2841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Liquidchain - First L1 Blockchain Enabling On-chain Liquidity Mining on: October 14, 2021, 07:38:31 AM
Hi, upon checking the "developers" page listed on the website, it seems that the website link is non-existent since the webpage shows nothing. In addition, will it be possible if you could add pictures of the team members who created this project? Though you have provided a Litepaper, it would be better if you could also publish your Whitepaper for everyone to see.

Nevertheless, hoping that this project would be successful. Thanks!

2842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is telling people you're into stocks "cool" but crypto is a big secret? on: October 11, 2021, 05:25:29 PM
Ever noticed how people would boast or proudly proclaim (or at least used to) that they invest and trade stocks, but they don't feel the same way about crypto, as if it's a secret never to be shared? Why is that?

I think it has to do with the recognition of stocks compared to cryptocurrencies.

Remember that trading stocks is a legal way of investing either short/long-term as it is recognized globally. Not to mention, almost all of tyrants in the business world are engaged into stocks. That is why, whenever someone mentions that they are into stocks, people assume that they are knowledgeable on the market.

As for cryptocurrencies, there are countries which prohibit the utlization and transaction of such. Being decentralized, it has this anonymity factor where transactions cannot be traced. This posed a problem before where it has been used as a money laundering scheme which further degraded crypto's reputation over the years.
2843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I need to learn techincal Analysis? on: October 11, 2021, 05:00:10 PM
I invested in cryptocurrency in March of this year for Experimental. What I understand is that you should not invest only by reading the post or by searching Google. I should learn market analysis. Or there is another way to understand the market?

Like in stocks, you do not just invest on something without having proper research or background check on the investment that you just purchased.

In stocks, there are factors that you have to consider before you invest into one. Both the external and internal factors have to be studied and researched well so you could relatively speculate and forecast its price on the market. On the question you provided, there seems to be a fatal mistake- which is investing into something without knowing the product. This could lead to poor performance which may dismay you from investing further.

Next time before you invest, do proper research. The internet contains vast materials that you could learn from.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: October 11, 2021, 04:03:33 PM
There is less than one hour left for the big race. Hamilton will have a really tough job to do in this race as he is going to start at the eleventh position. He did his best by ending the qualifying session as the leader. Bottas is going to start from the pole but I think that Verstappen will take the lead from Bottas in a short time. Hamilton must climb as many places as possible not to be left too much behind in the driver standings. I think that Verstappen will win the race.

Bottas had a very good start and is doing a very good job at the front, Tsunoda held Hamilton off for a few laps and cost Hamilton a lot of time and is currently 6th, but the Ferrari is also very fast and I think Ferrari will be on the podium.

To be honest, I was really surprised by the decision of the team to change the tires of Seb during the race. Unfortunately, the risk did not pay off as it costed him as the rain continued to pour. As for Hamilton, the decision of the team also costed him some points which led to Verstappen to be at the top.

Congratulations for Bottas for his clean race! I'll surely miss him once he transfers to Alfra Romeo since he has this consistent driving as it catches everyone off-guard. Like I literally see him as the silent but deadly racer. But again, p2 and p3 both for Redbull and they got the bacon for this Turkish Grand Prix.
2845  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto will rival or replace fiat in 10 years? on: October 11, 2021, 03:38:38 PM
76% of finance professionals believe that digital assets “will serve as a strong alternative to, or outright replacement for, fiat currencies in the next 5-10 years,” according to Deloitte’s annual global blockchain survey.

Is there any possibility that this could happen or this was just another speculation that is impossible to believe, but if we are going to look at the percentage of finance professionals that believe on the possible replacement of fiat with digital assets I think we are in 90% basis in favor of rival or replacement of fiat. Show me your comments about this news guys if you believe or not with this possible replacement?

I highly doubt so.

