3281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: "minimumstakingthresold" affect in staking rewards on: July 06, 2021, 06:57:47 PM
Minimum staking threshold is the minimum amount you can stake in order to be eligible for the staking rewards. Anything below that amount won't get you the rewards. As far as I know, most coins give out rewards according to how much you have staked usually calculated in percentage form.

So someone staking 1000 coins will definitely get more rewards than someone staking 10 coins

Can you please specify which coin you are trying to stake and which platform you are using to stake it.
3282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Btc or Usdt? Which is better to gamble with? on: July 06, 2021, 06:04:05 PM
The problem is, how and when do we know about the bear trends taking place. When I am not sure about the trend (like the recent one where, when we thought btc was going back up, it came down again and again), is btc still a good option to gamble with? Or should I choose usdt to keep my gains limited, yet fixed instead of going for volatile gains?
Its depends on the time frame with which you are going to keep your winnings in the casino. If it's shorter time frames, then it doesn't matter. It it's longer time frames. It does matter, for example over the past couple of months, I would have been using USDT instead of BTC or ETH. If you have some experience trading you can easily tell when a price correction starts taking place.

3284  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Dex-trade review needed on: July 06, 2021, 04:21:40 PM
I have never used the platform but judging from the reviews I have read on trust pilot. Avoid it like a plague. I wouldn't even send 1 USD to them.
Speaking of which, why do you particularly use the DEX-trade with so many other trust worthy exchanges available?

Just check out the negative reviews which seem legit apart from a few - https://www.trustpilot.com/review/dex-trade.com?stars=1
That should be enough for me.

Why it’s named dex-trade.com? Is it a DEX? It doesn’t seem so although.
It's not a dex, they even ask for KYC.

3285  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why China shut down mining farm? Carbon Emission. on: July 06, 2021, 03:26:22 PM
I don't know if my thoughts are just off but who else thinks that the Bitcoin mining crack down in China is a good thing for Bitcoin in the long run?

With miners pulling out of China and looking for other favorable places to set up their mining farms, I think we shall see a much well balance distribution of miners across the globe contrary to the situation where over 50% the hashrate was from china so that in future, so anything happen to China, the effect on the Bitcoin network will be minimal.

3286  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Best marketplaces for used Antminers? on: July 05, 2021, 11:47:08 PM

3287  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling btc coinbase rate on: July 05, 2021, 11:33:21 PM
How are you supposed to get an interested party if you haven't specified the type of payment you would like to receive from them?

Is it Skrill, web money, PayPal, International bank transfer or another altcoin?

3289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Livecoin - refund on: July 05, 2021, 10:58:30 PM
You are going to have to done more than what you just posted like adding proof such as TX ID to show how much you were refunded.

Livecoin's website is down, so where is the information to show that a refund is being done and accounts must post on bitcointalk announcing that they got part of the refund?
3290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe in this information? on: July 05, 2021, 10:31:45 PM
Germany are against ICO and they don't have easy regulations for cryptocurrency market.
But there is a difference between and ICO and an established cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. An ICO is way of funding a crypto start up. So they could be totally against ICOs not totally against cryptocurrencies.

Anyway regardless, such news never excites me. Whether they join or not, the crypto markets will still continue to grow as time goes by.
3291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Chilean altcoin announcement on: July 05, 2021, 09:44:32 PM
Did you just say 999,999,999,999,999,999 coins?  Grin
And who tell you that you are the one to set the market price of the such tokens?  Even from 0.000003 usd the price will keep dropping till it's 0.00 USD
There's nothing you token has to offer.

Can stop the desire to create shitcoins, can you?
3292  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance P2P on: July 04, 2021, 10:21:35 PM
Apart from what above said, you have to complete identity verification; since you are using VPN, I doubt you could be able to verify. After successfully KYC verification, AFAIK, I guess you have to apply for being a merchant/agent of Binance p2p; After that, if you are accepted, you can sell your coins. I can be worng. please correct me if so.
After I got verified on Binance sometime back, initially there was a requirement to apply to become a merchant in order to be able to post Buy and Sell Ads but I could still place buy and sell orders. After some time, the requirement isn't there anymore even when I did not apply to be a merchant. I can still post ads.

