Congratulations Team Spirit on managing to complete there Cinderella Run on this TI. Honestly I can't believe that they really beat LGD with a strong draft. TS momentum really help to win this fight.

It started after beating OG and now they are the champions. I’m still disappointed on how SGD plays in the finals but its already over, the underdog made a strong statement that they are the team to beat and it happened. Congrats to Team Spirit, and to those who took the risk ok placing their bet for Team Spirit.

There we have it! We are very privileged to witness 5 games of pure action and showcase of skill from both teams.

Games 1 and 2 showed the confidence of Team Spirit in their draft and skill. The dominance of Yotoro's farm as Naga and Luna showed significant potential as he was ahead of everyone.

Games 3 and 4 showcased the experience of LGD and their individual skill as players. The last pick of Tinker destroyed the draft of TS in which it held PA obsolete to the game.

Game 5 was just really everything that we could imagine but Collapse's Magnus changed and turned the tide of the battle. The first ten (10) minutes were in favor of LGD's side as they were ahead of the net worth. But it all changed once Magnus got his blink and shard on where they were picking heroes like it's a toy museum. Similar in their game against OG, the tiny+lycan draft was unable to match the prowess of Magnus and TB.

Congratulations for TS for their victory and to all betters who won!
2822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 17, 2021, 11:58:50 PM
A player with a good hand makes a decision very quickly, and a player who takes longer than usual to make a decision obviously doubts his cards.

I cant fully agree with this assumption. If you think so, you might be tricked easily by your opponent. I think you need to watch some videos of poker competition where you can see many popular players in the same table. You'll see, even if someone own a very good hand and have lets say 90% winning chance, the player will not do it fast. Most will act like they are thinking about the probabilities or even they will act like they are doubting their own cards to trick their opponents.

Yeah I agree with you as well that this is absolutely not the case.  By saying that, or playing with having that in mind, you're going to fall to bluffs really easily.  One of the worst things you can do is be too aggressive and make your moves too quickly.  That is just often a dead giveaway that you've got a good hand and you're likely to have people just folding on you and your good hand.
And this takes us to the fascinating world of poker tells, obviously unless you get to know a player and you play in person this is pretty much impossible to apply but expert poker players use tactics similar to what you would expect from people in security agencies to give themselves an edge, you probably have seen this as well on those poker tournaments on TV, probably the best I have seen at this is Phil Hellmuth as I have seen him literally guessing the cards his opponent had in an impressive display of skill.

Just a quick question, is the art of guessing have some mathematical application behind or is it based on pure memory and luck of such players?

I have watched some of the notable games of Daniel Negreanu and I am just baffled and amazed on how he can accurately guess the cards of the players depending on their body language. Though there were times that his guesses were wrong, most of the time it hit the mark which really puts it in a perspective on how skillful (?!) poker players are in an international level.

2823  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: October 17, 2021, 11:52:39 PM
Truth be told  both investors are doing very well.  My question now is , Who is Happier?  Is it the Stock investor or the Bitcoin investor?

"Happier" is a subjective term which is totally dependent on one's feelings. While stock investors or bitcoin investors may seem to gain profit differently, there are lots of factors to consider on which of them is "happier". The answer might be totally different if the question is phrased as "who earns more profit"?

Personally I do think that stock investors are relatively more happier in terms of earning stocks and realizing profit. Stock investing has existed ever since and it has been recognized by countries all over the world. While investing into BTC may be more profitable and easier, stock trading has the advantage of being legal and recognized by the government. They suffer no risk of prohibition since it is heavily regulated by our respective SEC (Securities and Exchange Commissions).
2824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We enter a new era of heavy regulations on: October 17, 2021, 04:40:51 PM
The more businesses that see cryptocurrencies as an opportunity to earn, the more that the government will be putting it under their radar. Though there may be some countries where the government supports the implementation of cryptocurrencies to their payment methods (e.g. El Salvador seeing BTC as legal tender, etc.), it comes with a heavy price of regulations, like you mentioned OP.

