IIRC, there have been threads or campaigns or bounties before that involved. I can't vividly remember if those were like giveaways or actual bounties and that's why they've got some idea about our community here.

They know where they've started and just like the other successful projects these days, this is the place where they have all come from before they've left this space and finally focused on their own journeys.

Well, if they can give some credits by just including the image of the forum on their articles or tweets or posts, that's already good enough IMO.

I think Didi Taihuttu is also on this forum, for those that don't know him. He's the one that's been on the news on 2016 about selling his house for Bitcoin.

1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos after the shutdowns of mixers on: December 06, 2023, 10:59:14 PM
~snip~
Don't think of it too much.

As long as they're paying their taxes, they're registered, they are licensed. There's nothing gonna happen to them just because some mixing company have been taken down.

I know that the worry is there because money laundering is no question in these casinos. But there should be a news already before if they're also on the hot seat of the regulators.
Yes, we should not think too much about it because well-known casinos will always try to comply with the regulations issued by the government. They won't try to break the rules even once because that could get the casino in trouble, and they might end up paying a fine for breaking the rules.

Money laundering cases will definitely continue, but people who launder money may also have found other ways or places to continue laundering money. We must stay at the casino that we have used to gamble, and that casino must be trusted and popular.
Well, that's a fact that money laundering activities will keep on happening and those that with lots of money that came from bad activities will still continue to do it.

While for those that are just casual gamblers, want to have some fun will probably be accused by the casino where they gamble because it happened to some users that they've been falsely accused.

The only way casino can stop laundering is by checking every deposit source which is very hard to maintain especially if you have tons of player actively making deposits and withdrawal.
It will take time if they're going to do that but with automation and AI, maybe possible.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help me not to leave btc on: December 06, 2023, 10:29:29 PM
And I think Bitcoin is about to hit the highest price ever, so how should I plan my dca strategy?
Ask yourself if you have money to DCA to Bitcoin. The plans are easy to make but the execution and doing it is what the hardest part to do.

We can give you the plans that you want to hear but upon hearing those, are you sure that you're going to follow all of it? Because with what I know, most of the people that asks advises from the other people, they don't take heed and won't follow.

That's why, you can do your own strategy on this one. Sell every stuff that you have that has no relation to Bitcoin and use that fund for buying it and in that sense, you're not going to leave Bitcoin.
1165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My btc and eth general trading stradegy best so far on: December 06, 2023, 09:59:02 PM
That's to simplify things but are you going to do that every time that you're in front of your computer or you bring your phone with you all of the time?

But that's a good strategy for buying orders and that's what others need to understand what it means to buy at low and not to miss any single opportunity when they knock.

However, that's why I've come to ask that question, because most exchanges allows you to put order and limit only once for each crypto.
1166  Other / Off-topic / Re: Im new here on: December 06, 2023, 09:28:57 PM
Well, for OP if you really were scammed and was able to recover it then that's so good for you. But let me just look at what happened to you.

It's like telling that you've been scammed, your ex-BF came to rescue you and traced the hacker with the name and all of her stuff/data.

And then asked to send you back the money. Hmmm, sounds a legit story and thieves won't do such acts like that IMO.  Roll Eyes
1167  Economy / Gambling / Re: are bookies fortunejack.com & rollbit.com trustworthy with larger amounts ? on: December 06, 2023, 08:48:58 PM
With fortunejack, they've been established and been here for so long and only a few complaints were there. With rollbit, you go to the scam accusations board and you see a lot of them.

Not saying that they're poor in service or what not but there's a difference between the two. And if you're going to deposit such amounts, you should do it little by little.

Both have been here for so long and IMHO, are good to 'fine' casinos.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: December 06, 2023, 08:18:07 PM
I don't understand why a person will lend a known gambler without providing a source of income?

Those lenders must be crazy if in fact that they're going to lend people money without the valid proof that they can pay it and if they're going to tell that they'll use it for gambling. That's a wrong thing to do.

