3361  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign rule - minimum of 20 posts must be in Gambling :D on: February 09, 2020, 05:15:33 AM
When you are familiar with sports like Basketball, Football/Soccer, MMA, Boxing, and other sports that are mostly discussed in the gambling section, it should be easy to meet the 20 posts per week requirement. If you also bet on these sports, then that's better.

Alternatively, they can also change that rule and some already suggested to reduced it. They can also make the 20 quality posts as optional and just add incentive to whoever makes it.

In one of the previous campaign i've joined their requirement on the gambling section was 25-30 posts minimum. Eventually there was a discussion that came up about the specific campaign rule I remember even the moderators stepped in on it then changes was applied to the campaign reducing the post requirement by half. If the same thing goes with this campaign then we'll surely see the rule getting changed by the manager.
I'm not aware of this case. If you still have a link or if you still remember the name of the campaign, please post it.

3363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 09, 2020, 04:08:51 AM
Anyone able to watch the last few seconds of the Blazers and Jazz game? It's really amazing how the three referees missed a clear goal tending. You think they messing with the point spread?

I just found out that Isiah Thomas, after getting acquired from Washington on the three-team trade, was also waived by the Clippers. Poor guy, playing alongside Kahwi and PG would have been his best chance of getting a ring Grin
3364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 08, 2020, 11:51:44 AM
~
- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.
I think this is the only possible way for someone to lose interest in gambling. Some people doesn't gamble because they simply do not have any interest in it. The amount of money someone has doesn't really matter when he/she already has a gambler's mindset or has been involved/addicted in gambling. Some might slow down due to lack of funds but the urge to gamble is still there.
3365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Trust Wallet Safe ? How to get Private Keys ? on: February 08, 2020, 11:41:02 AM
Thanks to all,
if i store "USDCoin/USDC" in "Trust" wallet for few days but not more than 30 to 50$ (as i do not want to store large amount for security wise),
but next day i heard news "Trust" Wallet  totally disappear, can i movie USDC (or other crypto) on any other wallet with Recovery Seeds ?
It's not clear to me what you are trying to say. I guess you are asking if you can import your Trust Wallet recovery phrase to another wallet and access your funds there. If that is what you mean, yes you can. Just make sure that the new wallet you are planning to use also supports your USDC or other coins/token.

I know that the Government of India has many problems against cryptos, so your exchange is not welcome in India and I also know that in the USA you must have license and be careful with of the SEC. Do you have license?

Also, I don't know what other traders think but a leverage up to 100x seems crazy to me. I wouldn't touch it. How did you get to know about this exchange? Are you familiar with how leverage trading works? If not, you should probably choose other exchanges.
3367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Trust Wallet Safe ? How to get Private Keys ? on: February 08, 2020, 10:18:32 AM
Trust wallet is also a non-custodial wallet which means you are in control of your recovery phrase and your private keys. That also means the safety of the wallet entirely depends on you. No one else except you has access to your wallet and funds unless you personally give your keys/phrase to them.

On how to export your private keys, here's what I saw in their FAQ:
Your private keys (all derived from your recovery phrase) never leave the Trust Wallet app. The only way to get them out is when you reveal the recovery phrase. So handle it with great care!

To access the Trust wallet recovery phrase
Settings > Wallets > select wallet and tap on the 3 dots besides it > show recovery phrase

3368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 delays thread on: February 08, 2020, 09:33:52 AM
For those of you who are lazy to read the article and went firectly to the comment section

Quote
Phase 0 will certainly launch in 2020. Audits are out and testnets are getting stronger every week,” Ryan said in the discussion thread. “I don't see a reality in which Phase 0 does not launch in 2020
Quote
Regardless of the launch date, Phase 0 and Phase 1 are 99 and 90 percent complete, respectively, Ryan said. Phase 1 will link ETH holders who have staked their assets to the Beacon Chain, joining the ribs to the backbone of the new network.

They've been working for this in the last three/four years (I'm not sure)? Few more months of delays doesn't mean much now as they are getting closer and closer.

Bitcoin has gone forwards well without ETFs and ETH will go forwards well without 2.0 upgrade. ~
This is not even the right comparison mate. ETH will go forward well without ethereum ETF too for sure but it will NOT without the ethereum 2.0 upgrade. ETFs and network upgrades are two unrelated things.

