2561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 17, 2022, 04:33:59 PM
I just don't know what's in the mind of Casimero as he is now focusing on his youtube vlog instead of his career. I hope that this is just for fun to him to be able to enjoy while there's no word yet from Probellum.

Casimero, i think needs to have a PR manager to represent him and screen out the words that needs to be released to the press, not raw where there are some misunderstandings that causes chaos and could damage his boxing career.
Is he focused in vlogging right now? Maybe he can manage his time well and he's got schedules to follow. There's no actual schedule yet for his match, right?
And as well as he's still in recovery that's why he's just doing what he can do. On his case, since vlogging doesn't really require physical contact, he's good to do it at any time that he wishes.

He can do some youtube videos like that will not distract his training or recovery, he has been doing that before so I think there's no problem with that. I think it's one way of reaching his fans to gain more support, so it's helpful to his career as a boxer. Though he is a trash-talking champion he still has plenty of followers and being a vlogger, he was able to give an update about himself.
Yeah, he's been with it for a long time and that's no problem to him. It's not even going to distract him as he can do those videos within a few minutes or hours and get back on track for his trainings.
I don't really see it as a problem to him unlike the others that think it's vital for him and shouldn't enjoy things like making YouTube videos.
2562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payments decline as other cryptocurrencies grow on: January 17, 2022, 02:53:25 PM
On the other side, I am thinking bitcoin is not just a coin that can be used for payment, it can be used for asset too.
Bitcoin has been used as an asset and even a store of value for a long time. It's not just a speculation but it's the actual, the reality that many are using their bitcoin as their storage of wealth.
Besides, it's not only bitpay that has been the third party service out there that automatically converts bitcoin into fiat. If people are keeping their bitcoin, it only means that they don't want to spend it for purchases because altcoins are easier to spend that way.
2563  Economy / Economics / Re: Doctors fear health care collapse amid omicron surge on: January 17, 2022, 12:13:14 PM
Well, even the countries that has the best medical system can't avoid the surge of covid-19. These new covid straints are really infectious and despite having the vaccine and the booster shots, no one is going to escape the contraction of it.
That's what we can do right, protect ourselves and have a stronger immune system. Eating healthy foods and having at least some days for exercise to strengthen our bodies.

2565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey: Block is ‘officially building an open bitcoin mining system’ on: January 16, 2022, 08:02:00 PM
This is the reason why he stepped down as the CEO of twitter.

there is only so much twitter does. so being a CEO gets boring when there is not much 'new features' to add/change/maintain.
turning up each day and just say, for example "great work employee's keep doing what you're doing, see you tomorrow" is not really exciting. he wanted a challenge. bitcoin is still new and has lots of potential, something to be excited about
We don't know the perspective of a CEO and probably that's like that and there's more. It's true about the challenge and if this is going to be beneficial not only to the bigger investors and someone who's an average can mine soon at their homes then that's really the challenging part that he has brought to himself. Well, some CEOs are going to find it a vacation day after stepping down but after that, what's next? They're going to long for the time that they've been working hard with their past position and so Jack probably is.
2566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey: Block is ‘officially building an open bitcoin mining system’ on: January 16, 2022, 11:15:05 AM
This is the reason why he stepped down as the CEO of twitter. I still don't know how it's going to work and there's still a need for me to comprehend and understand the vision that he's going to do with the open system.
But if this is going to benefit the average joe people like me then that would be an interesting goal that he's trying to build up and focus with its development.
2567  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Fear Index at 10 on: January 16, 2022, 09:54:19 AM
It's better to see a lot are fearful than greedy. It's more fearful when we see that there are too many people that are greedy. Just always do what the whales are doing.
And if they're buying then do what they've been doing just like these bloody weeks, that's what they did at the start of the year. They're keeping as many bitcoins as they can and preparing of what's about to come as a bull.

An experienced bitcoin trader should already know how bitcoin movement happen that usually after the bull comes correction and the correction can keep dipping until investors starts to enter again. This was what happened during 2018 to 2020 . Whales may not determine market to move when it is already have not got to support level
Whales are even the ones determining their own position, whether they enter at the peak or at the lowest, they're always the market makers and knows when to enter.
It is what people must do, they just have to re-do what they've been doing as a signal to themselves. Also, it's not just about experienced traders but as well as experienced investors.
There’s a common saying that be more greedy while many are in fear, and looking at the index we are on extreme fear which can be a good opportunity to buy more. For sure whales are also doing great right now, they know what to do and buying is the only option for them, once the market recovers they are the ones who will earn more. We should always follow the whales and learn from this, a dump like this should be treated as an opportunity, the future is still bright for Bitcoin so it will rise again.
Yes, that's the famous Warren Buffett quote. And that's why when many are scared, it's the best time for you to think about buying. Be greedy when you see them scared.
And that's why I'm thinking of buying more and having a plan before the surge of recovery comes again. Maybe for a few altcoins and bitcoin as I'm seeing a few of them that I think will recover more than the dump that has came to them.
2568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Backer really important for a new project? on: January 16, 2022, 08:05:46 AM
You need engagement with your audience. If the likes are too few, you need someone who's very good in engaging with your community. Without the trust from the community, even if you have enough funds that would mean nothing. Because the investors are going to see that you're being engaged with your community and that's really money coming in to you guys if you know how to maintain and handle all of your audiences. Hire people with the expertise that you need and where do you think you lack of.
2569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Local league or international league on: January 15, 2022, 10:24:37 PM
What are the advantages and the disadvantage of the two of the matches to bet on, I know a lot of local football leagues on the betting site and they offer big odds and also the International league such as the Fifa world cup and lalliga, which of this will you advise a newbie to football getting to choose from?
It doesn't matter where you bet, as long as you know what you're betting for I think there's no problem at all. If you're a gambler that wants to be profitable.
You should check out where you can take advantage with the odds, if that's what you think and the best for you, you should stay there. If you're good with the local leagues, you should stay there and be profitable and vice versa.

