361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CROWN (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: October 30, 2016, 10:54:18 AM

This is CROWN's strength, which needs to be repeated:

Crown includes capabilities of both the DASH and Bitcoin protocols, but there are important differences between Crown and both DASH and Bitcoin. The most important differences from Bitcoin are that:

(1) Crown confirms transactions more quickly, and
(2) has an additional layer of security provided by Throne network masternodes.

The most important difference from DASH is that Crown can be merge-mined with Bitcoin so that it has the capability to leverage the security provided by the bitcoin network’s hashpower.

This may be true but there are dozens of other coins that have masternodes and better fundamentals than Bitcoin.  This is a complete distraction from what makes this project have potential imho.

I just want new community members to see where are we now - I dont think there is another BTC merged mined coin with masternodes features (correct me if I am wrong).

Crown Revolution will be built upon these foundations - no harm repeating them.  Wink

The objective of Crown revolution is to completely obliterate one of these foundations (Mining).

Although, once the core updates are complete, it'll put us up there with other successful Masternode coins..

When we implement our new way of processing transactions, Crown be become quite unique, to say the least.

Is there any chance we can get yobit wallet sync'ed again? It's been in maintenance status for a month or so. https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/

We've been trying for over a month but they won't respond to us.

Can you please raise a support ticket with them and ask them to fix it?  It is completely out of our hands...they need to fix it themselves.
This was the response:

Hi
Please fill this form >https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/
option free

I just sent a maintenance request (Free 8-14 business days) for SourceCode Update with the info from c-cex. I asked them to comment here if the info is not correct.

Thanks alot for that! Yobit = Yoshit

Very exciting!

I maybe asking too much here but I have to ask...
When a throne is swept of its balance can you make the app recognise the balance has been cleared?

Edit: Maybe have the option of both?

Is that when you clear a throne's balance back down to the original 10k? Would you want it to just highlight the throne in the mini table or push a notification?

No notification needed, just a correction to current balance.

If i have 10100crw and I send 50crw, I'd like the app to correct to the proper balance of 10050crw  Smiley

If i regularly sweep my thrones, the app shows total of all coin earned instead of what i made since i last swept my thrones.

Im being a pain  Cheesy

Looking really good.

I added and removed a number of thrones and seems to be working seamlessly.

Would be nice to use tabs so that you could get a nicer view of the stats...

Yeh, it seems to be running pretty sweet, but it's not very easy on the eye  Grin. The next major update version will have a menu with everything in it's own section and just a very brief overview on the home page.

Guys lets keep this space clean of any attacks, we need to move forward and discussion has to be constructive not destructive.  Wink
Yeah we have to only discuss the progress of the coin and do not have to care for the fuds. This coin is much stronger as it is running with success from a longer period and will remain forever.

yeah I sa on exchanges it has a very stronger history and is a stronger coin. the newbies are not able to break it. and we can see that the developers are sincere with their project and they are trying hard to give more success to the coin.
yes i a agree with you that the success of this coin is really based on the hard work of the developer, they are really working hard for the success of this project and specially the Signature Campaign is also too much effective in introducing the coin between the people.

The signature campaign has had 0 effect on the price.

The core team has acquired two key domains for further development of the Crown project:

1. crown.tech - our new website domain to be set up in course of next week
2. crown.cash - key domain to be used in the future as project develops in several directions

All these domains together with all the current crowncoin domains - crowncoin.com, .org, .net etc will be transferred from my possesion to a non profit organization to be set up in London very soon by the core team

We can make good use of those amazing urls.

Just to remind the thread whats still to come, here's
a list of things to look forword to...

New website, with new urls. (In progress)
New wallet look. (In progress)
OP graphics and roadmap (In progress)
Throne monitoring APP (Testing)
Major core updates to both Bitcoin and Dash (In progress)

Once all of this work is completed we can really start to focus on the technical aspect of our plans, our plan is to evolutionise the blockchain forever.

Yes I did reply in this thread but it was a request from the manager. No manager should enforce a post in a thread as a part of campaign.
But the again should a manager follow his own rules.

For me Both the campaign as the management whom deliberately chose a new manager are at fault.
For me, CrowCoin, sorry defuntec is a scam.

Sorry, i couldn't dissect an argument from you're utter babbling.

"For me Both the campaign as the management whom deliberately chose a new manager are at fault."

What are you talking about?
He is saying that a signature campaign manager should not force its users to post in a specific thread as part of the campaign.

Also he is saying that you seem to not be following the rules of the campaign, but I don't think you're even in it. lol

For me, CrowCoin, sorry defuntec is a scam.
In english, that is:
Sorry Defunctec, for me, Crowncoin is a scam.

Lol. And what is that "new manager" stuff? heh.

Thanks for the transaction  Tongue

How does asking campaigners to post once a week in the thread make us a scam? (I never asked for this rule, btw).

For the record, I have paid 0 money to the campaign or the management of it, why? No one has yet qualified and the first payment to campaigners is set to this sunday.

When sunday arrives I will check the validity of posts and make sure our outsourced manager is doing his job.

The Hive notices that you, Mr. Stone, do not seem to think that the POW protocol is a sustainable one and thus needs an update. There seem to be plausible arguments against POW. However, we have yet to see you state any detailed arguments against POS. We know one of them -- susceptibility to 51% attacks. What are some other issues that you see with POS?

Separately, won't coins that are POW just be able to switch their consensus protocol if it becomes a problem?

~ The Hive ~

I'm not ignoring your question.  I'm just taking a while to think about it.

