@OP, about the addresses, there could really be the same addresses that are being supported in differet networks or chains just as what you've posted.

And about your friend being hacked, let's say that there's something to do with the wallet especially if it's unknown and the developers of it are saving those keys and gains access to their users.

But a reputable one doesn't have that control to all of their users. I'm guessing that this is another fault of the user for which your friend has been a victim of phishing or has downloaded a malware.
1342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 19, 2022, 11:51:04 PM
Well, we can simply look at our situations individually. Then for sure that many would be stucked to what they've been used to be like not being financial educated.

Bitcoin has been one of the push for those that are not aware of their financial status. And if we go back to our former lives, then it would hard for most that didn't see the innovation and the contributions of bitcoin made to our lives.
1343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did a business proposal of paying 440 nights this Hotel for 1 BTC, October/2022 on: October 19, 2022, 10:58:05 PM
Well, they can just agree to take the whole bitcoin at current rate and then exchange that quickly so they basically get the $$ value from it which is around $19,000.

So, it's up to them if they'd be willing to go for negotiation to accept that 1 BTC and then they'll do the exchanging. It's not looking complex at all if the management knows how to do it.

How much is one night accomodation there? They'll have to compute it and for sure that some discounts will be applied if possible with that long stay.

What about the use of mixers. Will it also tell where the money is coming from? We know that mixers hide this things eventhough there are on the blockchain. So how is anyone going to trace it to its dirty source? Please explain this to me to understand.
They can't distinguish that unless they've got an experiment and did on their own and got the sending address from their receiving address from the experiment through the use of a mixer.

What they can do is to block that address and if that's the only address that the mixer is using to send their mixed coins, they'll detect the source. However, that's not how mixers work and it's an unlikely situation to happen.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2022, 09:11:19 PM
Kemba Walker is waived by the Detroit Pistons today?

This is really shocking because the used to be playing like a star in his early career as an NBA player but injuries got him good. It seems like the league really wanted to spend on healthy players nowadays instead to gamble on unstable players that might gonna cost them millions of dollars in mistake if they are not careful.
It's all about business, whoever is healthier, they'd be willing to invest more money on them instead of those that were already injured but didn't went back on shape.

Do you guys think that despite his size, he can still be a role player for some teams in the league?
If, no further injury would come to him then he can still be a contributor to a team. But, what team is willing to take him now? I've looking for some news but happened found a team interested to take him in.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 18, 2022, 10:47:13 AM
It's better to look at those attributes as something that makes bitcoin unique by having those as its features. But the best thing that can be said about bitcoin is that it's our own money that we hold.

No need for the banks to hold our own bitcoin because we will do it for ourselves. Don't forget that there are many incidents about the banks that are not allowing their depositors to get their own saved money.

Isn't it that Poole has already signed a contract for them with a 4-year deal? Or it's possible that they may trade him with a higher contract from other teams if some teams want him?

Is that how things work for these contracts and there's an option for the management to do that type of deal?

He can be traded but there's no way he will get a higher contract in a new team. The contract would still stands and he will only be paid on what is in the contract,  if the new team will give him increase, that's not part of the contract, it's another one.
Like a team that will buyout his contract? That's possible, right?

Jordan Poole has 1 more year in his old contract with GSW.
What happened was a contract extension already waiting to be signed, or it was signed already.

https://www.spotrac.com/nba/golden-state-warriors/jordan-poole-31587/
It's a big one. So obviously they won't be extending Draymond Green's extension because that will be a huge luxury tax if they do so.

About the trade, I think they put more value on Jordan Poole so they can trade him if they want for an equal value with other teams.
That means they can get a better player/s in exchange for just one.
All right, thanks.

So, they're betting on Poole as he's got more potential to be at his peak and prime rather than Green since he's likely past his prime. I got it and well, this how the trading business goes for these teams.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 18, 2022, 08:48:30 AM
With how GSW handles the case of Poole and Wiggins, it indicates that there's a possibility that they are willing to pay more for taxes.
As long as it's on their choice of keeping both of them with the option to pay for more taxes and it's affordable to them, they'll pick that option.

Only a matter of the outcome of this new season chase. If all goes well for the business, then expect that they will negotiate and give
something that will make these two stars to continue playing and stay.

1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain (dot) com refuses to close my wallet on: October 17, 2022, 11:02:45 PM
I have asked many times to Blockchain (dot) com to close my wallet but Blockchain just ignores me and doesn't close the wallet.

I have to close it for fiscal reasons and I can have a very negative impact due to Blockchain behavior.

I have a wallet with 1 Stellar XLM and Blockchain doesn't allow me neither to sell it, to send it nor to close the wallet.

Can someone help me?

Just ignore and forget about it.

AFAIK, they have an exchange and most exchanges have minimum amount to sell/buy. 1 XLM is just worth $0.11. Do you think that it will be allowed easily by that platform?

I don't think so because you lack from the probable minimum amount of exchanging that they have. The best that you can is not to think about it anymore and forget them with your account.
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 17, 2022, 10:37:11 PM
I agree with you. As he has reached the end of his prime, asking for such a huge contract was not the right option for him in my opinion. Maybe he could have asked for a bit less. This is because he should know that he won't be able to deliver the same quality of games as he used to even a few years back. Yes, I have to say that he is quite lucky that his contract is even being considered. I feel that he may have a hard time saying goodbye to GSW because he has served them for quite a long time and also hope that he will let his contract with GSW expire, by this he will get a well-deserved farewell.
And he's might not able to ask that again since he's already pass his prime.

He's still lucky that he's got a good contract and for sure that he's going to stay with the winning team that he's been with and would still like to have that championship for this season.

