It wouldn't require another fork. I would just show the exchanges how to snapshot at that block and not accept anything past it. This means your clients would still work until block 16,000, but anything after block 10,000 would be completely ignored

This coin looks promising. Hope I'm not to late to this party. Will try to pick up some dumps  Good plan, just check the charts and set your orders. Very stable compared to most, and we expect the next run up might be better than the last.  So when will the final testing of the smart assets/service-backed assets be done? How many weeks left? Days left? Hours left? I hear this will be a first in crypto, beating the larger marketcapped decentralized asset exchanges in innovation. Mind some elaboration? I also hear from wild talks that Horizon's next releases will put its marketcap to around $1,500,000 (some 1k sat price). What makes you confident that this might happen?  Hey, these are partnerships with 'real world' companies, so there has been a lot of discretion and secrecy around development. I can't give you an exact release date, other than the standard 'sooner rather than later'. It's a crypto first, and will provide actual use for crypto currency (and alts) outside of a standard currency use and money transfer and storage. Service backed assets are the future, and that has been our focus from day 1. We look forward to sharing more with our communities and the world, very soon. I don't want to speculate on price on a public forum, but take a look on what's over a million dollar market cap and see what they offer. Take a look at our roadmap and watch our announcements and releases and do a comparison. No, it's a static 1,000,000 per day right now. Subject to change. Perspective: Viacoin miners dump 18,000 coins per day. From December 2014 to February 2015, average price of Via was 9,800 satoshis. That's 1.764 BTC worth per day. Currently, Horizon nodes may be dumping 1,000,000 coins per day. At current price of 120 satoshis, that's only 1.2 BTC per day. And Horizon is about to release something innovating. 1.2 BTC per day is good profit if you're the only node. But you have to share the bounty with other nodes. At these prices, you're still wasting electricity if you're selling right away. The node distribution system (amount per day) was also adjusted in the past, and that lessened the selling pressure quite a bit. I think it is about right now, but of course subject to change if need be. |

I voted for the snowballs option, ideally something I don't have to mess with, it just stakes and does what it does. I like the notion of some element of chance to it, so snowballs sounds the most interesting. I also bought some Snowballs to try it out. |

HZ is another Nxt clone with a vibrant community and a larger dev team. HZ has a very good crypto currency infrastructure with many public nodes and has a still ongoing good distribution. They also have good relations to the industry and good marketing. Most of this is missing for NFD but we have a good core development team, which HZ is missing. NFD and HZ ‘s teams share the same ideas and the same vision. This all led to the idea to work together on one coin. Together we are stronger, faster, better! HZ is actively traded on Poloniex and Bittrex. The recent Bter disaster has not affected HZ. HZ is offering a buy out for NFD coins. This is an option for the NFD community to move with the NFD development team and also benefit from the team merge. The HZ dev team has already set up an automated script to make exchanging your NFD easy and convenient. As a welcome to us, the HZ team settled on a fair exchange rate of 1 HZ to 25 NFD. The exchange itself is scheduled to start on March 9th.The HZ team doesn’t want to release a lot of HZ all at once, which would prompt concern about flooding the market. I am laughing at those Node bounty's!. I have been mining for 2 days on the multi pool and earned around 1400 HZ (4.3MHS minimum, sometimes 20MHS) and these guys are getting nearly 1200 in 24 hours. I could setup at least 8 nodes (when i get my first sorted + paid) 1138 x 8 = over 9k a day. Not been funny, but isn't that a little to much ?. It is like a constant dump because of profit. There is a fixed supply that can be obtained with nodes, so in essence it should balance out as enough people do it and finally don't profit anymore, then stop doing it. The volume is high enough now to absorb it, and this also helps distribute HZ and keep the volume going. Eventually the distribution period ends, but there are future plans for nodes to stick around. |

I like the: "leave it in Spots capable hands" option. I was talking with some people and they made some good points, you don't want everyone to just dump after the 21 days, so it needs some kind of hook to keep people interested after that. Some type of lotto staking or something unique sounds good.

Now that the blockchain is moving again, it's tempting to dump. Especially for those who rented rigs and bought nicehash. Understandable, they want to ROI. I was tempted myself when I first moved all my coins to bittrex. But I want to taste some of the stake, 1st. So I will leave alone. Especially, if this coin's staking is going to be revved up. Faster staking will mean a better return. after how the community pulled in and dev came back and put his money where his mouth is, im holding it was 100% loss yesterday today its worth something i think ill tough it out 1 sat or 10 k its all good now cant lose more than all lol! so lets GAMBLE Price was 8k sats and rising with the newbie anon dev, before we found out there were staking problems. Now, we have a pro dev takeover, the great branding still, and rock bottom prices with a clearly defined chart Hardly a gamble, this is free money at this price, for real. For that matter, I will do a little free promotions later to help as well since I own some, and because Igotspots and the rest helped. I want to help this coin be very successful! Once blocks start rolling is the only option to move coins to one of the exchanges in preparation of new chain? I know from way back the Asiacoin migration allowed you to use old wallet file for use in the new client. Just curious on the process.
I doubt miners and pool operators will want to donate resources for very long, so if that is the required step people will want to do that right away.
