361  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New SEC Requirement for DEX Liquidity Providers on: February 08, 2024, 02:36:23 AM
"Liquidity providers on DEXs with assets greater than $50,000,000 are required to register with the SEC rules ."
At least I don't need to worry Grin

Hehehehehee that is funny!

In any case, what can the SEC presently do if these anonymous whales who have more than $50 million in stablecoins provide liquidity in different DEXs, AMMs and decentralized lending and borrowing services from different wallets containing under $50 million?

Uncle Gary has a headscratching problem for his bald head hehe.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC likely to approve spot Ethereum ETFs on May 23 on: February 08, 2024, 02:12:52 AM
It appears that uncle Gary and the SEC might be using the same storyline that they have used before approving Bitcoin hehehe.

Vaneck's application final deadline date for their Ethereum spot ETF will be on May 23. If this is rejected, this will be the first rejection and I reckon the others might be rejected also. However, if this is approved, it will be a mass approval similar to the Bitcoin ETFs of all the applicants.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has decided to delay its decision on Invesco and Galaxy’s spot Ethereum ETF application.

Other ETH ETF filers had previously had the verdict of their applications for a spot ETH ETF postponed by SEC. About two weeks ago, the SEC postponed a decision on the spot Ethereum ETF proposed by Fidelity Investments that involves listing and trading of shares of the Fidelity Ethereum Fund under BZX Rule 14.11(e)(4).

BlackRock also had its decision for spot ETH ETF postponed by the U.S. SEC to March 10, 2024. The regulator claimed that the asset manager’s iShares Ethereum Trust has yet to receive any feedback from the public since it was published on the Federal Register, mandating the need for additional time.

363  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2024-02-04] Bitcoin Pioneer Nayib Bukele Reelected in El Salvador ... on: February 08, 2024, 01:32:52 AM
Good to read about this. He is likely a good president. A president that can think that way to legalize bitcoin as a legal tender in a way the dollar they are spending is not affected. It is a president that consider people's freedom. He has my respect the way he legalized bitcoin by making buying and selling of goods and services to be paid in bitcoin or dollar in a way no merchant can reject the buying but in way the merchant can decide to automatically convert the bitcoin to dollar, or the dollar to bitcoin when the buyer is sendinf the money.

Agreed. I was a skeptical about Nayib Bukele before, however, after watching an interview with him, I respect him as a person. I might not respect much of these politicians, but Nayib Bukele's views and awareness are very much similar to many people in the cryptospace community. He hates the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank for offering unfair terms to 3rd world countries and it appears that he is trying to change this. I would speculate that all future loans from the IMF and the World Bank might have terms that would be good for El Salvador.
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: February 06, 2024, 05:30:02 AM
@Baofeng. I very much agree on the no boycott. Mucn of the world might have also forgotten about the war on Ukraine vs. Russia or much of the people have stopped caring. We are very distracted by all these new information being shown to us constantly by the internet.

Mauricio Sulaiman also appears to have caring because he is allowing Beterbiev to fight a Russian national hehehehe. Sulaiman had very strong objections against Russia's war and Putin before hehe. Also, on which side is Saudi Arabia? I reckon they denounced Russia's actions against Ukraine. Everyone knows I like conspiracy theories, you know what I am implying with this hehehehee.
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 06, 2024, 04:23:43 AM
Do they have other sports also? I also watch boxing, UFC, some NBA during playoff and I want to watch NCAA college football on next season.

Send me link.

On NFL news, this is quite head shaking because they are more bewildering on the conspiracy theories on Taylor Swift than me hehehehehee.

Pop icon Swift's burgeoning romance with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has been cited by right-wing critics as evidence of a plot to rig the Super Bowl and help get US President Joe Biden reelected.

The bizarre theories have characterised Kelce and Swift's relationship as a deep-state psychological operation, designed to tip this year's presidential election in Biden's favor, with Fox News asking in a recent discussion: "Is Taylor Swift a Pentagon asset?"

!!! Breaking news !!!

Fury Vs Usyk won't happen due to Tyson's injury (big cut to the right eye).
He got caught by an accidental elbow during the sparring, he was wearing a head-guard, but that didn't help.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/68187055

Michael Bisping's commentary, including the footage of unfortunate sparring:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBay8997Ifs&t

The fight will likely get postponed, although there are speculations of the replacement fight, possibly against Filip Hrgovic (17-0).

I am very disappoint.

Here is an event that will surely give us great entertainment this fight is between Teofimo Lopez and Jamaine Ortiz and it is a fight for the WBO World Super Lightweight Title it will be a good fight to watch here is the full display of the event,

Lopez vs. Ortiz

I reckon this fight certainly is very worthy to have a thread created. This is a good fight. However, I am also disappointed that Teofimo Lopez vs. Subriel Matias was not organized. It would have been a unification of IBF and WBO championships.

On Teo vs Ortiz, it is the first time for Ortiz to fight in super lightweight. Teo might win by knockout on the 10-12 rounds. If you compare them, Teo is stronger, faster and the bigger puncher.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: February 06, 2024, 02:36:30 AM
@bisdak40. There is certainly no real fan of boxing that will boycott this fight. We can be quite certain that it is the stupid government and sports governing organizations that want to boycott this fight because of a war that different governments are encouraging to continue.