I think this is one of its natural effects given the price of BTC in the market. The more its price increases, the more that regulations would be stricter. I just do hope that this will not contribute to its downfall.
2825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 17, 2021, 02:27:12 PM
While I am quite aware that game 3 is on its way (LGD vs TEAM SPIRIT), can I just make a comment on how Team Spirit managed to dictate the pace of the game on the last 2 games? In game 1, Naga was so far ahead of everyone in his farm in which her illusions controlled most of the map. Ursa did not stand a chance along with the ensnare aghs of Naga.

On game 2, what can I say? MAGNUS GOD performance showed by Collapse. He made the heroes of LGD fear visibility on the map. With those constant de-wards and night vision, they were able to pick LGD's heroes 1 by 1 with that skewer combo.

I am all in for Team Spirit on this ride. I may have doubted them at first due to their experience but they have shown significant team potential and play with those two games.
2826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 16, 2021, 10:30:34 PM
My question is : *How far is day trading from Gambling according to you?*
Is that a valid comparison?? Are we soon going to consider the day trading *gambling?*

Both involve risk but the nature of risking their money is different.

In gambling, mostly rely on luck in order to profit from every round. There is no thinking required since you either push slots and pray; or you play card games that both require some level of thinking and luck.

In trading, a person is required to analyze both the internal and external factors of an investment in order to arrive at a decision whether to purchase or not. Traders also rely on their experience whether to purchase a certain investment or to sell their current investments. Though both rely on luck, trading cryptocurrencies is considered to be more technical since you can lower your risks of losing your investments.
2827  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 16, 2021, 10:16:52 PM
There are too many people who buy when it is going up and sell when it is going down. That is a bit of a problem in the crypto world, I do not know how we can fix it but I believe that it is certainly something that would be a bit weird if you consider what we are doing right now. I mean if we buy when it is going down and sell when it is going up then we are making a profit and that is how trading is done, that is exactly what we should be doing.

However, if we are making a loss right at when we should be making a profit because we are doing exactly the opposite then I am not going to be really sure how to help these people out neither.

I think in general, that is the norm that everyone should follow: "purchase low, sell high" in order to maximize any profit from our investments.

The only problem that I see is that people sometimes mistakenly invest into BTC without even knowing what it is. Then, they start to complain once their investment goes down by 5-10% without even knowing about its volatility. Then, they start to spread rumors and fake information about BTC being regarded as a 'scam' since their friends profited and they lost.

Before you invest, it is advisable to do proper research into any investment. Blindly investing into something without even knowing its nature, history, and currency would lead to one's downfall.

Upang matanggap ang BTC as a form of medium of exchange, dapat makita ito as a form of 'legal tender', so need mag issue ni BSP ng circiular o gumawa ang Congreso ng batas na nakikita nito ang BTC bilang isang legal tender.

2829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 16, 2021, 04:59:34 PM
I think PSG are very likely to win the International 10 tournament at this stage. They have been consistent performer and have thrashed all their opponents. Their level and coordination is on another level compared to all other teams. They have been surprised by some of the teams in some rounds but they have done well to make a comeback and win.

Right now we have Team Secret waiting in lower bracket final for the winner of Team Spirit and Invictus gaming.

Same here, I'm expecting LGD to win this TI. The team that has a good chance on fighting LGD was IG based on there previous matches on other tournament. Both Team Secret and Team Spirit is always been defeated by LGD on any Dota tournament before and also on group stage. I don't know if any of this two team on LB can give a good fight against LGD.

I know that Team Spirit is currently on fire on there LB run but I believe that they will fall short again in the finals. I think Team Spirit will defeat Team Secret in there match.

Have you seen the game of LGD vs Secret? The way they executed their team fights was such a privilege to witness. Not to mention, Ame with zero (0) deaths on both games with a Godlike streak? How on earth how he did that?

