It sounds like this would be a good example for why exchanges going forward should be more transparent and active when it comes to trading or deposit suspension. If I were running an exchange, that sort of information would be displayed where it is most important; if deposits are being suspended, then that should be glaringly obvious where the user would go to deposit their funds and it should be displayed as a notice as far in advance as possible.
I still stand by the idea that we should all avoid putting any coins on an exchange for any amount of time as much as possible.
I refuse to believe that Gate.io did not put out any warnings on the deposit page or even totally disable generating the deposit address as most exchange do once they announce that deposits have been suspended. This is the same guy have the same issue with phemex too. I don't think it's a coincidence. You knew of those issues and yet you still went to deposit despite all of those risks two days later, you checked the price and despite the warning that is even on that trading page and now you blame them for what?
He's having the same complaints with Phemex too, which mean he probably just deposited the money into the addresses without even checking if the deposit pages were disabled. worst exchange i deposited 50000 luna when it was 0.2 $ so deposit didnt arrive at all then they disabled exchange of luna after 2 days when my deposit arrive i cant cashout and now muna price is 0.0003 so i just lost 10 k cuz this exchange

That's not an excuse! He is right to claim foul Play here. If deposits were suspended on 10th of may, all deposit option for that coin is suppose to be removed effectively and immediately disabled for users.
Mr okorieemmanuel, How sure are you that the deposit option was still active? What was the point of gate.io announcing suspension of deposit if they still left the deposit option active? Is OP the only person who fell victim? Why are we not seeing more of such complaints about the "foul play" on Twitter, their Reddit or Trustpilot?
Bitcoin_Arena is correct when he says that an announcement was made that deposits and withdrawals will be suspended 4 days before OP sent those coins. But as okorieemmanuel rightly said, users of Gate.io shouldn't have to go search on Twitter or Gate.io articles whether or not they can deposit, withdraw, or trade their assets. Such instructions need to be available on the wallet page, which shouldn't allow you to display a receiving address at all due to the suspension in trading.
When it comes to accusations of the exchange doing arbitrage trading, that has to be proven, and I doubt OP can do that.
it's also possible that OP just made a deposit of Luna into the exchange using his Luna deposit address that he already has saved somewhere. For example, I have my Binance or Bybit deposit addresses saved in my noncustodial wallet. I can send coins to my account minus checking my deposit option via the exchange, which is a very bad practice in case they have disabled deposits, and I am not aware. |

There are so many variables to consider;
1. Right now, the market is not trendy, at least for most assets. It's just moving sideways, so expect to wait longer
2. Time frame, the longer the time frame, the longer you will have to wait.
3. The coin you are trading.
Just so you know, technical indicators are not 100% accurate. They may just be used to guide you on how the market might move, but do not trust them fully. Use stop-losses often or manage your risk accordingly.

Just expect lots of alts, especially shitcoins with no real use case, to dump so hard... You will see most of them going up to 90-99% and never expecting them to resurrect again. Some coins will perform well in the bear market, but they will be very few, and the joy will be sort lived.
You can buy coins at any point in the bear market in preparation for the bull run, but be ready to be patient and there is also some bit of luck if you buy a shitcoin that will pump beyond 5000%

Hi i deposited luna before deposit was getting disabled price was 0.0005 they didnt credit my account (withdraw is always enabled ) that was on 14 may But they did make an announcement that they are suspending deposits and withdrawals on the 10th May. You are to blame for making a deposit on 14th even after the announcement, that why it wasn't credited https://www.gate.io/article/26475and price on gate.io was always high than other markets and now the price is down to normal price so what i think gate io was doing arbitrage and selling there coin in there market and now price is 0.00019 so they just blocked our coins to sell there coins stay away from this shitty exchange
The price difference was because the withdrawals and deposits were disabled. This is common. Do you have any proof that they did any arbitrage trading? |

The case with RajaDen, who repeatedly plagiarized, as well as malicious cheating, is also not considered critical. Not only is he repeatedly trolling by copying scam bounty campaign threads and bluntly plagiarizing other people's posts. The user has alts that have already been banned and have been connected by Fatfork here So he's already evading ban, and yet he hasn't got banned yet after all that time. It doesn't make any sense. It seems you are still new in the same, but things already started when this year was beginning How far down can they go ? Until they are worthless. There is information about the minimum amount on the deposit page. I am not sure how OP missed it, especially given that he was using the service for the first. Fees and minimum deposits are usually one of the things one first looks out for.  |
