What do you guys think, is there a chance for this to take off? Judging by ICO sale so far at https://vegais.com/crowdfundit won't collect expected amount. Idea and whitepaper look good, but do they have competition already, or just not loud enough to attract investors? I'd surely like to see good AI work for me and earn me money while I sleep

Ripple brings me a steady profit. I like to trade this coin because of its strong fluctuations. But I still suppose it as a long-term investment that will bring the maximum profit in a few years.
If you like "strong fluctuations", more than 90% other coins do that better than Ripple

1.35 now wow this is going above my wildest expectations, if it's getting added to coinbase right now will reach 2$
Sadly, most EU/US exchanges are around 1.18. asian ones 1.5, and 1.35 is average, I guess

Yes, I would be interested in Cryponight, particularly for monero and some others out there. I want low noise and low power mining, even if Ethereum could be more profitable from time to time. So stats in "sols" are probably not what I am looking for.
RX560s are very good imho, close to 500 H/S with my 4GB models (both hynix and micron), but some people claim more than 500 with 2GB elpida RX560s, that would probably be ideal My estimate is about 30W for 4GB models, very quiet

I tried moner 3.0 with a RX560 and RX570. But these cards are modded for ETH mining so VTC mining hashes are lower than expected.
RX560: 12 Mh/s RX570: 26-26.5 Mh/s
Both gpu down-clocked and memory is up-clocked.
I will try with default settings if I find time to reset bios of the cards.
Why? Just use some tool to overclock core and downclock memory

Hey, 1 question for you "traders" up here. I am trading XRP/ETH pair on binance and would like to figure out, who is whale when looking at market depth? Because when trading ETH/USDT its easy, someone who throws 100etrs on the market you know hes there but looking at XRP market... its hard to predict since all buyers/sellers put few k XRPs on the market.
So basically, what amount is needed for small player to start panic?
I got into crypto just half year ago, immediately noticed XRP, and never ever panicked about it...if it drops to $0.50 today, I'll feel sorry, but won't panic

Does this mean I'll get an equivalent value in segwit2x of dollars I have in btc?
No, you'll get about $2 per BTC you have

How many coins are there outside? I really can't image that xrp will go up to 100 dollars in 3 or 4 years and all guys are suddenly millionaires or even billionaires. Where should all that. Money come. From? Or was it the same way with btc? Actually I even don't know what ripple is xD. Just spent some money. I know that I am a noob but.. Well nothing but $100 is not probably in next 10 years

As you see I am pretty new to all this here and quite happy that it worked for me to invest really just a little money in ripple. I am just wondering how much you all invested when you talk about "hold until 2020" or what ever. I see always buying and selling 200k xrp in the books of bitfinex and asking myself how rich all of you must be.
I bought 600 xrp at 0,22 dollars. Am I the only one with such less amounts and hoping for the future and all the rest got 100k +? Sounds like it all the time.
I'm slowly accumulating XRP by buying it using mined ETH...about half the mined amount goes into XRP...got almost 10k that way, not as much as you presumed, but still much more than you

cheap gpus for xmr? the complete AMD GCN 1.0/2.0 bouquet:
7850, 7870, 7870XT, 7950, 7970, 7990 R7 265, R9 270, R9 270X, R9 280, R9 280X, R9 285 (gcn 3 but doesn't matter), R9 290, R9 290X R7 370X, R9 380, R9 390, R9 390X
they do all over 420 Sol/s, the bigger ones even up to 900.
Great! I assume that all these have only 2 Gb?? I donīt know alot about the monero DAG size or the expected increases either. I could google it, but I like hearing from people on this forum. Only Equihash algorithm coins (ETC, ETH, and such) use a DAG file. It is NOT AN ISSUE on anything else in cryptocoin mining. R9 290 are 4GB on the reference models, I think the only options were 4GB and perhaps 8GB on some aftermarket versions. Same on the R9 390. They're also still some of the highest hashrate ETH mining cards, though efficiency is not good due to their high power draw (even with an undervolt modded BIOS). 7850 and 7870 do NOT do 300 sols/s or even 200. More like 150 on the 7870 and a bit less on the 7850. R9 280x as I recall was around 280-300 sol ballpark - DEFINITELY not 400 or more. Never tested my R9 290 cards on ZEC, but they should be quite a bit faster than the R9 280x - 400 sol ballpark would seem likely on those - but they make more on ETH mining than on ZEC mining. I doubt ANY of them can do 900 sol/s except PERHAPS the 7990 with it's DUAL GPUS ON ONE CARD (and those being the same GPU as on the 7970 or R9 290 or R9 390) - and that would be for the card, NOT for each GPU and do note that it counts as *2 GPUs* against driver limits. 1. Ethereum and its clones/forks/whatever use Ethash algorithm, not equihash 2. sols/s results mean youre now talking about equihash, but original poster asked about monero which uses cryptonight algo, not equihash 3. of course, priviet stated sol/s, but judging by his numbers, its probably typo and he meant H/s, which is proper for cryptonight (and I can confirm his numbers, even very cheap second hand 7850 1GB version has more than 400 H/s which is very good result for the money)

Is it possible to configure how many CPU cores to use when cpu mining XMR?

I think 560 is perfect for Electroneum mining because Diff Electroneum is small and very profitable for mining using 560 GPU
Short term, many coins are more profitable ATM, long term (if you don't change immediately into BTC or USD), who knows?

Every time they announced something big, price dropped...but I guess sooner or later it will inevitably go up, for once

During the "grand" correction only XRP recovered very fast, there was a very brisk trade and the price growth. I guess it will raise up to $2 in a few months.
if he will rise up to $2 then its Market Cap will exceed the etherium I not believe in it Forget about marketcap, it's not a good measurement. Ripple will be #1 in marketcap in 2018. Imposible, because ripple can not overtake eth and btc during one year All it needs is wide adoption and actual usage by banks...after that, anything is possible

Sorry to be stupid, but just to be clear, with something like this, you plug it in, attach to mother board and graphics cards and it just runs? No additional tweaking, soldering wires, tricking it to turn on etc?
Sounds like the main advantage over buying ordinary server supplies and tinkering with them all by yourself...hence the price difference

rx470 is more effective to mine ethereum ,and even r7 370 seems to be more economic than rx560 .
My R9 270X is on par with RX560 in EXP or UBIQ mining, but uses twice as much power...maybe even more It was cheaper to buy used, but its more expensive in the long run What sort of hashrate do you get for the R9 270X. On my Sapphire R9 270X 4GB I get 10Mh/s for Ethash and 455 h/s for Cryptonote (with Afterburner OC settings). It's just profitable enough to mine something like Electroneum with the R9 270X. Update; Modded BIOS on R2 270X, 1375 straps to 1500/1625/1750, now getting 10.5 Mh/s on Ethash and 463 h/s on Cryptonote, with Afterburner Core Clock 1200 & Mem Clock 1500. 14MH/s ethash, but mining expanse, since its 2GB card You used hex editor to copy straps? I don't dare to do it with mine

many coins did x2 this week and many did much more than that.. so i dont see anything special about that Indeed...I have some waves too, but I gained more from few other coins