Fiat was created in order to have a standardize unit of currency across the globe. With the value of fiat depending on the number of gold reserves, inflation, etc. of a country, it is recognized globally that there are currencies which hold a greater value compared to others. Bearing that in mind, what cryptocurrency lacks is the recognition and implementation widescale.

Remember that if crypto were to replace fiat, countries would have to implement technological application for its transactions. Of course, developed countries have no problem with this but underdeveloped and some third-world countries would be prejudiced by this. There are other priorities that such countries must focus (e.g. education, transportation, etc.) and shifting to a digitalized currency is like the least of their problem at the time being.
2846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 11, 2021, 02:49:52 PM
Yes, maybe we will see Russ and Lebron together in the game or Russ coming off the bench to lead the second team.

There is no chance we'll be seeing Russ come off the bench to lead the second team.  The guy is one of the best basketball  players in the world.  The Lakers are lucky to have him on their starting unit.  He's been struggling pretty bad shooting from the field in the preseason, but I'm sure it's because he's working on things and getting ready to make a push for a championship.  I have complete faith the Lakers are going to start kicking some serious ass once they get a feel for each other.  Usually I'd say it takes at least a season playing together before a chip is possible, but I think these old guys will find their stride by the all star break.

Like what I previously mentioned, as an individual player, Lakers are fully stacked with exceptional talent and superstars. I think their first five and bench consists of all-star players back on their prime.

Their game earlier against the Suns show on how the Lakers lack their team chemistry and ball rotation. Though Melo showed a vintage performance of his non-stop 3s and deadly midrange shots, their turnovers what killed them starting on the 3rd quarter. Chris Paul showed an exceptional performance on his 3s earlier. His just really an outstanding PG across the field.
2847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you miss Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2021, 01:41:49 PM
In recent years, more and more people have started to talk about Bitcoin with me, and the most common words are:

1. I started paying attention to it many years ago, but unfortunately I didn't buy it.
2. I bought it before, but it was a pity that I got off too early.
3. I should have listened to you at that time, buy some.

As someone who joined this forum last 2017, I came to discover the existence of BTC due to my friend who introduced me to this forum. At first, I thought that this forum was only an avenue to earn alternative income via posting threads similar to economics or other areas related to such. But upon browsing the forum, I discovered about BTC and its potential application in the future of transactions.

I think generally, most people already knew about BTC but they refused to dwell on such subject mainly due to media and on how the latter portrayed it to be. In addition, the first years of BTC were crucial as lots of issues started to surface.
2848  Other / Off-topic / Re: BattleBots : Is This Another Form of Sports? on: October 11, 2021, 06:42:06 AM
A few years ago in my country they even showed BattleBots on one of the cable TV channels. It's quite a spectacular competition that can be used for betting. I do not know if I would bet on these competitions, but I'm sure that if you add such a possibility will increase the number of fans and therefore the possible bettors.

I think what hinders from BattleBots from being popular is due to its cost. Creating and providing parts for each bot may costs an estimate of $40,000-$50,000 depending on the parts that individual players put. Another thing, since budgeting is an area in which most people have problems, there exists an inferiority where teams that have a higher budget can put whatever upgrades or parts to their advantage.

While BattleBots may seem fun from the viewer's perspective, I doubt that we will see a wide-scale implementation where betting could be applicable due to its uncertainty when it comes to its future.
2849  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ten Years... and the next decade... on: October 11, 2021, 01:25:58 AM
I find it very interesting na si OP, backed by evidence, ay somehow accurate sa kanyang prediction, though ang price ngayon ng 1 BTC ay nasa $55,000. Pero kung titignan talaga natin based on its price history index, ang norm talaga ay tumataas ang presyo ng BTC through the years.

Kaya madaming nag sasabe na in the few years to come, may potensyal talaga na tumaas pa ang price niya for long-term investment. That is also why, view BTC as a form of investment rather than an alternative mode of income. Though depende pa rin naman to kung gusto mo mag short/long-term investment, nasasayangan lang talaga ako if hindi nag long-term investment dito.
2850  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments capitulate and finally recognize Bitcoin as a legal tender? on: October 10, 2021, 06:29:43 PM
This question entirely depends on the laws/regulations of the country. When we mean by 'legal tender', it means that a person may be compelled to be paid using such currency since the government recognizes its validity and transaction on the country.

