361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Precious Metals - the final verdict is in. on: October 10, 2023, 11:53:26 PM
Precious metals have made a lot of people rich and if you can remember the gold rush, many from that time became rich so that was likely the peak CMIIW.

And during that time, the other people that have became rich were those who sold shovels. Luckily, we're in a different era where Bitcoin isn't yet on its peak.

It's just even starting out and compared to the shovels, there goes the miners (ASIC) and another good thing on this one, Bitcoin isn't just limited from those things.

It's actually money that we can use to pay people unlike gold, needs to be converted to cash first which is the same for Bitcoin. But if you're transacting with a person or a shop that accepts BTC, you do P2P.

And having Bitcoin, you can carry it on your mobile wallet unlike gold, it is tangible and it's hot in the eyes of people that sees it.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: October 10, 2023, 11:03:23 PM
You have been holding for almost a year, cannot you decide what to do? sell it now or maintain the holding while there is something coming sooner.
Well. Those that cannot wait on what's about to come to BNB should take their moments thinking what's the best thing to do.

It's either hold or buy more for them so that they can see that there's gonna be a lot of room for it to move because the bull run is yet to come.

And if he's going to sell, I just hope that he won't regret that move later on when he's looking to the market and how it looks like.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of NFTs have a market cap of zero on: October 10, 2023, 10:21:50 PM
It is true that nft market experienced a very bad downturn. Nft traders are not interesting to buy nfts. NFT creation is very sample, newbie could also create it. The value of Nfts depends upon the utility and the creator. Many people purchase high price nft of big creator just with the thinking that the price will become high in the future. Binance also sell many nft in there launchpad. Unfortunately I also tried 2 NFTs but now price is no more than 5$ while I spend more than 50$.

I learned a good lesson that we should not enter in the trend and if enter than take profit in trend. 90% NFT projects proved scam and completely disappear after they got profit. Many well price nfts losing value and interest but it doesn't not mean that whole nft system is scam. Some projects are still done on real estate which could be proved best use case in the future
Minting was too easy and everyone can do that.

And the market of NFTs have been saturated and that's why it is no good to do because of what they've done so. If there's still a market on it, as with the percentage given.

I'm believing that most of them were already out of the market and small communities are just trying to revive it just to sell what's left on them.
364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 09, 2023, 09:07:16 PM
In the world of cryptocurrency trading, where every minute counts, the choice between a standing desk and a traditional chair can be a topic of hot debate. I've spent 15 years on trading floors, and I've experienced both sides of the spectrum. Standing desks have their perks, offering potential health benefits and increased alertness, which can be crucial for making quick decisions in the volatile crypto market.
It's true that standing in front of computer is better than having a chair and sit for a long period of time. Doctors tell that it's needed to have a longer standing position than a sitting position.

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world? Have you tried it, and did it work for you? Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours? Let's dive into this discussion and share our insights on finding the perfect balance between health and productivity in the crypto trading world. Your experiences and opinions matter, so let's hear them!
Being fit has its benefits for sure and it's not just standing but whichever you prefer to make yourself more alert and have a clearer mind, that's what you should do.

Whether you are in a sitting position as it helps you more relax than standing. The choice differs and depending on the situation of every trader.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) Pumps 10% As Elon Musk Links Memecoin To X on: October 09, 2023, 06:43:25 PM
A Dogecoin video artist just helped create an animation for Twitter’s “X” logo that was picked up by Elon Musk.
Dogecoin (DOGE) shot up another 10% on Tuesday on greater excitement surrounding Elon Musk’s rebranding of Twitter to “X”.
Tuesday’s rise follows a related post on Musk’s Twitter, where the tech mogul appeared to link X to the famous dog meme. Source
Like what the heck?

It's not all about that incident if Dogecoin is up yesterday. People always tend to say that it's all because of Elon things that made Doge up.

Maybe? But it's most likely that the volatility that's coming from Bitcoin made all of these things and that's what people need to realize and stop relying on these hypes of pump and dump from a single personality.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to know about Bitcoin Halving on: October 09, 2023, 05:09:31 PM
Charles' explanation is more precise than of that you've shared OP because that reddit post is about the economical effect of halving.

And if you're going to get that much information about Bitcoin halving, there are plenty of it from this forum than of many sub reddits because info there are like scattered and can be found everywhere.

About the topics of halving, you can freely search it on the top right box of it to see them.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralization vs. Decentralization on: October 08, 2023, 08:32:37 PM
But, do we need to acknowledge that both can coexist?
Yes, they are both coexisting and there can't be just decentralized or centralized.