But you're right, that if a lender provides loan money to that gambler. It is not guaranteed that he'd win with that money and will just make the situation worse.

Usually these two things are being look upon by a lender before money is disburse.

1- source of income (to determine the capacity to pay)
2- Collateral ( in case borrower will mess up)

So there's still a level of security favorable to the lender, they are in the business like this, so we can expect that they know what they are doing. Further, there are other lenders who offers huge interest, and your life is your collateral because if you fail to pay as promise, you know what to expect.
I forgot about collaterals and yes, there will be lenders that will be fine on it as long as the collateral has a bigger value than the lent money.

Well, it's a win for them if the borrower will not be able to pay that loan and they'd just take the collateral and sell it for a bigger chunk. They have profits there already whether the borrower has a source of income or none.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can't understand why Korea is in speculation on: December 06, 2023, 07:45:12 PM
Well, the thing here is just mind your own business and don't mind the others if they're investing into something else.

I know that it can be personal and you just want to help these people out with all of their decisions but nothing is going to change this time. And that's because you can't stop them from investing into altcoins.

If they don't like Bitcoin then let them do their thing alone as they invest their hard earned money on it. And what you can do now is to focus on investing in Bitcoin.

that is the good thing in this market. you can mind your own business and as the market sits, it is borderless. so no matter where you are on this earth, you are free to choose what you want to do when it comes to crypto.
Yes, there's no need to intervene with other affairs as long as you're doing well then that's good. You don't have to get worried with the situation of the others unless they're your friends, relatives or you know them personally.

But other than that, there's really no obligation for you to get into other's business. Just do well and make the best out of your shape on this market and that's it.

also, the OP didn't mention if he is in south or north? you can't blame some people to have different approach when you say you are in the north. the first thing that we usually associate them is kim jong-un.  Grin
Most likely South Korea.
1170  Other / Off-topic / Re: Reality Check: Do you believe this is true? on: December 06, 2023, 07:04:29 PM
This is a nice, inspiring topic, so I decided to bring it back up, thank you.
Yeah although I was confused and understand it later on.

This varies on everyone's belief. If it's about the thought that you can't have it then you easily give up and that's fine because not everything that we want to have on this life, we can't get as of the moment.

But don't you forget that sometime in the future, when you work hard and suddenly make that belief alive again, that positive attitude is going to help you and give you a better perspective about life and achieving things.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: December 05, 2023, 11:56:02 PM
Although Al is very popular instrument right now, but it still doesn't give you win guarantee.
Yes, that only gives you the upperhand that you are having a source that can give you some predictions whether they'll be good or not.

Anyway, it's better to rely on your own analytics.
Or trust your own instinct and wait for your own luck to come. The interesting part of this technology is like everyone is optimistic that it's going to take over everything even in the gambling industry.

For the casinos, it's gonna be useful to automate their processes but as an individual gambler, we might be quite far into looking into that productivity and help with our bets.

I am not going to compare myself with anyone as I don't find a good thing to do. But I know people that didn't graduate college but they're doing well in life.

I think that's the best thing to see from those people that have been unfortunate not to finish their college studies but to see them do well in life today, is a greater achievement.

They don't even need to prove it to anybody.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: December 05, 2023, 10:25:18 PM
Right mate this idea is completely wrong there are many gamblers who cannot gamble regularly due to lack of money and then they will be less inclined to gamble. In that case doing something like lending will make the person worse off. Who will guarantee it or who will get the loan back? Gambling depends on luck and never able to get money back if you lose. As the debt burden continues to increase as time goes by it is better to find a way to manage it rather than creating conflict between the two. Here the casualties will be less and there will be nothing of quarrels and disputes.
I don't understand why a person will lend a known gambler without providing a source of income?

1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $40k Price Target Achieved on: December 05, 2023, 09:48:03 PM
Finally, we are more than 40k level. People are in positive vibes because of this recent development.
Well, this is like our early Christmas and that's why the vibes have been positive all of these times.

