1201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can We Consider This Casino An Industry Giant In Marketing Here In Bitcointalk on: November 30, 2022, 08:20:25 PM
They make tons of money and every single penny they spend on marketing is on a budget that's not really going to hit them bad. But if they're spending that much per week or per month then it only means they have faith to the marketing style as it works for them.

Just like any other casino or brand that's not on the forum but spends a lot of money on advertising on social media or into the banners that we mostly see through google ads.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF Confirmed He Will Be Speaking at NY Times’ DealBook Summit on: November 30, 2022, 07:22:31 PM
How can Sam Bankman-Fried be allowed to speak at the New York Times DealBook Summit?
Connections.

I think it's pay back time to those that he has supported when he's still at the peak. Donating money here and there and to the democrats and that's why he's taking all the benefits right now.

People even want him in jail but look, he's free out there having talks and I guess this won't be the last appearance he'll have but there could be more.
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: November 30, 2022, 06:22:58 PM
@OP, bitcoin is at the right path and every project that will make a new blockchain of their own and new token for which they think is better than bitcoin is going nowhere.

There have been gazillions of that type of projects in the past years of bitcoin's existence and most of them didn't survived at all. That's why many will tell you if it's bitcoin, it's like the assurance in this market but when it's about any other altcoin, you'll be not sure with most of them.
1204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon buys rights to produce and distribute an FTX miniseries on: November 29, 2022, 01:36:50 PM
While the news and event is still fresh for FTX. Film makers and producers see that they can make money from the hype that its brought.

Like the other stocks and economy markets even the gamestop, it's already on netflix. I'm sure that these series' that they're trying to build isn't just all about showing the other side of the story.

But it's all about making money on them as the interest of the audience is still there and they can't just miss it.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: Effect of Fake Bitcoins demand for the real One on: November 29, 2022, 10:41:37 AM
Bitcoin's ATH and increase has something to do with demand and supply but one thing that can't be removed is about the printing of Tether. Whether we like it or not, that really contributes big to the price of bitcoin.

People's laziness in withdrawing their money from platforms makes real Bitcoin less valuable?
I don't think there's direct impact on it. Whether people are lazy to withdraw, it's still the same as what the market is showing. I'm thinking about those news about whales moving funds in and out of exchanges. That don't give that much impact these days until the exchange happens.

What would happen if everyone decided to withdraw their coins? And how will it affect real bitcoins.
Probably the impact of it isn't on bitcoin but more with the exchanges where people are pulling out their funds. Demand will be less on them and they'll do something to take back those pulled out funds on them again.

If these actions continue, can these platforms influence the price of bitcoin and reduce it by arbitrage or shorting between them?
Most likely, yes.

Like with what these owner of exchanges done, we didn't even know that they're doing something behind with people's fund. It's like when they're using people's money and everyone gets to know about it.

Then, the chain reaction is there, it's a domino impact.
1206  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BlockFi files for bankruptcy protection. on: November 29, 2022, 08:33:19 AM
Someone has already posted this news about BlockFi filing for chapter 11 - bankruptcy. The thread[1] was posted on the Exchanges section and it's better if everyone's going to continue the discussion there as that's the first thread that's been made for the said topic.

1207  Economy / Economics / Re: Is a ban on Retirees Cypto Account a fair deal? on: November 28, 2022, 11:43:12 PM
That's for sure related to what happened in Canada with retirees money swindled by FTX.

It's fair to think about the welfare of the retirees and on how they're going to spend well their pension. But, it's still up to them when they have the control of their funds.

Whether they'll spend it on a cruise, a vacation or into investing it on bitcoin. As long as the management of handling the money to them is good, next to it is their decision making and government shouldn't intervene with personal interest and actions.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't a religion. on: November 28, 2022, 09:42:40 PM
I got this very topic phrase"Not A Religion from one of my favourites in the community (Bitcointalk forum).
This very topic rang a bell in my heart because I had to read her response on a topic over and over again and I really do agree with her that Bitcoin isn't a religion
Most people see Bitcoin as a religion and a must to believe in it and and feel left out if they aren't.
I disagree with you, I don't think that most sees bitcoin as a religion. Whoever said that is just speculating that everybody thinks that bitcoin is a religion.