Does Ethereum 2.0 needs approval too from SEC just like how Bitcoin ETF is?

I still don't understand why this is taking too long.
I thought it was really January of 2020 where they will start it.

ETH 2.0 does not need approval from SEC. Like what I said above, it's only a network upgrade and doesn't have anything to do with regulators like ETFs.

From the articles I've read, they never gave any assurance that it will launched on this date or that date. They were making an estimate and that means it could change at any time.

The article has this to say regarding the further delay
Quote
the Eth 2.0 team said the network won’t launch until three clients can run testnets consistently for a minimum of eight weeks.

I'm not a developer but I can understand the reason why they would rather delay it further than launch it with a lot of vulnerabilities. That's why testing is so important and it could take longer time depending on the results.
3369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to mine all BTC someday? on: February 08, 2020, 07:42:35 AM
~ Unnecessary? Bitcoin will always be necessary.
We don't know that. With some articles estimating all bitcoins will be mined some time in 2140, I bet even Satoshi isn't confident that bitcoin will remain relevant/necessary in the next century.

We have to get rid of the third parties, but we're only providing them more control over us..
The people's concensus could also change over time. Right now, there is a strong movement to reclaim control and privacy but we also don't know if that will still be the case in a few decades.

Unless you have a crystal ball of course.

~
What does the last block mined have to do with the necessity of Bitcoin? My point was that it's going to always be necessary because third parties will only become more in control and there's always going to be at least a handful of people willing to escape from their chains.
I see where you are coming from now.
From what I understood of the OP's question, he's asking whether bitcoin will become unnecessary as cryptocurrency. That's where my reply to your "always necessary" came from.

Quote
I don't see a STRONG movement to reclaim control and privacy, otherwise we'd see significant anti-KYC and anti-taxation movements.
Ah yeah, I should have used growing instead.

Quote
In a few decades, things will only get worse. I can't imagine a future where we'd have more privacy than we have today or more privacy than we had 15 years ago. It's going to be worse because of technology.
I don't know. It could go either way depending on how people will respond to these technologies.
3370  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Cooldown for the second locking thread on: February 08, 2020, 07:21:35 AM
~ I feel annoyed when saw some people locked their topic and unlocked just for updating/bumping the thread with spam and locked it again, it's make members couldn't post in their thread.
I think you are the one who needs some cooling down. It is within their privilege to lock/unlock and update/bump their own post.
You think their posting spam? Report.

I don't know what he thought of locking->unlocking->locking of his every single post, he was misusing with the forum features.
Is he really misusing? I don't know any other purpose for locking thread than to prevent anyone from responding on that particular topic. The reason for every OP might be different but I think the purpose is the same.

Since his topic is not low quality or bad topic, report to moderator is not the best option in this case.
Having a cooldown time is also not the best option. If you can't ignore users doing this lock/unlock, opening a REEEEEEEEEEEE: thread is the next best option.

Heads up lang para sa mga Trezor users at sa mga may planong bumili:

Never ever leave your hardware wallet sa kung saan-saan lalo na kung nasa labas kayo. Bakit? Dahil may nakitang vulnerability.

3372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful of the fake airdrops/giveaways on facebook on: February 08, 2020, 05:16:25 AM
Those links that are in the form of bit.ly are very dangerous. Someone who is aware of internet safety will not click a link like that.
~
To be clear, link shorteners such as bitly or tinyurl aren't dangerous. They are only meant to shorten long links. It just so happens that many scammers online also uses them to temporarily hide their phishing links.

Let's all wish that these new people in the crypto circle will never allow their greediness to bite these scams.
Some will, some won't. We can't really control what they do but if we can save some of them from falling victim by reporting all these scams, then we've succeeded somehow.
3373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 08, 2020, 05:00:50 AM
Poor guy had some tweets and seems heartbroken  Cry
It's all business in the NBA

~ I even think he will become a franchise player of Pistons or his trade will just be considered once he reached his veteran status or so-called post-prime. NBA is really business and Drummond already knows that. It's just that he can't believe it will happen to him despite his loyalty to the franchise.
Well, he realized it quickly after the news. There's no doubt that he is a productive player for the Pistons but no offense to Drummond because I just don't see him being their franchise player. He has been overshadowed by the likes of Giannis and Embiid in the past years. He had his time to showcase his ability to lead the team but I guess time run out. Was it last season when Blake Griffin carried the Pistons team into the playoff and played until the end even though he had an injured leg?

