1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins and Memecoins on: October 24, 2022, 09:25:19 PM
Did you notice?
It is shitcoin season!!! Memecoins are not to be left behind!

What are Shitcoins?

Shitcoins are crypto assets with little to no value or digital currency that has no immediate, discernible purpose.
On the other hand, Memecoins are genres of crypto assets with it?s value derived from it?s community?s support. They are largely speculative.
I didn't noticed that.

Are they making some gains right now? AFAIK, they're only good when the market is in bull run but not as of the moment. It seems that there are still hopefuls for the shitcoins.

Well, just a tip.

That only invest what you can afford to lose with that genre of altcoins.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does betting on exhibition matches even work? on: October 23, 2022, 11:50:20 PM
but more confusing is why someone still wants to buy tickets to watch the match.
That's a strange thing but it keeps happening because both those who bet and those who watch think it's entertainment

It's because they want to see their idol, the athlete that they're looking up and it's such a precious moment for those fans that wants to watch the match.

It's an exhibition and mostly, it's for the entertainment that they are aware of upon availing that ticket. Whilst for those bettors, it's something that they usually do, exhibition matches or not.

Indeed! These famous fighters whether if it's a boxer or UFC fighters are just using their fame to collect money from their fan bases. They are just taking advantage of the situation while they are still known and can attract audience. Also there are organizers around the world who would like to risk millions worth of fees just to get that boxer perform in front of them, in this instance, Floyd Mayweather's recent fight.
It's also a thing that they might be enjoying to do.

As for Floyd, I think that he's liking those quick money that he's getting from such fights without risking himself into training more and doing more hard work.

It's fame and money on him and that's what he's doing with all of these offers to have a fight. It's a quick paycheck and easy money on him and them now because of the hard work they did years ago building their reputation.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alters for Next Bull Market on: October 23, 2022, 11:18:19 PM
Yes ... btc is the right investment choice, after we get income from other Alt. Because after all when we choose to invest in btc, this means we believe that btc is the right instrument for long-term investment. Therefore, please buy and sell against Alt, then after you get a profit, your choice is still btc
It is the common strategy that we do and telling to the others to do the same.

But it's no longer a secret that many chooses to let their profits sit in into other altcoins because they've got the mindset that it will grow more than what's expected with bitcoin.

Long term investors understand the importance of having bitcoin in their portfolios so do we. But the impatient ones, will try to look into those quick profiting altcoins but results oppositely.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: Flood causing economics crises on: October 23, 2022, 10:45:18 PM
Flooding is fetching a lot of economics crises because we experienced big flooding this time around. It damaged a lot of things like rice farm, properties etc. It is factor that affecting economy
Those are some of those livelihoods that are devastated by floods. But there's an interconnection of it with so many and other industries when floods have been taking those fields.

Is your country currently experiencing a major flood? Because my place is still very safe from flooding and the general economic cycle is still very smooth and has no disturbance at all. This is because the government is still very concerned about dealing with natural disasters that can come suddenly when the rainy season is over, because during the rainy season there will often be flooding if the water disposal is full and makes the flow of water not smooth.
It is nice that you're living in a flood-free area. It's true that it's also going to start with the initiative of the government to make flood control projects so that it won't be a burden to its constituents.

But sadly, not all governments are too concerned with this matter because they're living to the reality that many have been used to these experiences of going with the flood.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 23, 2022, 10:06:18 PM
Jokic is an insane player. But is he overrated or not? That's another story.

Jokic is a talented player and he can provide really effective stability in the attacking phase. If you look at his stats, you can tell that he is a really capable player and that his passing is one of the most accurate in the league right now.

But when it comes to defending, I cannot say that he is insanely competent. Now I know that Jokic has won the MVP award two times back to back. But still, I don't feel he is a really good player when it comes to defending.

A simple conclusion. Looking at what he is doing in the attacking position at the moment, I have to believe he is one of the finest. But when it comes to defending I think he is a little overrated.
There are certain areas where players like him are good at and with what's he's got right now, there's still some room for improvement like the one that you've mentioned.

