2401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price goes down as Russia begins Ukraine invasion on: February 25, 2022, 07:51:54 PM
the instability of the situation, worsening politics made the owners panic so that some wanted to secure their bitcoins and some took the opportunity to add to their collection.
so don't panic quickly to see the movement of the graph decreases slowly
keep holding your coins to 0
Holding coins to zero?
I guess holding right now is still a good move despite the geopolitics that has been happening which is impacting the market through the owners. Many have panicked but also many didn't. It's all about the confirmation of the market that makes every one of us react depending on the situation. When the war startled, the market crashed but just after a few days, the market showed how strong it is.
2402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this for real? on: February 25, 2022, 04:28:45 PM
The question should be, what's next after banning PoW? They'll ban bitcoin? How are they going to implement that ban for all of the miners that are designated in different parts of the world?
That doesn't make sense even if they impose any ban for bitcoin and for pow. They just can't cover the whole world with that type of policy. So any ban that happens for bitcoin, it's just for an specific place but in other places, it doesn't have much impact.
2403  Other / Archival / Re: Gambling in Wartime ⚽ 🏈 🏀 🎾 🎰📈🚀💥 on: February 24, 2022, 11:42:16 PM
do you think ongoing sporting events will be postponed (damn.. I have a lot of betting plans on European leagues)
I have never thought of it but if the location of the event is near on their grounds, there's a big chance that they'll let it pass first so it's a yes.
A big chance that on going tournaments and events for sports are likely to be postponed and delayed due to this war that has happened between Ukraine and Russia.
2404  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: February 24, 2022, 05:46:14 PM
China is an ally to Russia so basically, Russia is doing them the favor and is really just waiting for any signal to whatever they're up to. As for economic sanctions, Russia has already taken the consequence while if it's for China. I doubt it that the US and its allies can put sanction to China.
With the last news I've seen about China and Taiwan, China's airforce have been rotating on the sides of Taiwan and they're also likely to get on them at any moment.
Russia and China are allies even Russia may receives sanction China for sure will be there to help. I don’t think China will ever received sanctions look what happened in Hongkong before despite what happened in Hongkong and Taiwan theres no news of sactions said to happen in them. China is just carefully watching on how other countries will react to Putin's's Decision of war. Hopefully this war in Ukraine and Taiwan will stop already as it affects not just the innocent people but also the stocks and crypto markets.
Yes, they're like sworn brothers so even if Russia receives an economic sanction. Their brother is at the top of the chain now in terms of economy and power.
China is the bully and likely the most powerful and that's why whichever country they're in, no one seems to stop them. So, for these countries that are being bullied by them, their main choice is to be friendly to them.

2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MEXICAN SENATOR PLANS TO INTRODUCE BILL TO MAKE BITCOIN LEGAL TENDER on: February 24, 2022, 01:32:18 PM
I guess that most countries are going there. It will be like a domino impact after this happens and becomes a law. But while it's still a proposal and bill, there will be lawmakers that might be against it. But if someone like the president of Mexico steps in and is eager to pass this bill.
Well, there will be a huge impact and it can happen. If not, there's no need to be pushy on it. They can just simply legalize cryptocurrencies and even bitcoin isn't a legal tender there, it's already a win for them.
2407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Southampton football club and Sportsbet.io launches an interesting hunt on: February 23, 2022, 10:35:49 PM
I won't join but good luck to whoever will hunt that 1 btc. True that it's a good and interesting way of advertising one with another.
I think we're going to see now these type of advertising just like what's with the super bowl and Coinbase has did. It is what I've thought of after reading that it's about treasure hunt and qr codes.
2408  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Regulator in Canada Warns Crypto Exchanges Not to Promote Self-Custodial Wallets on: February 23, 2022, 05:06:51 PM
That's the power of centralization and surely Canadian government is doing everything they can for those people of their interest. They can put sanction for anyone that would step in their way if they'll go that far but, it's likely that they have no option that they'll just have to bear with it and follow what regulation they would tell them. Thus, this is an event that everybody is going to look for on how each sides are going to face and counter any sue that is likely to happen.
2409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn English Alphabets with cryptocurrency on: February 23, 2022, 03:36:13 PM
My kid has already memorized the alphabets and I think by next year, she'll be able to give examples of words from the alphabet. I'm not sure if that would be a good idea for her to learn that early. Many of those wouldn't be there anymore.
I'll stick to the normal alphabet examples that we're watching together like A is for Apple and so on. She's memorizing that easy but too bad that she's got a fever now, dad duties and a weakness that every father will relate.
2410  Economy / Economics / Re: OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ? on: February 23, 2022, 02:05:32 PM
We have just waited long term I think the market will go moon soon USA will pass a law very soon.
We know that there's something positive to happen for the long term. But it's about the market, it's a cycle. The greener days are likely to be done already and if we ever see that it keeps going green, it's like the tail of it which is about to end. As for a law? What is it all about?
USA making crypto legal? There's no need for that particular law, maybe an announcement from Biden that they're going to be a crypto-friendly would turn the event. However, I don't think that he'll do that.
2411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: February 23, 2022, 12:09:49 PM
Big lesson learnt here  Grin futures trading is too dangerous for professional traders not to talk of newbies that know so less about trading
It is dangerous even those that are good in trading and has been doing it for many years, they're also careful. Much better for the newbies to avoid it because it's not for them.

