Bitcoin is down 10% today, so we are looking at 3.5%, pretty much nothing. I would like to get the new miner though. Until then I will mine something else.

I am big on loyalty and rewarding people that do good things in cryptos. There was absolutely no reason this coin could not have skyrocketed later, until the dev stuck a knife in it and killed it, spitting on the people that stood by him. Bone headed move, makes no sense, makes me look bad after saying Igotspots is a solid dev. I removed my positive trust rating, dumped this coin, and Balls, and I will tell everyone that ever asks to avoid every single one of his coins. Thanks for nothing, I bought more coins trusting in you, you did the opposite of helping, you caused more harm.

I have to admit to having a really crappy time with some staking alts recently. This one is actually fun for a change, I like it. I was really happy to see I got lucky and found a block solo staking! Pretty bad ass, and shows to me that the damn thing works. So mining and bought a little bit too. Smiley
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VNL] VanillaCoin.net [WhirlpoolX Algo] [Whitepaper Inside] [Poloniex] Update! on: March 18, 2015, 03:30:03 AM
I've  know Wolf` from before VNL came about. He doesn't dev coins, period. So anyone thinking he made VNL with John or made any other coins is mistaken. What Wolf` does, and he does it very well is improve upon gpu miners that are already in existance, and sometimes creates his own.  Some of you probably remember back in the X11 optimization days when Gorino releases an improved minor with a donation %. Well that was quickly hacked out and around the same time a partner of Wolf's leaked his optimized X11, which to this day most of you are using.  Later Wolf optimized neoscrypt for UFO coin and publicly released it.  And just like Earlz and djm38 needed time to get a gpu miner for Pluck/SUP out because of bugs and testing, that is what is going on right now.  Currently I am testing it for 280x and someone else is for 290x. I have been testing it for two days now, at first the cards were throwing of HW errors and Wolf and I solved that, but the miner also uses a lot of CPU resources and Wolf is trying to get that to ease up a bit.  I don't think the 290x has been successfully tested yet, but my preliminary numbers are about 200MH-240MH depending on the 280x memory type and bios, up from the standard 130MH-135MH, but the rigs are drawing more electricity obviously.  Once this is finished and ready for public release Wolf plans on releasing it. I have 8 280xs and they have been down while testing for driver updates, maintenance, etc. So I have about 2GH which is less than 2% of the nethash and I also have my rigs up to rent at MRR (see my sig below), so I am only getting about 500 coins/day and I am holding them all because I believe in this coin and John and Wolf's hard work.  Nobody has some huge farm with optimized miners, there is no leak from Wolf or I. Some other coders have also optimized their miners, but not as much as Wolf.  When you see 25GH from someone just go check NiceHash. Those huge hashers are renting the hash from NH and some from MRR.  In all the coins I've worked with, the distribution of this coin has been the fairest.  Now we just need to know John's future plans and get some marketing going!

I am usually pretty good at picking winning coins, and this is the only new coin I am looking at seriously now that has a chance to last. I think too much work has gone into this for it to not be legit. As for some miners getting an edge, it always happens, nothing is perfectly fair and we all want an edge. I sure would and will mine with the better miner once I can. That also doesn't mean getting in Darkcoin or Monero early was a bad idea, even though some people got an edge on others and mined a ton before many of us could, just how it goes. This one actually appears MORE original than either of those, so hell with the FUD, I am staying in.

nice !

To the moon!

Beware, this coin is released under corporate-unfriendly GNU Affero General Public License I had to read, remember and then re-implement last XOR step of WhirlpoolX. Just two lines of code, not a big deal, but...
The AGPL license forbids derivative works to be distributed without source. We are aware. Cool

Thank you for your support.

I think I should buy more.

Dollar a coin soon then?

