341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 75 LTC should I hold or sell. If sell what should I buy ? on: November 24, 2017, 10:52:51 AM
the only thing which is good for long term holding and gives the most profit is bitcoin the rest of them will be missing opportunities for big profit.

as you can see LTC is rising but barely.
other altcoins at the same time, the small coins that is, are getting pumped every day and rise 3x-5x and that is a huge profit you are missing out on.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is is still a good time to Invest in Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2017, 01:27:54 PM
if you search the title of this topic word by word you can find at least a dozen topics asking the same question, maybe even hundreds of them. and if you pay attention to the dates of each of these topics you can see they have been asked from early days when bitcoin price was much lower than $100 and they will probably ask the same question when price is $100,000 too. and the answer is always YES.

344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x CANCELLED and Parity issue! on: November 09, 2017, 02:18:15 PM
this is terrible for ethereum. right now their developers are a shame on the whole cryptocurrencies and the worst part is that they have gotten paid a lot of money for doing what they were supposed to do and are failing to do it properly. i am wondering where did the 72 million ETH premine (currently worth $21.6 billion) went if not to developers to do their jobs properly?
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happend with BTC? BTC is going down under 7000 USD. on: November 09, 2017, 02:01:59 PM
the last 24 hours is purely whale manipulation of the market. they first got the insider information about the SegWit2x thing so they started pumping the price (you can see the big bitcoin market can not longer move up that much anymore with manipulation) so price went up to $7888 (~10% rise). then the news was released and the dumping and shorting began (again manipulation and again small effects) back to $7100 range.

snipped
I have more than 40 BTC now, And I am losing my money now.
I bought BTC at 7500 USD.....

Hold or not..

well you just repeated the same sentence about "bitcoin is falling" 4 times which shows you don't know the first thing about bitcoin and you are panicked right now. you will sleep better if you sell...
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: SW2x cancelation will crash Bitcoin on: November 09, 2017, 01:46:26 PM
i was thinking about possibility of some correction now that there is talk of SegWit2x cancellation but now that i have read this topic and also based on kwukduck's past history i am starting to think that other topic in this board saying "$10,000 by the end of 2017 is guaranteed" is not looking silly anymore. so thanks kwukduck Wink

and thinking more about it, i can see how that can be possible since nobody is in panic mode because of the fork and possibility of any split is not 100% eliminated.
347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Setting up your Bitcoin Buying Price on: November 09, 2017, 01:35:13 PM
in most exchanges any field you fill will automatically fill in the rest for you. you just have to give it a price then either the amount you want to buy or the amount of money you want to buy with.
in your case since you want to buy with $200 you just put the buy price to $6500 then set the total to $200 and the system will fill the amount you will receive for you. and that would be 0.03070769BTC assuming trading fee is 0.2%

or you can set the price to $6500 and then set the amount you want to buy to 0.03BTC and the system will give you the total automatically and that would be $195.39 assuming fee is 0.2%

there is also this thing exchanges have called fat buy or something like that which buys at market price, you can NOT set your own price for this. it automatically  chooses the highest price and buys the amount you want with that.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: keep my BTC in the Ledger Nano S during Segwit fork, or not? on: November 09, 2017, 01:20:31 PM
since keeping your bitcoin in Ledger Nano can be a safe choice and also since you control the private keys that means you can potentially get any new coin that is created because of a fork too. (bitcoin gold, segwit2x, ....) as long as you have coins before the fork.

Segwit 2x is gone … So you can't get any coins.
it is not gone 100% though.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves will kill Ethereum? on: November 08, 2017, 04:14:21 PM
i don't think anything can  kill ethereum that easily because of the big manipulators behind it with lots of money to throw at it. you can see that recently ETH was hacked again and millions of dollars worth was lost. and while people were panic dumping the coin the manipulators were placing huge buy walls to prevent the crash. and they successfully minimized the damage so far but it is there.

there are a lot of other similar projects including Waves that does things so much better than ethereum. they will become big soon and it may be hard but ETH will eventually die because of all the issues it has. you can't keep a broken thing alive forever.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be ware of the airdrop forms on: November 08, 2017, 04:01:52 PM
these are not airdrops, they are money making machines. they create some crap ICO or something like that and do a little give away (they have lots of free tokens out of thin air, giving away something free for free!) but at the same time they gather lots of information from crypto users such as their Email addresses. they even sell these Emails down the line as lists to many buyers!

and the solution is always easy. that is why throwaway AKA temporary email was created. you make one, receive what you want and throw it away.
351  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prediction on: November 08, 2017, 03:51:25 PM
in 2017 bitcoin increase value almost 700%, now prices between $7000 and $7300, what month do you think bitcoin will increase value till $10.000?

from curret price which is around $7500 to your target of $10,000 is only a 33% rise and bitcoin had that kind of rise and fall in a couple of days in the past so the answer to your question is from 1 week to a couple of months (January 2018 tops) is a good estimate of when that target can be reached.

although this is assuming nothing will change. there may be another Japan pretty soon which causes $20K to be reached in less than a month.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Hacked - AGAIN! on: November 08, 2017, 03:45:26 PM
ethereum is not an official "shit-show". it is not even half a year from the last time it was hacked and millions of dollars were stolen by two different groups of hackers at the same time. and now this?

and nothing is possible with it anymore. the official client is now impossible to use. you can never sync it because it is super slow and the blockchain is gigantic. it is A LOT bigger than bitcoin's blockchain and it is growing 10 times faster. the parity is even worse with all these bugs it is now additionally weak!
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It seems that altcoins are on the rise on: November 07, 2017, 11:22:37 AM
this is only the market correcting itself after a long and big dump. you can call it a correction too but many call this a dead cat bounce.
the main characteristic of this movement is the fact that there was a huge drop then a sharp recovery when price came back up but the size was small compared to the drop and it will finish with the drop continuing after the small recovery.
you can also call this a bull trap.

i would be extra careful when investing in such situations.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to start investing with 1$? on: November 07, 2017, 11:06:21 AM
Get a job.

