881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling Ravencoin (RVN) on: March 31, 2023, 11:52:27 PM
You can quickly sell that in exchanges where it has got tons of volumes like in Binance, Kucoin, bittrex. And these are big exchanges out there where you can deposit that and sell it so fast.

For the other exchanges where it's listed, you can see them on this link: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ravencoin/markets/

Is there's something that stops you from selling that through an exchange?
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Volatility on: March 31, 2023, 10:58:52 PM
Bitcoin's volatility is one of its features that turns off a lot of people. When someone expresses interest in investing, the majority of financial counselors advise them to avoid doing this. Because it is one of the most volatile assets ever, I believe that is why the adage "invest only what you can afford to lose" exists.
Meanwhile, stocks are also volatile but they never talk about that because that's what they want for people to buy.

My query is: How will Bitcoin's volatility diminish over time, or what is the single biggest element that could result in a reduction in Bitcoin's volatility?
It won't be gone but it's likely to reduce overtime as we go approach for those halvings but it will take a lot of time before we finally see it reduced.

And if there's one thing with that, even if we talk about its volatility will be reduced or not, all of it are gonna be unpredictable.
883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: March 31, 2023, 10:14:20 PM
Those newbies that make their first trades profitable are very well encouraged to continue and they're likely to stay because of how they've experienced profit at the first stage.

While the others have experienced terrible results, they're at an upperhand and will think that not so many newbies are getting their first trades as a win.

Whichever they think is right, whether the first tries are losses or wins, it's a matter of how eager they are to keep going in trading.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: March 30, 2023, 11:31:17 PM
Arb supply is very big which will not let this token pump hard like other coins. What do you think about Arb Token? Is it a good option to take entry below 1$

$11 was the after market value before the dump so I think if it's valuated now at the price of $1 and below that, I'll grab some for sure.

or I use my fund in btc or Ethereum?
[/b]
Just don't do this, keep your btc and eth.

If you've got some other means for the funding to your ARB purchase, please don't use your eth or btc on it. But if you've got no choice and you badly want to have ARB, spare btc on the option and keep it.

So use your eth instead if you are in a dire situation and really gone out of choices.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on NFT holders on: March 30, 2023, 10:33:51 PM
imagine it

paying tax on ingame purchases.. turns Steam into tax reporting agents of its customers rather than games retailers

so soon you wont be able to play online games without KYC

And on that case, Steam is much better and not subject to tough ruling than of those who holds NFTs and cryptocurrencies.

so soon you wont be able to play online games without KYC

Do you think KYC will be necessary to play online games? I don't see any important in this KYC when it come to online game.
It's just like a projection that possibly might happen and the comparison is that, playing online games might require some spending as well but the money that's being used there will only be subject to taxation from the game developers and not with the players.

Whilst in NFTs, we've known that there have been P2E games that requires NFTs as game characters in able to start the game. Having that said, it's not only the developers are subject to taxation but also the players.
886  Economy / Exchanges / Re: E-mail from FTX with alleged scheduled claim information and client code on: March 30, 2023, 09:46:27 PM
I don't have balance there but unless it's from official domain and email of FTX, then that's likely the update. But if it's from an unverified email and maybe FTX is working with a third party working on for the refund or releasing of the remaining funds.

As said, it's better to be safe and verify first and wait until they officially mention it on their channels and social media accounts and even their website that it's valid and it came from them and that's part of the procedure. Thus, be cautious and doubtful.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 30, 2023, 08:48:19 PM
I'll give everyone a tip about staking, it's better to have that less APY than to take risk and get those too much APY/APY that you're unsure if the project is gonna be successful.

Most projects that are still on the early stage will do that because it's part of being new and that's sort of enticement to the investors. Usually with high APYs, you'll get attracted to it but you'll be unsure if it will take long as the higher the APY, the lower number of investors involved.

As it's said in the real world, "the higher the risk, the higher the reward". It's best to look for PoS coins or stablecoins with low returns to help minimize risks of loss as much as possible. A high APY would make inflation worse, resulting in a decreased valuation of the crypto asset you're investing into. I'd prefer to stake in a decentralized manner, as only you control access to your funds. But not everyone finds decentralized staking attractive, especially when it has a steep learning curve.

Centralized staking is much easier, and convenient. But the downside is that a third party controls the keys linked to your crypto funds, adding unnecessary risks in the long run. The market is full of PoS coins these days, so I'd suggest you give them a shot if you want to build a nice passive income system that will last for a very long time. Just my opinion Smiley
I agree about those type of coins to just stay with those stablecoins that have lower returns in interest rates. I thought before that having a good APY was for real but until I've understood how they works, I've come to realize that it's best to avoid those type of projects and its staking features.

With stablecoin + little interest APY, it's truly a passive income but you also need to choose what stablecoin you'll have to choose because just as the typical cryptos, they're also volatile but just lesser.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: March 29, 2023, 09:11:50 PM
It's not a stupid idea if you know what you're doing. People only tend to do stupid things when they jump on it buying bitcoin without any idea how volatile it is.

I've sold a bunch of altcoins for buying bitcoin and it tends out a few of those altcoins pumped more than bitcoin but there's no regret. The plan is to stick around and have more bitcoin as much as possible as I can.

Just stick to your plan and don't listen to your surroundings if they're only telling you negative things and discouraging you what you are up to.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do we go from here on: March 29, 2023, 01:05:58 PM
There was this robot that has said that she will annihilate the humanity. That was a robot human and I've forgot the name of that robot.

