341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day on: May 22, 2020, 11:42:41 AM
This story might have been posted here before, but today's make another year.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of BitcoinPizzaDay.

On this day ten years ago Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 $BTC.

Here's a thread of Bitcoin Pizza Day facts you might not know:
The fee paid for this famous transaction was huge by today's standards: 0.99 BTC! Today that's worth $9050.

A common misconception is that 10,000 BTC bought one pizza. It actually bought two! 🍕🍕

The two pizzas were bought from @PapaJohns.

The transaction wasn't direct. Laszlo sent the 10,000 $BTC to a fellow Bitcointalk forum user who then paid for the pizza to be sent to Laszlo with fiat.

At that time 10,000 BTC was worth ~$41. Bitcoin has increased in price by around 23,000x since then.

You can still see pictures of the famous pizzas here: http://heliacal.net/~solar/bitcoin/pizza/

Laszlo didn’t just complete this deal once. It was an open offer and seemingly occurred many times.

You can view the original 🍕 transaction here: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/a1075db55d416d3ca199f55b6084e2115b9345e16c5cf302fc80e9d5fbf5d48d

342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: List of bounty projects that end in a scam or void bounty agreement on: May 22, 2020, 06:14:43 AM
Gas fee! How big is the gas fee to send participants reward that the project owners can't afford! This is really an excuse like you said, if the project is that trustworthy,  I don't think gas fee can be the barrier to send reward, except intentionally they don't want to do it, which ofcourse is no longer news with bounty campaigns and reward payment.
May be they are not sharing the truth, may be they are. I have seen in their telegram group that the company behind the project is bankrupted. They are now trying to collect fund for starting the project. The required gas fee is not big. I wonder why julerz12 did not escrow the fee too. Anyway the project seems dying soon.

Gas fee shouldn't be an excuse for why they haven't sent tokens to participants. If this is really their problem, then anyone that has a deal with them in one way or the other should be very careful.

If a project isn't coming out plain to it's community, then expect them to go down the rail.
343  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin Doubler script reseller on: May 21, 2020, 07:57:01 PM
Personally I don’t think still any fool exist who believe on crypto doubler projects. Yeah its true that 4-5 years earlier when people were relatively new on crypto investment at that time these doubler scammers took a lot of money from many peoples. After passing some years most crypto investors finally got that this kinda bitcoin or altcoin doubler are nothing but a trap. From this lesson most of them turned their face from these obvious scam projects.

In current situation crypto investors are much educated and experienced. After experiencing all doubler, ponzi, hyip projects now they can easily take decision about real and fake projects. That’s why i believe time for scam & fake project is over but scammers are always ready to hunt newbies and inexperienced crypto investors.

Flag supported from my end & user profile will be tagged shortly. Selling bitcoin doubler script is nothing helping scammers to complete their scam game. IMO this user should be tagged by other DT members.

The inexperienced investors are the ones luring newbies to this ponzi scams and doublers all because of referral bonuses. Some will even think they have found a permanent source of income after their first cashout not knowing what's about to come after.

Some scammers use giveaways as a new methods. They promise an amount and then ask for donation or gas fee later for you to receive airdrop.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Way To Make Money From Crypto In 2020? on: May 21, 2020, 05:10:19 PM
With focused trading we can generate large profits, but trading must also have a good strategy to be successful.
This doesn't mean that making profit is assured here. Trading is an investment that involves risk (you need capital to in other to make profit) and that doesn't means you will always make profit from it.

7. Crypto jobs are now the commonest way of making money on the crypto space. This entails working for some projects to get paid either on weekly or monthly or daily basis as the case may be. And the payment is usually in $ or tokens. There are several other means aside all these.

You can also browse online for other available ways of making money in the space. Grab the opportunity and you are good to go.

Agreed. Getting a job in the crypto space maybe short term or long term. You know your income unlike bounties. It's gets better and better when you have more experience.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: App with a map of nearby people willing to trade bitcoin? on: May 21, 2020, 12:25:52 PM
That's will involve risk of getting robbed because most people won't want to give an app the access to their location. Some are still scared of submitting the ID for KYC and you're looking for an app that merges traders together for physical trade.
346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase problem on: May 21, 2020, 06:17:21 AM
This mistake usually difficult to sort out because it's either you're asked for KYC or you are told to prove that you control the wallet.
You're chatting with thw official Twitter page supportand you are in safe hand

347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi just moved his coins? on: May 20, 2020, 08:27:35 PM
Probably one of the early miners and just found the USB he stored some BTC in, maybe didn't take it serious in the beginning and could have mined more.

Some are claiming the it was passed down from someone buy I don't believe believe because it's hard to pass down such to a next of kin. It's even small to manipulate the market.