futures is a perfect example of gambling, the risk is too high honestly.
That's certainly is a gamble and they should put it on their minds that making money there is quick and losing money as well. High risk, high reward but it's more intense than the market's volatility.
2412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 08:18:47 AM
No matter how high crypto coins go bear market is unavoidable it's just the way the market survives, many people are brainwashed with present market condition that they already forget what bear market is, no amount of money can stop bear market from happening, don't say I don't warn you be prepared.
It's the two way around. Bears and bulls are inevitable. But it should sink in to everyone's mind that when we came from a bull run, the bears are coming next.
In that case, you're preparing yourself from the upcoming possible bear market which is going to devastate a lot of hands and portfolios. It's going to shake the market and will leave those who are tough and has those diamond/strong hands.

Maybe this problem only with LTC, another crypto I didn't use.
I want to hear official reply here or in ticket why it happend.
If I get reply I'll share here.
It will take you time to receive some reply. Sadly, that's the same concern that was just resolved recently when LL was back but it seems that the hot wallet was empty again.
It needs to be filled manually again but if there's no one that would fill it, you have to wait again as there might be a lot of withdrawals that are on queue and not only you waiting for it.
2414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 21, 2022, 08:57:13 PM
Have you heard that some people gamble for fun and not necessarily to make money?
Yes.

I find it hard to believe completely because who doesn't like to make some more money even if it is not needed.
It's because they already have money and there's no reason for them to feel regret if they lose. It's just really all about having fun and the money they have in abundance is what they use for the fun they look for.

If you knew the exact sum you were going to loose gambling, and you are the type that they say " gambles for fun", will you find it fun loosing that money still? will you return another day in awareness of how much you will loose and still want to loose for fun?
There will still be the feeling of regret if I'm that type of person who has no problem in gambling. And I'll definitely be back to try to recover it and at the same time have fun again. But if your resources are limited and you're still okay losing money, the result might be overwhelming because you may not know someday that you don't have funds left anymore to gamble.
2415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the safest coin to stake? on: February 21, 2022, 07:45:38 PM
Wouldn't it be a stable coin like usdc or usdt?
Yes, it's safe to stake those stable coins. But the question is on which platform it's going to be safe? Choose the platform where you'll stake those stable coins.

