365  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Approved Member in Trust System - No Tor No Vpn on: May 12, 2020, 07:23:29 PM
Users using the Trust system should be prohibited from using VPN and tor. I'm sure most dt members create their own dt gang with their alt accounts.

Sorry I don't get your point on this one. How does prohibiting members using TOR and VPN solve the "issues" in the trust system? Since I don't see any direct relation between a member using VPN and his/her right on voting in the trust system or am I just missing something?

No need to argue with this user who is scared to have use his main account to create this topic.

There's no relation in his point, it's no one's concern how the internet is being used, as long as it's not used for scam. VPN purpose has nothing to do with manipulation of DT.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Electroneum will STOP "mobile mining" rewards soon. on: May 12, 2020, 07:41:50 AM
Would anyone mining Electroneum on mobile phone? I doubt, it has been a long time when I last saw a message on this. I think there is no much interest on mining Electroneum from mobile phone among the community. People used to waste their phone by mining this though.

They changed it to cloud mining with reward of around 10 ETN per day. But I think the mobile mining was better than this because people with high-end devices mined way more than this before they changed to cloud mining and I think they are the only one still offering this type of mining.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that number of miners will decrease for a while? on: May 12, 2020, 05:29:43 AM
This is very possible, especially the miners with low hash rates. The only thing that could inspire them to continue is spike in BTC price and hope (hoping that the ones they are mining today would cost a fortune later in the future). But I see majority of miners leaving when the cost is too much for them.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pure btc speculation post on: May 11, 2020, 07:35:04 PM
So guys, im not sure if today btc is going to pump, stable or dump
What do you guess and why?

I guess this halving gonna be diferent, cause lot of people is knowing about it has stabilised on near 9k usd,  and wall street whales speak about btc. So i can also see a 3billion mcap grow... ..guests? Open til 24:00

I see no much effect in this year's halving and it's because of this pandemic, maybe. Price went to over 9,100$ some hours ago and now it's at 8,500$. Next halving is in 1,367 days. I would love to see more people's reaction concerning this year's halving. If there's no pump, I don't think there will be much hype for the next one.

I don't know when you got in on the train but I will tell you that you're a believer to have made the move. If you are in profit, there is no need at all to ask. Take your profit and if you aren't contented, keep holding. And again, don't announce your holding to avoid unnecessary PMs.

And for your wallet choice, don't store such amount in an online wallet, you do not know what might happen next. Use an hardware wallet and if you aren't in a country that allows such, ise Electrum wallet and set it up on an old PC.

371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe to join campaign does not mean rewarding campaign on: May 05, 2020, 09:16:34 PM
Shit happens in bounties too. Either they slash the allocation or they lock the token and distribute when it's valueless or they swap contract address and distribute the fake one. You can't be too sure because the ones you think would be sure might not be.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KINGCASINO SALES HITS A MILESTONE RAISES $21.5M IN FOUND 1! on: May 05, 2020, 12:50:42 PM
Totally fake. I won't believe any figures from this exchange. It's one of their strategies to gain traders after listing on exchange.

These exchanges have low credibility due to using fake volume and poor results of IEOs after listing. I won't suggest buying once they list because it won't perform well.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Several Factors That Can Affect Cryptocurrency Prices? on: May 05, 2020, 07:14:31 AM
There are many factors. Some main factors do strongly affect crypto price, strongest first and less following as below. It's my opinion.
1. breaking news, hot rumors or hot news
2. a big update or event of a coin is coming. coin price often increase before the event and continue increasing if event is successful.
3. pumping and dumping made by crypto exchanges. they do this for profits.
4. altcoin price is affected by Bitcoin price.

This is 100% true, news/rumor has a lot of impact on in crypto world. Imagine a dead coin making a news about getting listed on  a big exchange including some partnerships, believe me, it's going to hit its ATH or more before it get listed there.

I also see events as a way of keeping the community active and price normal.