Does anyone suggest me mining this from within the wallet with a 2011 Macbook Pro laptop or might that damage the laptop from overheating?  Looks like I'll get around 750kh/s.

i would suggest not to do that mate, with GPU miner ppl easily reach hundreds of MHS so i guess 0.75 MHS will only make your lappy tired  Undecided . But its okay if you have a strong feeling that someday VNL would reach value more than BTC  Roll Eyes only then your laptop hardwork finally paidoff, hopely  Wink .
the choice is yours

GPU only I would say, not worth it with CPU now. I am sure you would pay more for power, so just buy a little instead and get more.
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ECASH Coin Swap Revival | Pure Proof of Stake | Cloud Staking on: March 16, 2015, 10:01:02 PM
I actually haven't sold a single one of those coins. I used 160k of it to fund the dice game, but that's the only amount I've even moved. You can pay for an explorer and I'll give you the address it's on so you can check the balance. I've already done enough to help this coin so I don't feel like looking for someone to do an explorer. I've already told you guys dasource will do it, but you can pay for it because I don't care enough to, plus I have nothing to prove, really, so what does it matter to me

For whatever it is worth I am holding and staking, and you certainly have nothing to prove. I have Snowballs as well now. I do have around 10k followers total in Social Media, and I have already mentioned this coin a few times. If for some reason it ends up going up in value later, I will definitely post lots of exciting charts going up for the world to see. It is super rare, and super cheap, and has great branding. If different people buy a little and stake, and people do what they can, this coin could be very successful. The name is solid, works great. That is a good start.

The coin is impressive enough that I rebuilt and got my GPU rigs running again, I liked mining Darkcoin for many months and selling some later. This feels something like that. Anon dev is risky of course, but so much work has been put in I am not too worried.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ECASH Coin Swap Revival | Pure Proof of Stake | Cloud Staking on: March 13, 2015, 06:15:32 AM
I've been inviting him back to do his plan with no response

That proves my point.

I know  Sad

No big loss. If the coin does well down the road I will certainly share the information widely, and have already talked to quite a few people about it. A lot of people I think are staking now and happy with a solid staking coin. I appreciate the work of Igotspots and such, so I am holding and staking, and will support the coin however I can.

"Smart Libertarian pure PoW emission with future PoW/PoS Hybrid"

Sorry if this has been asked before, and not looking for a timeline, just curious if there are any specifics about this idea? Sounds *very* interesting.

Anybody think the price is at the bottom on Bittrex right now?

I mostly look at the marketcap and potential for increases, I think it is likely to go much higher over the 30 days of 8% interest, and then totally unknown once we switch into the 10k-20k staking. Marketcap of 9k-10k for a known dev coin is dirt cheap, but just set low orders if you think anyone else will dump. Has a catchy name too, E-MONEY, ECASH, I like it. -- It was at 8k sats and rising on the old blockchain (this is infinitely better now), ideally we return to that in the future and go higher, but anything can happen I guess.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ECASH Coin Swap Revival | Pure Proof of Stake | Cloud Staking on: March 12, 2015, 02:30:38 AM
Poof! On to the next 1 might I suggest 10k

Why are you loaded and need to sell?

I will gamble on this new one with the extremely small marketcap. I admit I did buy some balls to stake as well after Igotspots did all the work on recreating this one from scratch. The wise thing imho is just stake and wait, maybe set low orders for more, especially with a cheap rare new coin created by a pro dev, but what do I know?
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: March 11, 2015, 08:22:38 PM
Can anyone please update account aliases shown in the block explorer?

Next update the aliases will be updated again on the explorer (We are in the process of finishing the new version of the explorer.)

The primary focus right now for our primary development team are the HZxchange, automated transactions, smart contracts, reworking the digital market and service place  and finishing fixing the GUI bugs in the wallet.

Our UI developer is working on finishing the forums, cleaning up the mobile version of the site, and updating the explorer + faucet.

Our partnered dev teams with Blocknet and Bitnation are focused on bringing live the Blocknet / Horizon 'Xbridge', which will link the networks, and the identity / reputation system, done by Bitnation which will then be ported over for Horizon.