Thanks for keeping us informed. We figured you might be developing a response to it.

~ The Hive ~

This isn't as detailed a response as Stonehedge will give, but here's a few problems with PoS..

From
https://cointelegraph.com/news/the-inevitable-failure-of-proof-of-stake-blockchains-and-why-a-new-algorithm-is-needed

Quote
This being said, even if a PoS currency is safe for up to 99.9999999999999999999999999%, someone will eventually get enough stake to manipulate the blockchain.

Here is why:

Quote
"If the rich are more likely to get a block, they are more likely to collect the reward for the block. Every block they get, the richer they become. The richer they become, the more likely they are to collect the reward for a block.

This keeps going on for the life to the cryptocurrency and if the cryptocurrency lives long enough, it will see 51% stake holders, or 91% stake holders, or even 99.91% stake holders. It is only a matter of time."
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRW] CrownCoin (SHA256) | Masternodes (Thrones) | DGW | Mergedmining | etc on: October 21, 2016, 02:16:53 PM
One person controls 10% of the coins in return for investing a five figure sum of euros in development. That leaves 9 million coins. You are exaggerating quite a bit.

Also, even if what you claim is true...find me a coin where that isn't the case. At least we know who our Satoshi is.

Why sign up a new BCT account just to post on Crown? What do you have to hide?
fair enough. youre right but only as long as those with such amounts support the coin. i came off a bit wrong but what im trying to say is that it might scare off investors. transparency is great and i applaud you for that i really do.

dont worry this account isnt new, i just deleted all my previous posts. didnt know it would set my activity back to 0 lol

and im close to my first throne but damn the market is dry

If you play nice, I will offer you a good deal to help you get on the Throne ladder  Kiss

Well, this project impressed me too.. I wasn't aware of crowncoin before but few days ago I saw this in someone's signature. and then I started reading about it. I see the market, exchange, and the market cap value.. and now I can say this is a very promising Altcoin and a good choice for traders.
the most perfect thing is most coin supply are in th developers hand, so traders can't dump this coin in big amount.
it makes it an Ideal Coin for trading.

why would anyone invest in this coin if most is held by the dev team? i dont see one positive thing about that

And you claim other people to be retarded...

Good job on the progress!

I have tried sending a tx some hours ago which still is unconfirmed. How can I fix this? Which block explorer is most up to date?

I have sent it through the 0.9.2 64bit Windows wallet which I installed on the 9th of August.

EDIT: also, my wallet does not seem to sync, also it shows 6 active connections. Could it have something to do with this?

Blockexploer links are in the OP

I'm working hard on an idea I have for a crypto based gambling system.

Ofcourse I wouldn't dishonor the Crown and build it for another coin, the first coin to be added will be Crown.

I'd just like to know, is there any demand for a betting game, on which you can use CRW to bet and is strongly related to Crown?

I do not see a problem with a unrelated gambling service, though I personally would not be using it.  I think it would be fine for this service to run via the currency of Crown, but I do not think it would necessarily be a good idea for the Crown website to be directly connected to the gambling aspect.  This connection might serve to delegitimize how the coin is viewed.

This is a personal prject, not tied to core team in any way Smiley

After detailed analysis our drones have a small, but potentially useful announcement.

The Hive would like to bring the Crown community's attention to the fact that in the top approx. 100 addresses there are a total of 45 addresses that haven't been touched in over a year & in some cases over two years. All of which amount to the grand total of 2,464,691 CRW.

Thrones=2,760,000
Untouched wallets=2,464,691

Sum of total Crown off markets= 5,224,691

Effective coin supply then, can be imagined to be about half of the total when including all of the coins locked in collateral.

With deep curiosity,

~ The Hive ~
Great to bring to attention! I believe that CRW will make new heights.

I'll leave it to somebody else to give a view on this but I do know that a small number (one or two) of those addresses have been lost forever.

This coin has been as low as 50 sats in the last year and members of the original team kept it going.  I suspect that most of those addresses are original investors who didn't cash out when Crowncoin wasn't worth anything. Lucky people.

There are 1.5m coins that appear to be owned or at least controlled by one person.  This needs to be explained.

I remember this all very well, someone bought in this time last year with huge volume and bought from sub 100 sat to over 1200 sats.

Brave saying not much was happening here

The former Crowncoin team - 5 people + myself hold cca 1.8 to 2m coins (myself at 1.4m now - from which 300k I am holding for someone else) . I have been here from the very beginning and have been investing 10k eur in the coin in the last 2 years - development of the coin (mergedmining, naming, timestamping, web, etc) and buying on a market when coin had no value, believe me this was sometimes extremely frustrating - I was the one who at least 7 times avoided delisting from c cex. I strogly believed in Crown and I knew in my heart it will succeed one day. After old team members left because of lack of faith, new guys here - defuctec, stonehedge and chaositec came from the sky. And now our team has 12 members from Australia through Europe to US - we can say we are a worldwide team.

As one of the core team members and a co-founder of this coin, I only want Crown to succeed - I am and will be constantly contributing to further development from my holding. I said this before, my approach is: "first in last out"

I hope this will answer some questions above and show the community we are as open as possible.

Thanks for your honesty, I couldn't ask for anything more.

I confirm crowncoin_knight has been here from literary day 1 and has invested 1000s of pounds. He single handedly paid for Domob to do all the coding this time last year... i guess it was CCK that bought to 1200 sats.

Also, at current supply, i calculate CCK is only up 80%-100% on his initial investment of 10k euros.

Not much really.