3293  Other / Meta / Re: A suggestion for Highlighting Posts. on: July 04, 2021, 08:54:39 PM
That would be a bit of an effort to make the forum look like a rainbow with different highlighted posts combined with colors from signatures  Wink Cheesy

Anyway we do have a much easier solution for Unmerited good posts. If you ever find one, just report it to this thread -  [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source. I am very sure if the post is awesome, merit sources won't ignore meriting it.
3294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Report on wish fake 1060 on: July 04, 2021, 08:35:40 PM
It is possible to buy GPUs at aliexpress. But if you want to get working GPU at pump - it will cost the same as in Europe. Used GPU per $40 you can buy only then dump.
Nobody said it's not possible but question is what kind or quality of GPU are you buying?

Personally I don't trust buying electronics or gadgets from online retail or wholesale sites that consist of different random sellers like Aliexpress, ebay, or amazon. Chances of getting a faulty or fake item are very high
3295  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAmWATCH] Pivotcoinhub.com; Fake Bitcoin Recovery Site. on: July 04, 2021, 07:38:43 PM
Pivotcoinhub is a fake cryptocurency funds recovery sites who offers payback to scammed victims and end up scamming them, too bad some people still don't know how crypto transactions works, its forever impossible to revise it, if you lose your coin you lose it forever

I got to know about crypto recovery scams sometime back. They Prey on the victims being so desperate to try and recover what they have just been scammed  Grin

One of the golden rules in crypto is, once you lose money to scammers, don't bother recovering it. You may end up falling into another scam trap inform of Bitcoin recovery services especially if they ask you to make payment upfront.
3296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Blockchain and traditional banks. on: July 04, 2021, 05:12:42 PM
Just like you saw the Emails over take the traditional ways of sending and posting messages. It's inevitable that Blockchain technology will over take the traditional banking system. The only difference is that Banks or Governments will try to ensure they create their own blockchains which they can control and not adopt the current cryptocurrencies such as Ether or Bitcoins which they can't control.

So what we may have is let say China having the Chinese yuan currency running on a blockchain created and controlled by the Government. They can also choose to create, burn and freeze the coins at any time they feel like.
3297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I have a question about mining. on: July 03, 2021, 10:48:28 PM
100 Dogecoins a day means you earn roughly $25 every 24 hours from those faucets and referrals. Now from all the faucets I have ever tried, that's a very decent amount. I don't know how you do it but that's far better than mining right now.

Equipment is scarce and expensive right now, once you get it, you have to think about power and by the time you break even, it will be several months down the road of which dogecoin price may have dropped down further. I suggest you just stick to what you are doing right now.
3298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Viewing advertisements and getting paid with Ethereum on: July 03, 2021, 10:35:16 PM
Complete waste of time. You may think time is useless but it's a very important resource towards making money.

Now you are going to spend a lot of time watching timed ad video's plus the data bundles you are going to consume while trying to load the videos all from just very little ether. it's not worth it.
3299  Other / Archival / Re: Exchange PayPal for BTC and buy ETH for BTC. Best offer! on: July 02, 2021, 11:20:48 PM
WARNING

Most scammers who are guilty conscious will always say this:

...
I buy ETH for BTC. Have now 15 BTC.
I have 300K+ Balance PayPal. In my telegram channel, video proofs of transfers and account balance.
For stupid people who will write that this is a lie.

.....

Who has no money, do not write to me !
I accept payment only in BTC !
I don’t make transfers 100$-500$-1000$-5000$-10000$

Do not deal with this asshole or else you will lose your money. The warning are everywhere. A PayPal transaction can be reversible. Avoid like a plague

This is what one of the admins said about PayPal and reversible transactions

Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks. Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

This is why newbies are not likely to sell their PayPal USD for bitcoins successfully.

Some other services that are not totally safe:
- Bank transfers (ACH, etc.) except wire transfers
- Most gift cards.
- Moneypak
- AlertPay
- Paysafecards
- Dwolla
- Western Union (they reportedly will sue the recipient to recover money in some cases)
3300  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful of scammers on p2p exchanges on: June 29, 2021, 09:56:31 PM
I have experienced this at least a couple of time on p2p.

In one case, I was selling some USDT for fiat but the other trader's payment window was so long, I think about 4 hours. The trick was to make me keep waiting until I forget and just as the 4 hours were about to end, the trader marked the trade as paid and then shortly opened an appeal claiming he had paid the funds but I had refused to release the coins.

He found me so alert, I post all the proof showing I had not received anything but he insisted that he had sent the money. As soon as the support joined the dispute, he immediately cancelled the dispute.