In any case, on Bivol vs. Beterbiev, Bivol has the footwork which might be enough to avoid Beterbiev on the first 6 rounds of the fight. However, on the 6-12 rounds Beterbiev might have a chance to stand in front of Bivol and force Bivol to fight. We can be certain that Bivol will taste the punches of Beterbiev and as a Bivol fan, let us hope that he is strong enough to survive this hhehe. I presently do not have a prediction for this fight.

@Boafeng. What is your prediction?
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 05, 2024, 08:37:10 AM
@ChiBitCTy. I did not imply make the season longer, only make college football begin earlier on May and end on August. After this, we will have NFL season begin! This schedule will be convenient for fans and this will also make it known who are awarded as the best players in college football and who might be in the drafts on the following year while we are watching the NFL season hehehehe.

On this statement from the Japanese Embassy, is this real? Who wrote this? Taylor Swift can wow the Japanese audience according to an official statement sounds not official heheehe.

College football will never start in May and run through the summer.  For one these are academic athletes so that just wouldn't work.  The way it goes is Friday for highscool football, Saturday for college and Sunday for the big boys.  Been that way for eons, football is a fall sport and isnt changing

I cannot argue against being academic athletes. However, you also understand what I am trying to imply. There is a big opening for others to place their schedules after February and before September. This is certainly why the UFL and XFL were created. I might be forced to watch this hehe.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: February 05, 2024, 07:03:59 AM
@Rikafip. I would argue if it was in Bafta or a European award for best original screenplay, Anatomy of a fall would be the winner. However, in the Oscar awards where much of the voters are Americans, I reckon the odds being offered by the sportsbooks are implying the chances of Holdovers and Anatomy correctly.

If the Holdovers win best movie, this will be very much similar to Green Book and Coda heheh. I do not remember the social or political issues when these movies won, however, the voters wanted a feel good movie.

@zasad@. I very much disagree. In the present condition of their economy, with their debt and high spending, their tax payers certainly cannot support the illegal migrants that are entering their jurisdiction. The government does not have the budget and they cannot increase more taxes on the people because it will force more financial pressure on them and it is also an election year hehehe. The Democrats do not want the voters to have much hate on them.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 03, 2024, 09:29:50 AM
Both weigh-in below 168 lbs, Munguia and Ryder at 167.8 lbs, but it's good to see them making the weight.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJAY-koXMCw

Munguia though looks fresh maybe because of his youth, but he is still the favorite in this fight. I wanted to see Munguia vs Berlanga though, I mean this two has been calling each other for quite sometime now and they are young that's why this fight is going to be equal though.

But let's see if Jaime can pass his big test against Ryder first.

Munguia was able to get the TKO win against a fighter who went the distance with Canelo. If Canelo doesn't fight Benavidez, then Munguia seems like the next best option. Munguia is never in a boring fight so I am sure against Canelo it will be a slugfest. Munguia's porous defense is his biggest weakness and would probably be his downfall against Canelo. It is still a good matchup on paper with potential to be fight of the year.

Hehe this is hype. It appears the storyline for him is he knocked out the fighter who went to the decision against Canelo and it is also being implied that he has a chance vs. Canelo. However, who is this Munguia? Does beating John Ryder make him the next challenger against the super middleweight champion? This is head shaking.

I mean if you haven't followed Jaime's rise to fame, he is supposedly the next big thing, the next hype in the middleweight/super middle weight. Maybe you can add the storyline that he is under GBP and Oscar is hell bent on having Munguia fight his once cash cow in Canelo. They separated in a bad note and Oscar might be mad for Canelo for dumping him.

Also, according to some articles, Canelo will avoid David Benavidez again and he might give the fans their wish. Munguia will certainly be a much less difficult fight than Benavidez.

And the front running as per reports is Jermall Charlo vs Canelo Alvarez next. All in-house money for PBC again. But obviously there are fans that will not like this fight, as we wanted him to face David Benavidez, but Canelo is clearly ducking him.

Oscar dela Hoya as a promoter only wants to hype his fighter and making quick actions to have him first to fight Canelo. This is a business and he can make a higher purse for Jaime Munguia while the hype is happening. I am quite certain in 2 months the hype will be gone and Oscar will need to find another fighter with no name for Jaime.

On Jermall Charlo, there is a good storyline for this. The revenge of the brother veey much similar to martial arts movies hehehe. There might be some skeptical fans who might speculate that Jermall let Jermell take the fight to collect information heeheh.

In any case, everyone does not like Kambosos vs. Lomachenko for the vacant IBF lightweight championship? This is certainly better than Canelo vs. Munguia hehehe

373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC likely to approve spot Ethereum ETFs on May 23 on: February 03, 2024, 08:33:16 AM
The crypto market will expand further after the SEC's approval strengthens the global cryptocurrency position with Bitcoin ETFs and spot Ethereum ETFs. This move is a significant step towards the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies. This will open up the cryptocurrency market to a wider range of investors. Also, a spot Ethereum ETFs will be worth more than the real time price.