What is better to think is that, this is a community, a movement for which comes from different parts of the world.

One of the reasons people who believe so much in Bitcoin is the possibility of making money with minimal effort.
With that in belief, that means that religions make money so as bitcoin if perceived as a religion?

Do you really see Bitcoin as a religion?
No.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They want your money by all means possible on: November 28, 2022, 08:46:53 PM
I always check the projects through other projects, whether they have been followed on Twitter, or any other means of social media by verified projects, For example, if some projects are followed by Coinmarketcap, Binance, Kucoin, and some other top accounts, so I think about these projects. So, this is also a way to look over.
But that's not enough, there are communities of projects that have been made with fake followers though I think you know what I mean and they're easy to be figured out.

If there's not that much interaction on that project then that only means that they're not real followers and probably used a following service from any third party to make it look like they have a lot of followers.

And the engagement isn't there because you see little active people to none.
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn 9-10% APY using USDT and a simple strategy on: November 27, 2022, 11:45:16 PM
9%-10% of interest rate APY is reasonable and that's like the normal rates. But it's starting to make me worry about things when FTX has fallen and other companies that has relative service for giving interest to the deposits on their platform closed down.

The logic of earning from these interest rates is having huge deposits so that you'll also earn bigger from it. But with turn of events right now in the sphere, it's worrisome that they might collapse or file for bankruptcy while your deposits are still with them.
1211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: November 27, 2022, 10:55:10 PM
Collect potential Alts Bear market.
Some may really be good to be collected and yes, just do it only with the ones that has the potential because I've seen with the many that they're doing it wrong.

Every time someone calls that it's a good coin with a potential, they're all rushing to buy it without any single doubt of trying to learn what's with it and if it's really true.

But to remind, not all alts that have soared during the bull run could show the same results and be back again.
1212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cold storage ALL your crypto or withdraw fiat into your bank account NOW!!! on: November 27, 2022, 09:57:01 PM
That's what I've done for a long time before I've acquired my hardware wallet. I've also read it from someone in the forum and found it as a good suggestion.

I did have an old laptop and connected it for a while in the internet so that I can download Electrum and then did the transfers and kept bitcoin on that wallet I've from that laptop and took a long time until I've connected it back again for doing transfers during the bull run.

It's a good alternative but just make sure that you're putting it on a good surface that no one can ever touch it except you.
1213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin? on: November 27, 2022, 09:02:18 PM
Leaving sentiments asides, will you advise someone to still buy some Bitcoins (Not up to the value of 1)  if they have an amount of money that will be okay to purchase the equivalent of 1 of a good altcoin with a strong community? Is having some bitcoins (in decimals) more valuable still than having the value of one good altcoin?
Definitely.

Owning bitcoin is much better than owning any altcoin. There will be the debates about that altcoins have gained more than what bitcoin has gained and that's okay.

If you think that there will be an altcoin that will gain more than bitcoin then suggest it to the others or do it on your own. But by having bitcoin, it's like having an assured asset in this world of cryptocurrencies that's majority of it is volatile.
1214  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will Be bottom Of BTC in 2022 Year ( Current Price= $16000 ) on: November 26, 2022, 10:52:21 PM
It's always been difficult to see it rise when it's keep on going down. FTX is already done but it is the crowd that keeps on following what will happen to them.

It's like a never ending story because the founders haven't yet put into jail.

Don't forget about Luna, it's also one of the reason why the market has gone down or simply, we're in a natural bear market and things has to happen.
It seems that since the prolonged Covid cases, plus Russia's intervention, purchasing power has continued to decrease and everyone has to prioritize.
This impact is at least experienced by crypto, not to mention the cases of Luna and FTX, which makes many refrain from making investments waiting for the situation to recover.

