1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum keep its leadership in the crypto smart contract industry? on: November 25, 2022, 04:48:08 PM
I think those that don't like how it looks like to have that type of algorithm through PoS, they'll soon to realize that PoW is still the best algo if a project wants to be secured with their network.

No offense to many other projects and chains that includes bnb and ethereum. Soon, those that want all of these shits, happening in the market will turn them done with it and want to make a change for themselves and will start to think of investing into projects that promotes PoW and first of it is BTC.
1222  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say. Bitcoins, not "cryptos" on: November 25, 2022, 03:18:46 PM
Those that have benefited with their gains through bitcoin, we have our own bias and we're proud to say that bitcoin is the best investment of all time.

It will always be attached to someone who has a huge allocation on this asset. But on the other hand, a gold investor will say that it's the best investment of all time because he's been invested on it, most of his money and as well as his time.
1223  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will Be bottom Of BTC in 2022 Year ( Current Price= $16000 ) on: November 25, 2022, 02:15:56 PM
The difficult thing now is because the price looks difficult to rise, even 2 days ago the price drops below $ 16k, fortunately the price can return to $ 16k again, hopefully FTX will be finished soon and there are no big cases that make the market drop, if it doesn't happen FTX I'm sure at this time the price is more than $ 25K.
It's always been difficult to see it rise when it's keep on going down. FTX is already done but it is the crowd that keeps on following what will happen to them.

It's like a never ending story because the founders haven't yet put into jail.

Don't forget about Luna, it's also one of the reason why the market has gone down or simply, we're in a natural bear market and things has to happen.
1224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 1 in 4 americans are skipping thanksgiving in 2022 to save money on: November 24, 2022, 11:53:15 PM
This could be the worst thanksgiving and holiday season for many americans in close to 50 years.
This is sad and this isn't just happening to them but also in other countries where layoffs have been done massively. But anyway, it's not all about being extravagant to celebrate thanks giving.

I don't know about it if there's a required dish or budget for it. But my take on it is that, there are too many ways to celebrate it without sacrificing things that you know will deal hard on your budget.
1225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: November 24, 2022, 10:59:18 PM
He'll be taken quickly by the FBI or any syndicate that see his worth about his creation and the wealth, money that he has made.

But since he's a genius, he doesn't want to compromise his safety and identity in the public because he probably have foreseen these bad things might happen to him.

He can be abducted, kidnapped or anything that he can imagine of being done to him just for those bad people to take advantage of him.

And why is another cryptocurrency developer such as Buterin isn't taken by the FBI or syndicate?  I think we exaggerated things, thinking too many nefarious things will happen to Satoshi if ever he revealed himself from the beginning.
Good thought though.

I think it's because crypto is mainstream these days and when Vitalik has made Ethereum, there's already that idea that it's not that big at all so, FBI or any agency wasn't interested back then.

But you're right, I think I was just exaggerating things for that's what I've absorbed also with some opinions before but then at the end of the day we will never know who satoshi is.
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you believe in Litecoin? on: November 24, 2022, 10:04:43 PM
I like Litecoin as I use it for transfers but I don't hold a lot of it. I believe on it that it will eventually have its time to shine again. Honestly, I'm happy to see it back at top 13 and might go higher soon. Because the last time I've seen it, was it's like around top 24 or higher than that rank.

Before thinking of it going to $500, it should take time to be around $150-$300 and be stable there. And it will happen based on how bitcoin will move too.

Yes, Litecoin is one of the most useful coins when it comes to transfers. Its super fast and its transactions cost is very cheap. I have also use it for doing transactions exactly beacuase it has this great property. Comparing with stable coins it is lightningn fast,  its safer and as cheap as.
There are other cheaper coins there for transfers but I just can't ignore this fact from Litecoin.

People may debate with that fact but there's something that make me don't want to ignore Litecoin for using it as is.

It's still making me want to use it for the transfers that I do and that's why I just can't leave it there. And it is my first go-to whenever I want to trade and transfer Litecoin somewhere else.

