THE WIRE.

Greatest TV show of all time. You'll get loads of people telling you this.

For some reason I found this show really hard to enjoy. I didn't find it as exciting as something like breaking bad.

OP, if you want to watch awesome badness, try the Spartacus remake. Some terrible bits but soooo many giblets.

The Wire is definitely a slow-burner and hard to get in to. I don't consider it a classic, but I know many who do, but I also know a lot of peeps who couldn't get into it at all.

the 4th was really good mate, definitely better than the 3rd (for dexter that is).

i personally like boardwalk empire and game of thrones, of the current tv series at least. there is quite a bit of dialogue though.

I'm looking forward to watching all of Dexter again. Will probably start on it sometime next year.

you know the reason why dexter took such a nosedive after 4 seasons right? the writer jumped ship.. you could totally tell by the dropoff in the quality of the writing. so much shit in the last 3-4 seasons made my eyes roll.. horrible, horrible writing.

also, downton abbey is a british show.. it must be gay. i couldn't get into it.

If he would just talk about bitcoin and litecoin , people would of still respected him .I lost all respect when he started pumping quark.

there are many who follow him blindly, because most of what he does indeed say is true. he's kind of like libertarian bait.. if you are anti government, and you hear him spout out against it.. then you, as a libertarian, are more than likely going to like him... whether he is looking for himself or not (max keiser that is).

I like watching modern time shows, not into Old Fashion clothing shows. I like either present days or the future types. Also I like crime related shows. No romance type they are boring to watch on TV shows.

I like Action movies mainly. Guns and stuff. Or Horror, Crime, Thriller types.

Thanks

Check out The Sopranos then. And for action Prison Break & 24.

I also recommend Dexter, but I've only seen the first three seasons.

he didn't really bring up any substantial logic for why quarkcoins offer something that bitcoin doesn't; no compelling arguments make me think he's just a pumper and dumper. i feel max keiser is just the same.. seems like he's mainly in it for himself, while painting him as the guy who is totally against the establishment. it's okay though, since i agree with what he says... so imo he's educating the populace.
3225  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many anarchists? on: December 20, 2013, 11:49:31 AM
I am more of a Libertarian than an anarchist. But I have to admit that I do support anarchists on certain occasions.

this is where i sit as well. i like to piss and moan about unnecessary government involvement in our daily lives; i just think that adopting an anarchistic society just opens up a whole new can of worms that does not solve many issues.. instead it would just shift the issues.
3226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newsweek in 1995: Why the Internet will Fail. on: December 20, 2013, 08:04:11 AM
while cryptos share many similarities with the internet, i don't think they are necessarily direct comparisons. the internet's impact will probably be much much bigger and more felt than BTC's.
3227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Former CIA chief: Snowden should be “hanged by the neck until dead” on: December 20, 2013, 07:39:59 AM
can these douchebags even prove that snowden's leaks have caused grave danger to american safety and well being? or do they just think he should be hanged because he hurt the police state?
3228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 20, 2013, 06:53:43 AM
i really have no idea what's going to happen long-term. this recent crash should be sobering to some people, as bitcoin could be forever relegated to a black market asset/currency.
3229  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you get naked for bitcoins? on: December 20, 2013, 06:52:18 AM
If we think the human body is degrading, then we have bigger issues

Different people will interpret it differently. Here, the body is exposed in order to receive bitcoins. Some might say it is a work of art. Some might say that it is just another way of earning money. Some might even say that it is prostitution or porn.

Well prostitution would imply exchange of a sexual act for economical benefits. So that does not apply here.

But yeah I hear you, it vastly depends on what the end user think is his or her moral boundary. Some may say Victoria secrets catalogs fall into the porn category because the pictures are supposed to be sexy and provoke.

But then what about a picture of me standing in front of the camera naked. Just a straight picture of the female human body naked. I would say that is not pornography. And if it fetches a million coins, well what better.

head on over to reddit's /r/girlsgonebitcoin then.. post here too. i'd be long if i said the guys here weren't interested in seeing how you look nude  Grin
3230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *POLL* - Why are you here? on: December 20, 2013, 02:31:48 AM
why does it have to be one or another? why not an amalgamation of these things? that's why i'm here.
3231  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many anarchists? on: December 20, 2013, 02:29:37 AM
there are a lot of anarchists here.. what's the difference between an anarchist and a libertarian anyways? they seem to go hand in hand.
3232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesnt someone make a cash only exchange? on: December 19, 2013, 08:11:24 AM
because you'd have to comply with a shit ton of rules and regulations.
3233  Other / Off-topic / Re: Greed is one of bitcoins most underrated aspects on: December 19, 2013, 08:10:29 AM
In my opinion, greed is definitely preventing Bitcoin from becoming more mainstream. Since the Bitcoin transactions are irreversible and complex, a lot depends on honesty and trust. Unfortunately what I have seen so far is not encouraging.

but greed is also the reason why man are investing into bitcoin.
3234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Bitcoin ATM Solve the 3rd Party Payment Problem in China? on: December 19, 2013, 08:09:54 AM
Why couldn't you ban bitcoin ATMs as easily as stopping deposits into an exchange?  Indeed, isn't that the current state of things in the USA?  (Not officially, but who wants to apply for money transmitter licenses in 50 states and comply with all the regs?

They didn't ban deposits into exchanges. BTC China suspended deposits from banks. The government banned deposits from 3rd party services. We need some time for clarification here though.

Regarding your American point, applying for liceneses in all 50 states is not needed. Just apply in the biggest states with the most returns. If BTC continues to take off, the others will get their BTC.  Cool
Also, their is some money coming into to change these ridiculous money licensing laws e.g. to be more like Europe - i.e. one license applies to other states.

IAS

the whole point is to stop people from buying bitcoins. so if there were ATMs, they would just ban them.

"Get rich or die tryin"

You should all be proud of yourselves that you all tried, you took a risk like most people never do and at least you can say that you tried... but now it's time to die.

oh well, you can always wait until your dad gets old and dies.. so you can get your inheritance money.
3236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We should be happy tyranny is allergic to bitcoin, not sad. on: December 19, 2013, 05:23:28 AM
so we should be happy that centralized governments will try to do anything and everything to destroy cryptocurrencies?

yes, that's the thing. if china bans ATMs, then how would they exist in china?
3238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting around a government ban on BTC on: December 19, 2013, 01:10:04 AM
Spend your fiat on mining hardware. When you want to sell, sell for gold or silver.

A CPU-only altcoin will rage ahead of Bitcoin in China.

Especially one with stronger anonymity than Bitcoin.

anonymity with bitcoin is not the issue here. it's getting the currency into bank accounts anonymously that is the problem. with any other crypto, you'd need an exchange that would require registration, a bank account and an ID.
3239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT a investment on: December 19, 2013, 01:02:29 AM
you are wrong. bitcoin is both a currency and investment. that's why it's so special, there has never been anything like it. you can't just say that it's not an investment because you don't want people looking at it that way.
3240  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it just me or this island looks like weed on: December 19, 2013, 01:01:24 AM
looks more like a sugar cookie to me.. but that's probably just because i don't smoke weed, so i don't look for weed in everything.