Staking on several coin is sometimes not the main choice but when the price drops have to stake without any other option except holding, now I loss much with zilliqia coin and holding is main purpose beside still have staking after Binance exchange support for Zil coin. But if you not loss here is not good earning give by Zil coin for staking, under 20% APY I think is very small reward for staking coin, maybe you can see on Binance have several coin give above 50% reward as staking.
IMHO, it's not a good choice to stake for so many coins. You either choose one with a great amount to stake or you just hold it. Everyone who knows the idea of staking would agree that if you're going to stake a small amount, you better hold it. And if you're too much diversified in staking and you have a lot of coins in there, you'll still earn a little from each of it but I don't find it worth it even if you combine the profits you're making for all of them.
2416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Crash in The Next 2 Weeks? on: February 21, 2022, 06:21:40 PM
Just because somebody wrote it on Twitter or any social media platform, you should believe it. But it's a speculation that nobody knows for sure what's in it to happen. But basically, when times like this comes and everyone is likely waiting for the recovery or kind of bored because of the motion of the market. They're looking for something which makes it slow on its move and like that tweet says, that can be a factor this week or by next week. Still, ends up no one knows what it will do to the market.
2417  Economy / Economics / Re: Which business profit model do you prefer? on: February 21, 2022, 11:12:51 AM
1. Diversification of investment projects
2. Decisions that are not tied to any location. Those. "cloudy"
3. Mandatory profit taking with the conversion of 30% of the profit in fiat into a multi-currency set (dollar, euro, Swiss franc).
4. There was an idea to transfer about 10% into banking gold.
Such a distribution of investments and profits, as for me, allows you to play it safe from most of the risks.
This is a different type of model but this is mostly for the investments. Although business and investment are two different source of making money.
The actual strategy that you've mentioned are good factors to be considered by an aspiring investor that he should diversify his investments. And at the same time, going with some businesses should also be considered.
2418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin revolution on: February 21, 2022, 09:31:42 AM
Even without the Government's intervention, doesn't this just look obviously scamming to anyone that would have wanted to invest in this? We know that Bitcoin and other crypto investments have given good gains, me investing by myself in cryptocurrencies and making a profit is well different from me investing my money in a third-party investment with outrageous profits even though we know people will continue to invest in this due to greed.
It's been nearly two years and the website is still existing. This scam is still there and there could be more newbies that will victimize by it. And this isn't all about us.
But it's about the newbies that they're targeting. Those folks that are really new to bitcoin and are not aware of this scamming tactic that they've been doing.
This is not new though and this tactic is also being done by scammers in fiat but still, there have been people that fall for it.
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost on how the NFT works on: February 20, 2022, 11:44:05 PM
Good day guys, this might or might not be the right place to post this, but as an enthusiast of crypto, and a newbie here too,I think I might just find some sot of knowledge here on NFT.first my knowledge of bitcoin is minimal thou, but am highly interested on how nft works..over the last couple of months,I have read people selling their work of art, some pieces and making bulk of money, iven snoop dog cashed out on NFt recently..so if any have a good idea of how this works should enlighten me please.
This is the right section.
As you've explained, you have already understood the process of NFTs that are into artworks but it can also be in other forms. That's all you need to do, mint your artwork as an NFT and sell it in the market like opensea.
You'll just have to wait for someone to bid or buy it. There's no deeper understanding on it, even just the basic knowledge, you've already understood how it works.
2420  Economy / Economics / Re: Proposed Cryptocurrency ban in Russia on: February 20, 2022, 10:45:44 PM
This event took place on February 18th. Link to the profile resource https://www.rbc.ru/finances/18/02/2022/620f75b69a7947762be3a633 (Google translate translates perfectly)

The Bank of Russia has prepared a bill to ban the issuance and organization of circulation of private digital currency in the country.
The draft law provides for a ban on the organization of the issuance of cryptocurrency, the issuance and organization of its circulation, as well as the dissemination of information about this. The project also prohibits banks and other financial market participants from owning private digital currencies. This ban applies to private cryptocurrencies issued both using Russian infrastructure and issued abroad.
This is clarifies with what's the proposed ban. It's for those projects that will build private cryptocurrencies that will step in their country. There's the division and difference from understanding it generally that they'll ban crypto as proposed and with the recent one that they'll make it legal.
It's a step that everyone has to understand that we shouldn't make any conclusion while we're still in question of what are the actual information that we should extract.
