361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Hard fork (constantinople) on 16th january 2019 on: December 15, 2018, 10:26:42 AM
it should no longer have any serious effects on the long term price of it because there is already a very huge supply of it available and also with their hard fork to change the algorithm to proof of stake they will be basically giving away a lot of free coins to the whales who will in turn dump them right away without touching their main coins and that can crash the market hard.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 is it the new beginning will come to crypto currencies? on: December 15, 2018, 10:16:23 AM
I have some bad ideas. I think crypto may get worse in 2019, because when the bear market continues to spread, more investors will panic sell crypto, which will lead to further market collapse!

i don't think so. the dumps are near the end and we may continue seeing whales dump altcoins that still haven't reached their bottoms for another 4-6 months before it ends. but for most of them the dump has been over for a couple of months now so it is safe to say that they (usually smaller cap altcoins) will be pumping from the beginning of 2019 while bigger altcoins continue to dump.
363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the ultimate hedge against the upcoming financial crisis? on: December 15, 2018, 09:45:34 AM
i don't think there is any ultimate hedge in case of  a global financial crisis. and bitcoin is not yet ready for that kind of adoption although it has a lot of potential to be one. so i'd say bitcoin would be a pretty good choice but it can't solve all the problems.

Bitcoin (core) as it's the oldest, largest crypto

"bitcoin core" is the name of a full node/wallet not the coin itself. the coin is simply called "bitcoin".
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to send invalid transaction in mempool? on: December 15, 2018, 09:41:30 AM
so if a transaction shows in mempool is valid transaction its not invalid?

well first you have to know that mempool is not a singular place. it is the memory of each node. and each node is responsible for what they put in it. so a node can decide to place invalid transactions in its "memory pool" but generally speaking if a transaction is in nodes' mempool it should be a valid one because they all validate them first.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to send invalid transaction in mempool? on: December 15, 2018, 09:25:22 AM
you can send but the nodes that receive your invalid transaction will first validate it before adding it to their mempool and when they see it is an invalid transaction they will simply reject it and don't include it in their mempool.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get people to use your Cryptocurrency on: December 14, 2018, 02:39:32 PM
the problem is not with advertisement or reaching out to merchants or linking the coin to mastercard,...
the problem is that this coin is not different from hundreds of others and all of them are doing the same thing. so the question remains that why would a user choose this coin instead of another one.
sometimes just being different is not enough. that difference has to be big enough and fundamental enough to make a difference so that people want to use it.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money off cryptocurrency? on: December 14, 2018, 02:24:15 PM
unfortunately that is a risk that a trader needs to accept. although there are many ways to reduce that risk. for example you don't have to be a day trader to make profit. you can be an investor so your exposure to exchanges is minimal for example you buy bitcoin and keep it long term and sell in bubbles and only buy after crashes.
or even as a day trader you can withdraw your money every time you are finished with the trade.
and finally there are decentralized exchanges which remove a lot of t he risks associated with centralized exchanges like them running away with your money.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of bitcoin and independent money on: December 14, 2018, 02:15:34 PM
when you have a system as big as bitcoin you want to keep it at a balance. a balance between all the features of it. for example a balance between decentralization and transaction per second. a balance between the supply and the demand. and a lot more.
so you can't just take one thing like TPS and then analyze that alone. if you want to talk about a feature and its alternatives (like the PoW algorithm that people constantly talk about these days) you also have to talk about the pros and cons of the alternatives.
for example the coin you are introducing has sacrificed centralization and that is a no go for me.
369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Perception about BTC to rise in 2019 is good? on: December 14, 2018, 02:09:06 PM
the only reason why sells and the crash can be an indicator of a rise in the near future is if you consider this current crash as a manipulation of the price. in which case that means manipulators sold too much to force the price to this level so that they can buy more of it and then release the selling pressure when it  could no longer be contained and have the rise.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV on: December 14, 2018, 01:59:56 PM
that is because of the laziness of the website designer that only copied things from the alternative block explorer for BCH so now it says on top BSV explorer and the blocks are for BSV but he has forgotten to rename the term "BCH" to "BSV".

It seems like everything pertaining to BSV was thrown together in quite a hurry. I don't think CSW ever envisioned a scenario where his client did not win the battle for the BCH symbol. Websites, wallets, partners and block explorers were all developed after it came to light that there would be two coins as the result of this mess.

all of it has been a terrible mess! it is a full on war and the fires of it has been burning the whole market not just these two altcoins. having silly things such as wrong abbreviations are too small in comparison!
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scaling of bitcoin. on: December 14, 2018, 01:52:08 PM
If people had the least doubt that scaling is impossible, everyone would've switched to something else. Aside from the lightning network: https://medium.com/@ianedws/roadmap-to-bitcoin-developments-f7af59b6d122

Oh you'd be surprised. Check out Reddit r/cryptocurrency; where a lot of people think that bitcoin is centralized compared to their favorite altcoins, and where people think bitcoin is "outdated" or "old tech" and that their favorite altcoin is the best invention since the dawn of mankind.