Watch the show "Dragon's Den".
See how the developers are pitching their companies and products there just to get an investment from the dragons. That's what I like with that show because it's going to give you the idea on how to pitch with those investors that you're targeting to fund your crypto project.
Just the idea and the style of pitching you're going to get there.

You can reply on that question where there are those negative answers about bitcoin. But it's okay to just ignore them, we really can't please everybody but I understand the frustration you have upon reading those because they're probably misinforming your local folks about their answers.
It's not surprising that there are those against bitcoin that are professionals like professors, I've talked to one a few years ago and the same with a banker and they're all against it but I don't know right now, maybe they've changed hands since they've probably saw the bull run.
2574  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A KYC question on: January 14, 2022, 10:27:05 PM
You don't get my question, this token that I want to sell is only listed on coinsbit no where else, anyways I've submitted my KYC verification details but it's taking forever to process the verification, it's showing under process till now
When have you sent them your ID? just this day? If so, then it will really take a few days before you get the review. Usually it takes 1-3 days if you're not going to follow it up. If it didn't happen in 24 hours then expect it's likely within the next day. This is the normal process of most exchanges when it comes to KYC approval.
2575  Economy / Economics / Re: Sharing and helping others on: January 14, 2022, 09:28:14 PM
It is best to always let those who are interested to know the risk that they’re about to take. If you are not letting them know the risks that are involved, then they are definitely going to blame you later for it. Moreover, it’s not just about them blaming you later, it is very bad on your side if you are going to introduce cryptocurrency to someone, and not let them know the risk that they’re about to take. It would be bad of you to let them lose their money, knowing very well that it is not their plan.

But, when they are aware of the risk that they are about to take, they would tread carefully, and be very sure that they wouldn’t lose their money carelessly. And every money that they are investing, they would be very sure that it is something that they can afford to lose in the market.
It is what I do. I'm telling them the risk that's associated in buying bitcoin or when they start to invest in bitcoin. That's the honest thought that we should always tell them because many of the people that have shared about bitcoin to the others, they don't talk about the risk that it has.
It's not always with the profit taking and making money quickly with investing on it but, it's like a high risk, high reward investment that everyone has to accept and understand first before proceeding.
2576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do u think about gambling? on: January 14, 2022, 08:36:44 PM
It's becoming a threat if you don't know how to handle the excitement that you're generating as you gamble. There are gamblers that can't control themselves with the excitement that they have due to the fun sensation that it's making.
Gambling is as is what we see, someone can make money, someone can just have fun and that's it. I do agree at the last part of what you've said, it's always the reminder that everyone should only gamble with the amount they afford to lose.
2577  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin makes a loser a winner on: January 14, 2022, 12:58:09 PM
I think I've seen this somewhere but not in the forum. It's true that someone who's not aware of the potential of bitcoin will just sell it eventually without doing any effort.
But these days, for sure that if there will be tournaments again that will be having a prize of bitcoin, there will be participants that will flock that tournament and that's for sure. Yet this time, it's no longer a digit or two for the prize but decimals.
2578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming BAT in brave browser on: January 14, 2022, 10:52:21 AM
How does one use Brave browser to earn BAT? I've been using the browser for months now and I was told to verify before claiming rewards I don't know how to go about this anyone ?
The instructions are there and you have to make sure that you have turned off the "Auto-Contribute" because if it's ON, you're going to automatically contribute the amount of your rewards there. I've been using brave browser and thought that I'd be collecting a lot of BAT there but it seems that it's turned ON and I've been contributing to content creators automatically by having that unnoticing.

If you will use Uphold or Gemini wallet, you will need to verify your account to use their services. This is in order to withdraw your BAT. However, they already have their new Brave wallet, which I haven't tried yet. But I have gemini account where my brave is linked. The good thing about gemini is there is no withdrawal fee, like if you will transfer your BAT to binance to trade, they won't charge you anything but there is minimum withdrawal which is equivalent to $10 worth of BAT. While the Uphold, I'm reading that they are charging ridiculous fees.

And yes, you can turn off the Auto-contribute. Sometime they will get more than what you will receive. Smiley
I actually haven't took any of my share or collected reward there. Yes, they've got now a brave wallet and whichever is going to be more useful and easy to you, do it.
I hate that auto-contribute, it's too late for me to find it out that it's going to take off my collected BATs. I wasn't reading things about the browser until I was curious enough why there's no more reward to me left.

Where do we get these titles for being a bitcoin investor? A heavyweight? Come on, he's no different from us that gives his insights about the market. He's obviously telling what he had also told for a long time.
There's the big chance that bitcoin could be the future money but it's more likely becoming a store of value than a currency.
