an issue with returns to NE, always a first though. Good luck!