No doubt why he'd won the MVP and it could change for this season and it's just a matter of satisfaction whether we'll think of it as someone capable of this and that specifically.

But with what Nuggets now and having him is a really great asset for the team.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ethereum be profitable anytime in the future? on: October 23, 2022, 09:34:55 PM
Ethereum now and then is the leader for the entire altcoins. It stands next to bitcoin in all means. Ethereum can't be mined, but the algorithm over which the network runs is quite effective than many other blockchain.
And the reality is that even the market is very volatile and there could be other technologies that might replace Ethereum as what are others thinking about.

The foundation that Ethereum has set to its entirety is hard to beat and that's why if it's relative to its profitability, we can say that it's still profitable even it has changed its consensus algo in a pos.

The rich will be richer with that algo and that's why many have invested heavily on it.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are privacy coins already dying on: October 23, 2022, 08:39:38 PM
I haven't heard any good news about privacy coins this days, it seems that people are losing interest in privacy coins because of regulation? Also privacy coins have bad performance compared to other altcoins, what is going on? Can privacy coins survive on the long run?
It is because they are tracked by the government and also being delisted in exchanges and that is why they seems unpopular these days.

Many of them are also no longer being noticed just like the altcoins that eventually have loosen their popularity overtime due to bear market.
It is fair to say that Monero, even without investor interest or any news about the project, is performing very well in this bear market. The coin is now worth over $150, which as a percentage is much better than other projects. This may indicate that the project has credibility with buyers.
And it's the number 1 target of those trying to remove it from exchanges. About its performance, I can say that it's a yes that it's still performing well despite of that.

This is the most popular privacy coin and that's why there's a good volume that's never gone on it despite we're in a bear market. Whatever is causing it to be at good standing is probably the normal cause of supply and demand.

1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Faucet and Bonus Farming on: October 22, 2022, 09:10:17 PM
I have seen more than 2 casinos locking user accounts for this action, and is it really the users fault?

If the users claims tons of faucets or bonus is because the casino engine allows it, and if the casino is losing money with this action they should fix their code to avoid this problem and not steal users money.

The casinos sets the rules of the game, and if a user is smarter enough to find a way to make profit with those rules then they shouldn't block users withdrawals.

So, what do you think about this?
I agree, they should be the one to find at fault when a user tries to do it repetitively as seen in their system. As long as it is clean and there's no abuse that's being done, they should allow that since they're the one giving faucets and making bonuses.

If they don't like the outcome of it, they should just give notice that the user shouldn't be eligible anymore for any of those features. And as they give that notice, they should give the reason and it should be justifiable.
1330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency is silent why? on: October 22, 2022, 02:36:10 PM
Right, the majority of airdrops currently are scams, in my opinion the best airdrops are from coinmarketcap, I've been a winner several times even though I only got $ 5 for 1 program,
Well, it's not an exception because no matter where is the source of the airdrop, it can turn into a scam at any time.

and now I have stopped because the airdrops competition is no longer fair, participants can reach more than 100k while the winners only 1000
There is the new trend of airdrops these days. It's not literal airdrop that you've got nothing to do but it's like the test nets that I'm starting to see where flocks of testers are coming.

Although, you may have no idea what the result will be but if the project is a success then the reward that they will distribute could be a huge chunk of what you may receive freely after the task.
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usage of Blockchain technology on: October 22, 2022, 12:04:03 PM
That's actually a good use for blockchain and there's more. It is that most governments are still thinking that it won't be into a good use for trying out this technology.

Another country that sees good use of blockchain and will do it is South Korea[1].

1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2022, 11:42:10 PM
Anthony Davis is the most reliable player in the Lakers right now and has the capability to carry the team only if he stays healthy the whole season. That's a big question if he can finish all games this season up to playoffs if ever Lakers will make it.
I wish that he'll stay healthy and won't be contracted any physical injury that's too heavy for him to get out for some games. But we don't know for sure if being injury free is guaranteed.

