1121  Other / Off-topic / Re: Questions for Satoshi Nakamoto on: December 12, 2023, 11:44:41 AM
All valid questions even the nonsense ones will be remaining left unanswered. Satoshi is gone forever and he has left already his identity, his pseudonym because let us say that he is still alive now.

He won't expose himself and go to public because he'd definitely be taken by the FEDs on an instant or someone's going to knock his door and he'll never know if they're from the government or private entities that are chasing after him.

Well, even if we want to know him personally. If he's just there around roaming still on the forum he has started and founded, he'd definitely have a smile on his face while reading technical and non technical threads or just some random topics.

Day 1 end for the ESL One Kuala Lumpur. Few surprises as 9 Pandas and LGD performing subpar. Gamin Gladiators lost map 1 to secret, that was out of the blue as well, as I was expecting GG to 2-0 that matchup.
Those that have 0 loss for this day 1, they've got advantage that they won't get out of this playoffs.

Whilst those that are under and part of the bottom 2 and 4, this is going to be hard for them. This is a points system and much worse if there's a tie on the day 3.

Most teams really need to do their best to take their momentums on the very first day because if they don't do so, they'll have hard time on the second and remaining days.
1123  Other / Off-topic / Re: ChatGPT anonymous access? on: December 11, 2023, 06:39:24 PM
I am not sure if the paid version allows you access them anonymously.

Even if you can, how can paying with your credit card keep you anonymous?
Well, you're right.

That doesn't make sense at all since you're still required to provide all of the details of the CC company that you're going to use for paying.

How about exploring with other AI websites that have the same feature as chatgpt and probably they have this feature, I don't know. Do the searching, friend.
1124  Other / Off-topic / Re: lending money to people. on: December 11, 2023, 04:37:35 PM
If they are friends, I am not expecting anything in return. I won't give the exact amount, I'd just give any amount that I am okay to forget it forever.

This is much better if I know the people instead of not lending them and they're going to feel bad about me. How about as a lender, I'd feel bad as well when they can't pay me which has happened for so many times.

So, giving a free amount but can't stretch to what they're asking.
1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A hero or a fool? on: December 11, 2023, 02:49:12 PM
Could be a hero.

And that is because most of us aren't aware that this is possible and this is one of the unique stories I guess that we can conclude if someone wants to get out of gambling, there's always a way.

Kudos to him.

But is this story is a real thing or we're just speculating that this can happen in real life and simulations are essential so that if someone encounters it in the future, he/she has an idea how to deal with it?
1126  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much will you run your AC? on: December 11, 2023, 01:40:35 PM
It depends on your location, if you're living on a condo style apartment then it's best to just open the windows and you get fresh air so you save the bills. Also, another factor is the cost of electricity from your city. If they're expensive, then it'd definitely be expensive.

If your house or apartment is single detached, you only have your front side to have window because the sides are going to be fire walls. Having said that, when the climate is too hot and humid, you have no choice but on it.

I guess electricity bills are better to pay if they're quite expensive to ease the climate than to go with the medical bills.
1127  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 11, 2023, 12:24:20 PM
This is due to the misbehavior of parents who are not good at raising and educating their children. Excessive pampering of wealthy children and the ease with which they obtain everything with complete ease will make them ineligible to bear responsibility themselves and will lead to their bankruptcy after the departure of their wealthy parents.
So the blame is primarily on these rich parents.
As parents, we need to show tough love to our kids. Because if not, they will not learn in life when they grow up.

Honestly, those who have lived being poor when they were younger. They are the people that have learned a lot with their lives.

You may see them buy some expensive stuff and luxuries but it is like a reward for all of their hard work for several years unlike the kids that have grown rich and are easy to spend their parents money.
Agreed, a rich kid that enjoys life with the luxury and spends big money never understand much about love. Parents doesn't give attention and the kids seek attention with the money. This makes them have the thoughts of having anything with money. Even the humans will be seen as commodities by some kids. When a kid have grown from a poor background he knows the value of a product as he/she had worked hard to get it. Majority of the problem gets solved through right parenting unlike poor/rich status.
Well, the perspective of the rich parent is that they've worked hard to give their kids a good life and that's also us. But everything has a limitation.

I'm sure that most of these rich parents are like that but sometimes, they go that much and becomes too spoiled and they can't them from being like that.
1128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 11, 2023, 10:38:35 AM
People should have already stacked up by now
We've been reminding them for so long and even before the halving dates, we've been telling them to stack as much as they can because they might not see these low prices that we've got now.

$40k+ is low? Yes for now because we don't know how high Bitcoin is going to multiply after the halving.