But the fees are still high, maybe the volume of transactions are also quite high because of this price level.
Yeah, can't ignore that thing as we still need to do transfers when we want to sell. The top priority is going to cost us $14 this time and that's still a lot of money for most of us.

Also, when these seasons come, expect that there will be more "crypto influencers" posting their trades, charts as if they're great traders.  Roll Eyes
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos after the shutdowns of mixers on: December 05, 2023, 09:26:41 PM
All of those are possibiities.

But I don't think that they're going to take it seriously when majority of them are registered and have a trademark unlike the mixers that have unknown developers or owners behind.

Maybe they'll take it as a precaution to do their jobs better and monitor more players accurately. Other than that, I don't see something serious that shall go with the casinos.
Hopefully, nothing serious will happen to the casino, and the crypto casino can still run as usual. We can also use crypto casinos for gambling, as we have used before. But when the casino finds something suspicious in a gambler's account, they will investigate it thoroughly, and the casino may ask the gambler to verify their account to ensure that their suspicions are no longer necessary.

But the government can do something about casinos, especially casinos that are suspected of being places for money laundering. The government will tighten its supervision of the casino in case there are illegal activities carried out by members of the casino so that the government can follow up by contacting the casino. The government could require casinos to ensure that their members do not do anything illegal.

1177  Other / Off-topic / Re: Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming on: December 05, 2023, 10:21:01 AM
And now we do not have to wait anymore for the GTA 6 trailer. We only needed to wait 668 after the development was confirmed of it. And 3,730 days after the last GTA 5 was released.
It does sound like it will come out in 2025 maybe March. It will only be on the consoles PS5 and XBOX Series. We will need to wait longer for launch on PC.
I think those graphics make it look like a real movie. I will have fun playing the new stories with my nephews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdBZY2fkU-0
Yeah, there goes the trailer and the launching would be ideal for the console players out there as they get the first access to it.

While a PC gamer like me, then that means that I have to wait a little longer and that's gonna give me more time to finish first the GTA V since I've just started it and I'm still far from the ending.
1178  Other / Off-topic / Re: GTA 6 Trailer 1 is out on: December 05, 2023, 08:55:45 AM
Thanks for the link but we've got a thread already about it on this section as well and we've been waiting for that.

This thread --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5473298.0

Much better if we continue the discussions there about the said trailer and the other members have been there as well waiting for the release. Anyway, it's another version that we'll wait for 2024.
1179  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Time ! on: December 04, 2023, 11:53:27 PM
"The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind"-2019 can be in everyone's bucket list and one movie that you must watch available on Netflix.
I have seen being recommended on me because I've watched it on a short video film of its highlights. I honestly think that the whole movie is touching.

Yeah, this is a good suggestion to happy and it's the same to the genre of what he's looking for.
Movie that also made me cry , This movie is world class and how heroic the boy is for the whole community if not the whole country .
It's a true story so knowing that it's happened in real life and some kid on the other side of the world dealt with that hardship is truly giving the emotional feels.

Army of Thieves
Hmmm, it has got a different vibe from what OP is asking for. I've seen this movie and its genre is far from the Pursuit of Happiness.

Okay lets try to assess things on here;

Are there any casinos that had been shut down by the government just because of some privacy issues here on this market or into this forum itself?
I didnt remember any platforms who had been able to experience such thing but rather those platforms or companies had closed their doors usually in speaking or pertaining
about on not being profitable and not into some legal issues. They had been existing for a while but i dont see any situations that do connects out with legality
or some culprits in between the government.
I also don't remember one and that's why I am not thinking of it any single inch because there's a little to no chance that it will happen.

So i dont really see any connections in regarding with the recent mixers situations into these gambling platforms or businesses. They do function out differently
on which it is really just that a common approach.
Yes, and that's why we should just leave it there because it's not going to happen at least for now and let's just have that confidence that it will not going to come close unless for those that don't do their compliance that's asked to do.
