3781  Other / Meta / Re: The Avatar would have to be optional in signature campaigns? on: November 25, 2020, 07:56:23 PM
I only suggest that the user decide freely if they want to use their avatar or the signature image

In my honest opinion, this falls upon the discretion of the campaign manager but I doubt that such request may be granted.

If I were a businessman and I hired a campaign manager to advertise my business in the forum, I would mandatorily require wearing of avatars as a precondition to join the campaign due to more exposure. Though signatures give exposure already (relative to the rank of the user), seeing someone with an avatar has the impact of associating and remembering my business quickly.

Good detective work OP on catching plagiarized whitepaper, and I don't think they will come back again in forum, but instead they will create different token with new name.
Are you going to create a Flag for them or not?

Woops thank you for reminding me to create the flag! Though they are kinda responsive in their ANN thread, I do hope that they completely abandon this project so investors would be notified that such project is a scam.

Great, Another superb finding op. Keep your work is ongoing by catching such scammers. It seems most of the part of the whitepaper is copied same to same from others. You are so fast to catch them even before nobody posted after the ann thread created. So it makes sense that you are so active there. You should also ask them to come here for explaining.

I appreciate the kind words, Sujo.

To be honest, it just so happened that I stumbled upon their ANN and decided to check their whitepaper. To my surprise (actually no), the contents of their WP were copied and plagiarized fro various sources. I warned them on their ANN but the OP replied to me privately. I do hope that he replies and answers to my formal accusation now.

READ: I posted on their ANN accusing the project since contents of their whitepaper have been plagiarized from various sources. Fortunately, they replied but they admitted that they indeed, copied some parts. They did mention that they would edit their whitepaper after 24 hours but I saw no signs of any activity, thus this accusation.

Dude, why are you so hostile towards this project, lol. So Thrim and Unitrade (the ones that you posted) has same stuff in their whitepaper, did you report them too?  I don't know, out of literally hundreds of exact copy-cats shitswaps nowadays this one actually looks original.

Easy, because their whitepaper contained plagiarized contents which cannot be tolerated at all cost in this forum. There have been countless of cases where people lost their money due to tons of fake projects (which contained fake team members and plagiarized whitepapers) posted in the ANN board. We, members of this forum, have the imperative duty to report and to doubt any project which constitutes a prima facie evidence of a fake project (plagiarized whitepapers, fake team members, etc.).

I guess you will never understand until you experience being the victim of such project.

The difference is, this project has been posted in this forum and majority of the members here can see it. Though there have been times that I also reported projects not posted in this forum, the fact that it has more visibility and potential for people to invest it is more reason for me to report this project.

I am new member of Bitcointalk Community ,I don,t know how to Upgrade Newbie member to jr member or full member pleases help me

You created your account last February 2020 but your post history contained posts from participating into bounty threads. If you want to "upgrade" or rank up your account, you have to contribute something valuable or useful to the forum. With such contribution, people would see your post and potentially award you with merits and that will cause your rank to upgrade.

Another thing, aiming for merits should be your second or last priority. Your first priority should always be contribution to the forum as a whole. Like what most people said, if you contribute something valuable, merits would be the one chasing you and not the other way around. Good luck!

Hello, your accusation is well acknowledged. We admit parts of the text was "borrowed" from elsewhere and it's truly embarrassing, only the relevant parts however such as about DeFi in general or price oracle that we're integrating too, or multichain, which is also going to be used in Multiswap protocol, since the whole protocol is kind of an assemblage of different DeFi products into one. A few paragraphs of text doesn't make a whole project a scam, we hope you can understand. Anyhow, we fully admit the wrongdoing and apologize, and will fix it ASAP.

You should understand where I am coming from. If you were the ones who created the project from the very beginning, I honestly do not see the need on why you would copy and plagiarizied (not "borrowed") the contents of your project. I do understand that most projects nowadays have the same general information but is that difficult for you guys to create something original instead of copying it from other projects as well?

I am on the fence if I should create a scam accusation against your project. I would be checking your whitepaper by tomorrow and if the contents are the same and are unchanged, then I would be compelled to create an accusation.

3790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life, gambling and trials. on: November 23, 2020, 09:44:24 AM
I remember when I used to accompany my brother whenever he gambles, prior to visiting the casino, he always tells me to stop him after we reached a certain goal of winnings from his games. He also told me that I should stop him with all my might in order for him not to gamble away further the winnings he accumulated. You know what happened next? Despite stopping him with force, he lost all of his winnings and the money he saved from his monthly savings.

So, what do you guys do with the gambling money you get when you win the bet.

In connection with the story that I mentioned above, there were times that my brother always treats me food. He usually gambles around the months of October to November so the money that he wins will be used to buy Christmas gifts for the whole family. Also, my brother will just message me at night and we would eat some late dinner snacks from his gambling money.

This "gambling money" he told me, he sees it as a form of 'dirty money' that should be spent quickly.

