3621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 02, 2017, 01:23:05 PM
I'm never touching XRP, this is such an over valued token waiting to pop and dump hard.
The speculation is based on the burn rate for doing transactions, yet most investors fail to realise that even if all banks used it , I would take THOUSANDS of years to burn a significant % of the supply. Plus less than 40% of the total supply is circulating ... This is a recipe for disaster and will leave many burning

You obviously have no idea about amount of transactions done DAILY in banks across the globe

Yes , I do, you obviously don't know the burn rate and supply amount of XRP

You obviously don't know about supply amount of XRP and what is behind, weak at math, no vision etc and etc

Every day ask myself what I doing with this 90% of retards and laggards that can not educate themselves

Anyway it looks like Brad is very bullish now on XRP and mentions it in every Twitter post:

https://twitter.com/bgarlinghouse

Price goes is nowadays 0.25USD which is more than happy and still drop in ocean.

And my favorite:

Ripple's technology is great, but their token is awful.
The banks can easily use a forked version to avoid buying XRP off the market, but even if they did:
The default transaction fee is 10 drops (0.00001 XRP). So we need to burn 1 XRP for each 100k transactions.
If ALL SWIFT transactions would be replaced by XRP that means that there would be an average of 28M transactions in the Ripple network per day
So, daily only 280 XRP would be burned and to burn even 1% of the total supply it would take over 10.000 years
I think you guys need to do better your research before you invest in anything

So if default transaction fee is 10 drops, why I always pay 10000 drops? Care to explain?

How is your friend getting it to 86w? can you give me your BIOs/clocks?

Probably "measures" through  GPU-Z...real consumption is usually double than GPU-Z says

sapphire rx 570 nitro+ OC 4gb

at the moment i push my hash rate from 22mhs to 27.5mhs.
i copy my 1750 stripe to the higher one and setz the points in simpleminingOS

- mem clock from 1750 --> 2200
- gpu clock from 1340 --> 1150

other ideas to improve performance?

- use a other stipe?
- use a complete other bios?

i are open for other things :-)

Best regards
Willi

What memory type? You should probably get 29.5-30.5 range regardless, its just that copy/paste straps
is not ideal

Sia coin will be pumped by some big whales. It is a great time to buy it right now!

Mark my words and thank me later.

When will "later" come?

I only see whales dumping it since your post

The good profit isn't from how much you need to invest but how smart u'r making a good profit. and very important is how deep the knowledge about cloud mining.

Only knowledge needed is that they're all scam
3628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom RAM Timings for GPU's with GDDR5 - DOWNLOAD LINKS - UPDATED on: November 30, 2017, 08:40:30 AM
Okay, Elpida is, hands down for me, the worst memory there is. Doing a STABLE and FAST memory strap for XMR is harder than getting a girlfriend for a virgin nerd sucker.

Even the free strap, which was found here (with little changes to RP/TRFC and TRCDR), it still crashes, while giving measly 840h/s.

840 is huge for elpida Cheesy

6 KILOWATTS???

You call that green? 6KW worth of Vega cards would outperform those out of the water, and still be cheaper,
cause $150 per (weak) node is extremely expensive

6kW where do you read such a value, can you please show it to me because that's shocking, I doubt a full cluster with a 500 of those would reach 6kW, I think it's 6W per SoC.

Heck the 6W figure is probably for the full board, the SoC it self should consume around 2W
As for the price 150€ is just too expensive for such SoC it's not the latest or greatest, I'm pretty sure one can find much cheaper elsewhere.

Sorry, quoted wrong post, here is link from jeyjey post I was referring to:

3632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modified GPU BIOS for Mining on: November 29, 2017, 08:30:46 PM
I have spent all day on this and have determined that this ROM is too unstable for these cards. Yes it will hit 29.5 MH/S but only for a few minutes before rig crashes.
I also just completed a Linux test so I could completely eliminate Windows and drivers. Claymore crashed on Linux in under 20 seconds.
So thats that.
I am now making a new rom with different straps. Less aggressive. After I am stable I will use some of notbatmans undervolting to tweak it more. Right this minute I am stable at 24.5 Ethminer (a touch slower then Claymore but way easier on the cards).
Taking a break from this lol....