1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: World Cup 2022 and should I buy tokens that have World Cup support products? on: November 24, 2022, 08:42:51 PM
looks like the OP is marketing the Vega Sport site!

alluding to whether gambling site tokens or other world cup backed tokens have long-term potential,, I don't think so. when the world cup ends, we will see the price of the token go down. but if you really like to want to take risks in these investments then please try, but still at your own risk.
He's certainly marketing that website.

But if you go through with it and try to click the tabs, they're not working at all. I have no idea if OP and their staff and developers are aware of that.

Before launching, there should be a test so that things and buttons will be checked if they're working so that it won't be looking that it's made too quick just to be launched and be on time just as the World Cup.
1229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MY BITCOIN BUY INDICATORS on: November 23, 2022, 11:57:46 PM
4 Real BITCOIN dominance is closer to the bottom of this cycle (60%). Top dominance was 85% in 2019( after 2016). I dont expect we hit 85% again, but we are much more away from this levels..
Where people look for the real dominance of bitcoin? Coinmarketcap shows 38.5% while Coingecko shows 37%. So, right now, it's likely ranging from 37% to 38% for the bitcoin dominance.

I'm not expecting as well to see that much dominance for the next bull run. AFAIK, last bull run the highest that I've seen for btc dominance was like around 70%.

real bitcoin dominance include only  :

Bitcoin (BTC)
Litecoin (LTC)
Ethereum (ETH)
Bsv (BSV)
Bcash (BCH)
Monero (XMR)
DASH (DASH)
Zcash (ZEC)
Bitcoin Gold(BTG)
Ethereum Classic (ETC)
Dogecoin (DOGE)
Decred (DCR)

But if you look at coinmarkecap than i would say realistic is that BTC dominance will get up to 50%-60% dominance.

The pick of bitcoin dominance will be probably, when bitcoin price will be again around $69k
Yeah, that can be achieved again when the price of bitcoin goes up. And as it increases, the dominance of it in the market will be seen.

Why is that the real bitcoin dominance is only circulating into those altcoins and limits that to that number? Isn't it that it covers majority of the market's pair and altcoins and that's why it has gotten the percentage share for the entire market?
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: November 23, 2022, 11:08:59 PM
I'll just say the good thought that I've got based on what has happened. In the long run, that will make everyone think that it's good to store their cryptos through the wallets where they can hold the private keys.

Unlike storing it on the exchanges like FTX, they have no control to the funds that they put there. So, anything can happen to it depending on what will happen to that exchanges.

1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin before the banks and governments do on: November 23, 2022, 08:15:41 PM
I think governments would buy Bitcoin for the same reasons they hoard gold. While they cannot control the network, they can manipulate the price if they buy massive amounts of Bitcoin and then sell it. While those of us who HODL and believe in Bitcoin as a means of freedom will be undeterred, it can cause panic and make a CBDC look appealing to those who don’t understand what Bitcoin really is.
In fact, there are governements that have been holding seized bitcoin. There's still a way for them to manipulate the market just as the whales do.

When they wholly stepped in to the bitcoin market, they'll just have to play by the book of supply and demand and that's it. You're right, they may not have the control to the network but for the market, they will have and they will be able.
1233  Economy / Economics / Re: Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan accepts their loss on: November 23, 2022, 07:16:42 PM
They've already accepted their loss and that means that there's no way for them to recover whatever is the amount that has been lost to them.

So sad that many of them, instead of enjoying their money, it is the other person that has enjoyed with their money. This is going to lose them credibility and they should make a plan if ever they'll still going to believe into investing directly into exchanges rather than buying bitcoin alone for which is the better thing to do.
They lost big but have accepted defeat very easily while those who lost small are seem to not give up until now. They are still hoping that they can get something. This is the risk of investing money in a centralized entity. There is a possibility that they will use your money.

I think some investors already know this fact but they still insisted because for them, they are still being paid by interest and their money still grows over time. It is said that this wasn't the first time ontario teachers pension plan losses their money. That's very unfortunate. I think after this, they will not do the same thing anymore but they will choose other investments away from cryptos.
Not the first time?

Well, the problem is on the management is too investable in something that they shouldn't be. Too bad that they're experiencing this and with this downfall.

Too many pensioners are affected and I just feel bad about them that instead of them enjoying the pension that they should have, they just can't give it away because of this.