Didn't he said that he wants to get into the Lakers? That's what I can remember from some news that I've seen.
1351  Economy / Economics / Re: MNCs and it’s impact on developing countries. on: October 16, 2022, 11:59:03 PM
Multi-national companies use developing countries as their base ground for manufacturers or we can say for labor forces. Cheap labor, cheap land, and cost-effective transportation are some key points that make developing countries a hot cake for multinational companies. All the telecom companies in Bangladesh are owned by foreign companies.
It's profitable to them as the cheap labor, cheap accomodations and cheap expenses for their whole operatio is what makes them go for those developing countries.

The impact of it on that country is huge.

They're onboarding their people to these companies and giving them jobs and that's adding to the GDP of that country. And these companies are like predicting what the government of that country what they can freely do or else, they'll pull out which is a threat.
1352  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why DCA Strategy on: October 16, 2022, 11:20:27 PM
...DCA is one of the best of it and it's very effective at these times.

In order for the DCA strategy to be effective, it is necessary to properly allocate your funds for upcoming purchases, as well as correctly set the price at which you should start making such purchases. Otherwise, you will spend all your money, and the price will continue to decline and you will not be able to make next purchases.
Just allocate depending on your budget, whether it's tight or not.

As long as you're doing the DCA based on how free you can do it and the most important matter of it is that you're consistently doing it because that's what it should be.

That's the good thing in DCA if you bought now and then suddenly price fell, you can even enjoy it more to buy at the dump.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 16, 2022, 10:47:39 PM
I have that mindset that celebrities posting bets or giving some tips about the brands that they're sharing is that, they're paid to do it.

That's why I'm not going to let them affect my betting preferences and where I gamble. I know that there are die hard fans and that's why some casinos have partnerships with a known celebrity because they know that it's got a lot of loyal fans.

They'll do whatever their idol is doing.

he is being paid as endorser but we don't know about his bets. drake is known to bet huge amount of money, and he can afford it. he has a lot of followers so more then likely, some of his fans got their interest in gambling owed to him. but for one, they should not bet big if they have no financial capability.
drake is a different level of bettor, who we can consider as a high roller. not all fans can afford such lifestyle. in my case, i won't be influenced by my favourite celebrity, they don't care what you're doing in life. so just take care of your own business.
That's it, he's paid and we don't know if those bets are personal or not and is according to the terms of his partnership with them.

Btw, it's just my mindset and there's nothing to think about it and I know people will follow their idol wherever they go and will also consume whatever they advertise to consume.

The same goes for a casino that they're exposing and advertising on their own handles.

1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum is Dropping After the Merge? on: October 16, 2022, 09:45:24 PM
If the merge was supposed to fix many of Ethereum’s problems, why is its value still tanking? Huh Huh
It should have fixed its problems but set aside that its problems are not its price and both are different things.

As it tanks right now, you can see that we're in a bear market and that confirms the slow motion of Ethereum on its price increase. That validates the idea that during the bear market.

Whether there's a very good news for the top projects, that won't do because it's the bear that's dominating at this time.
1356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Payed trading person to follow on: October 16, 2022, 09:02:09 PM
This is correct, while I do not agree with the idea of copying someone else or relying completely on them if someone is looking to do something like this then it is a huge mistake to think they are going to find a legitimate group at telegram of all places, when we know the place is full of scammers which want nothing but to get your money through all means possible, so if someone is looking for something like this their best bet is to use an exchange with this feature.
There are features that allows copy trading but it's not that good at all if someone will rely on completely. That's a wise strategy if we're going to think of it.

But doing that, you'll eventually realize that it doesn't look good if you'll be copying others way of trading because it might not work for you.

I guess for starters, it's a good way to start trading but if you've already learned the basics, make your way to your own strategies.
1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 years ago on: October 15, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
We like progress and that's hell of a kind for bitcoin.

I don't know, maybe if I'm holding bitcoin or bought at that time. There's a big tendency that I might have sold when it goes $50 - $100 or a thousand.

It's not that easy to hold for so long unless you've forgotten that you have it all of these years and suddenly remembered. That happens for some instances.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need to ask this before I order for a Hardware wallet on: October 15, 2022, 11:19:52 PM
You won't anything to worry about if it's on a hardware wallet like Ledger wallet(Live) and Trezor. Both have good reputation in the community and they're both supporting XRP deposits.

I'm using Trezor T and I can vouch for this. I've bought it last year using some of my profits during the bull run that time. The software and hardware itself constantly updates to prevent security issues. It's easy to setup once you bought it since the instructions are very simple and clear to understand. I got it at around 210$ last year since there is an official seller in our country.
Nice, good buy for you.

I haven't owned a Trezor any model but has Ledger's old model and still didn't able to upgrade since some of the latest versions has got some issues that I've read.

If there's really a new for me to buy a new one, I might look at Trezor so that I got two of the known hardware wallets.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 15, 2022, 10:50:13 PM
If you are playing gambling for example slots and you double money with just a couple of bets on very early part of your game. Will you stop already or continue playing to earn more?
Can do both depending on my emotion.

I can keep the bankroll I've got and then keep going with the profit that I've made until everything is gone and lost. But it's better to walkaway with the profit and capital.

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  Cheesy
You need to practice yourself controlling it because you'll lose more if you keep on doing it.

~snip~

Let's just be optimistic that Zion is much different this time and fortunately, it was just a minor injury.
We are optimistic but some events can't be controlled and that's frustrating when I've heard it again but then suddenly turned into nothing to worry about.

I'm optimistic about him and the media and everyone's attention is on him.

Let the kid do the work because I believe he can still make a difference, he is not that prone just like the other players who ended their careers much earlier.
Yeah, moving forward and waiting for him to give some good numbers to the Pelicans.
