3681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO vs GAS? on: November 18, 2017, 06:29:47 PM
Since someone bought 1 month ago all GAS on poloniex up to 8 ETH per 1 GAS price, is
that some kind of indicator how high it will go now?
3682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Has A $250M Mysterious Address. What Is Going On? on: November 18, 2017, 05:57:32 PM
Maybe its Claymore address?
3683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO vs GAS? on: November 18, 2017, 05:52:05 PM
I think someone knows something big, as GAS was bought month ago in big quantity, up to 150 times
than list price (8 ETH for 1 GAS)
3684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: November 17, 2017, 10:28:13 PM
so ripple was a pump and dump for the news ?
looks like its back to where we began https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/ripple/usd

Guess we have to wait more Cheesy

Full custom strap  Cheesy

Well something is changed so in theory it IS custom, just no idea why 100s of hours and reflashes were needed to come to that Smiley

On serious side, micron original straps are already pretty good, unlike Hynix
3687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH is no too profitable as KRB on: November 17, 2017, 06:59:58 PM
Even if true, it has big downside...not listed on any reputable exchange

Yes it is. Karbowanec hasn't in Poloniex. Also in Poloniex did not want to start bitcoin cach. Only when he appeared on all exchanges except Poloniex. Then Poloniex launched a trade  bitcoin cache.

Just look https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/karbowanec/#charts
1000 dollars from the beginning of the year could turn into 70,000 dollars

No idea what BCH and Poloniex have with whole story
3688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Una Project - Cryptocurrency for Africa (MINING HAS STARTED!) on: November 17, 2017, 02:33:01 PM
IMHO, you should make announcement more in line with other coins, and also get listed
on coinmarketcap. For example, I have no idea where to find pool for your coin, or
what exchange it can be found on etc

I have ran this miner for a month, mining sigt.   I had fantastic result 135 Mh/s vs 111 with claymore.  I didn't see anything fishy just great result and stable.

Shame that developer abandoned it
3691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Still on Bitcoin mining and GPU on: November 16, 2017, 08:08:52 PM
Why is GPU Mining still possible on Monero?

Frankly speaking, the whole mining thing is just confusing to me. I once asked why mining Bitcoin with GPU isn't possible & I got several replies such as "due to Increase in mining difficulty."  Well, I used to think that as mining difficulty increases so should the GPUs. Instead of converting to ASICs...Miners could just buy 100 GPUs for example to continue making profits.

I guess Monereo Mining difficulty does increase too... why do all miners mining Monero still mine it with CPU & GPU and not heavy mining equipments?

Imagine if it were possible to buy 200 GPUs for example to mine Bitcoin instead of buying ASICs...The 200 GPUs may even consume less electricity?
By the way, GPU/CPUs are easily sourced anywhere. There are even several broken GPUs one could pick from garbages. I believe this will put an end to Bitcoin Centralization.

Its still possible to mine BTC using GPU, its just that for one ASIC that cost $3000, you need about 1800 1080 TI GPUs to get same hashing power.

I'll let you compare electricity expenses, graphic cards cost, and logistic problems using 300 rigs

You could mine monero with ASIC too, its just that that ASIC would cost about 5 million dollars, and not many people have that kind of money, and GPUs are still cheaper
3692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: November 16, 2017, 07:01:21 PM
So tired of Ripple, everytime big price jump and right after big correction. wtf is this. Banks controlling the coin already?

Guys, get it right. Ripple was NEVER a true public blockchain. It's always been a public-private one, aimed at financial institutions, allowing them to leverage blockchain technology. Saying that Ripple doing business with banks is bad, is like saying Apple shouldn't sell mobile phones. It's the core of their business model. Holding Ripple is like holding shares in the company. If you hold XRP, you should be glad to see this development.
Nobody said anything about dealing with banks is bad, were just concerned that such great news gave us nothing but a tiny pump and dump.

Frankly, I expected more volume, going from BCH to XRP probably, but it seems BCH/BTC war didn't settle yet, BCH still
has more than double XRP volume for the last 24h...we'll see what happens tomorrow I guess

Maybe that's all.. 0.22 and start drop already  Angry

If Bithumb volume reaches few billion like for BCH pump, we'll probably see bigger gains Smiley

3697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU RIG FRAME on: November 16, 2017, 10:56:58 AM
all you fools using wood for frames is just dumb, you do realize your giving your rig the ability to start a fire if something goes wrong. last time I checked wood makes good fire starter metal does not. and to those that use a full shelf that's not all that smart cause when you have to move said shelf you have to take off all the hardware, unless your going to move it with the hardware on it and take a chance to damage something like an idiot, id swear society is getting more and more stupid with each passing day, sure wood is cheaper than a lot of metal, but it poses risks, if anyone who has seen what happens when things go horribly wrong they know, and likely do not use wood frames. only takes 1 part to malfunction in such a way you lose it all because yall were just too careless to put some actual thought into the crafting of your frames, ya can blame no one but yourself

Tell that to retard that made metal frame that got himself killed, because unlike wood, metal actually conducts electricity

only retard here buddy is yourself and maybe that guy that got killed by electrocution lol, properly set up metal framed rig isn't going to do that, aluminum is a horrible conductor, while it still can, its a horrible conductor, now if steel was used now that lol could pose an issue. you happen to know what kind of material he used? chances are I bet steel was used aluminum with as much dc amps as were using would prolly melt the aluminum, ac same thing, aluminum doesn't handle current very well lol hence why it was used in houses for such a short period of time back in the day:D but hey you go ahead with a wooden frame to each there own lol, rig fires aint no joke, last I checked people have ALOT of them in there HOMES, all your doing is giving it fuel to burn better and hotter. also with the guy that died there is no way to know the whole story, for all you know he was careless and didn't check or do something before touching it or any other number of various reasons why it happened

I suggest you take some aluminium and go touch 220V, so we get rid of your stupid comments, lol
3698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU RIG FRAME on: November 16, 2017, 09:28:05 AM
Best is to build a rig in wood

Everybody chooses that they like. Wood frame could be good enough if it previosly prepared - i.e. saturated of special fire resistant fluid. It cheap and easy to process. But you can't  ground wood frame and it's violation in safety engineering of the using of electrical installation

Nothing prevents you from grounding your rig in wooden frame...its like saying you can't ground concrete
that your metal rig standing on, so its "violation in safety engineering of the using of electrical installation"
