I would trust Franko with just about any amount of my own money. Trust is earned, but he has earned it in my book. There are about 1000 pictures of Franko online by the way, he seems to like pictures of himself, haha. He even has maybe 50 videos of himself? Hard to get more transparent. Some others have mentioned they didn't like the sunglasses either, but it isn't on the website or Slack, and in time we will update the announcement thread as well and I will make sure no sunglasses are used then. (He just likes being silly sometimes for fun, really not an issue to be concerned with) Here is picture of Franko without his glasses.  Cool. Hope i'll never have to take out a smart contract on him. I am with known identity (I have even posted my ID here), but so what? PayCoin's "developer" was also known. You should both grow up. So far 99.5% of the altcoins (ot whatever asset/token) has no real purpose, instead cloning others and add some gimmicks. We should all work on spreading the word about them and accept the fact that Bitcoin is the King. P.S. Personally I did not follow Expanse (except the fact that I've had several conversations with defaced in the past few years), but I did followed SHIFT. The simple truth is that you guys screwed people who trusted you. You can say whatever you want, but fact is that personally I tried to help and at the end, you guys called me a cunt. Period. New low 0.00071536 and droping fast Think its time to sell what i have left and move on
Not much on sell books below 90k satoshi. I've been holding and will continue to hold even with these low prices. Expanse just launched last september, so I'm giving this one some time. The simple truth is Bitcoin is nearing halving so some people are selling alts a bit more, including Ethereum and most others. That makes some alt devs desperate so they are out trying to FUD big time, hoping to lure people in and keep their price up. Super shady stuff, but just what we have to deal with in the early days of cryptos with no regulations. Thanks for your support by the way, we do appreciate it and it means quite a bit. We also promise we will do our best to reward people like you in the future. Anyway, in a few more days I will have the first Newsletter out and there will be some news in it. |

Rest assured everyone on the team ALWAYS owns EXP, so getting some EXP slowly over time makes about zero difference whatsoever to price, as we are always holding some. We would only sell with increasing volume and prices, and even then only to cover what is needed, as we know the project is going to last and grow. Some stuff we have paid with BTC of our own, like the new website, but we negotiate the best prices for work as possible while still being fair. We HATE selling pressure more than anyone, we made it "rare" on purpose, and we designed the community funding, still untouched, to last forever very intentionally. (Check the Whitepaper for how this will work) This is something we are going to be working on for many years, at least if everyone in the DAO wants that down the road. I can assure you that we will be building up the project in a manner that benefits holders and makes them as happy as possible, at least as much as can. We certainly want everyone satisfied as if they were a partner with us. Keep in mind Franko worked on his previous project for years with no funding just because he is honorable and he still supports it now. So now we have funding and a very stable core team with great contributors. Yes, it sucks when the price goes down now and then, but you can't have one without the other, and I am sure there will be glorious increases in the future as well. You know for your self that you can not justify your zero "development" with several hundreds of BTC (300 BTC +). This gets me upset since it will make a very few people rich, and those who just started crypto, very poor. You really have no shame. Traders have made a lot more money in Expanse than Shift, and traders have made infinitely more than the devs of Expanse. Now that's more like it!  I would also mention we have a lot of reach in social media. The DES project was built on Expanse so we mentioned it, but we didn't promote it much as the dev is anon, so we can't be sure about it. If we were sure a dev was reliable and they built something on Expanse, we would promote it heavily for free to many thousands of people as it would be mutually beneficial. Yes, we can even work out a way to pay them some as well on top of that if it is good enough, as we want to get a lot bigger than we are and this could help. |

If you really think mining is the problen then POS is your answer
POS only would certainly cut down on new EXP coming in. This is just a good time to mine though, or accumulate, as even if we went hybrid we would cut it down some then. (less daily new EXP) |

Reason being that POS encourages HOLDING and accumulation. It simply rewards for holding. I hope EXP goes to POS in the future like ETH But a balanced mix of both POS and POW is more secure in the early stages of a coins evolution. At this point that is the plan. There will be variations from Ethereum, but we will be staying current and will update when they do. Although hybrid is also an interesting option, POS should happen either way. |

Yes you are right dump this shit, this coin is dead and community is full of assholes. Im out  Funny thing is the largest accounts on Bittrex continue to grow.  Where are you ? DES team back online price going up. Hope you did not sell cheap. I did, but all profit anyway so I bought back in a little, if things work out maybe I will get a couple more. I admit I am biased in favor of this project since DES is built on the Expanse Blockchain, and I am from Expanse. I would suggest getting someone the dev trusts and stays in contact with to keep the community informed. Most anon devs abandon projects and we expect them to be scams until proven otherwise. |

Think price will ever get back to .003 I'm down over five bitcoin so far with where the price is now and seem to be a new low every day lately
Most investors have an entry point above 100k on EXP. I don't see the price going much lower, but just hang on and things will be good. It is never a good idea to panic sell. For those that have the funds patience (usually) pays off, but all that is guaranteed is continued development and progress. Expanse is here to stay however, so there is very little risk of the worst case scenarios that are in some other projects. I would also mention Bitcoin rallying will create some temporary lower prices for Alts in general. Those that have been around awhile know this. When Bitcoin is stable, Alts do better. The great thing of course is that if Bitcoin does end up a bit higher, so does Expanse. |

yeah that tweet was a mistake, if you can't follow up within days than wait. whoever posted this should get 50 whiplashes to learn his lesson. we could let the DAO vote on this that beeing said keep up the great work 50 lashes sounds about right. (haha) While I think stuff like that can be fun at times, hints like that are extremely easy to figure out if you think about it, and timelines are going to vary with implementation and acceptance by others in some cases. I prefer never mentioning anything until it is ready myself, and quite a few other things are also going on besides this anyway. |

Any updates from the devs?
What I was thinking might be useful would be a bi-weekly update newsletter. These would show what is currently being worked on, stats, and what has been completed in the last few weeks, along with any news related to Expanse like Destiny or any 3rd party dApps, and future DAO voting results once it starts. Would a newsletter like this be useful to those following more casually? Perhaps start of the month and mid month updates? |

Interesting, but if you look at Ethereum and most other alts they are also in the same situation with price, so the variance is more likely related to BTC itself I think. The halving event for Bitcoin, and concerns about the block size debate seem like the biggest factors right now. Although I am some sure miners do their thing for profit. (normal) |