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Send Ether and Ethereum Tokens from Multiple Ethereum Addresses on: May 20, 2020, 03:49:10 PM
It's totally impossible do that from different wallet at once, you do it manually even if it's same smart contract. The only way you can send multiple transactions is if it's from wallet, you can send to multiple wallets, both ETH and ERC-20 tokens.

I think you should lock this thread already. Check the bottom left of this thread page for the button.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The list of bounty projects that end in a scam on: May 17, 2020, 08:15:03 PM
because this is a lesson for all of us as bounty hunters ...
I don't understand what lessons you are trying to pass to hunters by having a list of failed bounties because it isn't going to help in any way.
Bounties like Freldo, STiB, Depository are what I can remember for now and it will be an unending list if we are to continue.

Advise to hunters is that they should be careful in selecting bounties and it's not every bounties that you come across that's worth signing up or participating.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New Airdrop scam detected on: May 17, 2020, 07:46:11 PM
I receive this almost everytime(on of my temporary email), yesterday it was ETH, today it's XLM. I don't know what's going to be tomorrow, maybe Satoshi himself will send me an email or something.

Best thing to do is to create a different email address for filling, don't send any funds to any projects that asks you for funds for you to receive your reward, ignore links in your email that look like spam.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Electroneum TOPS +450% ROI in last 30 DAYS! on: May 17, 2020, 03:31:13 PM
This might just be a little pump or buy back because of the upcoming event. I also read somewhere that the CEO sent some sort of bullish mail concerning some things to expect which led to the spike in price. I will sit and watch what will happen after the event.
353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I earn $ on: May 16, 2020, 06:31:31 PM
This forum wasn't created as means of earning, it's a forum for discussion bitcoin and altcoins and there are also other sub sections like the marketplace where you get to post your service thread.

If you are here to focus on making some pennies as others would say, you can join airdrops and bounties but I wouldn't advise you to just focus on that because you might regret not learning somethings later. Create good topics and that will help you rank up.
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Discussion] The Merit System builds our personality on: May 16, 2020, 01:44:27 PM
But right now, we are all helping others to get their deserve rank, specially those who are working and sharing a lot in this forum.

I don't know what you mean by this but what I know is that personally, I do not merit users post based on rank here or try to help rank up and I think that's what others do too. When you post or create a good topic like this one, you get merited. Even low rank users merit legendary rank users which is the last rank here.

You've really made great points with your write up here and not just some merit post that forum starters creates to educate old members.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New exchanges worth my money???? on: May 16, 2020, 06:59:33 AM
Stay away from new exchange tokens and you will be fine,
Although OP wants to invest in new exchange tokens, it'll be appreciated if someone could share us a method to detect a good exchange project.

new exchange tokens like Vindax, coinsbit etc, they are low rated and dangerous, you can use coingecko exchange rating to find well rated exchanges, top rated exchanges are better
I don't think Using coingecko or cmc would be a great method to check for good project as volumes are price statistics are always manipulated.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hashrate is dropping on: May 15, 2020, 07:43:18 PM
Earnings was reduced and some can't be expected to stay. Most people know this already and might be temporary. For now, we should see a price increase as this is usual.

Due to that, the fee has increased and according to bitcoinfees, the recommded fee is 150 sat / per byte and there are a lot of unconfirmed transaction.

This would be temporary as big miners can increase their mining and contribute more hash rate.

358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheating or Not? on: May 15, 2020, 08:00:07 AM
It depends on the rules that were made from the beginning. Usually projects write "Bounty manager or admin has the right to do anything"
So we cannot blame them if they change the rules in the middle or the end.

Yeah and they are using this to cheat people because all bounty hunters that participated will undergo KYC even though they participated because they are not going to ask for KYC, now they are asking so they can get free service from this bounty hunters, this project should be posted in the scam section.

Rule is rule, it's a not a most you join any bounty you come across. And I think reason they always do this is because of bounty cheaters. It's almost impossible to get away with cheating if such method is used.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New exchanges worth my money???? on: May 14, 2020, 01:59:44 PM
This exchanges have been dedicated to their community for them to have reach the top and that's how you figure out which new exchange token to buy.

You can check the history of how the top exchanges started and all of there features and success, then use same way to judge the new exchange. And if you don't want to, you can invest in there use case, for example, Binance IEO.
360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How merit and trust works here on: May 14, 2020, 01:37:53 PM
I won't agree with all of you points especially the first and fourth. Being part of a gang is doesn't sound well making it look like this forum has some cult members. I have earned merits on some topics that I created.

And for the fourth one, you don't have to buy and sell just to earn trust, you might not even get any feedback from the user. Create your own service and that's how you earn people's trust.
