341  Economy / Auctions / Re: Top Performing Faucet (DailySatoshis.com) Domain + Script + DB on: October 02, 2015, 09:43:15 PM
those 160k  page views are per day or from beginning till now ?
That is from the launch date sep 11th til Sept 30th. Volume was low at the beginning as with most sites. Yesterday there was 12,800 page views.
342  Economy / Auctions / Re: Top Performing Faucet (DailySatoshis.com) Domain + Script + DB on: October 02, 2015, 02:05:05 AM
Do you mind sharing what the upkeep costs are for your website?

At the current reward level its approx 0.017 btc per day. This is before deducting any ad revenue, so the cost is less/none/profit depending on the day and amount of clicks.

Quote
If 2 wallets are held on the same system

What you are describing sounds like a paypal, or even coinbase. These systems rely on a central party that is in control of the balances for everyone. It's basically just a number in a database and they add "BTC" when it's not actually BTC you are moving around. The number represents BTC but they transfer funds internally or "off-chain". With this additional convenience comes loss of control.

 - Domain:  DailySatoshis.com (excellent domain name)
 - Registrar: NameCheap

There are currently 104 sites linking in to DailySatoshis.com
Perfect turn-key solution to anyone looking to become a faucet master or to add to their existing faucets.

What makes this faucet so popular? First of all, the rewards are competitive. Second of all, it's was hand-coded uniquely entirely by myself to include a fun number guessing game every round. There is no other faucet that uses this script as it I wrote it myself.

Stats for September (site didn't go live until Sept 11th):
 - 7,000+ Unique
 - 27K Sessions
 - 15% Bounce Rate
 - 104 Sites linking in
 - 6 pages and 4 minutes per session

Currently monetizing with adsense successful click-thru rate. Unable to disclose figures due to adsense TOS.
I am selling as I a already have many projects going on including my youtube channel. This combined with my everyday life, full-time job, wife, etc, maintaining the faucet has become a lot more work than I anticipated.
What work? Constantly refilling the faucetbox balance, changing captchas from time to time to prevent bots, updating affiliate links, etc.

Remember when there were taxi ads for that pesky "Internet" thingie in the 90s?
Me neither.

Notice that it is Bitmain doing the advertising.
Anyways I'd rather see taxi cab ads as opposed to receiving those pesky AOL floppy disks and CDs in the mail.  Cheesy
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: October 01, 2015, 01:23:19 AM

Articles of Org are filed when a corporation begins. The corporation Gemini began well before today. This is likely just an updated filing or a new filing for a state that they were previously not registered. Not big news in my opinion.
348  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Referral Bonuses Have Increased From $25 to $75! on: October 01, 2015, 01:21:19 AM
Coinbase changed another time its referral program, now pay both 10$ (10 for the new user, and 10 for the old user).

That's lame, they just started the $75 promotion and they are already abandoning it??
I guess the $10 each is an okay idea, that way I can tell someone that we both profit. Still a big change from $75 to $20 ($10 each).
349  Other / Meta / Re: What's the deal with bitcoin.com? on: October 01, 2015, 12:57:14 AM
I think bitcoin.com is a pishing site.

If you write bitcoin.com, it will be changed to bitcoin.org(at least happened in the past)
How is it a phishing site? Huh  It's owned by Roger Ver.  it's pretty much the same as this forum, but a lot more quiet Tongue

I tried to sign up a few times, but it never once sent me the confirmation email. Sad

I signed up, and it worked fine for me.
A lot less traffic than bitcointalk which is to be expected since it's new. But in the longrun I think it will become more popular, since it is bitcoin.com.  This is where newbies will flock to, I'm speculating.
350  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: September 30, 2015, 12:51:49 PM

Yea that's pretty out there. Not the first time I've seen someone hint that we are in the lull similar to 2 years ago before the run up. I don't think it will repeat with such accuracy, but I wouldn't mind if it did Wink
351  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Referral Bonuses Have Increased From $25 to $75! on: September 30, 2015, 12:21:31 PM

Has anybody tried this? Is this thing legit?

[/b]
Anyway anyone get his $75 from coinbase?

As for the referral bonus, I don't think anyone already claimed that $75 as of this time.

Thanks, good to know they are actually paying out.
Did you receive an email notification regarding it, or did you have to sign into your account and find out on your own?
352  Other / Meta / What's the deal with bitcoin.com? on: September 30, 2015, 04:22:21 AM
Is it affiliated with bitcointalk.org? The topics and sections are exact copies of this site. Are the sites merging? I created an account, but wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a connection between the two sites or if they are completely separate.
353  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: coindice 3.5 help on: September 30, 2015, 02:06:48 AM
The coindice script has been known to be a pile of crap. The code was leaked and has been changed and is not considered safe to use.
If you can't code one yourself i suggest you look into creating a dice site with moneypot's API. They handle the bankroll and heavy lifting so it's a good place for beginners to get started. There's the untitled-dice script by Dan that will make getting started, super easy.

354  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin API accept+automatic payment system without max. req. limits? on: September 30, 2015, 01:56:04 AM
Accept and make hundreds of payouts every hour automatically?

What exactly are you trying to build that is going send out hundreds of payouts every hour? You should think about grouping the payments into batches and use blockchain.info's send multiple feature if that's a possibility for you. If not, I have been a fan of block.io lately, not sure of their API requests off the top of my head, but they have been better than bc.info.   Ultimately for creating something with this much volume, you should really consider running your own node with digitalocean and then handle all the requests with bitcoind RPC.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you think 1 Bitcoin will be worth in 2020? on: September 30, 2015, 01:30:43 AM
bitcoin: 10k-100k
ltc:1k-10k
mintcoin: 1-2 dollar
doge: 1-2 dollar
novacoin:$100-$1000
gold: 10k-100k
silver:1k-10k
dollar: .05c-.10c in today's money
taco: 20 dollars
gas: 150 dollars/gallon

Man, a $20 taco? That better not have any chewy pieces of carne if pay $20! Also there better be extra guacamole... Mmm I just made myself hungry.
The above table is an outlook on a failed US dollar. If the inflation went this quick the US would be in serious trouble. Like better have bullets and large supply of water trouble.
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we entering a bull market again? on: September 30, 2015, 01:14:19 AM
There is currently no trend. The downward trend that we had previously, where there would be major drop offs every few weeks has ended. Now we are moving sideways. The bbands are tightening as we continue with little volatility. Looking at the 1 week chart the candles are making a frying pan bottom which typically preludes a pop upwards. But honeybadger don't care about candlestick analysis, bitcoin is going to do whatever the fuck it wants!  Grin
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: poll: will there ever be another run-up ? on: September 29, 2015, 12:24:14 PM
I think it's pretty much guaranteed as long as bitcoin doesn't fail. The tricky part is when this will happen. It could be in a month or in a few years. That's why it's good to always have some BTC tucked away just in case Wink

How much should we have?   hahahahaha    Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Haha! *inside joke from another thread for those who are wondering
I say at least 1 BTC even the poor folks out there should be able to afford 1 BTC in this 2 year long bear market.
358  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poll. What will you do? on: September 29, 2015, 03:21:35 AM
I'd withdrawal .08 and play with the remaining 0.02. Either way you are up and even if you lose the 0.02 you have turned your original deposit amount into 8x. But I'd leave some on the site so you can play, I mean the reason you went to the site was to have some fun I assume?