Those experienced holders here will tell the same thing. I know for the beginners it's hard to imagine and believe that, but take it from those who have experienced too many roller coasters, happy and frustrating moments on this market.
1129  Other / Off-topic / Re: Over 14 entire YEARS of Bitcointalk history - This is quite interesting! on: December 11, 2023, 09:33:59 AM
What was the craziest event you have seen here at Bitcointalk or BTC in general?
I always like the April fools event that's done yearly. It's once in a year and the concepts are always unique. There's always a year for theymos to think of new concepts that can be applied to that event.

And, if you're into iconic threads. You're going to like this thread below.

1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: December 10, 2023, 09:52:16 PM
Folks, cut the long quote. It doesn't look cool to be honest.

Referral bonus is a better way for us to earn as we are gambling in our favorite casinos. We can utilize the opportunity to earn more by joining the referral bonus system. Those that know how to refer people to a casino would earn more from referral system than those that just have the passion of referring but do not have a system in place or where that. An attract large numbers of gamblers to join them in the casino. If we are focus on referring even though it's our first time, we can still make money from that. I prefer to gamble and stay calm without bothering myself about referring people.
Those that know how to refer has the edge on this opportunity. But hearing just is much better than doing the actual thing because if you don't have a strategy in attracting new sign ups through your referral link, you'll just give up on it.
1131  Other / Off-topic / Re: You holds your tomorrow on: December 10, 2023, 07:45:02 PM
The fact is you can't hold tomorrow and you can't boast what's with tomorrow. You don't know what can happen tomorrow but you have the power and control of what's happening now.

While if it's about morning, just cherish the time everytime you wake up because you'll not know if the next tomorrow comes with uncertainty to yourself.

1133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone Deposited Money Into My Bitcoin Wallet. Can He Withdraw it? on: December 10, 2023, 10:44:34 AM
@OP that is a good payment term to you if you are also interested in investing in Bitcoin. As everyone have already told you.

That guy will not have anyway of getting or accessing your bitcoin because he doesn't own the private keys.

Now, your job is to keep the private keys and never show it to anyone. If you ever have saved it before making that wallet, do not save it on emails or any other cloud storages.
1134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whas this a smart move or stupid move? on: December 10, 2023, 09:46:46 AM
Well, if you seem to be okay with that burning fees as you save your balance there.

If I am on that position, I will get out of the kitchen as bonk probably have been into its peak and you will not know if it is still safe to go there.

Most folks have already cashed out their profits there.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: December 10, 2023, 08:20:26 AM
Observe yourself and see if you are going to get affected with most of your losses for your very first try with casino games that you want to play.

Do not forget to check the sets of game that bitvest has of ever you haven't chosen a casino yet.

It has a variety of games to play with.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Qatar's sovereign wealth fund eyes $500B bitcoin investment on: December 10, 2023, 07:21:17 AM
Not yet sure. But this news has been since 5 days ago. Here is one reference of the news.

--> https://blockonomi.com/huge-if-true-100k-bitcoin-god-candle-qatar-eyes-multi-billion-dollar-bitcoin-investment/

Well, it is a wealth fund so they should really look at assets they can invest in but if for Bitcoin. We need more news and confirmation from the Qatari government.
1137  Other / Off-topic / Re: ChatGPT anonymous access? on: December 10, 2023, 04:44:19 AM
It has the free version, so usually we are the product and that is why they are blocking TOR access.

I am not sure if the paid version allows you access them anonymously.

Have you seen it if it is like that?
1138  Other / Off-topic / Re: Making a New Year resolution plan is Important. on: December 09, 2023, 11:36:34 PM
New year, new plans, sounds good. But you don't need to wait for new year or new week to start something.
Exactly.

You don't have to wait each year's ending and the next year's opening for you to start something. All is a plan until they're all executed. Execution is the most important part.

If it's all about resolutions and plans, you are not doing any better. That's why with all of these things that we're planning all year long, how many of them have been executed or until now and next year, will they remain a plan and a resolution?
1139  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just be ignorant or invest just risk? on: December 09, 2023, 10:52:43 PM
Only one option? It's hard but being ignorant seems to be insulting in something where many people are doing good.

But with failures and making mistakes, there's a correlation of these two. If the failure isn't meant to be and the mistake is like an honest mistake, then that sounds music to my ears.

Anyway, I'd also want to avoid both as much as possible. I'm done doing lots of mistakes in the past though.  Tongue
1140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: December 09, 2023, 10:29:01 PM
Right, as long as it is an asset that's volatile then the risk can't be taken away. And with Bitcoin, it's more than just a P2P method and transfer that we can do because it's more used as an investment or store of value than a payment method.

In fact, if BTC feels safe, it is safe. but if you often worry about investing with the fear of loss in mind, anxiety will always come. This is where it is important to read and find out first what BTC really is specifically for those who want to start investing when they have entered and keep pressing the gas.
We've already figured out what BTC really is. Now, the purpose varies on the person if you'll see it as something very risky at all and your money won't be safe.

That's what people think of what risky is. Before it was all about the thoughts of being scam and now we're done with that era as everybody has accepted it already.