It seems like LGD is the favorite to win this year's TI. With their performance, I do think that they have all the chances to win and sweep the tournament. Though the dark horse of this year's TI is Team Spirit, it will all boil down to their experience as a team in case they win on the upper bracket.

The race in Austin is interesting because there are two large straight sections and the advantage of high-speed cars there will be obvious.  In addition, the turns are wide and pilots can use different trajectories.  In general,
I'm looking forward to this race.
Let's see if Bottas can prove himself a hero, as it was in Turkey?  Smiley

Well, if we all agree Bottas only can do well if he protects and not attacks, then he only wins this if he is fastest driver to get pole. Which he never really has been.

Hamilton in pole, and then it's over, so people will hope for more penalties. Verstappen podium but not certain of 1st.

^ To be honest, it is not Bottas' work to be the aggressor, It's Hamilton's. Bottas works as his wingman and support. But from what you have said about the tracks, I feel that Mercedes will have an advantage in this race as their cars excel in straight paths and as the turns are even wide, Hamilton will be able to win the race if he gets enough support from Bottas and doesn't make any big mistake.

One thing that I admire about Bottas is on how consistent he drives every race. In addition, he is a bit compliant regarding their team's decision to let Hamilton through but this will all change once he transfers to Alfa Romeo this 2022!

In addition, I think that the next race will favor Mercedes along with the wide curves and straights on the racing field. Along with a hungry and mad Hamilton, he surely won't miss this opportunity to grab more points and to be the leader against Verstappen.
2831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can bitcoin exist without fiat on: October 16, 2021, 04:00:05 PM
Since i joined bitcointalk forum i find it difficult to make a post relating to bitcoin, bitcoin is like physical money (fiat), and i want to know the difference between fiat and bitcoin, and without fiat existence can bitcoin have a name?, after thinking all this  with seriousness i concluded that bitcoin and fiat works like brothers and sisters and no one can leave each other, so i want to know if any other digital currency can function without fiat?.

Hmm this is actually an interesting question!

But to better understand the answer, we must first discussed on what "fiat" is all about. Fiat is a representation of money which has a value recognized around the world. Since it is the standard of currency used worldwide, every country has their respective value of money depending on several factors (e.g. inflation, gold reserves, etc.). Since fiat is a representation of money, we can now answer your question if BTC can exist without fiat.

The long answer is YES! It can definitely exist without fiat but there has to be some other representation of value which is BTC's equivalent. That could be anything which is in replacement of fiat.
2832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Challenge with small investment in bitcoin on: October 16, 2021, 03:14:05 PM
Interesting observation and data, OP.

Like what I previously mentioned to threads when it comes to investing into BTC, the best time to invest will always be the time you come to know about its existence. If you are a seasoned investor, then the rule of "purchasing low, selling high" will always be applicable, though relatively difficult to anticipate.

I am also from the middle class OP but I also do not have the luxury of investing $50/week though I earn most of my funds through my signature campaign funds. Given that the price of bitcoin increased by at least 5-10% this week, it's better to purchase it for long-term investment.
2833  Economy / Economics / Re: Steam bans blockchain games on: October 15, 2021, 11:12:41 PM
https://twitter.com/SpacePirate_io/status/1448713803680473089

Steam decided to kick all blockchain games because they tend to feature real money trading for in-game items.

IMO this is a good decision, at the current state blockchain games are just another vehicle for speculative investments and even scams, and unsuspecting people shouldn't be lured into them.

This is interesting news. Here I thought that I was going to experience playing blockchain games in Steam but this move is going to be healthier in Steam's ecosystem in the long-run given the current state of cryptocurrencies in different countries.

Assuming that Steam remained those games in their platform, this would eventually lead to their downfall once a cryptocurrency is declared prohibited or banned. Another thing, some of these blockchain games also avoid taxes on some countries- that is why having to prohibit such games will benefit Steam's reputation and image in the future.

