But if the coin is fixed and the dev (with the plan) is gone, what's the point?
A lot of us liked the idea of the 8% daily staking and then changing after 21 days. What is the point of any alt? Staking coins are generally for fun or to make profit. This one has a good brand name and a Bittrex slot. The premine is intact and people are willing to donate to get it fixed. It could also be bought dirt cheap now, fixed, and a lot of profit could be made.. Perhaps the community could come up with different ideas too, but for a positive the premine was not dumped and is secure, Bittrex slots usually cost 2k ,unless you know the right people, and honestly, I just want to see the damn thing stake at this point. Been staring at the wallet for days, off and on, waiting for it to start. That's not true. I have three coins on Bittrex and never paid a cent. Paid slots = your face getting dumped on Well, the premine and donations are there if anyone has the talent and wants to help. |

Not sure why but I'm trying to log into my wallet and it warns me I'm about to login to testnet instead.
I also can't access the forums, the link bring me back to main page.
There is a UI (visual only) bug with the web wallet for some machines right now, try using the full wallet. |

For the value of our node system he claimed, and he wanted to use it in Supernet for something he had planned. HZ is the first clone of NXT, but with what we think is a much better distribution system than NXT. I also didn't know that jl777 made NXT? I thought he was behind Supernet and various assets? If you are talking about Blocknet, they are not using the Cluster design of Supernet and doing something *very* different. Anyway, free market competition is fine really, plenty of alts are based on Bitcoin, and HZ was the first based on NXT. What cluster design of SuperNET? I'm still waiting to hear how a kademlia network is not defined as p2p? Also, no, I meant MGW. HZ is crowdfunding something jl777 did himself with no outside funds. Why not just release it? "SuperNET stores your coins on 2-of-3 multi-signature addresses, each hosted on its own server, with a copy of each blockchain. Together they are referred to as clusters. " (Not saying that isn't awesome, just pointing out that there are some differences) MGW for NXT also had an asset, I bought it myself on the NXT asset exchange and traded it. So I agree with you about that then, that is very much like MGW for NXT. Having it as an asset allows the community to buy in and participate if they like, and it is being run by one person on the team, much like jl777 did for MGW -- This also creates more demand for HZ, helps the platform overall.  |

Has the dev disappeared, and who is holding the entire premine right now?
ocminer is holding the premine of 40k coins. Ok, at least it's in trustworthy hands. So the dev has nothing, other than their personal stash of what they mined? Yes, premine is secure, people willing to donate if need be. Heck, I would buy your other coins with profit if that helps. I mined a bunch, has great branding and a Bittrex slot, just needs staking. I don't really care about the advertising stuff they promised, although I can think of some ways that could be interesting... I just think the 8% daily for short duration then switching was interesting. |

Well I just checked a few basic things in their source, and I must say...this is written very poorly - Decimals are coded incorrectly
- Comments in git are inaccurate
- Stake rewards are based on a 365 day calendar and do not calculate for leap years
- Fees are improperly written
- Trying to limit moneysupply in the wrong spot
- Minimum stake age is not what is written in the OP
I got a PM to check this code out and without reading the thread, my guess is coins won't send properly and it most likely isn't staking correctly These are simple fixes, among the others I'm sure I didn't check. I suggest fixing them all before posting your 'fix.' And let this be a lesson to everyone...use fucking testnet before you post shitWell, if the dev abandoned us there is a massive premine waiting for you to help us. We already have a nice Bittrex slot, the branding is good. Just needs someone that can code it seems, like a really good staking coin coder  it is just 40k...what are you talking....massive, than I have super massive amount of coins It was a 1% premine before POW was cut short, so someone would have to do the math, but the premine is higher than 1% anyway. |

He did though, he changed "Bitcoindark" to "Xcoin" several times. XCO is also the original Darkcoin. Xcoin. I'm pretty sure he means that all the text is exactly the same except the name. Dev didn't even change the specs for this coin in the readme lol I know, I was kidding around. I actually thought it was coingen, but at least it is cloned from something decent? Thinking about mining it, just not sure about it. It would really need to get on other exchanges to get anywhere. |

The dev must make sure that the code is proper this time in order to ensure a smooth transition after block 6000, otherwise it will be a **** up. If things go well it could go very well but if things go bad it could go very bad.
Exactly. I think it was just the unique design that was hard to test, and maybe a typo. Xcurrency had the same problem really, ended POW early, and that one went to millions in marketcap. |

Hello Cypherfunks! You have a nice idea here guys. A few suggestions: - Make it a N-factor scrypt (ASIC resistant). This will attract more people and keep the ASICS out (this is really important). - Why not promoting it as a decentralized currency for digital distribution of music. This way the musicians can benefit from the crypto-currency revolution directly. FUNKS can be used to promote, sponsor, advertise .etc the new artists - In general you could make it about all the bedroom producers and garage acts not only your band and assist the music community to become decentralized too. Again a great idea ! It's important to note that "The Cypherfunks" is not MY band. Everyone IS the band. Just like cryptocurrencies allow free reign to affiliation, so will "The Cypherfunks": but for music. Also, you don't have to release music under "The Cypherfunks" to reap benefits from it, just like musicians currently ask for Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin donations. That is cool, I didn't realize exactly what "The Cypherfunks" was till now. |

yea this could go either way. i slept on it and it hit me...this could go to 30-50k as ppl start getting desperate for coins. i think getting in SUB 2k is ideal.
I mined enough of it that I care. The price is cheap and there is a secure large premine with Ocminer. The Bittrex slot is worth about 2 thousand dollars, honestly, and the branding is solid. I think the odds are pretty good. |