That's why it is needed for most of us to know the importance of having both of it. In the past, if it's about hacking incidents, both of these platforms have been targeted by hackers.

And that means that there's no safe one on this one because hackers are targeting those areas that has money but it is that many of decentralized platforms or exchanges have a weaker security.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you the spot/Future Trader Then this is the best tool for you. on: October 07, 2023, 11:11:28 AM
Let's adhere to what you say that there's no other tool that offers 125x leverage. Exchanges themselves have their own times of leverage so with that, there's really no need to leverage with that much.

Are you a pro trader? Well, you probably also know that it's a risky multiplier when you do leverage but anyway, that's what leverage is all about.

But going with leverage trading, you don't really need a bot or software to do that in exchanges.
369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most risky adventure you must avoid on: October 07, 2023, 09:41:57 AM
However, the worst risk in the world which I am here to advice everyone at this moment is that it is MOST RISKY  not to take risk.
All great men of our time, have taken one risk and the other, break the barricade of fears and venture into the uncertainty as you uncover your potential.
This is true.

Those that are rich now, took risks. Not just for once but for so many times, well, lucky for those that have taken it for once and they're able to succeed with it.

This is not just about trading, this is about anything connecting to human life. Let this words be taken beyond the four walls of trading to every aspect of human life and see the result thereafter. Most important message here is to take a calculated risk
I agree.

It's for everything that we do and not just all about trading. Everything that has two results, losing and winning, success or failure, they have their own risks. And about calculated risk, you either do it safely or go all in on it if you do believe what you're about to do.
370  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: October 07, 2023, 08:28:09 AM
We know the oil market is booming and countries with oil resources are really making a huge fund out of it and sometimes they do it at the negligence of another local natural resource.

But, of course, the agricultural sector, though not given the proper recognition and the required investment is one sector that contributes seriously to the development and dependence of most nations .

No matter how blessed a country is with oil minerals, if its agricultural sector isn't working and she has to rely on other country for her food and agricultural resources then in event of war or political differences they might suffer.

Agriculture vs oil, which is the big deal when it comes to the economic strength of a country?
Both.

With oil, even with the popularity of EVs it's still needed and the same goes with the agriculture. Both are needed and there's no need to have a debate on it.

I think those countries that are rich in oil and knows how to manage it really takes care of themselves even without agricultural lands just look at the middle eastern countries like Saudi, Dubai, etc.

Whilst for the agricultural lands, they have their food country and that's also another form and sign of good economy.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: October 06, 2023, 11:39:40 PM
Not only crypto, you shouldn’t be talking about any of your investments under any circumstances. Don’t tell your friends, family members, your boss, coworkers about it. They don’t need to know your finances. If you make money they will get jealous. If you lose money, they will be happy. Either way they will find a way to make you unhappy. So why do it? Keep it to yourself. You’ll be doing yourself a favor not telling them trust me.
I agree but I make an exception to my immediate family but not with close relatives. Unless they ask about it and eager to hear about you, it's your decision to tell them a bit of your story or better just keep it as a secret.

Whilst jealousy is a real deal not just with your family, relatives and friends. If you're keeping it from them then you shouldn't also tell it to random people or strangers.

Sometimes you might even get robbed because the word is out: “This guy is filthy rich!” There is no way this can bring any good on you. The more attention you gather on yourself, the worse it will be.
Exactly, also might asked for a personal loan but about all of that is you're right about being attacked by a $5 wrench.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MultiversX (EGLD) is the next Bitcoin on: October 06, 2023, 10:47:43 PM
I thought of another EGLD for that ticker. Is this the old name and rebranded its name or not?

But with projects telling they're gonna be the next Bitcoin, I'll just say good luck to all of you and if that's your preference that's okay as long as you're using your own funds in investing on it.

Having that prediction that's like need to be 200 times of gain, not percent but times is quite high but who knows what's in it on the bull run.
373  Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle on: October 06, 2023, 09:59:34 PM
No matter how tallied your analysis and predictions backed and based with good and accurate data, you'll never know how its attitude towards the market is when its feature is unpredictable.
Always anticipate those probabilities or chances and this is why it would be always relevant on setting out some plan B just in case the market didnt move as planned.
I agree.

Having a plan is a must because you'll not know if from this cycle, there will be some catch or it will just the same in the past. And that's why it is better to be prepared than not.

There will be good analysis with history of back up but still the unpredictability remains for Bitcoin that you should always expect.
374  Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle on: October 05, 2023, 11:06:22 PM
We're all that belief that history repeats itself but when it doesn't, that's not an unsual thing.

