1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 22, 2023, 11:30:35 PM
Let's hope that he will continue to take care of his body and he will not be seriously injured. He is still waiting for his son to be drafted so he will be able to see that his son will be playing with him or against him, that's the biggest achievement of his life, and that only proves that despite being at retirement age, he is still different because he is an exceptional athlete.

He can make a history and beat the oldest player of all time in the NBA which is  Nat Hickey who was 45 years during his final year. Lebron is already 38 years old, he needs to play 8 more seasons.

https://edge.twinspires.com/nba/the-oldest-players-in-nba-history/
He's got a budget for his physical care and it's not just a few thousands of dollars but they're millions. Yeah, that's an investment for LBJ and I'm also looking forward to the day that he's be able to play with his kids.

Watching some highlights of the plays of his kids are really interesting. They surely inherited the athleticism and genes of LBJ and that's why for sure when they're about to get drafted, whoever is the team that gets them, gets also the spotlight.

Too bad that this didn't last long for MJ's son.
1062  Economy / Economics / Re: After Budgeting, How Do I Deal With Unexcepted Expenses? on: January 22, 2023, 09:44:03 PM
More income and/or savings.

There's no other way of dealing unexpected expenses but to have more income to sustain it. Our cash flow are budgeted and it's certainly hard to execute when sudden expenses come.

That's why for someone who deals mostly with this situation, one thing I've learned is to have more money ready. So, if it's not your savings then make more money through any of your means like having a side hustle.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When was your last Royal Fush? on: January 22, 2023, 07:26:34 PM
I've hit that but not with an actual table but only with that poker game through a social media app. But in an actual table with good checks and calls, that's never happened to me.

I'd love watching those pro poker players get that on hand and if the player is too good and does make the other table keeps on calling and checking in, that's even making the game more interesting whenever I browse and watch those pro poker videos.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: January 21, 2023, 10:49:56 PM
Of course investing in long term is profitable but you need to know when and how you need to buy for maximizing your profits for example at this hyped market i dont recommend anyone to buy for holding because it a full market cycle and before breaking 30k we need to see some lows as history tells us .
So dont buy in FOMO if you want to hold for some years we have full year for buying BTC So stay safe and keep patience .
As you've mentioned about the history, $23k which is the price now was once the ATH in 2020-2021 and then now, it's like one of the bottom price where people are doubting to buy.

If someone wants to buy for holding because we're about to have the halving next year, it's very recommended to buy it like if your targeting price increase is higher than of today.

I do agree that don't FOMO when you're buying but instead, DYOR and don't buy hype just because of the hype. But, this is bitcoin, no hype, normal unpredictable markets, no risk-no gain mentality is on it so you decide just like us who took risk.

1066  Economy / Economics / Re: how to overcome inflation for the community on: January 21, 2023, 09:43:02 AM
how to deal with inflation according to my community:

1. Save money
2. Prepare for an emergency
3. Looking for additional income
4. Consumption of domestic products
5. Start investing and saving

that is the way in my opinion to overcome inflation in society. then what do you think? Is this way possible to overcome inflation?
Yes, those are good tips for overcoming the inflation. The reality is that inflation is there to stay until we leave this world, that's permanent and even if how good a country is there will be several factors that will still affect them and can't skip inflation.

Investing and having more source of income are the ideal thing in dealing with the inflation. You can save and get into budgeted activities but you can't enjoy what you'll do if all things will be on a budget.

Increase your source of income and cash flow and that's how you fight inflation.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going to win 6000 usd on a ufc bet 21 january on: January 20, 2023, 10:38:54 PM
Good luck, that's the spirit!

I hope that $2981 of yours will become $6k. The moment of truth is about to happen later. Since you're proud of your past prediction, hopefully that this prediction of yours will also result into a positive one.

And if so, I guess you'll often do a series of sharing of your predictions and bets.
1068  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2021 Bull run experience? on: January 20, 2023, 05:07:38 PM
The last bull run was great and I guess it was the best and obviously, the highest.

You are doing the right thing and you just have to continue accumulating because that's what it is going to be the main preparation that you are asking for.

No special preparation needed but to keep and hold as much as you can before the next bull run comes.
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to be great? Then be ready to learn. on: January 20, 2023, 11:43:27 AM
I heard about Bitcoin years ago but due to my lackadaisical attitude toward things, I ignored because I believed then that any thing bitcoin or crypto are all Ponzi or scam😁. I am here now, I understand better and I am ready to learn from everyone.
If you don't understand a thing, try to learn and educate yourself about it, that's why we have the internet and a phone to help.

Ignorance should never be an excuse.
Learn and equip yourself so your next 5 years self will be proud of you.
I'd like to congratulate you with that. Actually, it's good that a person is always skeptic with something that he doesn't know and don't want to go in depth further. It's a normal mechanism that we tend to say and react because we're lack of knowledge with that.

But for someone who's reactive negatively with things that he don't know yet curious to know more about it, that's nice of you that you did your own research and proved to yourself that bitcoin isn't the typical online or internet scam that we've used to see before.

I know where the people are coming from when the first impression they give to bitcoin is like a scam. Many of us came there and understood the reason why they're skeptic about it. Nevertheless, if you've got an open mind and you allow yourself to understand what really it is, you'll be grateful that you've known what bitcoin is.