Take a look at this: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/a5w4ew/serious_people_here_that_own_no_btc_why_not/

it is not about people thinking that, 90% of these cases are about people advertising their altcoins and they use buzzwords such as scaling, centralized, outdated technology,.... for it while most of their beloved altcoins are exact copies of bitcoin!!!

altcoins are created because teams that are not core are not being allowed to add their proposals for upgrades to bitcoins network because they dont fit cores roadmap

it is only true about 1% of altcoins such as Litecoin and IOTA. the rest of them such as BCH, XRP, DASH, ETH, ... and thousands of others are created to be pumped and dumped and they pretend they have created the coin because of what you said.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin penetrate the market of developing countries soonest? on: December 14, 2018, 01:46:56 PM
it is not just about increasing the adoption to increase the price and make profit. the adoption will happen on its own without anybody intervening. the most important thing to do is to solidify the market itself which consists of exchanges so that we can see less volatile market or in other words a market that is less affected by manipulation of whales.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase lists ripple. when..when..when on: December 13, 2018, 10:10:32 AM
who cares. XRP is a centralized pump and dump coin that is only good for a couple of weeks of pump and then dies for months at a time without anything interesting going on while we keep seeing lots of newbies advertise it because they are bagholding it Cheesy

The answer is simple. Coinbase will not list the XRP, XRP yet is not registered with the SEC. And the SEC, in turn, is waiting for a court decision on the status of XRP.

then they should not have listed ANY cryptocurrency because none of them are "registered with the SEC"!
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No bull run this year?! For real? on: December 13, 2018, 09:56:18 AM
don't use the word "bull run" when you mean to say "pumping season". they are  different things. what you are looking for is the later and is probably not going to happen for many months. it is possible that until next year summer we will continue seeing altcoins dump.

but if it is profit you seek then there are coins that are getting pumped on daily basis. try to learn how to trade and make profit from trading them.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoS is very important on: December 13, 2018, 09:43:52 AM
it is a failed attempt to move away from PoW. their initial plans  were about killing miners with difficulty bomb but that was sunk when it was removed elsewhere. and also you can not force miners to stop mining and as a result the original ETH chain will exist if they fork to PoS while the foundation will switch to PoS with their centralization power and then they will try to attack the original chain if they want to survive!!! like they attacked ETC in order to survive.
in the end i expect seeing 3 chains.
- the original ethereum chain called ETC
- the fork chain called ETH PoW
- the fork chain called ETH PoS
376  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas and the year end holidays on: December 13, 2018, 09:32:52 AM
even if price went down it wouldn't be because of Christmas and end of the year. it would have to have other more serious reasons. specially because are not talking about a regular drop like from $7k to $6k. at this point we are talking about a huge drop to below certain major buy supports that are extremely hard to break!
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV on: December 13, 2018, 09:19:44 AM
there is bitcoin which is the trusted decentralized currency that people know of and have been using for years and has the majority support. then one day last year someone decided to copy it and create their own version of it and try to double the amount of coins they have so that they can earn some free money. so they created bitcoin-cash.
this year someone else wanted to do the same so they copied the copy coin and created bitcoin-sv out of it and made a lot of money in one day.

Why people get BCH coin for mining new block in Bitcoin SV?

they do not. you are making a mistake.
if you find block of coin X you will get the reward for coin X. if you find block of coin Y then you get the reward for coin Y.
Check this screenshot. It's Bitcoin SV block explorer. As you can see, transactions have BCH coins, and rewards for a new block also paid in BCH coins.

that is because of the laziness of the website designer that only copied things from the alternative block explorer for BCH so now it says on top BSV explorer and the blocks are for BSV but he has forgotten to rename the term "BCH" to "BSV".
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times you heard the bitcoin gonna die? on: December 13, 2018, 09:15:46 AM
yes it is called bitcoin obituaries which is basically every time some "big" news was released about bitcoin and how it is "dead" or "dying": https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoinobituaries/

it doesn't has small idiotic ones that is the every day FUD spread by newbies though. Wink
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO going to dead, FUTURE IS FOR STO? what you think about STO future? on: December 13, 2018, 09:02:38 AM
ICOs aren't completely dead, they are dying and i don't see that much of a difference between ICO and STO. they seem to be exactly the same in places where it really counts and they will scam people in a very similar way. so i don't think STOs are going to be any more successful that ICOs are today!
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on a cryptocurrency social platform? on: December 09, 2018, 10:13:14 AM
the attempts that you are making are admirable but it is the internet and you can't really do anything about it. when people come online the anonymity they gain gives them some false sense of power that they tend to abuse and spam.
when money is involved which is the case of altcoins and trading them, everything they have been doing online becomes that much more intensified and there is no way of fixing that.