We will be debuting our first service backed assets very soon as well. We are also in the process of having everything translated for our Chinese community, which we intend to expand into very rapidly in the next couple months.

As always, our teams are working full steam ahead, and I'm personally in talks with a bunch of prospective partnerships that will further bring Horizon to the forefront for real world adoption, and tech development.

I'd also like to mention that we are over 50% distributed and approaching our 1 year anniversary! We will have something fun to mark the occasion.

Thanks for your continued patience, and support. It's really nice to see the community continuing to grow.

Thanks for all your hard work, yes, it is really nice Smiley

Hi spots!  New coin working well thank you.  Competing is hard with 11,000 coin orphans happen but better than old code lol

You're welcome, but you should seriously consider doing your original advertising plan, now that this works

With the staking, I admit I look at the wallet many times a day, and staking nicely! Advertising might actually work in this situation. (people checking on their staking)
1297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: March 11, 2015, 06:23:16 AM
Sorry for my ignorance... I haven't checked ROC threads in 6-7 months... What's going on with rpc? I hold quite a few and don't want to loose or burn them? What's up?

There was a snapshot in the past for this upcoming BTS clone, now we are just waiting to see what the story was. (I bought a lot of RPC as the people that recommended this from the BTS community implied it was legit, but sold after the snapshop, and of course, the crash) -- Now I am not sure?

RPC itself is an old scrypt coin, could get popular again, hard to say.

is it just me or does the topic title say ShadowDash instead of cash lmao

lol, who did that

lol, no the real rebrand is changing shadow over to Darkcash. lol

For real? I bought some SDC tonight as the Darkcoin to Dash rebrand might get some people to abandon ship. Is this Shadowdash now? People are fucking with me I think? Darkcash was a Carsen coin, but a good name.

Of course not.

Shadow will stay Shadow. Anonymous tech is not for mainstream adoption. It might be used for mainstream applications, but people won't realize they are using the ShadowNetwork

We don't understand the point of changing the name to something "better for media", that's why they're is a little joke about the DRK rebranding in the SDC OP  Roll Eyes

Huge blunder on their part (Dash). Guess we will see how much over the next few weeks. Just realize I never would have imagined Darkcoin would change their name, so I bought some Shadow and then went here, and was like WTF? Has the world gone mad? Good joke anyway.

1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ECASH Coin Swap Revival | THE BEST FUCKING COIN EVER on: March 10, 2015, 07:27:36 AM
To my knowlege no investors lost money on this. Ive followed this coin from minute 1 of release. Here is the VERY short version of what happend.

1. New unknown dev creates the coin
2. It was supposed to switch to POS at a few thousands blocks (dont remember exact checkpoint)
3. Coin stopped moving blocks.
4. New emoney dev that created the coin admitted that he really didnt know how to fix
5. Experienced dev IgotSpots showed up, and offered to help fix.
6. After Dev Igotspots looked over the code he realized that the code was very dirty and very flawed, and did his best to clean it and get it working. He got it working well enough for us to upload coins to Bittrex.
7. Dev Igotspots realized that the blockchain had many issues and it would be best to create a new wallet, and a whole new chain. He instructed everyone to upload all of their coins to Bittrex
8. Dev Igotspots got everything working perfect, but Bittrex took DAYS to swap the coins and update the wallet.

TODAY: Everything is working 100% perfect, however because of all that this coin has been through, I think investors are shying away and waiting to make sure everything is good, and then they will hop in, as the daily stake is 8% DAILY interest for 30 days then pos reward is 10,000-20,000 percent. So thats the short version. It may take a few days for investors to see that everything is working perfect, and then price will rise.

Vegas

New wallet is perfect, this is a brand new coin now. Staking and going to get that nice interest. Price is still distressed, but once people realize this is not the same coin anymore, it should recover nicely. The old ECASH sucked, the new ECASH is THE BEST FUCKING COIN EVER. Wink