This is purely an experiment with cryptos.

if you want to make a 100x profit you have to learn how to trade altcoins on your own and find the ways to lose less and make more successful trades.
you will never even reach $15 by asking others what to buy. you may buy one and make profit and buy the next and lose all that profit and more.
the rout you took is not an experiment but a waste of time.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone copy or clone Decentralize exchange like Etherdelta? on: November 07, 2017, 10:33:01 AM
when you are talking about open source projects you have to check out their license. most of them are free to be used by anyone who wants but there may be some with some restrictive licenses.
i checked the Etherdelta Github page and it seems like the developer forgot to set any license for his work! so i guess you are free to use it anyway you like although it is best to contact the developer.

also why not contribute to the same project and make that better if you can instead of creating something new!
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment advice on: November 07, 2017, 10:24:20 AM
if you want to be successful in altcoin world you have to be always active and move around. staying in one altcoin is the death of your investment. you have to buy and dump just as fast before it becomes too late to do so.

look for the promising altcoins but mostly look for those altcoins that are rising up in price. those are the ones with the good profit ahead. and if you can catch a pump that is even better. you catch one and make a lot of profit in a short time from that pump.
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin pricing on: November 07, 2017, 08:44:40 AM
they keep posting this following chart over and over here but nobody pays any attention to the chart itself but the peak!

you see this chart is very valuable. it has lots of information on it but it is always misinterpreted.
as you can see on the chart, in the initial phase or the stealth phase the rate of rising is pretty slow. the smart money is in or rather the early risk takers.
the second phase in which the adoption has grown bigger the rate increases a lot more. since bitcoin is global and a lot of different  countries are in the world some in phase 2 some in phase 3 i say we are somewhere between theses two phases where the adoption has grown quite a bit so the price rise is much faster than before but since there are still lots of "lack of awareness" we are still in the start of the fast rise and not yet reached the peak.

it may probably be a couple more years before we reach the end of 3rd phase and start the "Blow off phase".
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we not change the name of the original Bitcoin? on: November 07, 2017, 08:21:28 AM
this is not new. they have been using bitcoin's name from early days. there currently are bitcoin dark, bitcoin black and a couple of other bitcoin somethings around and they are all altcoins and nobody ever confuses them with bitcoin. and the name is simple enough. it is short and sufficient we shouldn't change the name to add a trailing word just because they keep creating new altcoins while abusing the bitcoin brand.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to cash out of bitcoin at once? on: November 06, 2017, 03:39:15 PM
Is it just that there's extra paperwork or verification or something?  Or is it because they think you've done something illegal?
i think it is mainly about legality of it. mostly because bitcoin is not exactly 100% traceable and there is always money laundering issues and stuff like that. and i don't think it will be relaxed any time soon Tongue

So if I wanted to sell $1,000,000 worth of bitcoin I could do it, but I'd have to leave it on coinbase or wherever (which I wouldn't want to do) and the problem is just the conversion of it, right?
i believe the deposit and withdrawals of these exchanges is based on equal value of their limit not just in fiat. for example if it is $10k per week it is also equal amount in bitcoin per week (meaning 1.36BTC per week). i am not sure how coinbase limit works though.

So,if I thought a crash was imminent what are other options, converting BTC to USDT?
no, that is going from bad to worse. USDT is centralized and it all depends on the company that is backing it. if some day that company which is also backing bitfinex goes under (like when Bitfinex was hacked and everyone was worried) USDT will crash hard (as it did before after bfx hack).
360  Economy / Speculation / Re: My Most Insane Prediction of Bitcoin & Ethereum on: November 06, 2017, 03:17:45 PM
this board is not called "guessing board" for a reason!

My "Most Insane Prediction" is based on a few thesis: 1) Be a total contrarian to general assumption and expectation, and 2) Be totally beyond commonly accepted reason and logic, and yet remain rational.
that is where you are wrong. the "assumption and expectation" is what drives the market most of the times. when enough people expect price to fall they sell, and when enough people expect the price to rise they buy.
their buy and sells leads to rise and falls.

7. Bitcoin will fall from the top #1 position by end of 2018.
yeah. very logical.
millions of investors will suddenly decide "lets stop investing in bitcoin" and then a couple of hundreds of thousands of merchants will say "yeah lets stop accepting bitcoin" and everyone just dumps it for no reason at all.

8. Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin to be the #1 in the same time period.
why?
what does ETH do better than bitcoin?
the fees are high.
the scaling issue of ETH is horrible
it can not handle large number of transactions which has been proven multiple times when the network failed
it has lots of bugs and exploits like DAO waiting to happen again
it is not even a currency to want to compete with bitcoin

not to mention the huge supply and no cap!

You may disagree all you like, but as I said, this is "My Most Insane Prediction".
as i said this is not a "guessing board" and you are not predicting anything, you are clearly bag holding ethereum and think we can't see that Wink