1235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High Leverage Bitcoin Exposure on: November 22, 2022, 12:26:27 PM
I remember the QuadrigaCX collapsing too. AFAIK, the CEO of it, another young guy who has traded the deposited money of their users too. I think it's a good idea to know from these exchanges who are also betting with their depositors money through margin/leverage trading.

Let others say whatever they want, but to me, Quadriga smells even more like a classic exit scam after I watched a documentary about that case a few months ago. That CEO went to India and died there, and the only ones who saw his body were a doctor and supposedly the deceased's wife.
Before he went to India, it's said that he's been playing with their users fund transferring here and there trading with leverage on other exchanges. And that might be the reason why he went to India and did what he has to do. This is where the different theories and conspiracies comes in about him having a facial surgery to runaway from the ruckus he has left.

As for all those CEOs who are intoxicated with the billions of dollars they keep, I think that few can resist doing something illegal, especially if they know how hard it is for someone to discover them until everything goes downhill.

An interesting infographic perhaps best shows some things.

Those that have the ill intention will eventually have to think their plans if they want to execute the same thing as what Sam and crew did. I guess on this age, the most transparent companies will be the ones that will be trusted by most investors.

But, they can't blame many of us if we're no longer putting trust to any of them.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High Leverage Bitcoin Exposure on: November 22, 2022, 10:41:54 AM
In the wake of the FTX collapse, I am curious to know where someone can find a list of companies who have leveraged positions in bitcoin.

I know this might not be public knowledge unlike microstrategy where @saylor tweets about it but it think it would be very interesting if someone can find a few examples.

With FTX, Blockfi, Genesis, all collapsing It makes one wonder how many more dominoes will fall that had exposure to FTX or High lev BTC ?

For example thoughts on smaller exchanges like kucoin and gate or firms like Grayscale?
I remember the QuadrigaCX collapsing too. AFAIK, the CEO of it, another young guy who has traded the deposited money of their users too. I think it's a good idea to know from these exchanges who are also betting with their depositors money through margin/leverage trading.

Since it's like a free money to them, they can make money out of thin air if ever they win with the money they used for leveraging and just return it without giving notice to their poor and innocent users.
1237  Economy / Economics / Re: Corrupt people in crypto on: November 21, 2022, 10:40:40 PM
A lot of bad incidences happened in crypto community this year including:

1) FTX
2) Luna
3) Gemini Earn
4) Celcius
5) Voyager
6)BlockFi

All these incidences happened because of the greed of some people. It is important to control the entry of these kind of people as developers or people behind some new crypto projects. Otherwise people will have very less trust left on crypto in general and people will move to other alternatives. What do you think are the required steps to prevent these incidences from occurring in future ? Or are these unavoidable ?
The fact that crypto is for everyone, it means that anyone can be their own developer. We can't control people like them to get in or out from the market.

What we must do is to equip ourselves with basic knowledge and understanding about the possible red flags that one can be seen as a CEO or owner of any project.

We don't know when a project will turn the other way because of the poor management and attitude of its CEO.

True to that and we're in a bear market, cheap bitcoins are there and they're on the sale.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Roshtein fake money streamer or not? on: November 21, 2022, 08:45:47 PM
I don't follow the guy but if it's about streaming gambling contents. It's the same as the crypto contents that don't believe whatever they're playing with and advertise.

They're all for the views and that's common in the streaming community because they just want to get all the views from everywhere that they can.

But whether it's real or fake if he's been entertaining a lot, that's one of his goals why he's streaming aside from making money from gambling and from the stream he do.
1240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: November 21, 2022, 07:58:36 PM
A few days ago, Elon Musk responded to a friend's tweet saying that the price of BTC may increase by the end of winter.  He also asked everyone to be patient.  It means that the future of BTCL is very bright and its price will increase.  We are all waiting for this winter to end and the market to return to its previous form.  InshaAllah the price of BTC and digital currency will return to the previous room thanks
Well, that makes sense.

If he said that it's by the end of the crypto winter. Then, that means that it's going to be done by the end of the bear market which obviously makes that bitcoin will literally going to increase by that time.

The price of bitcoin for sure will have its moment back to the top again and while we're looking at it from the bottom now. Because the price has hit $15,700 again.
