No, spend your time making $ then buy BTC with that $. The amount of time it takes to get something out of a faucet makes for a very low wage.

Plus, such a reply with 'go away' coming from a moderator, is... It questions the very standards of this forum...
Please think, this is an official BitcoinTalk forum, and it is polluted not only by rude, out of content comments but also rude moderators.
Moderators can't have personal opinions? I'll agree with BadBear, you should go away.

Regarding this API limitation? Are you saying that btc-e api doesn't give your bot the ability to check current BTC/USD balances in realtime? I appreciate your concenrn. We do check balances obviously but there is no way to see if balance was increased by manual operation, robot trading or manual extra deposits. We recommend that you start fresh BTC-e acc and deposit just once before trading. Strange, this answer confuses me a bit more. Well, maybe not so strange How could there be no way of telling if balance was increased by manual operation? You know our USD/BTC balances. The bot obviously knows what trades it has executed, when, and for how much. I'm missing something here. Lazy programming, same reason you can't make the bot run based off of BTC instead of $.

Don't use web wallets.
Seriously - it always ends in tears.
This is some great advice. It sounds like TF doesn't know how to handle security, I wouldn't touch anything he does now and would advise others to stay away.

The forums count "logging in" or "sending an PM" as "posting"
tysat, you should probably add the whole 360 seconds thing to the Newbie Sticky. Not that anyone will read it.
Good call, edit time!

All you have to do is pull trade and transaction history, then do a little bit of comparing to figure out why the balance changed. ^ You can have that tip for free.

Is it just me that thinks it looks a bit dodgy when someone has activity of under 50 and post count 1000+? They must looove the forum...but not enough to read it, just post like crazy. It makes you check their last posts, which undoubtedly show what songs they are listening to, lots of pictures and hi to every newbie on the board Use the report to moderator button if you feel the need and we will review the user and take appropriate action. The odds are a person like that is spamming to get something, possibly a payout for signature space. Please report any spam posts you see.

Why not just create a new account (over a VPN) then only post from TOR? Easy way to post anonymously.

People who work in the service industry have it tough enough, I'm not going to make them jump through hoops to get their tip.
Come on, where is your contribution to The Movement? Trying to keep the forums clean doesn't count?

I could do this, you either send me BTC first or use JohnK for escrow. PM me some more details.

Alt-coins are the only way BTC avoids being an inefficient monopoly. Competition is almost always a good thing. Though maybe it would be good if there were only 3 or 4 alt-coins. I'm thinking maybe just LTC, FTC and Peercoin. More communities working on solving the challenges of cryptocurrency sounds like a good thing, though they are mushrooming too much.
BTC would never be what is now, without altcoins. You have to admint that What do altcoins add that Bitcoin needs?

Is constant bumping considered spamming?
Bumping is limited to 1 bump per 24 hours.

Not going to happen.
If you had done some research you would have found many other threads asking the same thing. The price has been fixed in BTC and will stay that way. New ranks may be created in the future, but current donator and VIP ranks will never lower in price.

hmm. i necro a thread every now and again. seems a bit harsh.
i would be upset if i got bad trust for that.
I'm not doing it for everything, just spammy ones really. Plus I'm removing the trust feedback if someone talks to me about it. Edit: Also, why do most people write Tysat instead of tysat? Seems like everyone is blind as to what I use

Anyone else notice this today on the front page of bitcointalk.com:
BitcoinTalk Discussion Board - WARNING – While Bitcointalk.org has a wealth of information about Bitcoin and some very knowledgeable members be aware that the site is run by scammers. Do not trust any of the ads and since the site administrators encourage the sale of accounts you can never be sure who you are dealing with. The site is being investigated by various law enforcement entities and was mentioned in a recent criminal indictments involving very serious crimes including torture and murder for hire as well as investment schemes. If you need technical support try MillyBitcoin.com
They do? It's allowed because it would be a lot harder to stop, and this way everyone knows that it's happening. I've never seen any posts encouraging account sales by an admin.

Tysat, a moderator, gives people negative trust for reasons that have nothing to do with trust. Here are his reasons for not trusting users: "Posted a new altcoin called "bitcoin" but it's a scrypt version instead of SHA256" "Posting altcoin stuff in the newbie section" "Sells Bitcoin Robot which doesn't actually make you BTC, ... Portfolio is valued in $ instead of BTC, this is what caused the issues." "Necros super old thread for no reason" "Sells accounts" "Thread necro'er" "Necro'd 2 month old post" "Necro'd a 2 year old post" "Necro'd 8 month old thread" "More speculation in the newbie section" "Necro'd alt-coin thread in the newbie section that was 4 months old"
As you can see. None of these have to do with trust or scams -- he just doesn't like the post or that someone responded to an old post. Digging up and replying to old posts is a red flag for sketchiness or someone who doesn't understand how forums work, usually it's the second. If that's the case the trust rating is used to get their attention, and I'll remove after talking with the person via PM. EDIT: I feel pretty confident in my ability to defend any of the feedback I've left as well, and if I can't defend the feedback then it will be removed. Feel free to challenge me on anything specific and I'll let you know the reasoning behind me leaving it.

" Best Performing asset in the world" says Keiser Report: Bitcoin - Resistance Starts Here! Watch this video discussing bitcoin profit potential in the new era of Currency 2.0 Bitcoin http://youtu.be/A2Cjo7CHh6wAnd you base your robot's profit off of $ instead of BTC? Seems a little silly.

Yes, but you can't have a blank trust list. Put someone else there in place of DefaultTrust and it should stick.
