361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Slow success builds character, fast success builds Ego." Ratan Tata on: May 18, 2024, 10:31:58 PM
* If you have happened to know a trader personally or admire one from afar, what character from your perspective, does such a one portray unknowingly that makes you know they are truly a trader and a very successful one at that?
They are humble and always willing to help others. As much as they're already successful, they shouldn't get into others welfare.

But being helpful, you know that they're there to help others and get to familiarize with trading. Not that they're going to help in the form of a paid webinar and they'll name it as a "trading masterclass".

I know that many of us here probably are familiar with these kind of classes that you get few to almost nothing but the fee is expensive.
362  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's the weirdest compliment you've ever received? on: May 18, 2024, 09:41:52 PM
In some cultures, telling that you've become fat is both, a compliment and an insult. And also, the opposite of it being told that you've reduced weight and you look slimmer is also the same, a compliment but also an insult.

This is for some cultures that I've seen like in South Korea. But if someone tells me that I've become fat, I've been used to it.

It's a compliment to me if they say that I become look slimmer and hopefully that it becomes more of a reality.
363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lack of capital or knowledge, which one is holding traders back from profits? on: May 18, 2024, 02:06:21 PM
Lack of capital shouldn't be a problem, we can start by smaller amount as part of learning process.
No problem if you are starting out and you want to start with small amount for learning and understand the market. But as time goes by when you've fully understood the concept of trading and the market, you need to increase your budget.

There are traders that they leverage a small amount and goes to the futures and tries to multiply it there. Some are successful when they get used to it.

But this strategy isn't for everybody because risk in futures is far from the typical spot trading that has lesser risk.

I think I am just going to cash out every $3 it goes up from now on.

I have seen price predictions for this bull run from $10 - $50 so I will leave 1000 till the peak of the bull run and hope it is closer to $50
That's a lot of price for the prediction. But you know what you are up to and you have price targets.

So whatever happens to that and it has reached your price and expectation, always secure for yourself. Yes, the profit should be secured for you to be able not to miss every opportunity that's already at hand.

365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 18, 2024, 12:26:35 PM
That's a serious f*** up story from that businessman. Whoever gets to enjoy his wealth but then suddenly falls into gambling will have to deal with the consequences.

He worked hard for his assets and what he's got then it will turn out to be gone easily.

I can't imagine how painful it was for him and to the people that are caring to him most.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swap crypto or sell first then buy? on: May 18, 2024, 11:49:56 AM
Boyptc - it was a $360 investment.

I have taken the $360 out plus $2k profit so far so I am now holding a free bag which is currently worth $9495 - it has been my best investment by far so far in my crypto journey.
Congratulations and all I can say is great job.

I am just not sure if I should take more out at this current price or hold and be brave hoping it goes a lot higher by the end of the year in the peak of the bull run.
Well, you're free to do what you think will benefit you. You've taken your initial capital from it and you're in profit and as you've said, you're holding a free bag.

That's for you to decide and you can explore more freely without having a bad feeling about it whatever the results will be.
367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 18, 2024, 11:17:50 AM
Anyway, Game 6 between the Mavericks and the Thunder will be the next game. Will the Mavericks end it on their home, or the Thunder will force a Game 7.
Well, Wolves and Nuggets goes to game 7.

New York Knicks and Pacers goes to game 7.

It's possible that Mavs and the Thunder are also going to go for the game 7. But one series tomorrow, the Nuggets and the Wolves are going to be the decider game.

Of course as fans we wanted an extended series and have another game 7 between the Mavs and the Thunder. But OKC needs some contribution from their players and rise to the occasion otherwise the whole season that they have been working to be the top 1 will go out of the window.

They will have to find a way to win in the road here, they've done it before and so they should be positive that they can accomplished it and then go to game 7 at their homecourt and they will have the advantage then.
Not me, I want to see all of these series end quickly.  Tongue

But can't do anything with that. Everyone has got to win their remaining games tomorrow and so.

Well, Wolves and Nuggets goes to game 7.

New York Knicks and Pacers goes to game 7.

It's possible that Mavs and the Thunder are also going to go for the game 7. But one series tomorrow, the Nuggets and the Wolves are going to be the decider game.
Game 6 though is going to be in American Airlines Center, the homecourt of the Mavs, so this game for the OKC will be double harder as they will have to go to Dallas and win in the road, although they've done it before, but this time Luka might be thinking not to extend the series anymore and ended it at their homecourt so that they can at least have a break before facing the winner of the T'Wolves vs Nuggets series. And if we look at the odds right now, they are the favorite, although this series is unpredictable, the inexperience Thunder might have a hard time dealing with Luka and Kyrie next game. Initial handicap is -/+ 1.5.
I agree that OKC needs to do better on this. Playing on a home court advantage and on a game 7 is certainly a big obstacle for them and that's why the Mavs are on this.
368  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is DeFi Staking in Crypto? on: May 18, 2024, 09:53:56 AM
We've got the banks for lending us, as simple explanation DeFi is p2p lending through a decentralized platform without any intervention of any third party.

How to find a Safe DeFi Staking platform in order to make passive income on crypto assets?
To be honest, most of them if not all are prone with security issues. Search out those news about DeFis that have been hacked, they're hot in the eyes of hackers.

Thanks for the replies so far.

