Is there a pool that support stratum+TLS? Then the AMD miner could join also by using the mkxminer for AMD

I'm curious about that too...only have AMD cards, and TLS requirement severely restrict our options
3462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on AM4 Platform on: December 16, 2017, 10:07:05 PM
Ryzen FOR THE COST isn't all that great at Cryptonote (Monero) mining.

I see 300+ hash out of my old FX 8320e CPUs that cost about a QUARTER of those Ryzen 1700X, and my 8370 pulls close to 400 hash at righr around a THIRD of the cost.
Unfortunately, AM3/AM3+ motherboards that are viable for riser rigs seem to pretty much all have gone out of production and are hard to find any more....

They also use 3 times more power so added bonus of 8370 is that it can heat your room, too

Also, there are AM4 CPUs like this one:

3465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple To the Moon on: December 16, 2017, 12:59:15 PM
People who advocate Ripple do not understand why Cryptographic currencies were created.

Were supposed to be progressing AWAY from banks.... Not gladly advocating their products, which were created to combat their demise.

You people are far too money focused... Where did all the philosophy go in the scene?

I find crypto exchanges as bad as banks

3467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 16, 2017, 08:52:18 AM
Hmmm... this chart is a bit misleading, and old (2 weeks in the cryptoworld is nothing to be sneezed at :p).
It's misleading because there's no detail on the cost per transaction: average? median?

Also, you can increase or decrease the fee on most of these coins in order to prioritize the payment.

Also, I'm a bit surprised. I thought Ripple was able to handle more than 1500tx/s.

2 orders of magnitude more transactions than average competitor, I'd call that very good

new ATH!!!!

Only in dollar value, but far from BTC ATH

Buy better PC, imho
3470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: QTUM speculation? on: December 15, 2017, 10:34:53 PM
I think it'll hit $40 soon, just need some more time for news to spread
3471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple getting behind? on: December 15, 2017, 10:09:46 PM
I also believe that Ripple was overrated. According to coinmarketcap Ripple is now on 5th place, based on Market Cap. I'm sure the price will continue to fall.

You're such believer, aren't you?
3472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple XRP Price Prediction on: December 15, 2017, 08:32:21 PM
Ripple has already gone around $ 1.I think $ 2 will not take much longer.Their developers are working very well. Ripples will be good for a long time.

Yes, but don't underestimate how much $$$ is needed for $1 to $2 step...almost 40 billion dollars.

I think we'll need first real world use case for that step
3473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple XRP Price Prediction on: December 15, 2017, 07:49:54 PM
1$ by the end of 2017, $6-$8  by the december 2018

QTUM got deal with Gazprom (largest oil producer in the world) and Gazfond (largest pension fund, worth 200 billion $$$)
thats the reason for price increase
3477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: QTUM speculation? on: December 15, 2017, 05:33:50 PM
I am thinking about transfering 15 ether to bittrex to buy 300 Qtum. I dont know much about Qtum. Is it like NEO? I want to transfer most of my Eth and buy other coins that have potential to grow faster than Eth. What do you think about my decision to buy Qtum???

Hope you didn't follow through for your sake mate!

Who can ever tell which coin will be the one to shoot in value, its such an unpredictable market.

I have never heard of Qtum, is there any potential there?

Well, did you notice it just went from $20 to $30 in less than 10 minutes? And 60 million trade in 30 minutes on bithumb?

Edit: it went to 80 million while i was writing that

To the moon, of course
3479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Adrenalin Driver and %15 hash increase? on: December 15, 2017, 01:18:22 PM
I have updated driver to the newest one 17.12.1 and now my rx 570 is stuck to 300 mhz core clock which cripples mining performance Sad Has anyone noticed something similiar ? I've had issues with radeon mining after the latest windows update, before the card would only do 19 mh/s eth max with blockchain driver, but now it's doing 6 which is completely not worth it.

Not enough info, can't compute. What miner? What OC tool?
Wattman works for me on RX560s and RX580s, so its you, not driver (although, drives DID broke claymore voldage, frequency and fans control,
and temperature and fan speed report)

Here's as much information as possible, This is asus rx 570 strix 4gb, bios modded to 1500 strap, using windows 10 1709 and 10.0 claymore's dual miner, I have tried using msi afterburner and wattman for overclocking, but the card stays in idle mode for core clock resulting in crippled performance - https://i.imgur.com/XLnuXHn.png I have applied atikmdag patcher as with all of my other cards, and had no issues until the 1709 windows update. Now I can't force the gpu to work at anything but idle 300 mhz, I have tried deleting adrenaline drivers and going back to the blockchain ones, but it's still the same.

Try to download more recent Afterburner, beta 16 is a bit old, there was few betas and final version released afterwards

3480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple ( XRP ) a good way to go right now? on: December 14, 2017, 08:18:31 PM
My biggest problem with Ripple is that the company owns so much of it and could easily kill the whole project. Not that they would, but it is possible. And with my risk management I am not willing to take that risk, and I would suggest you dont.

Your risk management should be more thorough, then you'd know what happened with remaining coins a bit earlier this month Cheesy