I don't think there will be any significant change for the bitcoin price and it will remain stable and quite stable at its current price range ($15K-$25K) until the end of the year.
instead it will start to continue to fall in 2023 where it is estimated that this is the year of the world economic crisis.
it remains only to hope with the upcoming halving phase. where there will be repetitions with improvements that will certainly occur after the halving phase.
always remain optimistic even though it still takes a long way to reach this period of improvement.
But despite all of that, I honestly think that the crypto market is still in good situation considering all of these events happened at the same time.

If we'll go back in time and this has happened, I guess that we'll see the lowest price that bitcoin can do. But no more going back to the past and we have to deal with it currently.

Having an optimistic mind will also prolong you on this market just like me and the others that have been considered staying quite long.
1215  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think that we will see 13500 Dollars In 2022 on: November 26, 2022, 09:41:04 PM
I personally think Bitcoin will keep dropping in price slow and steady in the next months with a few spikes here and there but nothing spectacular.
That's most likely that can happen.

AFAIK, during this season when bitcoin is sluggish and not that much action happening, eventually the price won't soar but instead will do the opposite which is going to be dumped.

Are we back at the capitulation period? This is going to be another roller coaster ride and we don't know how low it could go before this year ends.
1216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: November 26, 2022, 08:43:26 PM
Everyone do their best to win with all trades that they do.

But being invested to your emotion is going to make you lose even more. That's not a good thing as a trader because you're going to overthink and that emotion you're feeling will make you want to be perfect with those trades that you do.

And you have to remember that no one's perfect even done with some strategies, it's just not enough and there will be days that you can't win against the market.
Emotions and lack of knowledge are the top reason why many traders still suffer from a big losses and I see that as a normal scenario for every trader. We can be good sometimes with our few trades but remember, this is a risky way of making money so we can’t guarantee any profit. Expect for the worst when you trade carelessly but if you do it properly with good strategy, then you can be more profitable. Being a trader is not an easy job, do your best always to find the best entry and don’t focus with your emotion.
When you do something that you don't know of, you can't expect to be productive with it and that's why lack of knowledge is one of major reason.

Trading carelessly without any plans of learning from it is throwing money to the exchange and you expect nothing in return. But if you have plans of doing yourself a favor and you want to learn with the futures, you'll do something about it.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Users Can Now Verify The Bitcoin They Own Via Merkle Tree on: November 26, 2022, 10:27:49 AM
For every system that's been made, there will always be a loophole for it. We may not see it for now since it's just new but wait until several months or years and we'll see another fiasco.

Maybe it will be made by other competitor of Binance or it will be Binance itself.

CZ is stepping up the game for the exchanges and asking to follow him by doing such through merkle tree. On the otherhand, those that want to see their reserve funds, it's a good thing.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF another New York Times speaker on: November 26, 2022, 09:18:13 AM
This is the power when you've got, influence, money and network.

I'm expecting some mad off people that will be at the audience will throw some rotten tomatoes at him as he speak. If that really happens, I can't blame the person that will do such thing.

No remorse as if nothing has happened, people nowadays that have lost people's trust and money seems that they're the ones having no problem at all.
1219  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: November 25, 2022, 10:04:44 PM
Personally, I'm not interested in stick marketing because I find it to be stressful. I believe investing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency will be simpler and more profitable because one coin can easily increase by 100 times in a short period of time, something I'm confident won't happen in stuck markets. Due to the rate of Bitcoin adoption around the world, people are becoming more interested in cryptocurrency investments. I hope the current market situation will not have an impact on Bitcoin adoption.
It's simpler and easier because we're aware of what coins to invest and we've been in this market for so long. But those stock traders and investors, they'll say that they're on the safer haven because those stocks are backed up by a company.

Although in reality, they are correct but the same thing is existing in the stock market and that is about dumping. Those shares can be dumped so much easy by those bagholders of it like the owners and those that have obtained it when it's cheap, not that much difference with bitcoin's plunging.
1220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: November 25, 2022, 09:19:32 PM
The trading system is at failure if you are an emotional trader. Let us say that 95% are losing their trades but I think they still do their best, however, it was not enough to catch the momentum, and ended up losing their money. But despite this negative view of future trading, many were still trying to look for their luck there. And I have no gut to discourage them either but to let them do what they want so they will find themselves what this future trading is all about if compared to spot trading.