Aside from the possibility of plagiarism --which I'm somewhat sure they'll use that "we hired content creator" excuse-- and their tokenomy details --which when I glanced at it, I see they have FIVE tokens!-- I would suggest everyone to thread carefully on investing on this project. Poking my curious eyes into their tg, it seems they used to be a local focused group before deciding to go public.

Thank you very much for your added information, @holydarkness. From the information you gathered, I think there is indeed the presumption that most of its TG followers were once bots in order to increase the said users and use it to attract people from believing that their project is supported by hundreds.
The fact that most of the conversations were deleted and some replies were very generic (e.g. "nice project", etc.), we can safely assume that people should be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS before they invest.

By tomorrow, I may open a scam accusation against this project for (1) failure of OP to answer against the allegations; and (2) for the added information you brought.

About OG vs TS then no doubt i would hands down for OG.
Sad ending. Team Spirit took down OG for two games straight with an "ez game" all chat by torontotokyo.  Tongue

There's no more 3-peat hopeful for this TI10. Team Spirit's performance is awesome and they're the dark horse of this tournament. Let's see if they'll take down Virtus.Pro after T1 and VG's game.

I think in terms of mental state, VP is on the state because TS' just came from 2 straight games although they have a few hours of rest.

Man when I saw OG getting crushed, it made me realize that they are not truly an "immortal team" especially with their 2-peat. After the game, I saw Sumail's face completely shattered- like he was in a state of shock after the game. Game 2 was truly a disaster as TS were dominating the early matchups. I think the draft was pretty weak on OG's side especially that all of the focus was centered towards Sumail getting farmed.

Nevertheless, I expect Secret to win this year's TI! While I do think that TS is the dark horse of this tournament, their experience will be their downfall once they face a more experienced team soon.
2836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if stop believing about bitcoin ? on: October 15, 2021, 04:07:33 PM
Bitcoin has no physical presence. What if we just stop believing in bitcoin. I mean every country has the equivalent of gold to their fiat. Bitcoin has no gold or physical value. Can this ever happen ?

Stocks have no physical value also, so why do they cost a fortunate especially to some blue-chip companies? Remember that the price of BTC derives from the persons who are willing to pay such price. In addition, the price of BTC also stems from the law of supply and demand due to its inflation of only 21 million in supply.

Many have seem to invalidate the actual use of BTC and only see it as an investment opportunity. Remember that BTCs were created in order to eliminate the need for a third-party consensus in our transactions. While its price is significantly high, such is only its secondary use for the time being.
2837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 15, 2021, 08:44:54 AM
The game between Nets vs Timberwolves show on how James Harden matured as a player. He definitely knows his role in the game as he was able to dish out 14 assists. Since he knows that Durant will be able to dominate the playing field, he acted as a support for his teammates, which he made them better. I am looking forward to see other games of Nets and on how they are managing their chemistry.

Unfortunately, Lakers have yet to formalize their team chemistry with each other. Like what I previously mentioned, their individual players are skilled (most are all-stars) but as a team, they have to work on their chemistry and ball movement more.
2838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 14, 2021, 04:13:55 PM
poor EG. Two of my favorite teams got eliminated today, EG and Alliance  Sad

As far as I know, I think all NA teams have been eliminated in the International now? The problem with EG stems from their team fights and decision-making. I mean, Arteezy is definitely a gifted player as he can farm well and be at the top of the net worth. But when it comes to team fights, sometimes I slightly question his decisions on being too aggressive.

In addition, Abed is a skilled and talented player which can use a variety of heroes in his pool. Limiting his choices to only three (3) heroes in the game vs VG is like limiting his overall talents.

In addition, will it be possible if you could add pictures of the team members who created this project? Though you have provided a Litepaper, it would be better if you could also publish your Whitepaper for everyone to see.

Nevertheless, hoping that this project would be successful. Thanks!