Well, it's quite scary to hear a robot say that but I guess the developers and programmers did it on a purpose. Even if AI is too powerful, still, they all have the control and say on it.

Maybe 10 years from now, we'll see more human <-> AI <-> Robot interaction at most times.

I think there is also a staking platform that allows you to unstake your coins anytime or after some days or weeks. This is perfect if you are staking new coins which you are doubting if they will be successful in the long term or not. For the older coins like for example ETH, their staking time is usually a year or can be longer than that. The minimum coin to be staked is also much higher.

I think this is only perfect for those whales and institutions. For us retailers we can only hodl the old coins and we can still make a profit with it. The good about simply holding a coin is there are no commitments but we are free to sell our coins anytime we like.
Yes, that's the flexible term of staking.

And it's also an advantage to choose that term so, having lesser APY but you're also allowed to unstake anytime as you wish. That's the best choice that someone who's into staking can do.

ETH's staking is different and it's more advisable to just hold it if you don't have that much rather than joining a pool. But if you insist and wants to help the network with your < 32 ETH then you're required to join a pool.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: March 28, 2023, 08:43:07 PM
The loyalty only goes to bitcoin.

But it's true that there's no need for you to be diehard on any of them which is specific for most altcoins. You have to sell them for you to take profit and that's what you have to do.

That's the realistic part of investing on this market. You can't hold forever unless you're holding bitcoin and you're for long term. All of us got that long and short term plans on this market.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is the largest bitcoin miner. on: March 28, 2023, 12:53:43 PM
Mining is an extremely productive part of the business. Mining of cryptocurrency is the process of confirming transactions before they are placed on blockchain. China is the world’s largest producer of bitcoin mining. There are 6 major mining farms in china presently that produce 60 % of bitcoin supply all around the world!

What is your point of you on this?
Can you give those places where those mining operations are happening? It's because the news that we've probably seen a year or more ago was all about cracking down miners and everything that's related to bitcoin there.

But whether we like it or not, mining from everywhere in there won't stop even if the government steps in. Those miners will still find a way to use their miners as those investments from their equipment weren't that cheap to be stuck.
893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking a partner on: March 28, 2023, 11:25:29 AM
You can do it on your own. That's a huge amount of money and before you invest, invest first in yourself and learning. It may take time but it's worth it.

You don't have to be an expert as you want to invest in crypto. The first step is to learn the basics of the market and the wallets, and it's best to start out buying bitcoin.

There are too many materials on the web that you can search like this one as a good start: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: March 28, 2023, 09:54:11 AM
I have lost faith in alt coin section because alt coin sections don't see a lot of price increase even though bitcoin price is increasing nowadays. AltCoin section also goes down when Bitcoin price goes down. Of the few coins mentioned here, only Ethereum grows in a standard way but unique platforms remain in front of the masses.  So altcoin sections are said to be dead.
They're not really going to increase at most times because they won't be. The market is all focused to bitcoin and even them are also focused on it.

There will be times that they'll be increasing with or without bitcoin's price increase and that's given to think of. And that's why if you're mostly invested into altcoins, you invest in bitcoin then.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public Perspective towards Bitcoin on: March 27, 2023, 11:41:22 PM
It's been so long since many of those folks that are still not yet holding bitcoin thinks of many negative perceptions about bitcoin and that won't change on an instant.

But it's okay if they're still thinking like that because many from those people that have that perception were changed. They're seeing the changes a lot and based from the adoption that they're looking at.

It's inevitable that perception have changed drastically because of the financial institutions starting to adopt it.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When is ever the right time. on: March 27, 2023, 10:42:19 PM
I think it is very difficult to analyze and predict the lowest price point, sometimes our predictions will be wrong and in the end we lose precious moments to buy, because we think too much. buy or not, but my advice if you want to buy an altcoin, choose a quality altcoin because a quality coin has good potential in the future.
Analyzing won't be that easy if you're trying to hit the most accurate one. But it's easy to have all of those analysis and predictions in the market whether they're correct or not and it will just turn out that it's your opinion about the market.

And if you're targeting to buy while we're seeing the market isn't good, you have to make yourself comfortable in buying on those times you consider as the best time to buy whether it's the actual lowest price or not.
897  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance CZ sued on: March 27, 2023, 05:35:02 PM
The market crashed a bit when this news popped. But what's good on it is that it had recovered so fast.

The government don't have something to do so, they just track anyone down. But maybe there's also a fault on CZ's part but I'm sure that he'll manage to fix it.

I'm not worried at all since this is just a sue to him and he can counter and do anything to make amend to the filer of it.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is controlled on: March 27, 2023, 01:28:11 PM
I would say that they are very susceptible to many factors. And this allows its price to be manipulated.
In every market, it's believed that manipulations do happen and that's inevitable.

When a market has got a lot of rich participations from whales and financial institutions, it's prone to manipulation. But with that said, they can have big or little impact given the situation.

And the main medium that they use for are the news that are scaring or giving good vibes.

900  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 27, 2023, 05:37:27 AM
SEC is actually right to that about tip of investing only what anyone can afford to lose. Maybe they're foreseeing something like we'll be back in the bull run and the essence of it is for those sudden companies that will come out offering investments to people like HYIP, fake crowdfunding and of the same.

They understand how bitcoin is doing and performing and that's why it's an indirect hit to it and most likely, this is also for bunch of altcoins where people are following every single meme coin, trending altcoin and what not.