Pump and dump kills the price and also not good for projects. Once community notice this, they spread the news and it's going to have a negative effect.
374  Economy / Economics / Re: I think we can take pride that we didn't need a stimulus bill for btc on: May 05, 2020, 06:50:19 AM
We shouldn't rely on government stimulus bill because BTC increase from 3,600 to where it is now is a decent stimulus for traders.

I remember reading a post in a Facebook group, the poster said he's going to use the stimulus to purchase BTC and I think that's a good move, pumping their printed money into the market cap. They can't do anything about that.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: May 05, 2020, 05:53:34 AM
Good thing you don't have a family yet, you can actually become a freelancer by putting your skills to usage like Content Writing, Social Media Management, Online Customer Support. Real life job is going to be very hard to get because of the economy. People are going to lose job and employment rate is going to drop

Right now, don't think of taking loans. Spend wisely and if you get any funds from government (relief funds) invest it wisely.
What about already having a family and children while their work has been terminated due to this pandemic because of the lack of income of the company so that it cannot extend work once in a difficult time where we have to live frugally with our savings. If you can, don't force a gamble in difficult times like this.

If only relying on this forum or what you mentioned earlier will not be enough to meet the family let alone waiting for help from the government I think it will not be much to expect.

Same thing also applies but here, you should create a business if you have savings, reason why it's important to save because of situation like this.  I think Businesses like Car mechanic, Salon would receive a lot of attention after this lockdown. This way, you could also employ people in your business.

377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day dreamer! on: May 04, 2020, 02:14:33 PM
I wonder why someone will discourage others, saying bounties can't make you rich nowadays, yet he is wearing a signature. The aim is not to get rich quick, the aim is to promote a decent project and get paid. OP has a point anyways, we can't compare now to earlier days of bounty campaigns. Things changed; after doing some campaigns you might not even be sure of reward unless funds are escrowed, or sometimes reward doesn't worth it. This doesn't mean bounties do not pay anymore, recently people got well paid with a few bounties and it's enough reason to keep the hope alive.

What OP said is true, come to think of it, there are so many participants signing up for new campaigns this days which makes the reward at the end of the day small.

If you're participating in a bounty just to get rich, you should stop because the chances are very low. Some here are just doing bounties as side hustle m
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From year 2099 till 2140 only one bitcoin will be mined... on: May 03, 2020, 08:52:40 PM
That's if we're still alive by then and also, the future is unpredictable. Bitcoin might not be the #1 coin then. A new coin might take over with greater features than BTC since it won't evolve or add new feature, only dominating because it's the first cryptocurrency.
The only thing that would happen is scarcity and increase in price due to more adoption.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coins are 👎👎👎 on: May 03, 2020, 04:54:23 PM
Most coins project's team created their coins for profit and not because of use case. All they do is create hype and list IEO on a big exchange knowing well that they will get money from investors and investors will also make over 50% after IEO.
Recent IEOs on Binance gave investors over 5x profit.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's break our boundaries with Bitcoin on: May 03, 2020, 01:13:29 PM
At least from this pandemic, we can learn several things:
  • more concerned in maintaining cleanliness and a healthy lifestyle. Paper money and coins can be a medium for spreading viruses, we can take anticipatory measures to reduce the adverse effects by washing hands frequently, not touching the face area before washing hands, wearing masks/gloves, etc.
  • we must have a side job to keep our finances stable during a crisis like this.
  • we know that there are many payment alternatives besides fiat, e-money, and cryptocurrency. Of the two alternatives, the most effective is of course e-money, just like fiat right, it only has a different form. E-money is more effective because of its wide adoption, not comparable with cryptocurrency that is full of pros and cons. We really have to be open with technological developments, I'm sure, someday cryptocurrency will also be the best alternative in the financial system.

This is true. People who work from home(freelancers) really won't find this as a problem for them because they are used to it.
And also this pandemic will teach people alot about healthiness and realise so many things like observing cleanliness, not putting paper money in the some part of the body. Accepting QR code payment should be adopted.