Agreed on the further expansion of the cryptospace. The market capitalizations of $1 billion to enter the top 100 will certainly be more than this and it can possibly become $5 billion to $10 billion. I reckon for the traders who are looking for gems, it might be these coins that have under $100 million market capitalization, it will not be these coins under market capitalization of $10 million anymore.

I speculate that Tether and Circle will issue more USDT and USDC on the next bull market than all of the total that they have printed before. It will be very head shaking because many people will not believe this.
374  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Coinbase on: February 03, 2024, 06:46:28 AM
@zasad@. Hehehe it is not fuss and the border crossers are not a ficticious problem. Border crossers have presently been increasing and the Mexican cartel has created a business out of this. The latest news updates from the border in Texas is the patrols there are being overwhelmed. Also, the crossers are living in America without paying taxes and at the expense of the tax payers.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: February 03, 2024, 05:38:00 AM
@nutildah. Are we very much similar on being in the Roman times where the rulers distracted the people with gladitorial games and chariot races?

Good lord this thread was buried 4 pages deep today..a sign of the season coming to an end which legitimately does make me sad lol.

Can there be an argument to make college football start on May or June or earlier?

In any case, I want to watch college football more closely. What websites and sources of information would you suggest?

I'm afraid the refs are going to force the the issue so the Chiefs will win so that Mr. Pfizer can propose to Miss Illuminati during the post-game celebration.

Agreed, very much similar to what the Illumnati did to the referees in the AFC championship game heheheee. What are these referees names and are they a member of a Masonic lodge?

Yeah football almost over sad times Sad  with that being said I'm looking forward to this superbowl ypu know why Smiley

Is it Taylor Swift?
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: February 02, 2024, 04:25:13 AM
@Rikafip. However, if it is more common for the the Bafta best actor winner to be different from the Oscar best actor winner and also with this big readjustment on the odds, there might be an argument that Paul Giamatti certainly has a chance. But the chance to bet is gone already because 12.00 was more than the fair odds for Giamatti against Cillian Murphy.

On the odds for best movie, Poor Things has readjusted to 12.00 from 15.00.

In any case, I have bet on the Holdovers hehehe. Similar to what I have already mentioned, if Christopher Nolan was voted for best director, I speculate the voters will distribute the award for best picture to another movie. It will be a stronger argument if Cillian Murphy also wins for best actor.

The Holdovers might have 2 awards, best original screenplay and best picture.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC likely to approve spot Ethereum ETFs on May 23 on: February 02, 2024, 03:42:37 AM
Wow it is coming sooner than everyone probably expected everyone thought that it would take sec quite the long time to approve ethereum etf considering how long it took for them to approve bitcoin but i guess the approval of bitcoin etf allowed for a much looser opinion on altcoins especially the top performing one among altcoins

We can expect lots of individuals, companies trying to acquire crypto particularly bitcoin and ethereum in the next following months following the etf approval of both coins we can expect good news after good news this year may everyone get their wanted end results!

It began on the approval of the spot ETF for bitcoin. We can be quite certain that the other spot ETFs for the  other major cryptocoins might not have a similar opposition and delays from Gary Gensler and the SEC. However, having an ETF approved for Ethereum on May might be very early. Have there been applications for this already?

On Ethereum, I speculate that when the rumor spreads on a spot ETF approval it might have a much stronger pump because Ethereum requires lesser inflows of cash than Bitcoin, I reckon.

@Fundamentals Of. It was Grayscale that began dumping bitcoin on the day of approval because GBTC holders were dumping their GBTC.

379  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing] Kambosos vs. Lomachenko on May 12 on: February 01, 2024, 04:40:04 AM
@Everyone. It is official. Kambosos and Lomachenko will fight on May 12 in Perth, Australia. We have witnessed that these former champions have lost to the undefeated Devin Haney, however, they remain very good fighters, I reckon. I am also quite certain much of the boxing fans also have the same opinion.

It also appears that they will fight for the vacant IBF lightweight championship that Haney left after he moved to a heavier weight division.

Australia’s fighting emperor and former unified world champion, George Kambosos Jr., is on a mission for a new belt. Standing in his way is a Ukrainian fight legend, Vasiliy Lomachenko, a three-division world champion intent on writing another triumphant chapter in his Hall of Fame career.

Lomachenko and Kambosos will clash for the vacant IBF lightweight world title as part of a world title tripleheader on Sunday, May 12, at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Two additional world title fights will be announced in the coming weeks.

Also, the sportsbooks appear to like Lomachenko very much hehe. I also like him, however, this 1.13 might be very low.

Has anyone with cryptocoins in Celsius begun receiving back those coins? According to this article Celsius has started to distribute $3 billion worth of coins and fiat. This is no small amount hehehe. I reckon this might also be one of the causes of the dump presently happening on the market. The depositors, after waiting for their coins to be returned, they will be very happy to dump them and send the fiat in their bank accounts where the money will be safe hehehehe.

Celsius Network has started to distribute $3 billion worth of cryptocurrency and fiat to its creditors after officially resolving its Chapter 11 bankruptcy, 18 months after it paused user withdrawals, the company said on Wednesday.