Hi upon checking the contents of the whitepaper of Multiswap, I observed that parts of its contents were copied from several sources without giving due regard and recognition to the original source. Should you ignore my accusation, I will be compelled to create a scam accusation against this project. Kindly check the reference below, thanks!

Ignoring your messages means they don't have any plans to response or explain anything about your accusation. It just justified that they are guilty of the exposed information and since the account is newbie he doesn't seem to care at all.

But its good that you informed us about this. Regarding copy cat projects, there are more there doing these things and not using bitcointalk forum.

When the flag is activated will definitely supported it.

Thank you for the heads up about the flag!

Yup, OP did not respond to my accusation he proceeded to create another ANN which contained the same information as to his first ANN that he posted. He blatantly ignored the accusation that his project was copied from a proven scam project in the forum already. Such facts constitute and equate that this project is HIGHLY a scam too.

I have updated the flag and I wish that other forum members would support it!

I really appreciate your work and I would like to express my gratitude by applying what I learned from this tutorial. This would be my first gif here in the forum also!

READ: Last November 09, 2020, I posted on their ANN (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5287954) an accusation against the project since their website had a similar content with YFIM.MOBI's website. Unfortunately, defitoken ignored my accusation and proceeded to create a new ANN. As correctly pointed by @holydarkness, YFIB copied the contents of YFI.MOBI which was also a scam project that was last reposted on September 19, 2020

Copied content:

Do we have an ann thread for YFIM or an official timeline when they first started their project? Maybe unrelated, but those opening were also used in another YFI-letter project, this one is YFIQ, although they seemed to be dead now. How reputable is YFIM? Can't find their ann thread, I'd like to learn about them.

Edit: oh, nvm, they're scam too https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276879.0

This is just appalling and disgusting at all angles. To think that these scammers managed to get pass through the security of Google and they even made tons of fake reviews in order to convince more and more people that such application is genuine. I just hope that the security of Google must be improved as scammers are evolving nowadays, discovering new ways on how to achieve their vile goal.

Thank you for posting and notifying other users, Ratimov.

3797  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Price increase = scam increase - BE CAREFUL, friends on: November 20, 2020, 11:27:46 PM
There has been a proliferation of recently awaken accounts creating ANN threads with malware under the ANN board due to the price increase of bitcoin in this bullish market. In addition, some DeFi-related projects with recycled and copied information with another DeFi projects have also increased this week. I do hope that people would be extra cautious today given that scammers are attempting to at least take advantage of this present situation.

Increasingly fraudulent attempt at a time when bitcoin price are getting higher is normal in my opinion. This has been happening for a long time and even this effort continues when prices fall. Remember, scammer are never happy if they haven't hit their target. Therefore, being careful and aware as early as possible regarding fraud under the guise of investment is something that must be done. Don't force yourself to be greedy people, bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick scheme. This is a reasonable warning we say to anyone.

Lots of malware threads created by recently awaken accounts have been plaguing the ANN board currently due to the bullish market. I do agree that there is indeed, a connection between the increase of bitcoin's price and the presence of scammers in general.
3798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]Canelo Alvarez vs Callum Smith Super Middleweight Title on: November 20, 2020, 10:50:08 PM
I remembered when Canelo fought Mayweather last 2013 and from that fight, Canelo learned and trained from that fight. He gain all the knowledge, skill, and discipline which made him today's perfect warrior especially in his weight class. If I were to gamble and bet again (I vowed to stop), this would be one of the few exceptions that would let me gamble again.

Callum punches is no push over, but he may never had a great fight such as Canelo. Definitely a good fight, especially when the boxers likes to brawl this would be a good fight but i think Canelo would dominate this match considering he has face such Golovkin.
I wonder if Callum can match Canelo in his fighting style.

The power and technique that Canelo practiced is just too much but I do believe that this would be a good fight!

OP, I posted an accusation on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5287954 about the similarities of YFI.BIO to YFIM.MOBI and you failed to reply.

To anyone who wishes to purchase any tokens or to invest in this project, I highly suggest that you check the link above as this project is full of serious doubts and suspicions. There are plagiarized and copied contents of this project to another "yfi" project in the market. Again, I highly suggest to AVOID this project until OP answers to the allegation posted on the link above.

Recently in defi projects that are arrange their website with very minimal information. Like they don't care about the whitepaper, sometime they don't care about the correct roadmap, and team member is so far to care. The surprising things despite a short information still they plagiarize from other source. Smiley If the investor don't care about their money now they will will regret in near when btc will go to moon but they can not earn enough.

And yeah I have also noticed the photo of the tean members of this project. It’s look like computer generated and maybe they use a male face to make it female. 😀

Their usual practice is to post a DeFi project which has been recycled by countless of projects on the internet and post it under the ANN, token, or bounty boards. Newbies would try and participate in their bounties and the member who posted such project will not go online ever again. Unfortunately, DeFi projects have created a stigma that most are just plagiarized and copy-pasted projects across the same source over and over again.

*EDIT - I have updated the thread and added a FLAG. Kindly support in order to notify users of their suspicious behaviour. Thank you very much!
