3321  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 14, 2021, 11:10:55 PM
I don't think that it's a scam attempt but everyone is just waiting to get paid and for the refill of the hot wallet. It should be filled within a couple of hours from now.
We don't like the delay that has been too long and everyone is experiencing inconvenience at that point. That's why it's why many are disappointed from that point.

I have to agree with you that scam might not be the appropriate term and Bitvest won't likely be turned into that.

But if that kind of action wherein everything is always a long delay, either in their campaign or to their user's withdrawal at their site, that was already unprofessional. Delays are ok and can't be avoided but if that's always the case for long, it's not good anymore and something needs to be done.

I hope the case will be properly addressed. They are one of the long-time running sites in the crypto-gambling community and the reputation built since then shouldn't be damaged.
We're all speculating and waiting what will happen next when it's already properly addressed.
There must be a method to be used that will give back the confidence of those loyal players on their site about the problem of emptying of hot wallet when the owner is away.
3322  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 14, 2021, 10:08:17 PM
I actually agree with this one.

The behaviour of not having a hot wallet and allowing cash outs to be cancelled is definitely shady.

I doubt that you'll be "scammed outright" if you play though. Lightlord has been around a while, has always been less than professional, but yet has always paid out at the end of the day.
Everyone is hoping for the best for him and even if he's too busy in things that he does. He should maintain the best service that's been known to them including the emptiness of their hot wallet. And as they promote instant cashout then that's what they have to maintain and always have someone to refill their hot wallet from time to time or make a definitive way to refill it automatically from the players fund that have lost to them just recently so that it's just a cycle of winners fund for withdrawal and losers fund to refill.

Yeah exactly.

Almost ponzi like if they don't handle this properly so waters can get muddy pretty quickly.

I'm not sure whether this is genuinely a scam attempt though, I'm fairly sure it's just perpetual mismanagement of the entire business or a result of not putting in enough effort for the maintenance of the company imho.

3323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin failed at $58,000 and dropped by more than $3K in a day. on: October 14, 2021, 09:02:30 AM
I saw Bitcoin drops 3k$ in a day and expert says that it is all because binance restricts access of Chinese users. more negative news in relation to China will drop the Bitcoin price down, but I think bitcoin will soon recover just like before,
I saw it on binance spot a while ago that it has hit $58k. It's not a failure as it just stepped there. We need to be patient waiting for the time of it to be stable again at another price like $58k.

what was your opinion about this 3k$ dropped of btc price?.
Don't have to highlight that as there's more than that amount that bitcoin dropped within a day. If there's a significant drop then you expect the recovery of it is way better than the price drop.

3325  Economy / Economics / Re: What are common arguments for Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2021, 10:48:33 PM
What should new investors know about Bitcoin?
Volatility. The new investors might be encouraged by early investors and think that it's an easy investment that they've just held for a long time and made a profit. They should understand and no need for any argument about it since it's the main description of bitcoin.
And as they invest to bitcoin, it's not an overnight success for everyone that they're going to be rich. It is what we say to those new investors that are very optimistic about it because they might think about a quick run of success having it.
3326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advice: 1 BTC on: October 13, 2021, 04:25:05 PM
This might be more personal as well confidential to we all, but if you're to share your thoughts or advice one on how to spend he's/her 1btc what would that be ?
Estate management ?
More in Bitcoin ?
Investment in the Stock market ?
Maybe your ideas might or will be helpful.
Spending bitcoin to gain more bitcoin means that you'll have to trade it or do something like buying and selling of goods and profit there shall be  converted to bitcoin again. IMHO, what I'll do with 1 btc is that I'll just hold it. I might sell but not for now and will invest the profit into real estate. I think that's the best option next bitcoin if I just want to take most profits into another investment. I wouldn't get into stocks after selling bitcoin, it's better to keep it.
3327  Economy / Economics / Re: How to protect from inflation? on: October 12, 2021, 11:03:12 PM
But since we're in bitcoin, it is also believed that bitcoin or any top ranking crypto nowadays can be also used to escape or evade inflation but it is not guaranteed that it's the best defense from inflation because its volatility can't assure you. Still many trusts bitcoin as an investment to protect from yearly increased inflation.
Just be too conscious with many top cryptos. Except bitcoin, you'll never know if any of them will be replaced by another better project in the long run. This has happened many times and you need to look at that before you become confident picking any of them. I'm not questioning all of them but throughout the years, there's always a replaced coin at the top spot by another one that's emerging in its market. But it's true that picking any of them that you're sure about together with bitcoin really can help your assets from inflation.
3328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with whales? on: October 12, 2021, 10:04:08 PM
This is the same worry that what if satoshi wakes up and started moving those untouched bitcoins. Well, those are a million of bitcoins. And that's why you don't have to think about it. If they're going to dump, let them dump it. They deserve the profits that they'll take soon and what if they're also one of those early people that have bought bitcoin at a low price and believed on it and held it until now? They all have the rights to everything that they want to do with those bitcoins that they hold.
3329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm sure altcoins will pump if we hold long on: October 12, 2021, 09:17:31 PM
Not everyone is going to hold forever and you have to remember that all of us are here for the profits. So if there's an opportunity to sell at a good and profitable price, you can't stop someone and say that you should've hold together until forever and until the price goes to the peak. What if the peak is already on that time and you've missed it because you've encouraged to hold and you haven't seen the peak again? It's a very situational thing to hold and you have no guarantee that everyone will also hold as you want to hold and promote it.
3330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you quit Bitcoin if a shitcoin like Ethereum surpassed it? on: October 12, 2021, 08:18:53 PM
There is a lot of shilling lately (again) with "the flippening" event happening. Ethereum has created a new market which is basically 99% scam tokens, rugpulls, pump and dumps and NFTs which are probably used for money laundering. Anyway, the thing is, there is definitely if a demand for all of that, even if it's all based on a platform that's not decentralized.

