3741  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ] Xeniumx copied Origin Protocol whitepaper! on: December 12, 2020, 02:16:39 PM
Please Note:..
<snip..>

What?! What do you mean that your document is a test? The fact that you posted your information online implies that you understood the consequences of it. The fact that you tried to remedy your situation where you say that this is a test is just unacceptable.

You plagiarized your whitepaper and there is no excuse from that. You deliberately copied the exact information on another website to make it appear that you constructed and formulated those ideas, which in fact do not.

Thank you for posting this, Rikaflip. I will tag and support the flag.

3743  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Ponzi Scheme running under the shadow of trading platform - Bitocent on: December 04, 2020, 09:48:57 PM
Minimum deposit required? =   ✓
Absurdly high interest rates? = ✓
Interest rates given in a short amount of time? = ✓
Early expiration of domain? =   ✓

Most of the requisites of being a scam ponzi scheme were met in this current project. Newbies should stay away at all cost at these offers especially that they may be pleasing to the beginner's eye. I really do hope that newbies would not attempt to even try any ponzi schemes in the future as all of these are traps to lure newbie investors.
As always, nice find TalkStar! Keep up the good work!

Let me introduce everyone with a different kind scam project who are running a fake trading platform but offering unrealistic return plans like ponzi projects. They are highly active on telegram and regularly sending messages to telegram users.

They are even active on telegram? Man, I do hope that people would not fall in to this trap as it is obviously a scam!
3744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this forum only source of income and bounty hunting? on: December 04, 2020, 09:03:40 PM
I find it funny that most members who participate in bounties are either newbies or jr. members who have little to nothing merits, then they complain on why they are not ranking up.

People should change their perspective about this forum. This was created in order for new/old members to learn, know, and communicate with other crypto-enthusiasts. This forum is also an avenue for newbies to discover and apply what they have learned and to contribute to the forum as a whole. It just so happened that the traffic in the forum is so high that lots of campaign signatures continue to exist.

If you see this forum solely as an alternative way of earning, then most probably you are also contributing to the spam. Try your very best to learn about cryptocurrencies as a whole in order to AT LEAST contribute to the forum.
3745  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Tapsgame Casino using fake team member photos! on: December 04, 2020, 08:44:33 PM
Very good find, Rikaflip!

I find it amusing and funny at the same time that the project team attempted to edit the pictures of their members in order to avoid being searched at. The audacity of these scammers posting fake photos of their team members in this forum given that there are numerous cases of the same offense just happened. The rule is, if one of the members of the team is fake, then most likely that everyone is fake!

I supported the flag and as always, keep up the good work!
3746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins price pump influence bitcoin price Negatively ? on: December 04, 2020, 07:51:03 PM
I have the impression that every-time bitcoin starts climbing steadily, the XRP pumps like crazy 100%+ within 24h, causing doubt in the entire market!
Are altcoins like stellar and xrp harming the bitcoin price by their manipulated pumps ?

Do you have any actual data to support your claim? Is this like a mere opinion without any factual basis?

Again, the prices of altcoins against bitcoin are independent of each other. Though there may be cases where both increase/decrease at the same time, one cannot fully justify that the reason for the change on their price is due to the other.
In order to understand the market of bitcoin, check the latest news on cryptocurrencies. There are lots of factors that need to be considered on their price increases/decreases.
3747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any recommendable good strategies for football gamblers on: December 04, 2020, 02:39:06 PM
I just want you peoples' opinions as it might help before choosing a club to stake good bet. I have tried live games but I have lost money from the online game, you will think the club you chose will win but later the opposite will happen. I later have to leave live matches to only stake on prematches which I believe would be better to earn, but still I am not profiting from gambling. I make use of bet predicting sites but yet they have proven to be not reliable.

What can I do now?

Is there any good bet predicting site you know that can help?

I highly suggest that you do your research and study the teams based on their history and roster.

The nice thing about sports betting is that the information is always available in the internet. You can study the teams, know their current rosters, and compare their recent games with each other. This also applies to all sports and not just football in general. You really have to exert effort if you really want to lower the chances of you losing the game.

Like what most members have already mentioned, research is the key!
3748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking Bitcoin profit in the bull run | Please Share your strategy on: December 03, 2020, 09:05:26 PM
Look at the price index of bitcoin and check the changes on its price on the following week.

You should be able to at least forecast its price by the end of this year's quarter and from that, you should decide whether to sell or acquire more bitcoins for the future. Though no one can accurately predict its price, you can check the information, news, and other related data that may help you decide whether to acquire more. Given the continuous bullish run of bitcoin, I highly suggest to HODL and to save your remaining BTCs and wait until the first quarter of 2021.
3749  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: (summary) The loan defaulted of this year (2020) on: December 03, 2020, 05:23:18 PM
Crazy to think that some of the members/users on the list were people who relatively contributed good to the forum. They also contained positive feedbacks given by trusted users arising from their good and trusted history.
It really strengthens the claim that a trusted user may not always be trusting as they are also in the position to take advantage and scam people. I just felt affected that asu was a good contributor in the Philippine local board but he contributed to the stigma that some Filipino members are scammers.

3750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange TBC to BTC on www.tbcexchangebtc.com on: December 03, 2020, 06:05:18 AM
Just to give everyone a reminder before trying out this exchange, the website showed testimonials of different people trying out the service. I discovered that one of the pictures of the testimonial came from a stock photo generated on a website. I highly advise to exercise extreme caution before trying out this exchange. 3751  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| November 2020 on: December 02, 2020, 07:51:06 PM
Recently ive been playing on stake and i can say that they had huge withdrawal fee in BTC. I tried to make some withdrawal and the fee was about 0.0002 which is totally out of this world

where you do try to check the entire mempool situation which the lowest priority does have only 20 sats per byte.So i did make some conversion to ETH.. Arent they making their fee on dynamic ones?