EDIT** Ok so I opened 2 copies of PBE 1.64 and loaded my original ROM which I took off the stock cards with GPU-Z and next to it I loaded your ROM.
Immediately I see a huge difference. The original rom has 1 set of straps. Your version has 2 sets of straps 1: and 2:
No idea if that really makes a difference but i think it might. Still playing around.

Its not my ROM but notbatmans, I'm not as nice as him so I'm usually selling mine Cheesy
3633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modified GPU BIOS for Mining on: November 29, 2017, 02:27:45 PM
I just got a bunch of these Asus Radeon RX570's with 4 GB RAM and ELPIDA memory
Outta the box on Ethminer they run about 21.5 MH/S

I was wondering if you have any mods for this card?

I doubt these can do the magic 30 MH/S but I would love to see a stable 26 or more.

Thanks!

Give this BIOS a try. -- Asus.RX570.4096.170327_MINING_BIOS

UNTESTED BIOS

One card modded. One card stock. Rig just crashed after about 30 mins. I am adding an external fan now in case it was a heat issue.

Not a heat issue. Just very unstable. I modded the ROM slightly and lowered from 2000 to 1900 but still unstable.
Am flashing back to stock now. I will play with settings later. Thanks for your work. I think its close.

My Gigabyte RX580 has elpida, it should be stable in 2000-2030 range, depending on card...maybe even more,
didn't have too much time to play with it, with all this coin trade craze going on Smiley
30.4MH/s

How much need invest to good profits? Huh And any idea of a good site?

Your profit, or cloud mining site owner?

If your profit, best is to invest zero

If site owner...invest as much as you can

Hi there,
is anyone here running 4 vegas on a dell T5500. I wouls like to be sure it works somehow.

On mine It runs fine with three, but fourth card gives me nightmares. Artifacts and crash on miner start ( it's not a card in particular, I switched them). Even if fourth card is plugged but not in the mining config, it crashes.

I thought about crossfire&ULPS disabling, but It didn't help. Changing miner soft does not change anything either.

Any ideas?

Is there physical space inside that box for all those cards, or you use risers?
3639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ARM processors with Mali Octacore - ignored by mining coders, why? on: November 28, 2017, 05:49:20 PM
My friends! Thanks for interesting in this topic! I am sorry I explained the project without the rest: I want to use solar panels in a sunny, windy and hot place. I live in a island and there is a lot of wind and sun! We use four big Diesel Engines to product electricity. It is mutch more nonsense to use megawatts for frac/Bcoins rather than low voltage, but free, for Monero or Zcash. I automated my OrangePi that it boot after the sun rises! The ARMBIAN should lounches the miner after boot. It boots with 5volts! I would like to mine some Altcoins ASIC resistant. But the only miner seems to be BFCminer. Please could anyone spend few minutes to tell me where I can find a miner for ARM processors? Many thanks and greetings from Italy!

One of strongest arm processors out there, thunderX cavium, does 51 H/s at 10W TDP (so pretty power hungry for ARM processors)

51H/s will net you 14 cents a day as you can see here

https://whattomine.com/coins/101-xmr-cryptonight?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=51&p=0&fee=0.0&cost=0.1&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

Your processor is probably 3 times slower.

Draw your own conclusions

(just for comparison, you'll need about 120 of your processors to get same hashing power as single Vega graphic card for mining monero)
3640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ARM processors with Mali Octacore - ignored by mining coders, why? on: November 28, 2017, 05:23:46 PM
If there was a way to mine and make a profit without using a lot of electricity every single person on here would be doing it. If you want to mine, move to somewhere with reasonable power rates.

But maybe jeyjey is smartest person around by far, and none of us can see profitability because we're all stupid?

Since those 8 cores in ARM GPU are 64-bit, they must be much better than those 2304 cores in RX580, right?