What we can conclude for this September is that the always thing that matters for Bitcoin as a description and that is it's being unpredictable.

No matter how tallied your analysis and predictions backed and based with good and accurate data, you'll never know how its attitude towards the market is when its feature is unpredictable.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardwork pays not luck! on: October 05, 2023, 09:13:48 PM
It was also seasonal when you've earned that much in bounties. And it's like just the end of that time because 2018 was a bear market.

Well, it is true that hard work always pays off than luck but with those bounties you've joined. It's likely that luck was also with you during those times.

And it's a well advantage for you as you've got a corporate job that you have nothing to worry about bi-weekly, weekly or monthly salary while doing something else like what you do.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When are we going to see the mempool empty again and 1sat/b confirmations? on: October 05, 2023, 07:07:22 PM
We're breathing fresh air once again. It seems the mempool is now free of dead monkeys, or perhaps only a few are left. I don't know if it hit 1 sat/vB for high priority transactions ever since the ordinals took over the mempool, but yesterday it went as low as 2 sat/vB. Right now, it's still low at 4 sat/vB.
I missed that.

Was it a high priority when it's got down to 2 sats/vB and 4 sats/vB? High priority is at 30 sats/vB and low is at 11 sats/vB.

Yeah, those were the fees for high priority transactions. I didn't take a screenshot when I checked the mempool. But I think OP has posted some pics. The plunging fees and draining mempool were also the talk even outside this forum. Anyway, you can check on the chart below how things were much lower yesterday and the other day. But changes were fast. Of course, that's expected. Many were waiting for the fee to go down and when it did they quickly took advantage of it. That's always the cycle.

~img~

Anyway, below is the screenshot of the situation right now. It has gone down again. It's always best to check the mempool first before broadcasting transactions to take advantage of the transaction fee fluctuations.

~img~
Ahh, that was just a quick clean up and then went up again. As I have posted that response yesterday, it was higher than this time so there's an improvement that we're seeing from the mempool and fees have gotten lower and hopefully will continue to do so.

Perhaps. I hope it wasn't because we already resigned to the thought that the monkeys have already taken over the network.
I guess that changes now because we're starting to see that fees changed positively and crossing fingers that these spams/ordinals will just be there and won't impact anymore the fees.

There wasn't much who participated in the poll but it's funny how the majority thought this will not subside ever again. Many also thought this will only subside next year. Little did they know it would only take even less than a month for it to clear out. Perhaps even OP wasn't expecting this since the shortest option in the poll was 1 month.

Just like any hype, those monkeys couldn't live long.
It probably because we're getting used to the higher fees and that's why most of us likely did just let it go and thought that it will take any longer.
378  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: October 04, 2023, 09:54:10 PM
I think we should be more careful about managing our funds for trading. Without proper money management no matter how great or experienced a trader you are there could be a big loss waiting for you. The market changes drastically in crypto so money management can protect your portfolio from every kind of risk. It can eliminate the risk of damage from emotional decision making as well.
Losing doesn't choose any type of trader, it comes to all forms and you are right that whether you're great in everything the time of losing is going to come no matter how good you are.

But the advantage with that is you know how to manage the risk and in spot, you're likely having more idea on how it goes and what timeframes you'll use to spot on good trades.

A trader can not get a 100% positive result from every trade. All of the traders fall into situations situation when their trading skills and analysis fail to serve them. Professional traders manage to handle this kind of situation and lower the impact of losing trades by developing great money management strategies.
Yes.

All of the traders, can't get 100% despite all the experiences and the analysis that can be given to their trades. It's already part of how trading is.

So a new trader should focus on building their own money management strategies first.
Like in what we tell in gamblers, they have to trade and start with capital that they can learn from their mistakes and afford to lose.
379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: October 03, 2023, 11:52:24 PM
For Spot trading, you can use DCA or Dual Investment method. Since you said you have studied the market and know how it works, it will be easy for you to use. Just get the price at a low price and sell when it gets high.
DCA is more ideal for holders than the spot traders.

380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: October 03, 2023, 10:52:54 PM
No service is free in Cryptocurrency. All crypto influencers charge a fee to promote a project. And what they do for money can never be honest advice. This is a major source of their income. So I don't follow any such influencers.
If they're saying that they're not charged to promote, don't believe with that word.

These influencers are making money from influencing their audiences and fans with anything they say. And if they truly are not paid to do that, there could be some x deal behind that.

Or way better offer than being paid but like having a share on how much it will be for the percentage of profit after the promotion done by them.