I do think that BTC, by being a legal tender, will pose problems in some countries especially in third-world and underdeveloped countries where access to such technology is hindered. When you rely something that is volatile as a legal tender, people might not opt to choose such option especially if they rely so much on their income. This is only beneficial to countries that are thriving economically where they can exercise BTC as a form of investment.
2851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 10, 2021, 05:58:33 PM
This was one of the best heavyweight fights I ever watched and Fury deserved to get this KO win, not only that but he would win every time against Wilder who showed he is small person who can't accept defeat and show respect and give hand to the winner.

Like what I have mentioned on a similar thread, this is without a doubt, the best heavy weight trilogy that I have ever witnessed in my life. It is such an opportunity to see two (2) warriors battle head-on with all those punches being thrown at each other. The destructive power of Wilder and the flexibility, speed, and skill of Fury just made it the fight of the century.

It definitely revived the competitiveness in the heavyweight category as they are somehow overshadowed by the fights happening in lower weight divisions. As this fight is now concluded, we can definitely say that Fury owned Wilder on this trilogy.
2852  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LONG TERM INVESTMENT REMAINS THE BEST on: October 10, 2021, 05:37:35 PM
I think the price history of BTC says a lot about itself. There is a term in law called res ipsa loquitur where it means "the thing speaks for itself."

The greatest example is to refer to the price history of BTC through the years. I started joining this forum last 2017 where the price of 1 BTC was around $4,000. Currently, its price is roughly around ~$55,000 with a 10% increase this week. That is why, HODL long term for maximum value but this may depend on your goal as an investor. If you do not rely on your investments as a source of income, better leave it to mature for long-term usage.
2853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Podcast : Bitcoin on: October 10, 2021, 03:54:08 PM
I have a question about the podcast- does it focus more on the analyzation of the price of BTC and speculation of it on the following years? Or, does it involve explaining the fundamentals of the cryptocurrency technology (AKA blockchain) for newbies to understand?

As much as I want to listen to podcasts revolving around BTCs, I hesitate to do so since the speakers there already assume that the listeners are already adept or knowledgeable about the principles of BTC and its mechanics. I do hope that you create an episode where you explain the basics/fundamentals of it for easier understanding for newbies who are reluctant to join this opportunity.
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FURY VS WILDER WHO YA GOT? #FuryWilder3 on: October 10, 2021, 05:59:23 AM
This trilogy is just every boxing fan's dream. We got to see all the action and this last fight was the conclusion to this great trilogy between two heavyweight fighters that are the greatest on their field.

On round 3, Wilder was knocked out from that punch made by Fury. But in round 4, Wilder retaliated and knocked Fury down two (2) times during the round. Though one might argue that it was imbalance that caused Fury to fall, scored said otherwise. On round 10, Fury made a fatal punch on the left ear of Wilder that caused him to fall. But on round 11, that was the knockout blow that ended the trilogy. Fury came victorious as Wilder was a warrior for fighting the Gypsy King for 11 rounds.

Mad respect for Wilder and I hope he takes this loss as a testament to his career- not blaming to any excuses or conspiracies.

2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 10, 2021, 01:45:46 AM
Upon watching the game of GSW vs Lakers, the Warrior's bench is just too deep. Since they are too focus on the offensive 3-point threat of Curry on the court, he intentionally runs on the court looking for quick and easy 2s while leaving the other Warriors open for 3s. Jordan Poole has shown significant improvement over the last seasons and on that game, he stepped up and showed on what he is capable of.

