why is price rise of expanse not corelated with ETH yet? any opinions?
I think Expanse has to last and prove the platform to enough people first. As more people get involved, and more results are delivered, this could change in the future.

When is anything going to be announced.. its awfully quiet in here
Ask in Slack if you want more details. When Dan is done with the visuals the Roadmap will be out I believe, I think Franko has some stuff he also wants completed at the same time included on it.

Anyone gona buy this off me? Price is so low, why is there no interest in this project at all?
Why do you think there is no interest in exp? 173 people signed up for Slack, and we have key slots on some of the best Alt exchanges. Volume and price will vary, that is cryptos, but rest assured quite a bit is underway and there is plenty of interest.

Is there an API to the official block explorer yet ? I'd like to pull some basic data via API instead of setting up something special
bump... I will ask Dan about it, I think the block explorer is pretty much an early version at this point and not the final one. I will forward the request to him now however.

how solo mining?
Solo mining is great I hear, if you know how to do it. I just use the pool myself as I don't have a lot of time for mining.

@CryptoClub Do you think that it is possible to mine Expanse with a CPU? Maybe it won't be much hashrate as a GPU, but still it will be something. I have an Intel Core i5 3rd Generation CPU (quad core) I think it is possible technically, but anything that can be mined with a GPU doesn't make sense to mine with a CPU. You would lose money on power and find almost nothing with it, or nothing. The only exceptions might be if you have a lot of CPUs and free power, but I personally don't mine anything with CPU, and even CPU only coins are dominated with Bot nets and very unprofitable.

Splash or Cogs is cool. Nothing with Hash, there was a previous scamcoin called that.

New blog post up for those into reading stuff. (haha) Related to some of the problems of cryptos and our solutions for them. http://blog.expanse.techCool stuff! The more info you put online the more you put the coin out there Small error though, there's an extra space before the 'and' of the line "or controlling most of the tokens or developers outright! Sadly, strong personalities, authority, and ". Thanks, it was cut and paste a few times, an extra space must have gotten in there. I also agree having the team write blogs and keep people updated helps over time. Just a little thing, but easy enough to do.

Based on alts like Litecoin, speculation for it happens in advance, usually earlier than you think. I would guess a couple months early. When it actually happens everything will be priced in and just another day. (might suck for my mining of BTC, but I guess it will be worth more..)

Yes, and the FUD is likely a signal to buy.

No one is talking about bitcoin anymore.
Ohh the irony of that statement ^ Oddly, people are talking more about Bitcoin than ever. For years I have been talking to people about it, now people are asking me since they recall I mentioned it in the past.

We should have a roadmap soon, although we have been talking about what we are doing the entire time, people do love the roadmaps! This will include everything completed, in progress, and planned.
Having a roadmap is good for the coin but in terms of the whitepaper for EXP, will the official paper be released soon? Just asking for curiosity now that previous whitepaper releases were just public drafts. One thing that I am looking forward to is the Borderless.tech Looks promising to me. I asked Dan to add it to the website, for now you can find the white paper here. (pinned right at the top -- as for the draft description, everything will be tweaked and improved over time) https://www.facebook.com/groups/expanseofficial/So basically what you're doing is defining a DAO and calling it a "whitepaper"? I hope nobody reads too far into it... This was actually too much detail for many people, but the DAO design is not just a definition of such, and also details on how it would work in practice. If you have questions feel free to ask or add your own ideas, but if you think we just defined DAO and made it a white paper, clearly you didn't read it as there are unique concepts never mentioned elsewhere.

How much time we can expect approximatively for the roadmap ? thanks we are like #110 with 50k market cap on cmc lol Just a question of credibility ,this coin is a bomb We should have a roadmap soon, although we have been talking about what we are doing the entire time, people do love the roadmaps! when the 11 milion premined dev coin will go to the market i hope that someone will come to devs house....
Ehm alright, so this is what this forum has turned into. Let's buy coins we have no idea about with money I shouldn't lose and let's start a witch hunt on the first devs that seems to wanna scam people. Maybe don't buy shit you don't trust? I doubt the devs are dumb enough to dump their 11 mil coins into the market from a public address that everyone can track. Franko has been around for years and has something like 30k followers on social media total. I have maybe 10k total myself. Dan is a total professional and highly trusted. We are planning on being around for a long time and care way more than you can imagine about the future of the project. I understand concerns, but really, the price went up to several hundred thousand sats in the past and everything has been fine for months. Franko maintained projects for years. The team is solid.

So how does it work with the premine? The devs get 1% or 110,000 EXP per month? Then, can they do whatever they want with those 110,000? or do they need to vote on what happens with those funds?
If its a vote, does the public see the results of the vote in real time? For example if the devs decide to dump for funds, do we get to know right away?
Great questions. Most of the reserve/premine is for the community to vote on and is not designed to go to the founders/team. There is 1 million exp for the team that we get for doing the work, that is set aside for the future, and we will start distribution of it once we have built up the project and value enough. This is a long term project and we designed it so we could fund it for the long run. Only a small amount will be released to team members at a time, and that is down the road once the project is ready for it. (It will be announced well in advance) So right now for example, I only have what EXP I might be mining. Down the road the team will have some more, but we we would only use for funding carefully as we are experienced traders and want to support the market as much as possible. The vast majority is for funding 3rd party devs and projects to build up the value. All of that will be transparent, and votes in that case will be based on blockchain snapshots, at least in terms of EXP based votes. Not sure if real time updates, but certainly everything would be fairly quick with all other results at that point. The Whitepaper goes into a bit more detail. I have it uploaded here in case you are interested: https://www.facebook.com/groups/expanseofficialVery excited about the project. 1. "There is 1 million exp for the team that we get for doing the work, that is set aside for the future, and we will start distribution of it once we have built up the project and value enough" What is the metric for enough value? 2. "(It will be announced well in advance)" A week, a few weeks, a month ? 3. When will you be releasing a short term and long term roadmap? 1) Essentially we need enough volume and marketcap to support development and to bring in more people. I think the marketcap should be quite a bit higher in the long run, but that is a personal opinion. If that happens, then we should be able to add a lot more value and options, beyond just what the team can do, but also by bringing in new people and new creative ideas -- although we have plenty ourselves. 2) Working for the future can only go on so long, so in time we will need some distribution, sooner the better in my mind. Hopefully within weeks. When we get some payments I think we can just make them really small and spread out. Weekly perhaps. There will be a lot of incentive to hold EXP over time as well with voting and so on, so ideally not everyone that gets paid in EXP sells all of it. 3) We have the white paper out that essentially defines what we are working on, although in stages, various contacts and political elements I believe is first in line. Some cleanup of existing stuff like the website and wallet, block explorer. As we bring new people in we can also expand this sort of thing.

Too lazy to re-read thread... Is there a linux gui?
Hi Jason! Dan has Windows and Mac out at this time, Linux is "soon", although a non GUI version is out. The GUI is really a test wallet at this point. (although it works fine)