This is to be expected especially that the market is experiencing a bullish run of bitcoin in the past few day. To be honest, expect it to increase further in the upcoming weeks if the price index continues to rise until the last quarter of this year.

My advice would be to withdraw your funds in one go. Avoid withdrawing them on a piece-meal basis since this will cost more in the long run. Hopefully other gambling websites have relatively low transaction fees despite the bullish run.
3752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason behind creating Bitcoin. on: December 02, 2020, 07:26:20 PM
<snip...>

Decentralization and free of control from any third-party institutions.

The creation of the blockchain technology gave birth to bitcoin which serves as a currency which cannot be altered or modified. Imagine this scenario for its application in real-life: you are in a supermarket and you see an orange for sale. After going to the counter, the barcode was scanned and you saw its price together with all the modifications/processes done to it. This information posted cannot be altered since the blocks are being checked every single minute on the transaction.

The birth of bitcoin is one of the revolutionary technology which has the potential of MAYBE(?) replacing the modern fiat currency in the fat future.
3753  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Vote 2020] Best Bitcointalk Interview on: December 02, 2020, 07:19:03 PM
My vote has to go to:

Code:
gmaxwell

It is actually an absolute pleasure reading his interview along with his history, information, and knowledge on the cryptocurrencies. I learned some useful information especially about 'forks' and I hope that I will be able to earn also from that technique. In addition, he was right about the DeFi system since the ANN board has been plagued by recycled, plagiarized, and copied projects from one DeFi project to another.
3754  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] DiceNode (DNO) - Fake Team on: December 02, 2020, 10:49:37 AM
Nice catch OP, as always. Account tagged and flag supported.

Beside fake team, I think that something more sinister might be behind this, and it's malware links inside thier wallet. If you check their github account ( https://github.com/Marloondev) you will see that it's only 2 days old. Maybe I am just paranoid, but I am gonna report it Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! so someone with more expertise might check it. Better safe than sorry.

Thank you for pointing this out, Rikaflip.

Upon checking the several links posted on their ANN, one of their files contained a malware. I'll be posting the link below of the virustotal scan and a screenshot. I will also report this to the moderators for quick action.

3756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pizza Hut accepts bitcoin on: December 02, 2020, 08:34:08 AM
<snip..>

This is pretty big.

Imagine, those number of stores support bitcoin as payment; this would also serve as a form of advertisement to people about the existence of the blockchain technology. With more users knowing and using bitcoin, this would more or less attract other businesses from accepting bitcoin as a payment. Ultimately, the government would have to implement regulations but this may actually remove the stigma of bitcoin as a scam currency.
3757  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM Alert] Investmenow.com Ponzi scheme offering 500% hourly for 59 hours! on: December 01, 2020, 08:25:06 PM
Why are they offering this much to clients instead of about earn themselves? HAHA Old tricks using again and again.

With this bullish run in bitcoin, scammers tend to create ponzi projects that are obviously fake in order to attract newbie investors from falling to their trap. In our perspective, those rates are ridiculously and disgustingly high but on the eyes of a newbie, that might tempt them to try it out. I fell from the same trap years ago and I sworn to myself that I will try my best to at least avoid these newbies from experiencing loss.

Good find, OP and keep up the good work! Continually report these ponzi projects in order to notify everyone.
3758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What your aim in bitcointalk ? on: December 01, 2020, 06:48:03 PM
One of the largest bitcoin forum available for all,
You are granted free access to join the forum with out any exception so far you follow the governing rules of the forum.

What is your aim in bitcointalk forum?
Some will say it to make money
Some will say it's to gain more knowledge of bitcoin and the crypto world
   All depends on you .....

As someone who lives in a third-world country with a single dad supporting a family of five, this forum significantly contributed me to support myself as a post-graduate student.

I joined this forum last 2017 and I remembered that my primary goal was to earn. I guess most people share the goal as I did before so I joined campaigns in order to at least support myself by buying books and materials so that my dad could allocate the other expenses to my siblings. When I got involved in a ponzi scam (usi-tech), I lost ~$150 and I thought to myself that I had to contribute something which can help prevent others from experiencing my tragedy.

I changed my perspective in this forum and I tried my best to at least help via reporting scammers in the ANN boards.
3759  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [DeFi SCAM] Uniswap Gold - Plagiarized whitepaper on: December 01, 2020, 03:24:01 PM
Nice find, witcher_sense.

To be honest, I am actually proud that less projects that either have plagiarized whitepapers and/or fake team members are listed on the ANN board of this forum. Recently, there also has been a good community of scam busters in the forum that help clean malwares and other scam projects. Though this project is not listed in the forum, it is still beneficial to everyone (forum member or not) as it serves as a warning before they invest.

Keep up the good work and I will support every member who does the same as well!
3760  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help Me About [Merit] on: November 30, 2020, 08:30:32 PM
Hello
Dear Bitcointalk Members i am being part of merit campaign for earning some merit i am joined almost 6+ campaign.
But anyone they post who's topic not giving me anything plz any other way to get some merit plz tell me

Judging by your post history alone, I doubt that a member of this forum would send you a merit due to the fact that it contained full posts of you joining bounty campaigns. If you truly want to receive any merit from the members, change the way you post by contributing something beneficial or amusing to the forum. Learn about cryptocurrencies and share what you have learned.

I have said this a thousand times already and I will say it again, do not chase for merits. Rather, chase for contribution in the forum.