So to the point: Would you quit if a centralized shitcoin managed to surpass Bitcoin in marketcap? At that point it would be clear that entire space is a joke. Bitcoin would still march on as usual, but it would be just sad to see people putting their money on shitcoins rather than on the only actually decentralized blockchain worth anything.
Why should I? They don't even quit so there's no sense of quitting even if there's a new altcoin that will surpass it. The logic is that they do not even care that bitcoin is at the top right now and they keep on investing into different altcoins. There are those investors that see a lot from those random altcoins and don't protect themselves through buying bitcoin as part of their investments. I'll still use and buy bitcoin no matter what.
3331  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 WINZ.IO 🚀 50K TREASURE ISLAND ADVENTURE 🌴 UP TO 150 FREE SPINS BONUS 🥇🥈🥉 on: October 11, 2021, 11:45:15 PM
we will cover 50% of your loss. Then try to cash out and see yourself. We don’t make these deals usually, should you post results here, we are glad to make an exception.

At least, winz team is open for this challenge. It means, they are sincere on this business and willing to accept player's challenge.
This will give them more credibility if they deliver on this situation.
Yes, they're open and they're willing to take it so that they can satisfy one player that has concern as they play.

Interesting if this act will push thru. Is he going to really deposit 5btc and play?
In any case, the casino will cover the 50% of his loss. So not a bad deal if he will push thru and test the site.
I don't know, we'll just see it then but that's a good consolation for him and offer if he lose 5 btc then he gets back 2.5 btc.
3332  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 11, 2021, 08:18:57 PM
if you don't like the platform then leave it, as simple like that. We have the choice to choose a trusted gambling site or not. There are many gambling situations and we must be more careful in choosing them. if you have proof that this is a scam then you can complain it and it will help others too. Of course it's frustrating if we lose money but we also have to know what the cause is. I don't know what is said is true or not about fraud but I just want to say that this is the world of gambling so be more careful and be aware of whatever it is.
The situation could be different in other gamblers where their money are stuck on the casino and despite they want to leave, they just can't because there's still the amount that they want to withdraw. But on this situation, I think it's needed also some understanding on both ends, while the hot wallet hasn't been refilled due to some problem by knowing the owner is sick. Someone who's affected of it has to wait but we don't know if people who are affected by it is also facing another problem that's requiring him that money.
3333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum and additional gas fees on: October 11, 2021, 07:15:44 PM
Over the last few days, I have faced many problems while transacting a few tokens. Even after I repeatedly deposited in a few wallets, at one point the transaction was going to stop. That is what is in Uniswap. I have deposited 20$ due to additional fee. But the fee needs to be above 50$. So has been interrupted to swap a few times. Currently I think the Ethereum platform is the most expensive. What do you think?
Yes, very expensive lately. But what can we do to reduce the fees? we have to wait until the network shows a cheaper gas fee so that we're going to have a transaction that won't be that have much fee. But doing this will require you to be patient because it will take you sometimes an hour or two before you see the drop in the gas fees. So, if you're not in a hurry and you want to pay for cheaper fees then that's all you need to do until ethereum developers do something about it.