The altcoin I have just taken profit on is Arcblock - I was lucky and got in last year at $0.11 and it has just reached a new all time high of $4.26 so almost given me 40x return so far so felt I had to take some more profit.
That's a lot of gain so congratulations to you. I want to ask if you don't mind, how much you invested on it and how much you gain in $?
Asking how much was invested in the altcoin is not necessary the most important thing is that some profits were realized because altcoins are very risky so if he made some good profits in the one he chooses to invest on is fine even if the investment may not be a huge sum.
Nah, I was just curious on how much he had started with and the actual gain. But he's not obliged to answer that.

I haven't made a lot of altcoin investing and that's why I'm only asking his actual profit and the capital that he has invested with it. If he's not going to answer it, that's fine and no worries.  Smiley

371  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pains and joy all together looking for way to balance it. on: May 18, 2024, 08:25:41 AM
With life experiences, there is joy for every ending of the pain. I'm not sure what kind of pain you're going through.

But remember that it's not always pain that you'll feel. Take time to realize of what you have and be grateful for them, there's joy in it trust me.
Sure but the other side which is pain 😩 is eating me up gradually, and I never feel or think of to give up on them at all , balancing it is just what am actually searching for .
Try to do something else.

Take time to do some fun things to do so you will not feel that pain currently. Pain won't last but I know how it feels when it's there.

That's why you need to do it and try to find it.

This topic remind me of so many things that has happened in the past how can we do it  if someone is in a situation of pain and joy ,all we need is results, but in actually sence pain 😩 is pain and joy is joy but they came together how can one balance the situations.

That's what we're seeing, and far from the actual reality. There's the distraction from the media of what actually is happening globally.

While the trade war is on it and we are affected all of us, the media focuses more with some entertainment news that they don't want to see a normal citizen should be.

We have nowhere to go and this geopolitics is going to continue to exist no matter who are sitting on those thrones for each superpowers that are working right now.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we increase the awrarness level for Bitcoin adoption on: May 17, 2024, 10:56:33 PM
In rural areas, that's true. Many of these areas are not updated with the modern technology that we're having so expect that they have never heard BTC.

IMO, there's no need for you to do something with that. But if you're persistent with that then try to start talking with the people in that neighborhood and just try to ask them if they have heard BTC or not yet.

With small talks, you're giving them the idea and background of what BTC is and also, you're also having some good talks with the locals there.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: May 17, 2024, 10:28:20 PM
~snip~
And the idea of making someone wealth from gambling is because you see other gamblers win big.

There is the reason behind that and that is because we always compare ourselves to the others. If we stop doing this and focus to what's the reason why we gamble, then we won't be moved with that and will do as is when we gamble.

It's good that you don't get upset when you lose. Many do are upset including me when I lose but I make sure that it won't affect me a lot emotionally.

And the thing is that a person winning big might actually still be losing.

You don't know how much they spent to get that prize.

It's all relative really, but in the end the most probable outcome is that the gambler will lose money.
That is true.

You do not have an idea on how much they have wagered all of their lives before hitting and winning big. That seem to be an easy thing to think of when we only see the wins.

But we set aside on the challenges and the losses that they've incurred over the period of time because they look easy when they've won big time.
376  Other / Off-topic / Re: I noticed about something of very successful and wealthy people If u talk them on: May 17, 2024, 09:55:19 PM
I noticed nobody dont tell how nice process it was most of them tell how hard and painful it was.
Because we only want to hear the success stories and not how they've gone through with the hardships and pains that they've been with.

And as a listener, we feel encouraged and inspired with them but it stops only there because we don't want to go with the same process as hearing those stories will discourage us.

We don't think that such success needed to get through tough challenges but that's how the typical process is. So, we only want to hear what we wanna hear.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 17, 2024, 09:24:08 PM
They're likely to be the face of the NBA and I agree. The old era of veterans and superstars are about to end anytime soon.

And going with Wolves and Nuggets match later, I want to see Nuggets end it already so that we see another match up. But a part of me is telling to see more of ANT to be honest.

May the best team win then.

Wolves dominated the Nuggets in each quarters of the game, the tough defense and that good rotations of the players, they are not willing to end this series pushing one more game, by looking and watching the game Nuggets offense is really bad they've been limited to score only 70 points bad shooting night for Murray and Gordon's help ain't been felt, Wolves didn't waste the money of all their fans and supporters as they come up strong showing how ready they are for today's game and they are not willing to take their vacation but instead pushing the series and see if how luck will help them to snatch the conference finals from the defending champ.
We are going to see another game.  Grin

I wasn't expecting that the Wolves will still prolong the series and they're going to put much score against the Nuggets. It's always like this when a team and its players are having a bad day and unlucky shooting.

It happened to the Wolves last time right? So, we're going to see the game 7 soon so still good luck to both of them. Whoever wins, deserves it.

What to do to save yourself
Save from what? from boredom?

Think of how many are unemployed and if you are getting bored, what kind of boredom you're having? Is it coming to the point that you want to quit your job?

Or at this point you're only bored? Then find something interesting to do while you're at your job.
379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 16, 2024, 11:58:59 PM
So we have SGA and ANT as the future of the NBA right now, and again even if they are eliminated in this series against Jokic and Luka, this for sure will stamped in their memory and will improved drastically in the next season. One hour the game will start between the Nuggets and the Wolves, I will definitely watch this game, but not betting though, just enjoying and may the best team wins and goodluck to all bettors.

I sold to Usdt and then with that Usdt I topped up my bags on 4 other altcoins I already have in my portfolio that I believe will do well this bull run.
You reroll it to other altcoins, good luck and hopefully you'd gain the same xx with that since the bull run is already in.

But if I am on your shoe, I'd take profit and portion for myself that I will spend to anything I want as a reward.