I still feel bad and can't move on for Kemba Walker for being waived by the Pistons and the same goes for LiAngelo Ball who's been waived by Hornets.

It's like the same feeling when we've seen that Melo wasn't taken by any team until he's been taken for a contract. Hopefully, these folks will also find new home that will take them.

1335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Total newbie question about day trading crypto on: October 21, 2022, 09:12:40 PM
Centralized exchange that I use is Binance but I'm seeing a lot of people or probably just part of the marketing about okex. I just want to try that out if that's going to be a good exchange for me.

For a decentralized exchange, pancakeswap is the one that I'm using right now. Before it was uniswap but I like pancakeswap more based on my experience.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 21, 2022, 08:43:10 PM
They are free to publicize it through their usernames and I'm sure that it's hard to identify that person in real life by just being publicized and recognized through his username.

It's okay if that's the case and they don't have to go in depth of it because they just want to publicly announce the winner. Usually, that's what I see when a casino has got someone who won a jackpot.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 20, 2022, 11:58:39 PM
First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?
They're not tied yet, a simple treat would do the thing and it depends on the attitude of the woman. I'd personally give her some meals out with an extravagant restaurant and that would do her share.

As for the apprentice, how come the boss wants to split the money if it's the apprentice's money that has been bet and it's his personal choice. If the boss insists, I'll leave him as the amount is quite big enough and I'll just find another job to work for without asking for the split of my own money.
1338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much gambling is in trading cryptocurrencies? on: October 20, 2022, 11:21:23 PM
I think it largely depends on the trader himself. I think with the right approach it can be quite profitable.
We tell that it's profitable which is true but if on the actual, this is hard to maintain and balance because usually, you're just going to lose no matter how badly you want to make a profit.

Most traders are losing even doing the right approach because the market is approachable and unpredictable. Somehow, I'd agree that it's quite profitable if you've become experienced and you've improved on how you make your decisions.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: October 20, 2022, 10:48:25 PM
What about the use of mixers. Will it also tell where the money is coming from? We know that mixers hide this things eventhough there are on the blockchain. So how is anyone going to trace it to its dirty source? Please explain this to me to understand.
They can't distinguish that unless they've got an experiment and did on their own and got the sending address from their receiving address from the experiment through the use of a mixer.

What they can do is to block that address and if that's the only address that the mixer is using to send their mixed coins, they'll detect the source. However, that's not how mixers work and it's an unlikely situation to happen.

Therefore it means that even casinos can not stop money laundering because those who want to launder money may have to use mixers, except the amateurs among them. Criminals know how to disguise and can wait a long time to see through their evil plans. Maybe with time government will have to start banning mixers if they find them culpable.
But to give the idea, even a normal person and not a criminal wants to use these mixers just for the sake of his privacy.

Yeah, they can't stop money laundering but they can stop it entering into their platform and that's why they're very strict in implementing such policies that includes the kyc.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the world be if Bitcoin wasn't created on: October 20, 2022, 06:07:09 PM
Well, we can simply look at our situations individually. Then for sure that many would be stucked to what they've been used to be like not being financial educated.

Bitcoin has been one of the push for those that are not aware of their financial status. And if we go back to our former lives, then it would hard for most that didn't see the innovation and the contributions of bitcoin made to our lives.
Thinking on the individuals who changed their lives or are able to keep surviving due to bitcoin income, I imagine they would be in serious financial conditions if bitcoin didn't exist. They may not represent a lot in percentage when compared to the whole world's population, but the impact does exist on the individual sphere and also for every other professionals and businessmen who supply products and services to these adopters, since they raise their profit through these individuals who embraced bitcoin.
That's what it will look like if there's no bitcoin that everyone has found. But because of bitcoin, look at the financial situation of many that have discovered and believed on bitcoin.

The majority who has held for so long have became at that stage of their lives that they're financial independent already and is about to be financially free or most likely are already financial free.

It's such a great thing that everyone has found bitcoin while the doubters are still doubting it and never experienced the great things that they should have experienced too that we have had with it.