Yes, they still have one remaining game but even if they win against T1 tomorrow, they're already out through scores since the first day started. The last match of T1 was funny against Undying because there's an issue before by saberlight that he called, "sea, bunch of noobz". And that's why the game was funny because there were rains of tips and chatwheel every single time one of them dies.
That trash talks makes this competition a lot more fun and not just a serious fights, well TP has no chance to go on a lower bracket, that's sad for them but at least they will still go home with $100k, maybe close enough to cover their expenses. T1 with a winning streak today is a good one, I'm looking forward to watch more of their games today. Hopefully, more trash talks with a lot of humor though.  Cheesy
TP is out together with SG Esports. Two South American team and a lot have been feeling bad of the 2 slots seems to be a waste and DPC season wasn't that great because of this.
T1 is at the upper bracket and they've been chosen by PSG.LGD to be their next match because with their history, T1 has never won to them and that's why they see an advantage on it.

I accept your offer, there are some minor terms that we need to discuss in order to make it happen but first of all, let's select some reputable escrow service providers here in the forum for 5BTC.  Are you willing to go escrow route?
5 Bitcoin is so big and Escrow service is a must. There are trusted Escrow service providers and you can find them from Recommended bitcointalk escrow services

bL4nkcode Escrow service
I'm reading a few post about this thing and I think that the winz team is handling it fairly enough. Someone who's dealing with the actual casino doesn't really need to have an escrow since they're the escrow themselves. And I think there's an unusual yet very good offer that's being brought to the table by the winz representative as I quote it below. But anyway, best of luck.

3336  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL] What to expect from Bitcoin in 2022? on: October 10, 2021, 05:16:39 PM
I don't want to be negative that the winter will come to crypto again as there's always the cycle. But if it breaks the cycle next year and there's another bull run where it will be reaching another ATH then that's better to see than the bear market.

What is going to happen in 2022 will be highly dependent on where are are going to end 2021. The probable endings of 2021 for bitcoin market are $120k or $190k or $380k. These are based on 10x growth (and repeating of history) in 4 year cycle. (If you consider 10k was the right growth in 2017 then $100k will be the ATH in 2021 because some speculators argue 10k to 19k in December 2017 was a bubble and need to ignore such numbers).
These prices are too high IMHO. $100k is even high but that's the highest that we can ever speculate with a possible accuracy to be ending this year but I would love to see it when it's already $380k.
3337  Other / Archival / Re: The beginning of the end of traditional payment processors? on: October 09, 2021, 11:27:18 PM
With the adoption not just in El Salvador, those old modes of payment will likely die unless they also adopt BTC like what PayPal had done. Paypal must have seen it coming too just like Visa and Mastercard.
The big remittance processors aren't going to die but they'll have to think of another way of getting back those customers. What they can adopt is the technology and making their service ease and cheaper than the usual transfers. That goes the competition first but if they've done that and there's not that much sales from that action then the last is what you've said, they're going to adopt it but I can't think how they'll add it to their service if using bitcoin alone is the actual payment and processor already that can be done by any individual without going through a third party.
3338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is telling people you're into stocks "cool" but crypto is a big secret? on: October 09, 2021, 10:33:22 PM
In general, I think that stocks and cryptocurrencies are quite similar to each other.
They're completely different from each other. It makes it look that they are similar because many people considered crypto as stocks too. You'll be investing into a digital asset and they're easily comprehending and showing it as an example of stocks.

It should be understood that both options provide that you need to find the most profitable option for investment.
And crypto, specific to bitcoin is what profitable to me. There could be a lot of money in altcoins too but it's hard to spot on so I'll be going with a slow but safer path.

Tough second day with a lot of draws and upsets T1 sweeping VP, Aster coming back to life now that White Album is playing and Team Undying performing better than i've expected.
And it's also a tough 3rd day and there's already one team that's out of the tournament. Thunder Predator is now out despite still having the last match against T1. They're now going home with $100k. If they've just won against Aster and EG they can still manage to have points to remain. One other team that's near to be out is another SA team, SG Esports.
No more lower bracket for them?
T1 did a great job today compare to the first 2 days of the tournament and 2 more wind to enter upper bracket, I’m still rooting for them but it seems like IG dominates the Group A. Well, good picks and a good strategy can win them agains the top teams, can’t wait to see games in Day 4.
