if the clippers make it to the finals, i guess i'd have to root for them.. don't want miami winning 3 in a row. i still think san antonio is a favorite to reach the finals though.
I think the Spurs have the best shot at beating Miami, but I think OKC beats the Spurs, in a series, so it's a weird triangle. The clippers are the wild card to win every great team is starting to look not so great.. well, except for miami. damnit.

melancholia is a hipster's dream. i fucking hated that movie, they tried to make it so god damn artsy. try-hard movie, i'd say. along with, as previously mentioned, tree of life. i also thought black swan was stupid.

Alcohol used to pay a big part in my life. I drank everyday it basically took over my life. Then I decided one day that enough was enough. I was tired of it controlling me. I put it down and haven't drank in 18 years.
Congrats Successfully quitting without 12 step programs is much more common than AA will ever tell you. Most people just don't have the self-will or determination to quit and think they need help from others or AA or god etc, but they don't. It really is as simple as just stopping. Obviously it's not as easy as that for people who are alcoholics, but if you have the determination then it's all you need. well no shit, but they just aren't able to stop. their mind makes them think that they absolutely need it. nothing wrong with needing help. i'm not sure if a support group would help me though.

same answer to the question of "if you were really horny could you survive by looking at porn?" the answer is no.

i've tried to cut down on sugary drinks.. but i still consume them. i like iced coffee, but not too much caffeine. that shit makes me nauseated.

Clippers are doing well so far. If they want to win this series, they definitely need to win at least one game in okc
isn't that obvious? they don't have the homecourt advantage. they are definitely better than last year, which is probably due to the coaching change. they're not a top tier team though, in my opinion.

heat does suck. it's more uncomfortable, but it's harder to survive winter conditions.. so i'll still take heat. besides, if it gets really hot, you can go swimming. that would feel good.

That is way too easy for the Heat. At least hockey might be exciting.
I know round 1 of the NBA had several great series, but the Eastern conference is looking really lame now.
the heat are so lucky in that they are in the east coast. the playoffs are usually a breeze for them, at least until the ECF. Yeah, I have been saying they need to shake it up a bit. They should change it to North and South or something that new commissioner silver guy has said that they might go to a 1-16 format. long overdue, imo.

i guess i just don't have the patience to watch soccer. sometimes no team even ends up scoring. it can certainly be entertaining, but most of the time it's just damned boring.. kinda like baseball.

This year has been good so far. I find it hard to get excited about the NBA Playoffs since pro basketball has proven to be fixed/rigged/corrupt more than once. An upset by Dallas would have been exciting, but the Spurs are a quality team.
The Pacers upsetting the Heat would make a great story, after they have been in a tailspin the last month.
i don't see indiana doing jack. hibbert is handicapped for whatever reason. the reason why they were such a problem for miami last year was their size down low. Something has happened with the team. I don't know what it is, but I am sure that some info will come out after the season. #1 seeds don't have monumental fails like that Pacers have done after the All Star Break, and part of these playoffs. Hibberts stats are ridiculous. I mean the guy can basically touch the rim without even jumping. How is it humanly possible to have stats so low... There has to be something else going on that we all don't know about. i heard some theories that he could be injured.. it would explain a lot. but it doesn't explain the lack of team chemistry though. either way, indiana is not going very far this year.

#2 of all time? i'm not so sure about that, but cosmos is pretty good. most of the stuff i've seen so far, i've already known though. btw, louie is back.. i'm going to skip the clipper game, since i don't care for them.

What was "carnivale" about exactly?
early 1900's, dustbowl oklahoma/texas area.. group of "freaks" travelling and hosting circus activities. there's a mysterious figure that sits in one of the cabins.. lots of weird stuff ensues. main character is some special guy or something like that. This show was definitely worth watching. I don't know how much I would like it if I watched it again now. Any idea why it got cancelled? Did it just not get that many viewers? probably low viewership. it's definitely got a weird vibe to it, so maybe most might not like it. or maybe it was just ahead of its time.

try to meditate. by doing that, you just observe your thoughts until they change.

doesn't matter if i get a lot of sleep or too little sleep.. i always wake up feeling drowsy and it sucks. i'm not a morning person at all. i wake up between 8 to 10 normally though. it's better than sleeping to 12 and feeling like shit the rest of your day.

has anyone seen the single season of carnivale? that show was damn good - too bad HBO cancelled it in the early 2000's.