1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In addition to Bitcoin (BTC) and Satoshi (Sat) I like to propose Nakamoto (Nak) on: January 18, 2023, 11:10:02 PM
I'll get confuse with all of these milli units for smaller amounts or in decimal amounts of bitcoin. I'm used to tell like 0.001 bitcoin and rarely use satoshis for the smaller units but I've known that when I've started to accumulate for which I've seen in the faucets.

But anyway proposal is welcome as it's for the contribution of what we think is good and easier conversion units.

I think that if it's acceptable in the community and many sees that it's easier to say Nak/s then it'll be popular. Otherwise, everyone will stick to just sats or simply tell decimal amout + "bitcoin".
1073  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: January 16, 2023, 10:13:10 PM
If you don't have money- you can keep your children happy - you cant buy gifts for your parents and you cant eat out  ... But its good to keep a balance and not to over spend especially in those tough times
You've missed the "can't" part on making your children happy. Let's deal with the reality of life that everyone need money and it's more frustrating if you can't provide for your family. Those people that don't believe that money can't buy happiness, that's what they believe to think of and respect to that.

But if you'll start to realize everything, you'll even be sadder if you can't provide for your family for which the basic thing you need to have is money so that you can buy everything that your family needs.

And that's why every season where it's known to buy gifts, there are people that are having the spirit of giving because they want to spread the happiness and kindness that they've felt from other people and they're living on it.

However, it's true that we're dealing with financial crisis through inflation and cutting of jobs since the pandemic and that's why some may think that spending through that isn't wise.

1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your wishes for BTC in coming years? on: January 14, 2023, 09:35:44 PM
The more people use it, the more demand that it gets and when the more demand it has, the higher price that it gets.  Cool

That's the kind of wish that I want for bitcoin for the upcoming years and that seems to be happening for reality and, it's only just a matter of time again until we see countries and governments start to talk about it once again.

More people to own it and have their plans for bitcoin and those people who were doubting it before will start to adopt and becomes optimistic.
1076  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter could launch in-app ‘coins’ to help creators make money on: January 12, 2023, 08:35:08 PM
So it's like the stars sent on facebook contents.

They've got a tipping feature but it didn't really become popular and that's why content creators are just staying somewhere else where they can receive a 'donation' thing from their fans.

Twitter should have done this long time ago but with Elon's management and having this coins for their users or content makers to reward with then, expect that wherever money is then people will come.
1077  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: January 11, 2023, 10:44:03 PM
That's okay, you really don't have to buy it if you don't like the stuff and the company.

Even ignoring all the negative things that happened in the past, I don't see the point of such a device at such a price. I have their S and X models and personally I prefer that the HW is smaller and doesn't look like something like a smartphone or tablet. Maybe some people will be interested in such a concept because it will be easier for them to handle such a device - but older Ledger models have the possibility to be connected to smartphones anyway for those who want such an experience.
I have the S version and I'm good with its design as its handy. We've got the same thoughts and likes about an HW that's too big, I don't like that as well.

They're designing and probably still on the phase of monitoring if the sales will surge with the new design, yeah for sure there will be buyers and even those that have got the older versions are likely to purchase it because it's "new".
1078  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: January 10, 2023, 09:16:15 PM
Does the ledger's website says different shipping timeline? What's the earliest month it says it will be delivered based on your browsers? Mine says shipping will be around by April this year using a TOR browser.

What does the type of browser have to do with the date when the new devices will start shipping? Everyone is shown the same date, because it would be really idiotic to prioritize some regions of the world over others. In addition, considering the price and the fact that this is a completely new device that can have various vulnerabilities, I do not believe that there will be much interest in its purchase.
It's because some companies prioritizes what's close to them and such releases are being done there first before the customers that are offshore. That's what I'm thinking of but if on this case and they're not like that then that's good. All of the releases from any place on Earth that orders this stax is by April.

Even if it costs $100, I personally wouldn't buy it because I don't trust that company after they showed how they handle their clients' data and how they tried to marginalize the whole thing.
That's okay, you really don't have to buy it if you don't like the stuff and the company.
1079  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: January 09, 2023, 11:10:31 PM
I've visited Ledger's website and thought that it was just going to be a not so expensive new release. But yeah, that's a lot for pricing with a tag of $279 for this new release almost doubled with its older versions, it says free shipping.

But wise buyers will wait for those reviews from the early buyers and will ask what they think about it. Does the ledger's website says different shipping timeline? What's the earliest month it says it will be delivered based on your browsers? Mine says shipping will be around by April this year using a TOR browser.

We'll hire new campaign manager and create new topic a bit later,
I highly recommend you to contact Hhampuz if you want to run your campaign well and smoothly. I guarantee he's the only Manager you can trust.
Agreed. Hhampuz is one of if not the most trustworthy campaign manager in this forum (no shade intended to others, I've been a part of a couple of bounty programs here, and even though I couldn't recall all of the CMs I have worked with, Observing Hhampuz's work alone made me trust the guy.)

Then again I do hope things get better as soon as possible. Stolen or not, the CM we worked with should be held accountable for the apparent negligence on his/her part.

Still hoping to work with Yomix in the near future!
Yomix has decided that Royse has been the choice to be taking over the campaign. It's an unfortunate situation that this has happened to this ever launching campaign by yomix, note that it's their first time.

To julerz, hopefully he'll resolve it and prove himself that he's truthful to the situation and is not playing around. There have been people in the past that have made their reputation in the forum but still did the other way around.

I wish julerz to get the better of this situation.