Look out for the Warriors in the free agency this summer. They will be splashing out some cash to support the returning splash brothers. I'm pretty sure many stars would still want to be playing with those two despite the GS team having the worst record (so far) this season.

~ have you done reach on many projects on twitter? ~
lol yeah  i see those but have you also check telegram  ? ~
Yes, there are plenty of fake giveaways already on twitter, telegram, discord, and youtube. You can also see most of them being reported here in boards like scam accusation and beginners (as pointed out by TheUltraElite) I posted this because of that method used by scammers (I'm referring to step 3 in OP). I haven't seen it done in any other platforms yet and I don't think it can be done.
3375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Music streaming services which accept crypto? on: February 07, 2020, 10:51:58 AM
Your post reminded me of a project I promoted before, it's called Beatzoin. Upon checking on them again, I found out that they've already launched their music &video platform which is Vibravid.

Quote
VibraVid is a decentralized Music and Video platform that rewards both users and creators in an ecosystem that uses BeatzCoin as its native currency. Creators can Upload, store, market and sell their content to users with the added the benefits of being able to crowdfund and sell merchandise and event tickets directly to their subscribers and fans.

A quick look at their FAQ and you'll see these basic informations
Quote
If you are content creator the moment a user clicks on pay to view content a transaction is executed directly to your wallet.
Quote
There are a variety of ways to earn on the VibraVid platform. They include the following:
  • Sales of Downloads or Streams
  • Tips from users
  • Crowd Funding
  • Incentives provided directly provided from VibraVid
  • As users you can participate in bounty campaigns created by content creators to get views/listens. You will be rewarded in BeatzCoin for those.

They've got some users already and few artists on board.
3376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO LINKED MERCATOX TO METAMASK on: February 07, 2020, 09:26:06 AM
~ then I asked the customer service and they answered that the contract address had been swapped.
What was the token that you sent to Mercatox? I think the reason why it didn't appear there was because you sent an old token. I mean the ticker would be the same but the contract address is now different. Better check with the team that gave you those tokens and see if there did a token swap. Linking Metamask to Mercatox won't help you solve your problem if that was the case. It's impossible anyway.
3377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful of the fake airdrops/giveaways on facebook on: February 07, 2020, 08:20:45 AM
^ True that.

Greed and ignorance are the mains reason why there will always be victims to these kind of scams. It is sometimes disappointing and tiring to keep on repeating these warnings but that's the only thing we can do aside from reporting those phishing sites and scammers unfortunately.
3378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Be careful of the fake airdrops/giveaways on facebook on: February 07, 2020, 07:59:48 AM
Be careful of the crypto-related facebook pages that we follow because some scammers are imitating them.

Here is how they do it to make it look legit:
  • Create a fake facebook page
  • Gather all followers of the legit page
  • They will share the profile photo of followers in the fake page and say that they won something (see image below)

The link provided is a fake website (do not visit)
Code:
https://sites.google.com/site/exmrfdnairdropprograms/

The "Get 2500 EXMR" will lead you to a fake MEW and the objective is for you to submit your PK (do not visit website and/or enter private key)
Code:
https://airdrop-programs-erc2.000webhostapp.com/myetherwallet.html?/access-my-wallet

They can copy any popular facebook page that's why we need to double or even triple check the legitimacy of these airdrops/giveaways. Please help in reporting the phishing sites mentioned above to https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_general/

For those interested, you can also report the fake facebook page

3379  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Fake Airdrops on Facebook on: February 07, 2020, 07:46:43 AM

Code:
https://sites.google.com/site/exmrfdnairdropprograms/

Yung "Get 2500 EXMR" ay papupuntahin ka sa fake MEW at ang objective talaga nila ay makuha ang iyong PK (do not visit website and/or enter private key)
Code:
https://airdrop-programs-erc2.000webhostapp.com/myetherwallet.html?/access-my-wallet