Lakers still have to find their chemistry around the court. Without a doubt, as individual players, they are gifted with the likes of Westbrook, Carmelo, Bazemore, James, but they have yet to fix their ball movement and team chemistry.
2856  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 09, 2021, 05:19:18 PM
Withdrawal can become a habit. Once you develop the habit of withdrawing either fiat or converting your crypto holding to local currency for use, It almost becomes so difficult to break.

Needs and wants/problems to solve with money never stop arising, how do you handle your withdrawal? Be sincere, considering that local currency is becoming less of value as the cost of things are constantly rising now, so much that the cost price today is not the cost price tomorrow. Is a budget still effective in your opinion?

I think having a good budget for the rest of the month is essential in order to prevent withdrawing your BTCs, but this all depends on your goal.

Some people see their BTCs either as a short or long-term investment primarily for the purpose of proceeds and/or extra income. As such, when its price reaches an ATH or when their investment reaches a price higher than that of their initial investment, they would withdraw the proceeds and enjoy the fruits of BTC's volatility.

Personally, I was once a person who withdrew all of my BTCs as soon as I got them. But right now, I never touched my BTCs as i will save them for long-term investment.
2857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 09, 2021, 05:11:11 PM
I'd like to hear tips/tricks/strategies for both!

Back in the days, if you have a good hand, always go for checks. On the first wave of three (3) pool cards, just check until someone raises even if you have good hands. Though this may vary, it is better to have a decisive pattern on bluffing as people might read your bluffs.

Another tip in bluffing, just raise and raise the pot until you spotted someone who is relatively weak in his will. Again, this may work in physical casinos since you get to observe people's behavior but in online, just stick with just checks.
2858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to see Bitcoin legal in your country? on: October 09, 2021, 04:58:49 PM
I think rather than being 'legal', I do hope that the government considers it by giving business owners the option to pay BTC/cryptocurrencies as the income of its employees. Since by law, only legal tender is allowed as a form of income, this may involve an amendment in the laws by allowing cryptocurrencies to possess the characteristics of legal tender without being one.

The legalization of BTC in the country would have its drawbacks. As much as its exposure is beneficial, stringent regulations would be imposed that may potentially destroy its volatility in the process.
2859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am unable to post image In Bitcointalk Forum? on: October 09, 2021, 04:34:52 PM
Hi guys I am new here. I want to upload pic in this forum thread. Cause I am unable to do this. I watch YouTube videos and there are nothing about these. I would be pleased if someone share it with me. I will be pleased if someone help me.

I think others have already mentioned that before you can post pictures in the forum, your forum rank must be of a "Jr. Member" which requires you to earn 1 merit and 30 activity points on your account.

If you think that you are unable to meet the said criteria or if you are in a rush to post something, then I recommend purchasing a "Copper" membership in the forum. The benefits of being a copper member is that you have all powers of a Jr. Member without any restrictions (you can post pictures in the forum).

In the event that you do purchase a copper membership or if you become a Jr. Member, I recommend using https://postimages.org/ in posting images.
2860  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 08, 2021, 06:28:45 PM
A "instant cashout" casino where the hotwallet is ALWAYS empty. At a certain point, call it what it is, they're choosing to leave the hot wallet empty. It's not as if an unexpected surge of cash outs is the problem.
But don't worry, you can still play your crypto in the meantime! Hot wallet will be filled as soon as you bust.
If you get bored, don't forget to come to chat and have one of the mods repeatedly literally harrass you, including specifically banning you for 3 minutes then unbanning you (because they weren't justified to begin with) just so you won't get rain anymore ("the same person shouldn't be getting top spot every rain")

Oh and promo? That doesn't even exist anymore.

Hi, before you post any accusation, make sure that you collate your evidence against the project. Posting an accusation without substantiating any proof will not hold any water. In addition, please post this thread accordingly under the right board.

Though there may have been some accusations against something, always remember to follow it up with all the proof/evidences you have. Mere claiming that a website is a scam due to some irregularities will not be heeded. Remember that the internet is a tangled web where one information is spread easily to another, thereby causing the destruction of the image of such website.
